I try to stop any time I’m in the Cleveland area and love taking people that are visiting. Today I again had the smoked salmon BLT. In all the years this one was the best, cooked just right. My wife had the Philly steak sandwich and onion rings.

Google
Quiet and welcoming. Our bartender Jason was awesome and attentive, constantly making sure our drinks were filled. The food was amazing. The tenders were crispy with a juicy inside. The pretzel bites were fantastic as well and not overdone. The dipping sauces provided were great as well. This is the first place we have seen a family guy pinball game!! Good prices..

Google
Absolutely beautiful bar that they have here. It was my first time ever there yesterday night, and the experience was perfect. Walked in, sat down at the bar just in time for the Cavs game. I got some drinks, and then I ordered some food. The service was top notch, the food was top notch, everything was top notch. I think I paid around $55 for an appetizer, main dish, and 6 drinks. You can’t beat that deal. I will be back there again for sure, because right now it’s currently my most favorite bar in the greater Cleveland area.

Google
Waitress isn’t super friendly but she’s ON IT and she’s all business! Vibe is cool there, always fun. Unfortunately , the Hot chicken was absolutely terrible. Chicken alone was fairly tender, but the flavor of the hot sauce absolutely ruined it. Pretty much inedible, just hot with no seasoning. Chips were greasy, probably won’t order that dish again.

Google
The legendary Salmon BLT was great, as expected. The Walleye sandwich was the most flavorful we've had anywhere. The place is an old-school consistent landmark. And of course- great drinks!

Google
Happened by on a Monday early afternoon. We almost didn't go in since the posted hours online said they are closed on Mondays. It was a laid back vibe. The food and drinks were great! They've got a couple pinball machines which were fun to play.

Google
I’ve heard the Hot Chicken sandwich here is one of the best chicken sandwiches in Cleveland and I can say it did not disappoint at all. Service was great and place has an awesome atmosphere. The Mac and cheese was really good and paired with the sandwich perfectly so well worth adding it

Siesien

Google
The steak is the worst steak I have ever eaten, and the bartenders are very rude. Plus, when you have had a few drinks, they won't serve you, so avoid if you want more than a few drinks.

Yelp
Great food and larger "local bar" atmosphere. Outstanding selection of drinks and beers. They real do make great food for a bar. BTW this place is NOT in Tremont, so disregard that review.

John S.

Yelp
Best bar tenders in CLE. Great prices, excellent service and always a friendly place. Nothing better

Briana B.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect when I walked in but oh my goodness Raquel and the rest of the staff (kitchen staff, mwah- you saved me) made my whole night. The lighting and music was exactly what I needed after the day I had. The food was amazing and unexpected (fried asparagus?! SO GOOD. I've never written a review before but I had to because I am so impressed!! Thank you so much for making an "out of towner" feel right at home. I'll be back 100%

Yelp
Really like the atmosphere at this local establishment. The bartenders were attentive and I felt welcomed from the moment I sat down. Their FB page states live music on WED and SAT and that is no longer. They need to update this info. It's their FB page- get it done!

Yelp
For the fourth stop of Cleveland Ohio trip we went to Parkview Nite Club. The batter fried asparagus was really good. I had a walleye sandwich and he had a fried chicken sandwich. The newly painted mural of Guy is cool as this a DDD stop that does not disappoint!

Yelp
Fresh. Creative tasty I believe that the cost of the main items offered in the food area well within line with other operations that offer somewhat the same product as Parkview.

