Paros Travel Guide - Extra Pack of Peanuts

"We stayed at a smaller hotel that’s run more like a resort; Paros Bay Hotel wasn’t as nice as Hotel Senia but it’s a bit more affordable." - Trav

We stayed at Paros Bay Hotel for four nights in late September as our first stop on a month-long Greek trip. This is a top-class, quiet and small-ish resort on a beautiful setting overlooking the bay. Rooms are a bit small but otherwise very clean and comfortable; the grounds and pool area more than make up for space. There's a very good restaurant with a well-stocked buffet breakfast. You can also get food and beverages at the pool area. The dinner menu is varied Greek fare and excellent. What stands out is the staff; friendly and attentive. If you tire of the hotel menu, there's a great beach restaurant (Magaya) just down the hill (5 min walk) from the hotel. |The hotel is a little less than 3 km (30 minute walk along a busy main road) from the ferry port so you might opt to rent a small car or ATV to get around the island. The trade-off: do you prefer to be in town with the crowds and the noise or at a nice quiet oasis to relax?

We loved this hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff were very nice. One great plus was the restaurant in the hotel. Even though it wasn’t in the center of town the restaurant made up for it. The location was perfect for us. It is a bit of a walk into town, and is not the most accessible if you are not comfortable walking on the road but there is a bus station nearby. You gain an incredible beach access and view. There is also a wonderful hike spot next to it for amazing sunsets. It’s a beautiful place to relax, and enjoy Parikia which is nearby. Cannot wait to someday come back.

Lovely small hotel above a small beach. We had a seaview room & the views are worth the extra.|Great breakfast & staff. The only negative is that the 20min walk is down a busy road. A bus runs from the top of the hill & is a cheaper option than a 35euro taxi!!

While the restaurant and pool staff were welcoming and helpful, the front dest staff was the complete opposite. They were rude, indifferent, unhelpful, uninformative, and argumentative. Someone suggested it was because it was towards the end of their busy season, but if this is a professional hotel, this should not matter. We were not informed until the end of our second day that the tap water should not be drunk, and when we mentioned this to the front staff they were indignant and defensive. The breakfast was quite good, as was the dinner offerings although very pricey (consider the convenience). A better option for dinner is to walk up the road a short distance to the Mayagaba restaurant with its fabulous Thai chef (open only seasonally). As others have noted, the pool water was freezing, and there were not enough lounge chairs nor umbrellas. Bathroom was tiny, and the room was quite plain with paper cups for the coffee. We paid for a Superior Sea View room which you could see if you walked out to the end of the tiny balcony but not from the room itself as was advertised. Wouldn't stay here again - consider other accommodations.

Beautiful hotel with stunning water & mountain views. The hotel is very well maintained, staff are kind, rooms are comfortable and the pool is beautiful. We arrived to the hotel before check in & were able to leave our luggage in the lobby while we waited for our room to be ready. When we checked out, I had forgot a sweater in the room & emailed the hotel as soon as I realized. They responded within the hour & held onto it for me to pick up the following day. I would definitely stay here again!

The resort offers a truly beautiful sea view, with a serene pool that makes for perfect relaxation. The overall atmosphere reflects understated quality, complemented by attentive pool staff and the added charm of a small bay beach just beside the property ideal if you wish to alternate between the pool and the sea. A car or scooter is essential for getting around, but the convenience is well worth it. Breakfast is decent, and overall, the resort delivers excellent value for the price. I would be delighted to return.

Overall, we had a nice stay at the Paros Bay hotel however there was definitely room for improvement.||The hotel itself is located about 10 minutes by car outside of the town centre. With taxis costing around €30 one-way, it wasn’t viable to keep using them during our stay. Luckily there is a bus at the top of the road which runs every hour and is €2.50 one way. Hiring a car is definitely recommended.||The hotel grounds are nice and there is a small beach in front of the hotel. There is another beach a 5 minute walk away as well. Sun loungers on these beaches are €70. The room we stayed in was rather small and the bathroom was even smaller. Our shower door leaked water over the floor and on one occasion, we were given a clean towel that had orange stains all over it.||The swimming pool area is a lovely space and gets the sun for the majority of the day. However, it was frustrating that for such a large area, there were less than 20 sun loungers. For the amount of people staying at the hotel, there were not enough beds. When you think that a family might take four beds, then you can see that for a hotel with over 60 rooms, 20 sun loungers is far too little. They should remove some of the bar tables and taverna chairs and replace with more sun loungers.||Breakfast wasn’t great. Very basic selection and low quality food set in a small restaurant room. We went in high season and it was a bit of a free for all when trying to navigate around the food and coffee area.||The staff were lovely and helpful. We hired a car through the front desk which was handy. The hotel offers same day laundry service for a fee of €15 which we tried to use however come the following day, our items were still unwashed so we asked for our items back.||We probably wouldn’t stay at this hotel again if we were to return to Paros.

A great place to be ! Crazy view out there on the bay, especially at sunset. The hotel is well-arranged, full of amenities and very peaceful. The room was clean, modern and welcoming. The pool is a real plus and the restaurant next to it is recommended. You’ll need a car or scooter as it is a bit too far from downtown to be reached by walk.
