Hi All! Can someone please let me know who to contact for reserving a section of this park? What is their email address? I have tried calling 787-480-2980 but it goes straight to voicemail every time. Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

Yelp
I used to frequent this park a lot when I was younger. My soccer team occasionally practiced here and I liked to come here to jog. Now I come to take my kid to the playground. I find this is among the best places to bring kids. There are 3 playgrounds, plus a few other spots for them to enjoy. There is plenty of space for riding bikes or scooters without worrying about cars. The park is safe. This is also a nice place to have picnics. You can also have birthday parties here. You just have to call and make a reservation.
The park itself is mostly well kept. There are a couple tennis and racquetball courts that are in bad shape, but the basketball court, track, moratorium, playgrounds, and some tennis courts are in good shape.

Yelp
Good place to do excercise. They have a track and a path that circles the whole park, which makes for a nice jog or walk. There is also racquetball courts and a pool. For the pool you need to make a reservation, but first you have to take a swimming test to prove you can swim. For kids there are a couple of playgrounds, plus it is very safe for them to ride their bikes and scooters. You can reserve gazebosfor birthdays.

Yelp
Others have written about the swimming, running and tennis facilities at this great spot. But there is also a recycling facility here for plastic and paper (not glass). This may not seem like a big deal, but if you don't have curb-side recycling in your neighborhood (or doubt that the items in your recycling bin placed on the curb are actually getting recycled as opposed to just dumped in the trash bin) there are very few options in the San Juan area to drop off recycling. In fact, the recycling area in Parque Central is the only one that I could find.
In order to locate it, turn right at the entrance to Parque Central. There is a slight fork in the road. Stay left (towards the restaurant). The large, green recycling dumpsters will be right there. I've attached photos.
UPDATE: The mayor of San Juan has allowed this recycling spot to decay. There are piles of recycling materials that people have dropped off that are not picked up or recycled. AVOID THIS SPOT FOR RECYCLING

Yelp
We have a toddler and this place has many areas for him to play. There tennis courts and racquetball courts for rentals. Plenty of parking. Very quiet in the morning. Multiple running tracks.

Yelp
I bring my kid to the Children Park in the Paque Central premises. It's nice. I only wish they build a splash park so that kids can cool off after running around the kids play area.

Yelp
This "central" park is quite large, lots of green area, and lots of different activities such as a huge pool, multiple tennis courts, a track, barbeque or picnic areas, and places to just walk or run. The biggest downside is having to pay to enter the park, even to just drive through.

Yelp
Parque Central is my new favorite outdoor spot in Puerto Rico. It's a park that includes an aquatic center, tennis courts, and trails. The entrance fee is $2.
So far, I've gone here twice to train for my half marathon. There's a small 2 mile sandy/gravel loop around the park . There is also another trail is along the water. It is actually a long bridge on the water. The bridge makes me a little nervous, so I've only run up to about a mile. I think it goes out even further.
Overall, Parque Central is a great place to run. The only problem is that it can get very crowded in the late afternoon/night. There aren't a lot of parking spots, so people improvise and park along the grass. It's much calmer in the morning around 6am.

Yelp
A pretty park with a long boardwalk across the bay. The negative for us is that it does not allow dogs.
