How to Plan a Trip Along Amtrak's New Mardi Gras Route to New Orleans | Condé Nast Traveler

"Powder-soft sand fronts the Gulf and the park’s family-friendly setup—grills, picnic tables, restrooms, plus a playground and splash pad—makes it easy to linger after a quick Uber, walk, or bike ride from downtown." - Jessica Puckett

Walked out on the pier around sunset. Absolutely beautiful with the sun going down. Pier was clean. Walked around at the park, again, beautiful. Also clean. Lovely scenery. Definitely wish had more time to visit but was just passing through.

Great beach to walk my dog on a long walk. Saw an officer drive by on my walk down the beach and aging back to car. Felt very safe. Beautiful homes on one side and a great park but no pets allowed. Clean bathrooms with a pier to walk down.

Surreal and beautiful place. Beach, Pier and the park are located close by. Nice place to spend the day. Quiet sleepy town. Very laid-back.

Google
This is a nice park. It is kept clean. There are restrooms located at the park. There is a snack bar located in the park if you want snacks. Not sure what the hours are for the snack bar. This is a great place to have BBQ, picnic or just a nice lunch to enjoy the beautiful weather. There is festivals here throughout the year. Awesome playground for kids. You can enjoy a walk to the pier. Grillin And Chillin With Mojo On YouTube And Blackstone Griddle Crew

This is a really nice park on the beach in Pascagoula. Plenty of parking it has two bathrooms stations. The playground is nice for kids. It has a splash pad that was not operational yet. I guess still too cold. There are benches that are located so you can sit and look at the water. Definitely a great park.

Google
Great family oriented park. Free entertainment! A play ground, splash pad, beach access, pier, concessions and restrooms. Fun, safe, relaxing environment.

I was looking for a nice park to walk my dog and I loved it there! It was very clean and the sidewalk beside the beach is very nice. I will definitely be back.

Google
Very well groomed and expensive park complex. Loads of parking available. The dock provides a great walk over the water and good views from the end. Apparently, the dock end is good for fishing, also. Great grounds and areas for picnicking. Could spend the whole day here. A little cloudy and almost chilly the day I visited. Extensive beach area. Lots of cool old trees.

Yelp
I have countless fond memories at this park from my childhood and I'm happy this park is still being well-maintained. My family and I recently came here for the annual 4th of July fireworks show. It was a fantastic experience! Here's a few tips if you're coming for that event: 1) Come early (at LEAST an hour)! This will cut down on your frustrations on attempting to find a place to park. 2) Bring beach chairs. It seems obvious to some, but to those who've never experienced the agony of constantly shifting their weight while waiting for the show to start... just do it. 3) Bring towels, and cold beverages. Again, just trust me on this. You won't regret it. Also, check out the splash pad. The kids absolutely love it. There's plenty of tables on all sides (all within the shade) for parents to sit and watch their littles. The water is set to a timer so after approximately 5 minutes, one of the kids or parents will need to press the big silver button located on the red pedestal. There is also a really nice playground for children along with several bench swings along the fence line closest to the beach. Definitely my favorite park in all of Jackson County.

Yelp
Pascagoula Beach Park is great for walks with a lot of tables and grills to hangout. Would rate this higher but the community can do nothing about my biggest issue, which are bugs! The splash pads are open for specific times of the year, but is awesome for kids and the family. The park itself also has a concession stand that is also seasonal, and they have a bunch of snacks available. The park is great for picnics and bbqs.

Yelp
Pascagoula Beach Park is an absolutely wonderful little park located, as the name would imply, right next to the water in Pascagoula, Mississippi. There are several pavilions, a children's play area, and more. I enjoyed just walking this park and along the pier just across the street. I also noticed that they had a lot of metal arch-type structures just before the pavilions that stated "PAVILIONS" throughout the property. I was talking to a client about it the next day, and he told me the shipping yard donated them to the community. This made sense to me. Pascagoula has a huge shipping manufacturer in their town. Obviously, this park was pretty popular to the community. The place had a lot of people just hanging out and enjoying being alive in the moment. Everything from a family enjoying the evening and a pizza, to joggers and dogwalkers to teenagers just hanging out were taking advantage of Pascagoula Beach Park. If business returns me to Pascagoula, Mississippi again, I would definitely return here. If life in general finds you in Pascagoula, Mississippi, I would recommend that you come check this cool place out. I will give it five stars.

