Great wait staff and ambiance. This was our second visit in the evening and it feels magical with the soft patio lights. Definitely a family and dog friendly spot. The brew we chose was pricier than most we had in the County

Parsons Brewing Company is always our first stop when we arrive in Prince Edward County, and for good reason — it’s everything you want in a PEC experience. The setting is charming, welcoming, and quintessentially County, with rustic buildings, wide-open space, and thoughtful touches throughout. The beer is consistently excellent, with a great variety on tap to suit any taste. Whether you're into hop-forward IPAs, crisp lagers, or something more seasonal and creative, they always have something fresh and exciting — which makes it a great place to bring friends with different preferences. The food is delicious. Yes, prices can be on the higher side, but the portion sizes and quality completely justify it. Everything we’ve tried has been well-executed, fresh, and full of flavour — a proper meal, not just an afterthought to the beer. What really sets Parsons apart is how much there is to do year-round. In the winter, the outdoor hockey rink and cozy campfires make it such a fun and unique spot. In the summer, the games and expansive outdoor area create the perfect laid-back vibe. Parsons is more than a brewery — it’s an experience. A must-visit every time!

The place is very beautiful to look and completely instagramable. Good place with cozy vibes but food and drink wise I think it is expensive and quantity of food is quiet less. I see the attraction it has. We had passed it on the way and it was so attractive that we changed out route while driving back so that we could stop here. So maybe a one time experience for sure.

We came here for the Asado dining experience to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. We had a fantastic time and experirnce. Jay, the manager and his team was very attentive throughout the evening. Great service and the food was absolutely delicious from the starter to the dessert! Special thanks to Samantha, the Parsons event planner who helped us plan and set up this great family style dining experience for this special occasion. Oh, and the sunset despite some clouds was still beautiful to add to the occasion!

Google
Such a lovely place to spend and evening with friends having a pint. Parsons has a wide selection on offer and this was a brewery where all 4 choices I had in my flight were outstanding and I couldn't honestly pick my favourite. If you are just looking for something easy drinking, go with the Crushable Pilsner. I made a reservation and I'm glad I did. It was a lovely Friday night and it was very busy. The service is great. Staff were friendly and attentive and did a great job despite how packed it was. On the food side, it is a bit of a hit and miss. The portions are okay and the pork belly I had was amazing and tasted great. But, it felt a little steep for the price compared to the portion size. There is a huge area to enjoy here. It is kid and dog friendly, with activities and a play area to keep everyone entertained. There was live music the night I was there and the artist was great. The music was fun and upbeat without being so loud you couldn't talk to the person beside you. There is also lots of parking (on gravel) and everything is on one level so it's accessible for wheelchairs as well. I also have a soft spot for places that grow their own hops on site.

Yelp
The food parsons is awesome, they have different lunch and dinner menus. We came here for both menus and the food was delicious, varying cuisines with a nice twist! The service staff are super attentive and helpful, they took the time to explain dishes and gave good recommendations. During lunch, we had the empanadas and the filling was well seasoned and the dish was great! We also came for dessert and drinks. The panacotta was velvety with a fruit reduction, the tartness of the fruit played really nicely with the smooth panacotta. The mango lassi sour drink was also really good, a good mix between beer and mango. They have an outdoor dining area that is under a roof and another festival style eating area. Both are great with the summer weather!

Yelp
Service was good and it's too bad the food was a disappointment. Guac tasted off and i wish it was separated in another bowl from the chips. Portions were very small for the price. The tacos were cold and lacked flavor. I got the beer flight and none of the beer really stood out. There's few activities out on the patio and it's a good place to hang out in the summer.

Yelp
What a great start to our vacation in PEC. Shout out to Morgan for giving us recommendations on what to do while in the area. And Mitchell was great -- took fabulous care of us. Loved the guac/chips for an appetizer and the chicken dish was my favorite of the main courses we tried. Live music just made this dining experience a fantastic experience.

Yelp
Great experience at this PEC brewery! Flights were under $11 for 4 glasses of ~2oz pours. They had a nice range of classic pilsners to IPA and stouts. Lots to choose from! There was literally 1 young man running the bottle shop + the pub and he was friendly, down to earth, and accommodating. Place had a relaxed vibe. Parson's was a good reminder of all the reasons why I prefer breweries in less travelled places - friendlier, chill vibe, and reasonably priced flights!

Yelp
Great place for a break from the city life. Wide selection of beers and great menu. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating. Definitely make sure to grab a flight and the asado carne. Could have skipped out on the burger.

Yelp
It was a last minute decision to come to Parson's Brewing for lunch because they have a pet friendly patio. We lucked out cos they are having an Ocktoberfest live music fund raising event. Tried two different beer - a classic German Hefeweizen and the coffee stout. Enjoyed both, the coffee stout certainly carry a punch of aromatic coffee. My partner and I also shared bradwurst, schnitzel and butter chicken empanadas for food. All the food was pretty decent. The live music at the beer hall was fun and the nice patio with mid autumn sun just created the most relaxing ambiance for a very enjoyable afternoon. Will certainly come back in the future.