Yelp
Hey folks, just wanted to share a recent experience I had at this bar in Tremont. 2 couples dropped by after a bike ride, looking forward to a chill time. Unfortunately, things didn't go as smoothly as we hoped. The bartender, a woman, took my order with zero enthusiasm and practically snatched the menu out of my hands before I could even decide what to get. It was a bit off-putting, to be honest. When the rest of our friends showed up, we grabbed a spot at one of the checkered tables, and the whole rude routine repeated itself when she took our orders - quick and brusque. As the night went on, we started putting two and two together. Turns out, the bartender wasn't too thrilled about the fact that we had two service dogs with us. Now, mind you, both couples in our group had people dealing with some serious medical issues, and two of us are doctors. We tried explaining our situation, but it felt like she had a strong dislike for dogs, service or not. All of us have worked in bars as we were working our way through college- so we get it, but pure rudeness. I hate to say it, but this bartender deserves an award for the rudest service I've ever encountered. The place itself seemed alright, and the other patrons were cool, but if you're in the mood for attitude and mediocre food, this might be your spot. On the flip side, if you're rolling with service dogs or have genuine health concerns, I'd recommend checking out other joints in the area. No need to deal with unnecessary drama when you're just trying to enjoy a good time with friends.

Yelp
Food was decent not the best nor not the worst its just a place where you go to hang out and drink. Its a historical site service was very good it wss getting crowded when leaving bar was full .

Yelp
Christina is amazing!!! I was so dehydrated during a run and stopped in and she gave me a water and talked to me!!! Amazing lady

Yelp
The best hidden gem Cleveland has to offer. Ive been here a handful of times and have never been disappointed. Everything about this place is enjoyable. It's a great atmosphere and the vibe is always on. The staff are great, the food is awesome and the people are friendly. A lot of locals hangout here and plenty of live music on the weekends. The drinks are cheap and the kitchen works fast. I went with the fried chicken sandwich with chips and a pickle. The chicken was lightly breaded, juicy and full of flavor. I enjoyed every bite. If you're in the cleveland area and looking for a dive bar vibe then I would suggest checking this place out. I always look forward to coming back.

Yelp
I have been coming to the Parkview for over 20-years...not sure how I got that old! It's just the kind of place that just keeps getting better, the bands, the service, the bar and the food...brunch lunch and dinner! I love Sunday Brunch at Parkview, bloody Mary's and eggs Benedict are perfect everyone...seriously could eat it everyday. Did I mention the food! Their appetizers and soups are fresh, scratch made and delicious. Try the asparagus, it's worth it. Bands are great, local art that have been around for decades because they are just that good. Oh and if you like pinball this is your place.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this classic dive bar from the laid back and chill atmosphere. Whether you come for late night drinks with a group of friends or for dinner and after work drinks. The hot chicken is SOOO delicious and has that spicy kick to it! They have a patio outside you can sit on as well, it is for smoking but you can still chill out there if you'd like that's what we did!
google avatar

Yelp
Had the Nashville hot chicken platter. This is not for everyone. Fortunately the bartenderess warns you the chicken is HOT... seven or eight out of 10. I like hot season food so no problem. It was the hottest chicken I ever had but also delicious. I would get this again in a heartbeat. Again, I would not recommend if you're not into hot season food although she said you could get it toned down a little to a five or six. The reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five I thought you should get fries when you order a platter but you have to pay extra. My wife got the grilled portobello sandwich which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Daniel H.

Yelp
Great food and excellent service. The deep fried asparagus and smoked salmon BLT never disappoints. A terrific and historic venue.
google avatar

Jenna S.

Yelp
Beers were cold, service friendly and service quick. Would rank a 7.5/10 on the dive bar scale

Sarah M.

Yelp
I love the Parkview and if it were a little quieter I would give it 5 stars. Their fried cheese appetizer is always great and I've never had a bad meal. The asparagus is good also. They have an outside patio where I prefer to sit in warm weather. Give Parkview a try; I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yelp
Have been here twice now and both visits were quite good! On this visit, my wife and I split two dishes...and appetizer and main meal. The fried asparagus appetizer was lightly breaded and the stalks still quite crunchy and fresh; it was served with a spicy remoulade dipping sauce that complimented the fried veggies perfectly giving them a zip along with the snap as you bit into them. The winner dinner (fried chicken) was super crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The dish comes with three pieces of dark meat which was plenty for sharing. The chunky fries were outstanding, fried to a delicious crispness and lightly seasoned. The mac-n-cheese side had a slightly odd taste to it, which was certainly the choice of cheese it was served with. On my last visit I tried both the salmon BLT and Cuban sandwiches and both were rock solid. Can't wait to give this place multiple tries, once we are in our new house in the surrounding neighborhood!

