Google
Our first visit to Burlington and we picked this restaurant based on other reviews. The atmosphere/ vibe of Pascolo Ristorante matches Church Street, the service was excellent as was the food. We had gnocchi and shared a salad.

Google
Our meals were were hands down phenomenal in terms of being delicious, the presentation, being very savory, along with the texture and the immediate timing after prep. The interior design of the restaurant and decor is gorgeous with very high ceiling and awesome appointments throughout. We were right at the 4 sides bar with plentiful seating. The bar tender was exceptional. She was not only very attentive but also quite welcoming, professional, and very friendly throughout our drinks and dinner experience there.

Google
Good Caprese salad but more cheeses than tomato so the portions were off. Not traditional because there was no fresh basil leaves instead it’s served with a pesto which was really good. Everyone at the bar was offered and given a complementary olive, chip, cracker trio except us. We were the only black people. I’m just saying. The calamari is perfectly prepared. The sauces served with it are unremarkable. This place makes the pasta in-house so it’s fresh and delish. The Bolognese was fantastic with the pappardelle, the frutti di mare is fresh and tasty but ignore the description that says lemon garlic sauce. It’s actually a pomodoro sauce. The al dente broccolini is flavorful and a good complement to the pasta. The Parmesan bread is fantastic but we kinda felt forced to order it because this is an Italian place that doesn’t give you Italian bread. Everything is à la cart and the wine list is slim. All and all, I’d go for the fresh made in-house pasta. If you are white, you’ll have a super experience. If not, you already know.

Pull up a chair and get ready for the best restaurant review — prior to making a reservation we did some homework— we checked out the reviews, the menu and the history behind the building, it turns out that the building that houses the Pascolo Restaurant was a bank. It made sense once you entered. The vibe and the ambiance were cool and inviting, we were met with a happy ‘ hello!’ and a huge smile, and we were seated promptly. There were no pretensions, the playlist made that clear. our server, Carli, was a soft-spoken and very attentive and efficient. Her turnaround time was unmatched, she checks in at just the right time to refill our water or just take excesses away from the table. We rarely experienced such thorough service at any place that we ever dined! The appetizer were fried calamari, fried olives and cheesy garlic bread . The calamari was golden brown and seasoned right. The fried olives were a first for me , and they were delish! The garlic bread was moist yet crunchy and the olive oil was so so good! The entrees were out of this world! The brazato de manzo was so decadent and satisfying , I literally was in heaven. The chicken Marsala was tender and juicy and the polenta was creamy and boasted an exciting depth of flavor that hit on every single tastebud,my mouth was happy! The chicken parmigiana was encrusted in a cheesy coat on a bed of rigatoni pasta. Every meal was a score! The desserts were phenomenal- from the torta to the tiramisu, to the canoli ,excellent, excellent, excellent!

I have come here for the past 6 months on my monthly work trip to Burlington. This is my favorite restaurant on church street. Great pasta and eggplant parm. I don’t usually come back to the same place but I look forward to coming here every month.

Google
Pascolo is a wonderful little establishment in Burlington. Our server Brooke was outstanding and unbelievably kind to us the whole night. The manager Kat came over and made sure we were well taken care of. I would come back any day. The pasta was delish and the company was even better.

Google
We had an amazing client dinner here on Tuesday night. Zoe was an amazing server, and took great care of us. She recommended wines and entrees with expertise. The interior decor is absolutely gorgeous, and such a nice place to bring clients. For appetizers we tried the insalata caprese, garlic parmesan bread, and castelvetrano olives. These are the first olives I have ever tried and liked. We did not get the fried ones, we tried the ones with olive oil, sea salt. For main entrees we got a variety of dishes including chicken marsala, chicken parmesan, the gnocchi, and the brosato de manzo. Everything was cooked perfectly with delicious sauces, and the creamy polenta was amazing! Pascolo ristorante came highly recommended to us, and I can see why. Thank you for an amazing meal!

Came in for lunch on Saturday after graduation with large party. Service was great, drinks excellent, and the food tasty. The pizza fritta is hard to describe. Its a very light and airy pizza dough deep fried wrapped around some fillings and the tomato sauce on side for dipping.

