Can't-miss Places to Visit in Australia, According to Australians

"As a gateway to the Outback, Alice Springs launches adventures like hot-air ballooning and hikes to watering holes, and the town has reinvented itself as an arts hub—hosting events such as Parrtjima’s light and sound shows, a rollicking FabAlice drag scene, quirky local events like a 'boat race' in a dried riverbed, and exhibitions at the Araluen Arts Centre that highlight contemporary Aboriginal artists and cultural programming." - Justin Meneguzzi Justin Meneguzzi Justin Meneguzzi is an award-winning journalist and photographer based in Melbourne, Australia. Whether he’s tracking down polar bears in the Arctic or a good laneway latte in Toronto, he's always out exploring. Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines

Amazing event showcasing indigenous culture. So much talent!!! The light installations and artwork were incredible. Entry to the event is free and shuttle buses take you from town to the desert park. There are plenty of food and drinks available. Definitely recommend visiting and supporting this fantastic event.

The wonderful experience you will ever have. Nice cold weather with vibrant lights and colours. He gives the history of the early settlement and way #Aboriginal have their culture still intact. The community who shares and cares for each other