Yelp
This is a great old school bar the decor is all old vintage stuff food is very good The staff attentive and friendly can't wait to go back

Tyra S.

Yelp
A few friends and I were patrons of this bar last night. The bartender, Jason, would not make drinks for any of the Black customers and he repeatedly proclaimed it was because he was a racist. This should not be the face of your establishment. I, nor will any of my other friends, will not visit this bar ever again. I hope this bartender is not a representation of this establishment as a whole and the correct actions are taken to make sure this experience does not happen to anyone else. It is 2023. Let's get real.

Xo T.

Yelp
the woman working the bar at the time was extremely rude and seems angry at the world. it's a shame she's a pretty girl with such a nasty attitude. not sure if it's because my skin is more tanned than hers or if she's like this way with everyone. she told me to go sit in the back of the restaurant (weird) if i didn't want to sit at the bar, which i did but then nobody served me. so i came back to the bar only to be ignored by her again for several minutes. no menu no water. then she aggressively said she was busy and i replied that's fine i'm not trying to make you upset...i literally just wanted at least a menu. it's sad really because the food looked great but i didn't eat here because of the poor service. i live in the townhomes across from here it would have been nice to have this as a spot i could frequent. oh well...

Yelp
Great hidden gem in the Edgewater neighborhood. Definitely recommend the honey chipotle pork tacos- one of the best bar tacos I have ever had

Yelp
One of the best bars in Cleveland! Great staff, absolutely delicious food, and I'm not even talking for "bar" food, just delicious, high quality, well made and thought out dishes. The smoked salmon is perfect. Also a great vibe in here, relaxed, with a solid clientele. Love it!
google avatar

Yelp
Okay so Lindsay is amazing!!! Everything about this bar is what Cleveland is about! Coming from Chicago it's for sure a culture change but this bar makes everything feel like I'm right at home. (And cheaper) the regulars are welcoming and inviting and if I ever had a second guess about this city... this bar makes me realize how homey a place could be. If you're in town please stop here. You won't regret it.

Yelp
I lived in Cleveland for four years for college. Came back for wedding and brought my boyfriend with me. He's never had pierogies before and I wanted to introduce them to him. Stopped by this hidden place because they were one of the few places opened that served pierogies. Unfortunately, with their limited menu, they did not have pierogies available. However, my boyfriend is a HUGE fan of fried chicken so it worked out. I ordered the Hot Chicken Sandwich and my boyfriend got the Hot Chicken platter. The chicken was delicious and came out perfectly moist. The waiter did inform us beforehand that the hot chicken was hot. My boyfriend and I can tolerate spicy foods fairly well, so it was at a perfect spice level for us. However, I'd recommend that people who do not tolerate spice well to skip the hot chicken. I took off one star due how long it took for the food to arrive. It took quite some time (somewhere between 20-30 minutes) before we were served despite the fact that the dining room was completely empty minus two people at the bar.

Yelp
Rude. So rude. Bartender was upset we ordered food at 9:25pm. And yelled at us for ordering a second round of drinks. Our server was non existent until we finally said something. Horrible server from bartender with Tony tail. So mean and aggressive. Never coming back. He honestly was so mean. Thanks

