Parque Natural de Sintra-Cascais

This is a popular place for influencers. The history is undeinablely interesting. The views are spectacular as well as the architecture. We like the place but not the crowd. I like the Pena area better.

It's one of the best areas for holidays in Portugal, with beaches, mountains, lovely villages and being close to Guincho, Cascais and Lisbon. Just perfect!

Beautiful place , but unfortunately packed with tourists. Makes the whole experience of visiting stressful, especially if you go inside the castle, you cannot actually enjoy because people are in a line behind you. Going down we went thru the forest which was not easy, but with unexpected discoveries.

Wonderfully place at the very west end point of Europe at the ocean

This was a great experience. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the history. We enjoyed it so much. It was beautiful 🤩!

Cute place. Nice to walking around and have a lot places to go

This site was breathtaking. All the architecture, history, gardens, monuments were fabulous. I always say, read up on it before you go, or certainly after. Gives you that unique perspective on the history. My favorite was visiting the High Cross. Nice leisurely stroll (long but worth it) and the path is wide and paved. Stops along the way include the queen's table and the soldier monument. The nature is so beautiful and we weren't even there during full bloom. The castle itself is worth the money. Lines seem long but they have a great system in place. No worries, you'll get in when your time comes! The views are amazing from the castle and High Cross. Soak it all up. Plan to spend some time here.

Parque Natural de Sintra-Cascais or Sintra-Cascais Natural Park The Sintra- Cascais Natural Park is very close to Lisbon and offers Unesco sites and natural sites. There are many destinations within the park as follows: 1) Sintra Town - This whole area is a Unesco site that includes the town and the the mountain area of Serra de Sintra. 2) Cabo da Roca - this is the westernmost point on Mainland Europe with with cliffs and coastline. 3) Pena Palace - This is one of the most famous buildings in Portugal. It is a Romanticist caste that stands on the top of a hill in the Sinta Mountains. It is one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Many kings of Portugal lived there. 4) National Palace of Sintra - This is the best preserved medieval royal palace in Portugal. It was inhabited for eight centuries by the Portuguese monarchy. 5) Monserrate Palace - This is one of the most beautiful mansions in Sintra. It blends Arabic, gothic and Indian architectural styles with beautiful surrounding gardens. 6) Castle of the Moors - This is a medieval castle locate on a hilltop below Pena Palace. It was constructed during the 8th and 9th centuries during the period of Muslim Iberia. 7) Praia da Adraga Beach - This is one of the best beaches in Portugal. I highly recommend hiring a driver for the day or spending a couple days in this beautiful area!
