Right. We finally arrived here towing our large (8m twin axle) caravan. Firstly the staff, amazing. So helpful and friendly. The site is very clean and well maintained. Very good pitches and facilities Inc bar and restaurant are excellent. So much to do in the area. Downside:::: getting there….. so difficult to find. We spent an hour driving around with mileage showing 19miles to destination.. definitely more signs are needed. I have never had to reverse my van so many times as finding this site.. was it worth it? Yes but, I did have a bit of anxiety about getting back down ..

Would recommend! Very close to the natural park and the campsite itself feels as if you are already in the national park. Clean toilets and okay showers. Unfortunately not cheap for 35 euros even in September (campervan and two adults). You would think there would be toilet paper on every toilet and that the shower temperature would be changeable for that price. Other than that, very good!

The campsite is situated in the mountains and while remote is very much worth the visit. Being well shaded was an advantage in the +30 degrees temperatures. The swimming pool helped keep us cool. The camp restaurant was of good quality too and we ate there both nights.|The owner gave us a guided tour of the Roman road and it was very interesting. His passion of the area, the national park, the local village and the potential for the area was very clear. He brought us to the local museum as well, very much worth a visit. |The village itself, Campo de Gerês, was a few minutes walk down the road and very interesting with narrow streets and houses open to the streets. Thank God we didn’t drive through it. |We loved our stay in the Parque.

Grear staff. Filipe biked us to the camping best location. Paulo from rowing was also friendly. Top clean toilets and showers. Well maintained park. There are energy points all around and floor is even. Great value for money

We camped in a tent. The location in Gerês was great for us. There is a hiking trail 100m from the camp. The restaurant was good, try the steak. We appreciated the small grocery store as it had camp fuel, ice, bread, fruit, vegetables, etc.. The pool was great but the extra fee was too much. There were plenty of camp sites and others we met were very nice. The bathrooms and showers were clean. We would stay here again.

Liked: Stayed 5nights camping. Liked the site as a whole, good pitch, very friendly staff from Reception, Bar/restaurant and the shop that sold the essentials and more. We ate in the Bar/Restaurant every evening of our stay and had good food and service on each occasion, though menu a bit limited. Showers and toilets looked fairly new and kept very clean. Good birdlife in the surrounding trees, with my wife being particularly keen on the Nightjars calling in the distance. Scenic walks and drives nearby. Disliked: We camped in May, the heating in the shower/toilet block was not on, so a bit cold.

A huge campsite. We arrived in rain so not sure about the area which is such a shame. Helpful staff. Has WiFi price 37€ with 20% discount for ACSI card.

Liked: Fully serviced pitch easy access etc. Shaded spot under trees. Friendly English speaking reception. Good wi-fi.10 amp supply. Rural location. Very clean toilets and showers. Small shop on site with bread available if ordered the previous day. Disliked: Plots on the small size. We landed on a bank holiday weekend (in Portugal) and initially found the site full of noisy kiss. Quiet site once they left.