Yelp
Gather round people, I've got a story to tell. First part: Hole-in-the-Wall Food. Second part: I'm Being Haunted by My Online Dates. Part 1. Parkview is a definitely hole-in-the-wall place with an outside that seems like it might be a bit sketchy and a dated inside full of locals singing Mariah Carey Christmas songs. BUT do not let this deter you! As long as you're not stuck up Parkview will greet you with character and a little dusty charm. We had our monthly supper club here the other night and our server, Debbie, did an excellent job of taking care of a group of ten. She kept my water filled, answered any questions I had, and no issue with the many checks. The food here comes from a partnership between Parkview favorites and creations from the owner/chef, Joe, of the now closed Chow Chow in Lakewood. I started off with sharing an order of the deep fried piergoies $7 accompanied by burnt onion dip. You get three large potato pierogies that are very tasty. Next up several of us ordered the fried chicken with mac & cheese and a side of coleslaw instead of french fries. I had the original from Chow Chow, and while this version was okay, it was not as good. They are no longer able to get affordable meaty chicken breasts so they now go with one thigh and two legs (I prefer white meat so this was a little disappointing). Batter is still hearty with a good crunch. The mac & cheese is different, not as smooth, more of a gritty texture (roux issue, heat issue, type of cheese issue, or done on purpose, no idea). Overall though for $11 it was a decent meal that won't break the bank. Those who ordered this had plenty of leftovers to take home. I also ordered the corn succotash with polenta cake $11 to-go and I am so glad I did! Like the pierogies this dish was just like the original and still just as satisfying. I can't wait to go home and eat it for dinner tonight! It's a heavy meal but they give you assorted pickled veggies which helps cut the fat. As for other items on the menu I would definitely come back to try the French dip $9 (always in search of the best one) and the friend goat cheese salad $9. I might stay away from the pulled pork dinner $11.50 though because it came out with the fries swimming in the pork juice which left them soggy. There was also some sadness over the fried cheese curds from Chow Chow not being on this new menu (bring back that smoked banana corn ice cream sandwich!). Overall I had a nice time in a chill environment surrounded by friends and I would come back for certain menu items. Plus Joe is a nice friendly guy so I have no problem supporting this local business. Part 2. Roughly 3 years ago I went on a date with this guy who called himself Jeff the Butcher (he liked fondling raw meat, jk). He's an attractive guy and in all honestly the date was good: some SideQuest trivia, a kiss, and plans to meet again. It was his negative drunken follow up call a couple days later that killed things. Don't randomly complain about friends/family and excessively curse at someone you just met. Fast forward like a year and half later when I'm having a feisty Sunday with a friend at Banter and it turns out he is the cook there. Read that review for details. Present day Cleveland Supper Club is at Parkview. I notice this guy in the kitchen keeps looking at our table. I'm looking back wondering if this guy is familiar and who the heck is he? It's JEFF THE FREAKING BUTCHER. The kicker here is that the prior week Butcher man is showing Joe my yelp reviews. Moral of this story is that I eat out too much and I'm gonna die alone. On the bright side I live a fun successful life so sugar mama status is not far away. Soon I'll be able to afford Raúl the handsome "handyman" so don't feel bad for me.

Yelp
Came here for the yelp supper club with a group of yelpers. The service was fantastic, never had an empty glass and she was so attentive. Parkview has partnered with Chow Chow on the menu so a lot of fried chicken and other indulgent dishes. I didn't get a chance to try Chow Chow when they were in Lakewood so I can't compare old menu to new. I am not a fan of fried chicken because mainly it is all dark meat and I prefer white boneless meat. I'm happy I decided to try something other than fried chicken because everyone else got some and it was all dark meat. I tried the pulled pork. The pulled pork fell really flat for me. It didn't have much flavor and the pulled pork was piled on my plate with a bunch of pork juice. I had fries and all my fries were soggy from the juice. I did try the fried chicken (hot) some Mac and cheese and coleslaw and everything was great. The ambiance of the venue was a type of dive place I like. It had character and history. Warm rich tones in the wood and decorated so nothing was bare. The place has ample seating and the bar is quite large as well. Bar games such as bar bowling were available as well. Definitely excited to check out this place again and try something new.