Yelp
THIS IS NOT A PET FRIENDLY PARK AND WAS VERY EMPTY WHEN I VISITED ON THE WEEKEND. Park looks pristine and clean, gated with a playground and restrooms. I think this park is just placed here for looks. I thought it was odd that no one was at this park. I went 1.6 mile down the road down Beach Boulevard, saw tons of people walking, running, biking, walking dogs going toward Point Park, so I followed their lead and went there instead.

Yelp
Beautiful area next to the beach. I will definitely go when in town. Nice accommodations.

Yelp
As I sit here writing this review all I can think about is all the good times I experienced at this beach. First and foremost come early to enjoy the beautiful sunrises this beach has to offer. The sunrises are breathtaking and can be perfectly viewed on the long bridge the beach has to offer. This beach is great for long runs, short runs, or even just walking. If you look closely on the benches they have you can see a mile marker where if starting at the bridge you can see where the 1.5 mile mark is. Alot can be done here if your into fishing, swimming, or just walking observing the beautiful mansions on the waterfront. They also have a lovely park with kids slides and swings and even a huge pavillion with tables. The best thing about the park is they even have a nice splash pad open in the summer for the kids to run around and get wet. This is one beach you definitely have to visit when coming to the Gulf coast! The water might not be nice and blue but hey its MS right? The views and people here make up for it and I will definitely miss the long runs I had here and all the great workouts I had on the nice freshly cemented sidewalk.

Very nice park with a splash pad and covered picnic areas. It has a nice playground and is right on the beach.

Yelp
Beautiful evening for a walk. Great place to catch a sunset. There is a pier, playground, grills, picnic tables, splash pad and restrooms. This is a very nice park for get together or events. It is well shaded with plenty of trees. Parking is adequate with a parking area and street parking available.

Yelp
If you are looking for a nice quiet place to take a long walk. A place to gather your thoughts. A place to be romantic. Maybe even a place to have a little fun; this could be the place. An amazing beach that stretches over 3 miles. It's features an amazingly lit pier, volleyball nets, and a play ground for the kids. Multiple bridges near the road, were people often pull over and fish. Last, but not least; this is a dog friendly environment. If you are in the area, stop and check it out. One of Pascagoula hidden gems for sure.

Yelp
Came here several times over the course of our stay in Moss Point. It was a nice getaway outside our hotel room and my daughter was able to run around and play. There's two large playgrounds next to each other, so lots of activities. Around the playground, is a walking path with exercise stations. Then across from the playground, there are water spouts for you to cool off. This is such a great spot for kids and families, I only wished they allowed dogs too.

Yelp
Decided to pinic at the park for the evening and it was fun. After eating we decided to walk the pier. Stopped to take pics of the sunset and see the driftwood moving on the waves. It was pretty and enjoyed the visit.

Yelp
Nice clean, very well maintained, family friendly park with lots of shade. There are plenty of tables to sit and relax or to eat (Bozo's Seafood is right up the street! Great seafood. Can't recommend it enough and it's very reasonable). As always when you are anywhere on the Gulf Coast pay attention to ants. They can be anywhere. And fire ant bites sting and hurt like hell so be careful. We don't have little kids but we saw there are plenty of play areas and plenty of room for them to run and wear themselves out! There is a curved paved walkway that runs through the entire park from front to back, side to side. We didn't go across to the pier nor the beach so can't comment on that part of the park but from afar it looked very clean and well maintained. We went during the day. So can't comment about the park at night nor the lighting or safety although the feel of the park tells me it'd probably be just as nice at night as it was when we went during the day.

Yelp
This is a great park and right across from the beach. Just a few steps across the crosswalk and the beach pier is there! So cool, it goes way out over the water.

Ashley R.

Yelp
The only thing we did not like was the beach across from park. The water was NASTY! Someone even found a condom in the sand near the water. We packed up and left. We took our kid to the splash pad and he had a blast! It's a decent size pad. They also have a play ground. There is lots of room for kids to run around and play! Has plenty of seating as well. The park was great, the beach was not.
