As a typical Roman Catholic, I always seek out a Catholic Church while on holiday. Previously, I've attended Sunday Mass in Puerto del Carmen. We stayed locally to Parroquia de San Ginés in 2020, but I wasn't acquainted with the area then. This time, we were staying in Costa Teguise, so Parroquia de San Ginés was closest. There is a large free car park we always use when we go to Areciffe. It's about a 10 minute walk away toward the marina, if needed. The church is down a side street, I used Google walking maps, which could have been more helpful. When I arrived, some of the congregation were saying the Rosary. I don't speak Spanish, but when you listen, you know. Mass started at 7.30 pm. According to the church website, there is Mass at 7.30pm every day. Although I couldn't understand the Liturgy I could tell when it was the Gospel readings and followed by reading the English versions on my phone app. Everyone seemed friendly when it came to the sign of peace. The priest didn't greet people on the way out, but maybe it's not the custom there.
The church is very attractive inside with murals of scenes from the bible, unlike UK churches where there are more statues.
I think this will be my go to church when we have holidays in Lanzarote.