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot! Went in to watch a football game. Tried the fried Mozzarella and pierogis to start and the hot chicken. The hot chicken is really spicy but amazing. Like 8.5/10 spice level. You will like it if you like hot wings but it's definitely more spicier than medium/mild. The apps were great too! And they have happy hour on Saturday which is magical.

Yelp
What a great neighborhood dive bar with some great food. Tucked a couple of blocks off of Detroit Road near Gordon Square, is the Parkview, an old school corner bar. Less decorated than lived in for decades, the bar is dark and welcoming. The menu is relatively straight forward, but there is some serious culinary skills in the kitchen. I ordered the Walleye Sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich came with two nice pieces of Walleye, perfectly fried with a light batter. The fish was moist and flaky, with a nice mild flavor. The batter is wonderful, thin but crisp. The biggest issue was keeping the sandwich together since there was too much fish for the bun. The fries were also good, fresh and crisp outside with just enough potato flavor. The Parkview is well worth a visit any time you are looking for some good standard food.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for Supper Club with a great group of Yelpers and had a laid-back evening. Although Parkview typically doesn't allow split checks, our server Debbie was very accommodating because our party had called ahead to make arrangements for our group. She did a great job of making sure our needs were met throughout the night. I started with a Blue Moon ($4 during Happy Hour) and shared the chipotle pork tacos with my +1. They had great flavor but were a little too wet for my liking, as the sauce on the meat leaked out of the taco with every bite. I think they were $7.50 for two average-to-small sized tacos. I also had a bite of the fries pierogi appetizer, which was crisp and tasty with its onion dipping sauce. I ordered the Winner Dinner for my main and holy cow was this thing huge! For $11, you get mac and cheese, french fries (I subbed coleslaw for the fries), and three pieces of dark meat chicken (two legs and a thigh). The mac and cheese was on the grainier side, but I ain't mad at it: it was super tasty and hard to not keep eating. The coleslaw had a nice spicy kick that I really liked. The chicken had a hot, super-crunchy outside with a tender, juicy inside. I don't mind dark meat, though I know a couple of my dinner companions prefer white (you can sub a boneless breast for an upcharge). I enjoyed my indulgent meal and was stuffed after having about half the mac and coleslaw and half the chicken thigh (you know I finished the thigh). I had the leftovers for dinner the next day and they didn't disappoint: some of the breading on the legs was still crispy even after sitting in the fridge overnight. Parkview is a great little dive with lots of menu options, good beer deals, a low-key atmosphere, and plenty of room to find a place to relax. I could definitely see myself coming back when in the mood for some delicious bar food!

Yelp
Quiet on a Labor Day Saturday for lunch which allowed us to visit with friends. Parkview has a history of a blue collar hangout during the busy industrial days of the '30-40s. The "dive" has be featured on Guy Fieri's "Triple D." The venue is a throw-back with bands on the weekends. The special was chicken paprikash--delicious bites of chicken in a roux on noodles with a nice paprika flavor. The succotash dish on the menu was very tasty and full of veggies, the primary one being corn. The salmon club was very good. All great choices. The reason we went here was for the fried asparagus. Never had it anywhere else, so this is our go-to place when we get the craves.

Yelp
sad face. sad face. Please don't hate me as I am obviously not in the majority with my low review here but I like to keep it real and respectful at the same time. I didn't love my trip here. Its not in a great location and is very deceiving as the name is "nite club" which doesn't really represent the place inside. These days when you hear night club you imagine some crazy dancing, loud music maybe even a DJ, and neon lights or something lol The location is pretty dark and not very visually appealing. It is a lot of stuff shoved into the small location and not in a focused way, more cluttered. The bathrooms need some love both in cleaning and updating, I didn't like going in there. Our server did a great job handling our mid sized group making sure to check in with us, let us know the timing of food, and filling our waters as needed. I love a good friend chicken. I wish they would have told us before receiving our meat that it was all dark meat unless specified. We all at the table would have gladly paid the up charge to receive the white meat breasts but we didn't know that was an option. I didn't end up really eating mine, I gave it to someone at home. The mac and cheese was a bit gritty and I prefer a creamy mac. I did like the slaw though!! that was great!! I probably wont be back, but my friends loved it so maybe its just not my cup of tea.
google avatar

Richard R.