Yelp
I did not know what to expect! We went WOW when we drove in Parson's Brewing. The open set up with that huge open area! This is more than a brewery. I would do a pit stop every time from now on when I visit PEC! Mexican food and Bar. I just could not say NO to that! They have a good selection of beer on tap: their own that were brewed on site and guest taps. The patio... I am just speechless. I can just chill and drink beer that the whole day. Even the taproom area inside is pretty nicely set up. Family friendly, Dog friendly and Beer Lover friendly. One of the best stops at Prince Edward County!

Yelp
as my Daughter says, "All the stars! Great food, great service, great play set, big space" Mom and dad agree (one amendment to their review, great beer, environment, dog friendly, and overall vibe)

Yelp
After a weekend of a lot of eating and drinking this our last and unplanned stop was at Parson's. The servers were great at helping to navigate the selection of beers, and i discovers several styles I would not have selected on my own that are now go-to's. Specifically the Crushable Pilsner and Mousetrap Rye Pale Ale. While we did not have a full meal but what we did have was well made and tasty (soft german pretzels and curried empanadas).

Yelp
Stay for the beer not the food!! Drove in from Toronto for the day and someone recommended this place. I ordered the burger $19.99 and that's what I got, "A" burger, that's it I believe there was about 8 leaves of arugula on the side of the plate. It was comical. My wife ordered the fried chicken!! and that's what she got.... Nothing with it!! Just way over priced ...

Yelp
Swung by last year and was so busy looking scared us away. Made a plan to come again this year and wow glad we did! The line to get in lives along quite quickly and the staff keeps you happy while you wait. And once you're in - boom! Craft beer, awesome food, super friendly and attentive staff which leads to a super experience had by all. Definitely will come again. Just wish we didn't live 3 hours away so could come more often. If you're not close, make the trip it's well worth it!

Yelp
Great beer tastings. Huge selection of crafted beer. Great food options to take this beer down. A great stop over lunch.

Yelp
Sorry but this was kind of a sub-par experience if I'm being honest. Genuinely quite surprised to see the 4.5 avg stars on here. The food was expensive (even relatively to like Toronto prices), portions were small, some of the food was dry and hard (pretzels were rock hard). Menu items were limited when I visited as they didn't have some key items in stock. Service was okay. Beer was decent but kind of very typical for most craft beer brewpubs. The fact the place has a large patio and some outdoor games is the real draw and I can see the appeal for that, let alone the fact that some parts of Prince Edward Country doesn't have many options for eating out, let alone a brewpub so if you're in a pinch I can imagine this place being an adequate option, particularly if you're more into beer than eating. If you're going as a larger group be aware they cannot split bills. Also I don't know why restaurants like this still try to insist on QR code menus when the area the restaurant was in has almost no phone reception and there is no WiFi at the brewery. Just have use paper menus, nobody wants to spend 5 minutes trying to download a pdf menu off a 1-bar phone connection in a rural area.

Yelp
We popped by here just before closing at 6 pm. We didn't realize they were closing and we're just casually walking around. Staff were great about letting us know that they were closing up and we should get our orders in if we wanted anything. We had just finished a big lunch so we weren't very hungry. We did have a flight of beer that was quite nice. The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing though and I wished we had stopped here for lunch instead. Laidback ambience and fun things for the kids to play with and run around.

Yelp
Summary: Great beer but skip the food. We had their tasting flight - really liked the hefeweizen and Japanese inspired beer (rinda rinda). Tried an interesting saison that we enjoyed but likely couldn't drink a whole pint of it. The food is over-priced and mediocre at best. We had the guac and chips. The avocado was unripe, as evidenced by chunks that we couldn't even cut through. As a result the guac was pretty dry and not creamy. We also had the elotes corn - they were too lazy to spread the seasoning across the cob so only one side was seasoned. The atmosphere is great - nice patio with picnic tables and umbrellas, a playground for kids, and live music on a Sunday afternoon! The service was okay but clearly still green. The explanation of the flight was confusing - first we were told it was preset but after asking a few more questions learned we could pick our own. Later, we were still drinking and eating when we were asked if they could clear any dishes.

Yelp
Now this is the spot to go, if you're a beer loving individual visiting the Prince Edward County region. Let's start with the cool farm-like facility with big open grassy areas with picnic tables and even games including horseshoes and ping pong. The main bar area is nicely designed but the patio area is huge and spread out which makes it really easy to settle in for a while. They had a surprisingly high variety of beers, including a mix of easy drinking pilsners, seasonable sours and saisons, some always enjoyable IPAs and pale ales, and even some barrel aged options and a series of experimental stouts. We had some flights, most of which were all well received. We also ordered a bit of food and were impressed by the surprisingly authentic mexican tacos being served. My only complaint (and I'm not even docking a star from the review but giving as a word of heads up to future visitors)... If you're buying from the bottle shop to go, make sure the prices you are told are actually the final prices. I was told bottles or cans would be certain prices, only to find my total bill when I reviewed my receipt at my hotel to be entirely higher. So I'm not sure if they were telling me the pre-tax prices (which they shouldn't be doing since all Ontario alcohol is listed and sold at tax inclusive prices), or if it was just a mistake from the guy working the room, but either way I felt a bit gouged on that part of the experience. To that point, if they simply had a price list at their bottle/can fridges it would have fixed that problem too. Fix this up Parsons!

