King’s Road Restaurants in Chelsea, London | Eater London

"Ice Cream Union’s small but efficient Chelsea parlour—more of a hatch, really—is just off the Sloane Square end of the Kings Road. There are no bells or whistles: just a thoughtful, exciting selection of ice creams and sorbets, ranging from Breton caramel and banana split to cornflake, spiced Delica pumpkin and vegan chilli chocolate. There’s no seating, but plenty of space to eat while standing, with 0.5- and 1-litre tubs available for takeaway or delivery." - Emma Hughes

I used to walk past this place but never stopped to try the ice cream. It’s always busy, and the unusual flavours never really tempted me enough to go in. Recently, some friends convinced me to give it a try—and I have to say, it’s one of the best ice creams I’ve had in London. It’s definitely expensive, but worth trying at least once for the unique flavours they offer. I’d go back to try more, but with moderation—it’s not exactly affordable. In my view, ice cream should be a refreshing treat, not a luxury item, but considering it’s on Pavilion Road, I get it.

I highly recommend Ice Cream Union. Since they opened here, this has been our go-to ice cream spot. Honestly, I can’t recommend loads of flavours because we usually stick to our favourites or the rare seasonal ones. If I had to pick, I’d say the milk flavour—here they call it Latte—and sometimes Watermelon. Recently, Matcha and Latte are great choices too. They don’t advertise it, but they also have children’s sizes for the little ones. We’ve tried all the Italian A-brand and V-brand gelatos around Chelsea, but Union’s ice cream isn’t too sweet and has a nice organic feel. There’s a school nearby, so avoid going around 4 pm when the kids finish and it gets busy. Finally, I’d recommend having it in a cup rather than a cone, as cones can spoil the rich taste of the ice cream.

Favorite ice cream spot in Chelsea. Creamy, rich flavors. They’ve got loads of unique options and the staff are really friendly and happy to let you try samples. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality. Great spot to grab a cone and wander down Pavilion Road.

Bought a small cup of banana split ice cream: absolutely delicious! I'd already eaten a lot of my portion before taking the attached photo. Staff member was very helpful & pleasant, thank you: lady with Spanish accent & glasses. Recently returned for the same flavour but banana spilt not available so bought the raspberry ripple.

Stumbled upon this shop due to the very long queue. Flavours are rich and did not disappoint. We got the rum & raisin, raspberry ripple, cheesecake honey berry and blood peach. Rum & raisin and raspberry ripple really stood out among the others - will be our go to if we come back again. Blood peach and cheesecake honeyberry is just average, nothing special about it. Worth to mention the regular size and small size use the same size cone, but scoop size differ. Each cone/cup comes with two different flavours of your choice. Price is on the pricer side - £7 for regular and £5.50 for small.

nice, humble, and sophisticated ice cream shop in a beautiful part of London. absolutely worth a try, i really liked the Apple-store vibe inside with all the ice creams organised in the middle, tucked away safely and comfortably. i love the variety of flavours and that they have specials. the staff were helpful and professional. i got a small cup of their dulce de leche and pistachio. the dulce de leche was incredible, it was exactly what I wanted from that deep caramel goodness. highly recommend! then the pistachio was alright, but i was wishing for a nuttier and saltier flavour. would not get that specific one again, it was tasty but bland. i hope i can come back soon and try new flavours! :)

Very good and creamy ice cream. The cone is a light crunchy wafer, so delicious 😍 def to come back again and try more flavours. Tiramisu didn’t have much coffee flavour for my taste, but still very good with biscuits inside. Highly recommended 🍦