Yelp
Been going here for years. My only complaint is they need to pour the drinks a little stronger. Other than that, great "dive bar" atmosphere with great food. The only restaurant I go to where I almost always order the fish. Walleye dinner or sandwich is the best in Cleveland.
google avatar

Pauline L.

Yelp
I have been going to the parkview for over 20 years and it just keeps getting better! Love the old school bowling machine, and craft beers as well as pabst! The vegetarian succatash lures me in everytime while my better half enjoys the fish fry or strip steak!!! Yum!!! Countdowns to reggae brunch and dingus day for the regulars and friendly barstaff for the newbies moving in downtown....LOVE LOVE LOVE this place...oh yea you can catch live music on some nights!
google avatar

Michele B.

Yelp
Parkview Nite Club provides everything you're looking for in a local 'hole in the wall'. Dimly lit ambiance is super casual, red-checked vinyl tablecloths, a nice long bar in front of awesome bartenders, an array of live music (lots of blues) and great food. This past visit I had the Italian sandwich with fries. Everyone at my table was happy with their food- especially the burgers. This place really is a Cleveland institution and has transcended through generations to deliver a great experience. When my uncle saw my check in, he asked if they still had a fried baloney sandwich on the menu! There's lots of beer to choose from... but I always choose the Polish one who's name I can never remember! Don't worry- your server will know what you're looking for and make sure you have a nice cold beer in your hand to complete your Parkview Experience.

Yelp
We went here for brunch one day and was pleasantly surprised by the awesome food choices. I had expected the typical bar food but this place exceeded my expectations. I ordered the catfish Po Boy with fries. and my boyfriend ordered the smoked salmon hash which came with a salad. I loved the breading on the catfish and you could tell that it was very fresh. My boyfriend liked his smoked salmon as well but I thought it was a bit too salty for my preference. The drinks were reasonably priced and they had a good selection of seasonal beers on draft. I love the relaxed environment of this place and plan on coming back to try their other brunch specials.
google avatar

Alycia A.

Yelp
Guy fieri recommended this place and I scratch my head. Don't order the fried asparagus, it should be removed from the menu. Asparagus was stringy, hard and way undercooked. When the server took our plate away I was shocked but not really surprised that she didn't mention the pile of inedible asparagus left on it. They charge $3 extra to substitute fries instead of potato chips with a sandwich or burger. The fries were cold and some so over fried they were hard to bite into. Asked for burger with a little pink and it was like steak tartare. Also the fries had a fishy taste... guess they are fried in the same grease as I don't know.... the fish? Found to be extremely underwhelming and won't trust guy's reviews this blindly again

Yelp
Best hidden gem in Cleveland! Great atmosphere, food and cheap drinks! Highly recommend trying it out.
google avatar

Meagan S.

Yelp
Seriously the worst wait staff ever. Serve brunch until 2:45 in Sunday and won't let you order from The regular menu until 3. Then at 3:05 we are told our new waitress isn't there and we have to wait another 20 minutes because the lunch cooks area T there yet. Asked for a manager and he acted so annoyed we were like wtf on the to miring after waiting an hour to order from the lunch menu. Used to love this plan but the last couple times we came here, it's the same shitty ass service.

Alessandro S.

Yelp
Cool place for shady people... a personal favorite of mine. Great people watching and food is always solid

Tim H.

Yelp
One of my all time favorite Cleveland bars! Always a go to stop while I'm in the Gordon square district!

Yelp
Delicious, great old school local bar and restaurant. Inside is very simple. The food is great and at an amazing price. I had a steak salad and my boyfriend had the hot chicken. Salad was a great portion with great flavor, and the steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The hot chicken was perfectly hot and it has us dreaming to come back as soon as possible. Staff was super friendly, and there was plenty of parking. Highly recommend.

