Parotte Ville Bird Park

Parotte Ville in Sint Maarten is honestly one of my favourite spots on the island. It opens daily at 9:30am, and if you go on a day with few cruise ships, it’s quiet and never too busy — perfect if you actually want to enjoy the birds instead of crowds. The staff is incredibly friendly and genuinely knowledgeable. You can tell they care about the animals and love sharing info about all the different species. And there are a lot — hundreds of birds, all kinds of colours and personalities. You get to feed them, interact with them, and just hang out while they fly around you. The grounds are spotless and really well cared for, which makes the whole place feel peaceful and inviting. I visit twice a year whenever I’m in SXM, and it’s consistently a great experience. Highly recommend it if you want something fun, relaxing, and unique to do on the island.

Great experience. In the middle of nowhere parking is a little challenging but definitely a do once for the experience. Cash only. $15 adult $7 kid. You will get up close and personal with the birds. Even at the end of the day they were still going for the seed so I can only imagine if you went at opening.

Our trip to Saint Maarten was amazing and this place will live in my memories forever. I RECOMMEND everyone stop here at least once. We grabbed a taxi first thing off the ship and beat the crowds. We got there a few minutes before they opened and had the place to ourselves for a good half hour. Hundreds of beautiful birds and parrots. Everyone had 3 to 5 birds on them as soon as we walked in. An AMAZING experience to see my 8 year old with a bird on his head, 2 on shoulders and two more on his arms. Devon and Ronald were AWESOME, taking great care of the birds and answering all of our questions. DO NOT hesitate folks, there is plenty of time to go to the beach afterwards and you can easily get a cab ride wherever you want. Our cab driver JOYCE dropped us off and picked up right from their door and then recommended a GREAT beach on the French side a short drive away with excellent local food as well

I am glad I found this on Google Maps! It was a nice stop. It is cash only, $15 for adults and $7 for kids. You get a full cup of bird seed per person which lasted at least an hour for us. The birds are not shy! The facility has restrooms and a snack shop. Everything was clean and did not smell like animals. Definitely worth a stop.

Not only was it wonderful to see all of these parrots but the staff were amazing. I had a flat tire on the way to the park and made it almost there before being fully flat. One of the staff members helped me put on the spare and another one called the car rental agent to get them to come and take a look at it. While I waited, I got to enjoy the lovely parrots.

If you're looking for something a little different while visiting St. Martin, Parotte Ville is a hidden gem. It’s a small, peaceful bird sanctuary where you can hang out with colorful parrots, macaws, and other tropical birds that aren’t shy about landing on your shoulder—or your head! You get a cup of birdseed when you arrive, and the birds come right over to say hi. It’s super interactive and great for kids or anyone who loves animals. The staff are really friendly and happy to share fun facts about the birds and the plants around the sanctuary. It’s not a huge place, but it’s a relaxing break from the beach and shopping crowds.

This little place is a gem. It is always so amazing to see these beautiful birds up close. The admission is reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. This is one of our go to places every time we visit St Maarten. Well kept and clean. All the birds seem very happy living there. Just a fun feel good place and a must go.

The staff are so kind and helpful, Achille and George were very welcoming. There are so many different types of parrots and parakeets, there's also doves and finches casually in the trees perching, or walking on the ground. If you're skittish, be mindful as the birds are free to fly around and they will perch on you, I had two on my head at one point, and they'll attempt to groom you too. A must experience place for nature enthusiasts and birders, I will definitely be back!