Yelp
I had dinner here with my daughter after a long day of college tours. We didn't have a reservation and were quoted a 45 minute wait, but they were able to get us seated in about 25 minutes. Our server was wonderful...attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and our food was fantastic. The calamari is some of the best I've had, and the shrimp and wilted greens dish I ordered was out of this world. Also...the inside of the restaurant is pure eye candy; just a gorgeous space.

Yelp
We had a delightful dinner here while visiting our grandchild in college at UVM. This was our best dinner of the week. A gem of a find on Church Street lined with fast food sub-casual dining great for students. But overall the choice of a white table cloth resturant is very limited which is probably what to expect in a collge town. The setting is definitly old school. This historic building was once a Trust Bank (look it up if you don't know what that was). The first thing that strikes you is the warm wood decor. The 12' high ceiling does cause some echo and noise but overall it is bearable. There is also a patio seating area with heaters and garage doors to ward off the cold. We sat there on a lovely Fall evening when the temperatures with the heaters was just right. The second thing that hits you is the refined and limited menu. When I see a menu of 500 dishes I know right away I can expect average or below average food. But if the menu is focused then typically the food is good. Pascola did not let me down. The rigatoni pasta was perfectly done and the vodka sauce had a perfect tang. The dish temperature was exellent and proved that the kitchen and server were on the ball. Kudos for that. My wife's mushroom dish and grandaughters mussels were equally hot and tasteful. A very ice Pino-like Itailan wine made the meal perfrect. Thanks again for a great evening. Three dinners plus two salads plus two glasses of wine was $165 including tip. Well worth the price.

Yelp
Been here multiple times and also impressed with the food. Tonight I ordered their limoncello shrimp. Kind gave me a little bit of a Tai taste but still very delicious. Large juicy shrimp. Service was great as well. The ladies behind the bar worked very fluid together helping each guest equally. We definitely be back again.

Yelp
Pascolo is a wonderful little establishment in Burlington. Our server Brooke was outstanding and unbelievably kind to us the whole night. The manager Kat came over and made sure we were well taken care of. I would come back any day. The pasta was delish and the company was even better. Good vibes all around!

Yelp
Great spot. Highly recommend the parm garlic bread. Tasted amazing. The service was excellent too. We ordered salads which were both fresh and tasty. For the main course we got the spicy rigatoni and the chicken parm. Both were good, but didn't blow me away. Ambiance is nice, big space! Overall it was a great meal and a good value. Will be back!

Nicholas G.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the cocktails were refreshing. The only thing I will say is that the service was mediocre. Not too friendly and not the greatest personality.

Jacintha T.

Yelp
Fried Olives This was everything I wanted it to be and more! Golden fried, Castelvetrano olives surrounded by sausage then dusted with Parmesan. The sausage was fresh So freaking delicious! The aioli with it had a hint of lemon that cut the salty olive. A must try for an olive lover! #ThisFeedsMySoulStatusConferred on the olives only. Homemade Meatballs Two medium sized meatballs, the balls were good. After the flavorful sausage I expected more seasoning in the meatballs. The sauce was thick and had good chunks of tomato. They really had it balance with no tang to the sauce. Very well executed. Grilled Italian Sausage The sausage is phenomenal. Creamy polenta that was smooth and buttery. The broccolini was bland and the char was overpowering making it taste burnt. Having a bit more red sauce would've been great. I Cynivised by using the remaining sauce from the meatballs. All in all, very good food. I would say it's worth checking out.

Jane G.

Yelp
I LOVED what I ordered at Pascolo. The calamari was a perfect appetizer, and my Papardelle Funghi (pasta with mushrooms and a creamy parmesan sauce) was excellent. Great portion size, filling, flavorful, and delicious. The service was friendly. My only complaint is that this restaurant, for having pretty exorbitant prices, has an interior nearly identical to the Cheesecake Factory. Otherwise, a great spot! Family friendly as well.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I came here for dinner on our first night of our Burlington get away. We were able to be seated right away which was amazing and sat in an outdoors area that had an awning and heaters. It was a great spot as we got to people watch on church street as we ate our meal. We got garlic bread to start, a glass of wine each and then I was to hungry after our day of shopping to remember to take a picture of our entree but that was amazing as well. At the end of the night we decided we needed a sweet treat so we got the tiramisu, which was absolutely amazing as well. Over all it was a great experience at pascolo and we will be sure to come back when visiting Burlington again!

