Parque de Santa Lucía

There’s often events going on at this park, like traditional music and dances. This is an iconic little park in the heart of Merida, so it’s a must visit if you are around the area. The place captures the Mexican culture and colors.

Nice place to go and have something to eat. Streets are full of shops on the way. Locals are using the area for different celebrations / festivals so worth popping around specially when you hear music

It's a gorgeous little square with a surprising amount to do. There are different types of restaurants and an ice cream shop, depending on the time there's entertainment on a small stage, and tons of places to sit. When I went there was a dance group who also did a small history lesson on Yucatecan dance culture and dress. It's free to be in the square, and the vendors that sell there are respectful, overall really gorgeous and worth grabbing a bite at!

City park in the historic center of the city. The park has GINORMOUSgossip chairs, the white chairs that face opposite directions for lovers to kiss or gossip to share information. The park is surrounded by restaurants. Once a week there is a city sponsored concert in the park. Get there early to sign a seat for the singing and dancing. The park is easy to get two of you are visiting in the center or the historic center of the city, or a quick Uber ride from the outside of the center. This is a lovely park, but it is just a park. By the work "park" I imagine a lot of greenery, trees and benches to relax on, but there is almost none of that in this park. It's more like a small square with three palm trees and restaurants. What's interesting here are two huge white benches (or more like chairs) that you can sit on if you are able to climb them. However, if you are in luck, you may see the Yucatecan Serenade - an open-air dance with live music - taking place in this park every week. I imagine this event is what makes this park interesting.

This park is full of joy. I went there for the Thursday local dance show which starts at 9 p.m.. The people there are in a really good mood, they are chilling, talking, laughing and just enjoying their time there. Come around 8 to 8.30, find a nice spot to sit. Bring snacks or buy some of the many locals selling snacks, water, coke or buy some food from the food stalls or many restaurants.

Great plaza a few blocks away from downtown with lots of places to sit and restaurant around the park. Don't miss sitting on the large chairs and get your picture taken. In the evenings there is usually live music.

Expensive but u get what u pay for. Delicious food, drinks were extensive and very well made. Highly recommend place but 2 kids 2 adults 4 drinks 250$ CAD

The lovers' chairs are here as in many parks with it's tale you can lookup. THe Apoala restarant and a few others are here though I wouldn't personally reccomend them. They do a tour here, find it online. They take you throughout the city and it's a REALLY great thing to do to get acquainted with Merida and the main places in it. This park is very close to everything so if you plan a trip here check on hotels nearby. Nice square and historic little park where I found my first market to buy big water bottles at though the prices seemed to change daily! I'm a gringo to em so they hustled me

Great places to eat in this park, great shade as well! Apoala, Bryan's Burger Bar & La Recova to name a few! We like this square so much we rented a AirBnB around the corner so we could be close to it.

While your walking around Merida you will notice these white chairs with two seats, my friend calls it the lovers chair because it allows two people to have a conversation while facing each other. In this park you will find a similar chair, however, this one is special because it is 10X larger than the ones you find around town (see my pictures so you can understand the size difference.) So if your looking for a good photo opportunity this would be a good spot.

This park is a beautiful area with several very nice restaurants around the border. Dining is available both inside and outside of the restaurants, so it is possible to enjoy the fresh air and watch the people passing by. Free concerts are held each Thursday night and bleachers and chairs are set up for that event. This park features a giant conversation chair which is a popular stop for people to take pictures. A few food carts may be set up in the park - more on Thursday nights. There are some people walking around trying to sell goods, but they weren't too pushy and would leave us alone when we politely declined. Free wifi is also available in this park.

This is a great little park, surrounded by restaurants, where there always seems to be something going on.

If you're looking for a peaceful place to seat and enjoy with your date, family or everyone you prefer, this is the correct site. A big double chair called "Tu y Yo" located in the middle of the park it's the main attraction of it. Also, you can enjoy every night of live popular music and maybe eat dinner in some of the restaurants that round the park. This is a very romantic place, you can't lose the chance to visit it if you come to Mérida city.