Yelp
One of those places the "locals" frequent. Was in Cleveland visiting and had a party of around 12 people. This place is great. Just a fun old time bar with great food. Sorry we didn't get food pictures - one friend had the fish sandwich huge.
google avatar

Francis O.

Yelp
I love this place. The food is delicious. The patrons are eclectic and fun The bartenders and service folks are top notch. Whether you're a Clevelander or just passing though The Parkview should be written in Sharpie on that foodie bucket list.... don't miss that delicious fried chicken and the inventive/creative daily specials.

Yelp
Do you ever wish you could just find a bar that when you walk in you instantly have a smile because you know this is a local placed filled with proud clevelanders? Parkview is that place. It was on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" and the food just keeps getting better. Now this is your perfect Cleveland dive. It's in the middle of a run down area of Cleveland (even though recent apartment buildings were just built near by so get in while you can before it becomes the hottest joint). You first drive down this run down street where you get a little nervous, especially when your dad is taking you and you just think he took a wrong turn. But now I see it as the whole experience. It truly feels like the Cleveland the rest of the world pictures us. Then you walk in to the restaurant and it's a darker venue with wooden tables, bar, and booths. It has some great games in the back corner and a music box of you feel like you can choose the right song for the whole restaurant. The servers have been there since day one and even though they don't know our names, we go there enough we talk to them like an old friend. The food is bar food but all Cleveland focused. Pirogies, walleye, sausage, and more. It's all good but nothing beats their fish and chips. If you want the true Cleveland experience, go to Parkview, and also be sure to try their Sunday brunches! Can't say enough about the wonderful Parkview that represents Cleveland so well!

Yelp
So I finally made it out here last week for the 1st time and we've already come back a 2nd time! Located in a neighborhood area. A small parking lot across the street made parking easy. Basically your typical old school cle bar. Nice size w/long bar & plenty of seating. Staff is friendly. Food so far is good! The breaded cheese app is among the best around, the red pasta sauce with it is good, thin, but good, & breading is good. Ive had the black & blue steak salad twice now and it's very good. The hot fried chicken platter is the bomb! No joke. If you like spicy and you like fried chicken, this IS the best of both worlds right here in this old corner bar!!!! We had 2 other places we deemed the best fried chicken before we came here, we now have a new winner winner chicken dinner!!!! No joke. And I think it's a side of blue cheese it cones with to dip it in and it's the perfect compliment to the chicken. My son got the hot chicken sandwich, but honestly, we all agreed the platter was the way to go, sandwich seemed a tad dry. Oh, and we got a side of ranch at one point, but it's not your typical ranch, had a more dill taste to it. Again, not bad, just different. We live about 40 minutes from here but I see making the trek out here more often now!

Yelp
The urinals were quite high in the bathroom but overall, great service!!! Very happy with the elegant atmosphere and that waitresses pushing nice and heavy drinks on me. The toilet seat didn't have pee on it either!!

Yelp
This is a dive bar with pretty bomb fried chicken. My friends warned me the chicken was hot, but holy moly this was some of hottest chicken I've ever had. That said, it was delicious and I was VERY grateful for the side of white bread that I initially scoffed at. I had bites of my friend's dishes and everything was very tasty. Prices were SO cheap. Service was little slow, but I was catching up with friends, so I didn't mind. If you're a fried chicken connoisseur I definitely recommend this place, but be prepared for the spice!

Yelp
Ive been coming here for longer than I can remember. Still some of the great bartenders from way back but what happened to the crowd? It used to be working class people. Now its overrun with millennials and yuppie-types. The neighborhood is saturated with $400,000 carbon-copied row houses. I guess its good for Norm and the gang but it scares away people who don't have an Optomtrist father who pays my rent. I guess I will come earlier in the day and get some of the great daily specials and Happy Hour Dortmunders....