Yelp
I'm not a beer expert, but the vibe of this place is 100% for me. The wooden barn mixed with hipster details and Mexican inspired menu - I want to live here. It was a chilly fall day but I imagine in summer there people outside playing all those games they have set up (horseshoes, bean bag toss, ping pong) and maybe even a fire in the pit. I tried a flight of beers and enjoyed them, even took a few home. The VW they had out front was cool too. Great photo op.

Yelp
This was our first brewery stop while in PEC. I chose this one because it served tacos. I love tacos! However, the tacos were just okay. My bf got the carne asada, which he again described as okay. He did enjoy the beer flight on offer. And I love the ambiance. Large harvest tables and a firepit. The smell of smoke and great music. Would be a lovely place for a wedding. I did find it to be the most expensive of the breweries we visited as well.

Steeven G.

Yelp
If you like light beers and stouts this is your spot. If you are looking for a real good IPA, keep driving. Beautiful place to visit and have a meal.

Yelp
This a good place! Their servers were very accommodating of our dog, their beers were all solid, and the food menu is actually pretty diverse (a lot of Mexican food). We would have liked a little larger serving with our guacamole/chips order, but that's a small gripe for a great place!
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
Great place for a stopover from Ottawa to Toronto. The beer is delicious: try the saison on a hot summer day! The guacamole and chips are delicious. Very family friendly and the play area is great!
google avatar

Carrie D.

Yelp
Great spot to drink beer and enjoy the sunshine. It's also very kid friendly, and the Mexican food is delicious. Only downside is that they close early but that isn't too different from most other places in PEC.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped here for supper as we had heard the patio and food were great. Their beer is excellent with lots of options. Service was great. The menu is mainly Mexican and while the choices sounded good, the food turned out to be average at best. It was disappointing.

Yelp
Very good food and some of the better beer in the area. We stopped for lunch on a whim heading out to Provincial Park in Prince Edward County on a Saturday afternoon. They have a large field with picnic tables, lawn games, and a very cool taproom finished in a reclaimed wood modern take on farmhouse style. The seating felt a bit unorganized to me and it was not overly clear who I should talk to or where I should go. Outside of that minor complaint though they did fantastic. Our server was pleasant and offered some recommendations for the flights. The food was really quite good with my hands down favorite being the cola braised pork with mustard greens. That dish and the very decent beer makes Parsons a real treat for lunch if your headed to the county.

Yelp
Hello all. We went on a gorgeous summer day last year and absolutely loved it. Great food, service and atmosphere. People of all ages, with kids playing outside. Live Music. Truly a great time. So for mother's day we ordered their prepared 'make it at home' meals -- the steak, chorizo, sausage-ka-bobs, and the works. So very nicely spiced. Instructions provided made it so easy. And the beer!!! Westy and Crushable both world class imho. These folks are good at what they do!!!!

Tammy M.

Yelp
Just had dinner and drink with few friends. Beer was good, food was alright. Service is where they are lacking. Waited 50 minutes for food. When asked waitress after 40 minutes what was taking so long she responded that there was a large group before us. Yes there was a big group but they were eating when we arrived. Nobody acknowledged us while we were waiting or checked in with us. Did not feel valued or appreciated as a customer. Not great experience

Joseph R S.

Yelp
Amazing to find incredible Mexican food out in the county. The Porta potties are actually super clean, so don't wait in line inside. Dogs welcome (don't tell the authorities).

Melenie T.

Yelp
Was here for lunch, very busy with bridal parties and large evnts but our waiter made us feel right at home! the food was great- chorizo tacos were great for the price 3 for $14! flights were good and customizable!

Anne S.

Yelp
Some of the best food and beer I've had in the County. Seems like they're still figuring out their service model, but A for effort! The food was amazing, we ordered the elotes (corn on the cob), cola braised pork, and Savannah burger. All were delicious, the braised pork was some of the best I've had, the mustard and greens complemented it so well.

B. T.

Yelp
We've stopped in twice and enjoyed the experience each time. They are turning our very good beer for a new brewery and the location is great and will only get better when the landscaping work is complete. The Mousetrap Rye is a wonderful beer and the staff are very friendly. My only issues is that the price of a growler fill is steep compared to some other breweries that are also turning out great beer (Napanee, Wild Card and Church Key). No problem with a 5 dollar deposit, no problem that they want to fill their own glass but 19 dollars for the fill? That's gouging a bit.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Good food, good beer but it ends there. The tacos were very good but are starters and not entrees. They are tiny! They appear mid menu at $5 each, not categorized as starters or appetizers. My wife and I ordered 4 and the little things came out at random times. First the two pork, 10 minutes later the chicken and 5 minutes later the beef. They were good -- but why they were served singly at random intervals was odd. Umm we would like to eat together! We ordered the guacamole and chips then to fill us up but it didn't. The staff was rushed, inattentive and snarky. Parsons has a long way to go.
