Thanks subway for being out. I decided to try the wrap at subway and after being skipped twice while I wait for the "flat bread" to be defrosted(blah it looks like compressed fiberboarb) and being out of guacamole I walked out. Then I remembered Pars, yes let's go authentic. I was so glad after getting my gyro! Freshly carved and grilled, the pita so fresh and soft and the topping was creamy and herbal. And about the same price as subway. I hadn't been here for a while and there was a sign "new management",still great. However, the menu is a little smaller and no longer have fresh brewed tea.

The all new "kabob lovers plate" for $15.99. Never going back there again.

My son and I had lunch there about 2 weeks ago. The owner is at the front, and he is so nice! I ordered a beef kabob plate, and my son got the Gyro. We were quickly served our plates, which were more than enough. The Chelo Kabob I ordered was excellent! just right and not dry at all. Very similar to the Persian restaurants in Houston, which are a Persian standard. Rice was terrific, and I also got a side salad included. My son said his Gyro was terrific as well. I I am looking forward to going again when I go back to visit my son.

I had great expectations about this place from all the reviews I read before going there.....unfortunately my experience was really bad; First of all, I need to say the owner is really nice and friendly so there is nothing bad about the attitude but the food was terrible!! Not sure if it's because I went there for dinner and lunch might be better but all our food was cold (rice and vegetables) and the meat was actually re-warmed after being sat for a while. My wife ordered a chicken kabob plate and I ordered the Kabob lover (lamb, beef & chicken) and not only the chicken was dried and rewarmed but was bland and tasteless; the beef on my plate was also cold and the lamb was ok but not spectacular for what they charge for. I also order two different kinds of tea (orange blossom and rose blossom) and not only I did not get it served but they pointed me into the direction of the Ice tea where there was also one single variety of tea. I honestly hate to give bad reviews and I in fact like the owner's attitude but the food is not what I expected and not pair to several Mediterranean/Turkish/middle east restaurants I've tried in Austin. I hope it was only my experience during the time I was there but unfortunate I won't give this place a second chance since I already got several better options I've tried over the months here in Austin.

Gracious owner served us while we came in unannounced with a party of 12 (not recommended). But it is BYOB so if your food is running behind, just pop open your own drink. Great spinach pastry, gyros, and chicken wings. Great family too. Parking can be hard as it shares the lot with Trudy's.

Good prices, fantastic food and fast service. I had the gyro wrap and greek salad combo. Portions were extremely generous and VERY tasty! The atmosphere and ambience was not fancy but it was cozy. Service was fast and very friendly. Highly recommended.
