Paros Travel Guide - Extra Pack of Peanuts

"A smaller, resort-style hotel that feels more like a casual resort than an upscale boutique; it is more affordable and practical for budget-conscious travelers, though not considered as nice as the higher-end option." - Trav

Overall, we had a nice stay at the Paros Bay hotel however there was definitely room for improvement. The hotel itself is located about 10 minutes by car outside of the town centre. With taxis costing around €30 one-way, it wasn’t viable to keep using them during our stay. Luckily there is a bus at the top of the road which runs every hour and is €2.50 one way. Hiring a car is definitely recommended. The hotel grounds are nice and there is a small beach in front of the hotel. There is another beach a 5 minute walk away as well. Sun loungers on these beaches are €70. The room we stayed in was rather small and the bathroom was even smaller. Our shower door leaked water over the floor and on one occasion, we were given a clean towel that had orange stains all over it. The swimming pool area is a lovely space and gets the sun for the majority of the day. However, it was frustrating that for such a large area, there were less than 20 sun loungers. For the amount of people staying at the hotel, there were not enough beds. When you think that a family might take four beds, then you can see that for a hotel with over 60 rooms, 20 sun loungers is far too little. They should remove some of the bar tables and taverna chairs and replace with more sun loungers. Breakfast wasn’t great. Very basic selection and low quality food set in a small restaurant room. We went in high season and it was a bit of a free for all when trying to navigate around the food and coffee area. The staff were lovely and helpful. We hired a car through the front desk which was handy. The hotel offers same day laundry service for a fee of €15 which we tried to use however come the following day, our items were still unwashed so we asked for our items back. We probably wouldn’t stay at this hotel again if we were to return to Paros.

Really loved our stay here. Awesome views of the harbor. Peaceful setting. Recommend a sea view room as it is nice to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Breakfast was very good. Dinners at the restaurant were delicious and fairly priced. We had a car so this didn’t affect us, but It is a bit out of town, so plan on the bus, taxi or car to get there. It is possible to walk but a little far and not always a sidewalk.

A great place to be ! Crazy view out there on the bay, especially at sunset. The hotel is well-arranged, full of amenities and very peaceful. The room was clean, modern and welcoming. The pool is a real plus and the restaurant next to it is recommended. You’ll need a car or scooter as it is a bit too far from downtown to be reached by walk.

Paros Bay Hotel is in an excellent location. However, the property itself needs a lot of attention, maintenance, and a good cleaning. The showers in our rooms looked quite dirty, with brown spots all over the lower part and a flimsy shower curtain with a strange design on it. The bathroom cleanliness overall was not great. The “workout area” needs a huge update, more equipment, new equipment, and a good cleaning. The yoga mats and dumbbells were covered in a layer of dust and machines in various states of disrepair. The elliptical makes a strange clicking sound and is a few uses away from injuring someone. Overgrown vegetation, dirt patches, and unsecured rocks near the pool. The bed sheets need a total renewal as they are paper thin and they do not provide any duvet cover. It is a shame because the location of the hotel is excellent, but the whole place needs a lot of attention and a total refresh. The staff were pleasant.

Beautiful hotel in a great spot on the island. Staff was very professional, we had an issue with our first room and they immediately took care of the situation. Based on old reviews, I believe the hotel has been remodeled or under different management now. It was a lovely 4 days. My only complaint, which is common at all these resorts…not enough loungers by the pool. I didn’t realize until later all the tables and chairs are for the night buffet.

We stayed at Paros Bay Hotel for a week and overall had a lovely time. The room was beautiful with amazing sea views, and the pool and hotel were kept to a really high standard throughout our stay.||When we first arrived, after a long day of travelling, the welcome at reception was a little off-putting, as we were asked why we would spend a full week in Paros, which wasn’t the most relaxing start. Luckily, we had plenty to explore during our seven days and had the best time out on our adventures.||The food and drink prices at the hotel were quite high, and I would advise booking taxis independently as the hotel adds a 10 EUR surcharge per journey. That said, organising car and ATV hire through the hotel was very helpful and extremely smooth, with vehicles delivered directly to the hotel.||There were a few small service frustrations. We asked one evening for a bottle of wine to be brought to our room to enjoy on the balcony and were told no, which felt a bit disappointing for a 4-star hotel, especially given how much we spent over the course of the week. The pool bar also seemed to close very early every evening, around 5pm, even though the sun and beautiful sunset were still there to enjoy. Oddly, on our final night, the bar and restaurant remained open late, which we would have loved earlier in the week.||We really enjoyed our stay overall, but at times the service lacked the warmth and ease you hope for. On a few occasions I even felt a little awkward simply ordering a drink, as if it was an inconvenience. With a few small improvements, the hotel could feel much more in line with the 4-star experience it’s aiming to deliver.

Paros Bay was probably our least favorite hotel of the 5 that we stayed at during our trip. The rooms were a bit smaller than we were expecting, but they were clean and overall nice. We were disappointed in the staff interactions, often needing to find servers at the restaurant/bar. When ordering wine for our hotel room, the staff did not seem knowledgable on the wines that they offered and seemed flustered when we requested the bottle be opened, since there was no opener in our room. If we return to Paros, we will definitely check out another location to stay. I believe the price was steep for the experience provided.

The hotel was fine...staff at the reception ..were extremely sweet and helpful. The restaurant is basic...but breakfast is good... Carry lots of water. Rooms are good...nothing fancy...but fine. There is a bus stand 500m away...which is convenient. |Try to get a local taxi persons number...the hotel taxis are expensive .
