Parrot Cove Lodge

Edit: We did end up recieving a partial refund. This hotel booked us on a tour and screwed up the time. They arranged for our driver to pick us up before the tour ended. I called during the tour to try and rearrange the driver pick up time, but no one ever answered. They refused to offer any compensation for their mistake. Awful service. The hotel is not soundproof and is run down. The lounge chairs are old and on their last leg. The beach has many palm trees so there is never sun on the beach. The beach also has a lot of trash by the water. Other hotels in the area had a very nice beach area compared to this one. The breakfast only offers one option. We had local kids coming up to the patio asking for money and snacks. This is not a 3 star hotel, it's a motel. The beds were comfortable though.

Excellent hotel in Hopkins. Definitely the place to stay as this beach is much cleaner than other parts. Has a nice restaurant that is quite good as well. Room, ambience and amenities are all great. Would stay here if I ever return to Hopkins.

Special shout out to Yoli, Leticia and Micah, they were dedicated to making sure our stay was PERFECT! They were polite, caring, attentive, engaging, and absolutely delightful!||Whether you’re looking to relax by the water, explore nearby jungles and waterfalls, or dive into local culture, Parrot Cove is the perfect home base. Loved the bikes, made getting around town easy! ||Highly recommend — we’re already dreaming of coming back! 🇧🇿💙

Gorgeous views, amazing spot on the beach, friendly staff. The bed had some of the softest sheets I have ever felt in my entire life! There is a dock that you can relax on, I ended up jumping off into the ocean and it was just deep enough for me. The time I went there was a bit of a sargassum event, but that is mother nature for you! Honestly it didn't stop me from swimming, and the water is unbelievably warm. Restaurant on site is amazing with incredibly friendly staff. Everyone is interacted with was able to answer my questions with a smile. I had an ocean view room equipped with a lovely hammock and a lounge chair. Everything was tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. They keep the pool and grounds very clean. I was also delighted to meet Rico, their African Grey parrot! And if you are lucky, you might get to spot some sea life like I did - I was lucky enough to spot a manatee right off the dock!

It’s the kind of place that feels intimate but never lacking—quiet enough to relax, yet full of character and warmth. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a laid-back, unforgettable Belize experience.

Parrot Cove Lodge is hands down one of the best places we've ever stayed! From the moment we arrived, they treated us like family. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was unforgettable. They even helped us with booking tours, ensuring we didn’t miss out on any must-see spots. The atmosphere at the lodge is absolutely amazing—relaxed, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a warm, welcoming experience and top-notch service!

This place is great if you are okay with a smaller hotel. The staff are amazing, the location is great, the rooms are clean and comfy. However, there is 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 small pool and a small stretch of beach. This is all absolutely fine unless you want a big resort experience. We loved the whole thing including the small intimate experience.

Absolutely loved our stay at Parrot Cove. Our beachfront rooms were spotless and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Ricco, the resident African Gray parrot kept us entertained during our stay. We had an incredible experience at this boutique resort and can highly recommend them. It was a pleasure meeting Chef Rob and experiencing his chef's dinner on Friday which is made up of an incredible 7-course meal prepared by Chef Rob as we sat around the table watching him cook our dinner. He even took our tuna catch from our fishing trip and used it as one of his appetizers. I can honestly say this dinner was probably one of the best we have had. We had the perfect amount of adventure and relaxation!
