Don’t waste your time if you have a campervan you are not welcome. I don’t understand why they are listed in CC Camping Card. Only tents! the women at reception says. A lie? Please discard them from ACSI CC

I came with a tent and had to squeeze in a super crowded tent area. The street that leads to the beach is a hazard because you could get run over by a car at any time. No toilet seats, no toilet paper, no soap and it was loud even after 2:30 in the morning (no one cares about quiet times here). Only stayed one night and wouldn't recommend to stay longer

Cant judge the camping but my first impression was a rude lady at the reception telling me they are full after hearing that we are only staying for 1 night. I had a strong feeling that there would be a space if i asked for 1 week....

I went in this camping a couple of days in the middle of August. I was already aware about this place and its location because I read it in a guide and checked online, however driving and crossing different towns before arriving here there were many indications about camping places, and also this one was well indicated. This one is close to the beach, 5 min walking. ||I was with a tent, but there were availability also for camper and bungalow. I did not book in advance and I found a place, but the camping was almost full. ||The general idea is that this is a classic “sea camping” and it is more focused on long stay rather than one night only. In fact, room for tents is not so much compared to bungalows and campers: for tents, there is a kind of square in the middle where all tents can go, not really big (maybe can fit up to 30 tents), and some places along the avenues where it is also possible – and this is very good – park with the car right next to the tent. There is a reception at the entrance, and the gate close around 11:00 – 11:30 pm; after this time, the car must stay outside and you can only enter walking (there are parking places around and the area is quiet). ||The services available are: bar, restaurant, market (bread, meat, fish in the early morning, all for breakfast, for personal care, …), newspaper kiosk, recreation area for children, barbecue, and of course toilets and showers (with free hot water). ||||Comment:||This is a good camping for family with children and for those who want to relax; it is clean enough (for what camping toilets can be clean, of course) and I did not have any problem with insects (no ants or mosquitos), there is a lot of shadow, you can cook and there is some market also in the village, a couple of minutes by car. In this market you can also buy gas bottles Campingaz (and ONLY this brand). The beaches here around are good, mainly with sand. The camping is about 20 minutes far from the city of Porto. There is no need to have a camping card association to stay here.

Quiet, quite well equipped camping, but did not stole our hearts....First...beach exit was closed and i could not have my morning ocean check :)., water in the shower was warm for 15 minutes in the morning, then got cold. This campsite looks more like little village with high fence and is quite packed with permanent camping houses. We were more used to campings in northern Europe (e.g France) where you have a lot of space and little access limitations. Anything else was correct, good clean bathrooms, very nice service from the reception, bar, restaurant, water and current for the camper was easiliy accessible and nice.

We were cycle camping and in a tent. We were shown to the tenting area which was bare sand and absolutely FULL of cat droppings. Feral cats were wandering all over the site, malnourished and diseased looking, yowling at night and fighting. We told the staff we could not stay in the designated tent area, so they showed us to another spot used by car campers. On first glance it looked OK, so we set up. Only later after it was too late to leave and we had gone to bed did we realize the smell was overpowering. One cat even sprayed urine on our tent when we were away from it. Feral cats loitered around the shower building and the smell was very bad there too. This was also the area where tenters were expected to cook their food. It is incomprehensible how they could happily expect us to sleep on the ground surrounded by filth. Even after we pointed out the piles of cat droppings, it was met with a shrug.||Security was over the top and our key cards were declined after we had exited the site incorrectly. The access gate to the beach was locked at all times, so to visit the beach one had to exit the park and find another way.||It should be noted that cat droppings are a health hazard and pregnant women should avoid staying here due to the danger of contracting toxoplasmosis.

If you want a friendly little spot to camp for the night, I do no recommend this site. If you do not want your name, and photograph publicly displayed on tv screens every time you enter or leave, don't come here either. If you want to make an early start, avoid this place. The gate opens at 9am only, even for pedestrians.

Very basic pitches for tents, little to no shade. 14.50 a night for one small tent and one person and there wasn't even toilet paper in the restrooms.