Deena J.

Yelp
Amazing food as always. All the pastas [handmade in house] were paired nicely within the entrees. Our server was great and has a lot of knowledge about the ingredients & menu items. Sat outdoors, great ambiance to watch Church Street.

Becky G.

Yelp
I really hate to give this rating. We used to go to the original location on church street and we always loved the ambiance, the food and the service. Last night was the first time we've been to the new location (the old Sweetwaters) and our experience was just super underwhelming. Our food was mediocre at best. This includes a very over dressed Caesar salad with a ton of browned and wilted pieces of romaine. The croutons were deliciously crispy though! The rigatoni was ok, not much imagination in this dish at all though. It took almost 30 minutes for my daughter get her drink and my partner ordered a seltzer with cranberry...this arrived with the absolute lightest splash of pinkish liquid. Our server was nice but it honestly felt that we were an afterthought or a bother being there. The ambiance is going to be different, obviously, as it's a new location. We probably wont be back and would be hesitant to recommend to others.

Patricia Z.

Yelp
First time eating here. Found it on tiktok. I recommend making a reservation. Place is located on Church street, outdoor dining. Very nice location. Food was good and prices were reasonable. There were no specials and menu is kind of small. Pasta was good.

Amy S.

Yelp
I was in town for work. This was what they picked for dinner one night. They have both indoor and outdoor seatings. Even with the indoor seating, it opened to the outside. The service was wonderful, and they were able to accommodate separate checks for us. 3 out of 7 people ordered the Pappardelle with sausages, and 1 ordered Pappardelle with mushrooms. 1 stuffed trout. 1 grilled chicken marsala. 1 chicken parmesan. Everyone loved their choices. I got the Pappardelle with sausages. It was AMAZING! If it was appropriate (but it's not), I would have licked the plate clean. 6 out of 7 plates were completely empty. 1 person took leftovers. Overall, this was a great experience, food, and service.

Danielle V.

Yelp
Cute Italian restaurant in downtown Burlington. The inside is very pretty with a large bar and lots of side rooms and lots of tables. It looks like they open doors for the summer so they have lots of outside seating. We were there for NYE dinner and it was very busy but the service was very slow. They were super nice but it took her a while to come to us and bring drinks. We ordered mushroom homemade pasta, a ceaser salad and the steak with polenta. All the food was really good but the temperature of the food and steak were lukewarm. If the food was hotter it would have been way better. Overall though it was really good and a great experience. I would come back again if I was in the area.

Laura D.

Yelp
I have come here a few times first with my daughter & daughter in law. Then with multiple friends. I always have a wonderful meal as do my friend as they rave about it. There's usually left overs for me which is great. The service is always exceptional. They don't mind answering questions no matter how many you ask. The new location has more space so you don't feel like you're in the next persons lap. It's always a great meal & time when we all come here. Thank you!

Rich R.

Yelp
My server, Matt, was absolutely amazing. He was working nonstop at tables making certain every detail was taken care of. Everyone at my table ordered a different pasta. The pasta is home made. We all tried each others pasta. They had a distinct flavor and great texture. For an appetizer, the mussels were great. Don't be afraid to try this place. You won't be disappointed.

Colby F.

Yelp
Solid food and a nice atmosphere. The highlight of the night was our server, Luca. He was very personable and sold us on his favorite entrees. The portions are a little small for what you pay, but I think it's enough for most people. I recommend making a reservation.

Helen P.

Yelp
Food was yummy - really liked the bolognese and pappardelle and the salads - we got Caesar and Italian. Restaurant had good vibes - high ceilings and classy decor!

Emily V.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Pascolo at their new location and I loved the setup and decor. Service was quick and the staff were all super friendly. I've always been a fan of their spaghetti and meatballs, but I've really never been disappointed by any dish I've gotten there. This is a great place for a date night, a night out with friends, or to grab a drink or two.

Jen C.

Yelp
We loved it here. It's a cool space-high ceilings and cool architectural details. We sat in the glass enclosed patio area during a stormy night and it was great to be able to people watch despite the weather. We had mussels and chicken parm and both were delicious. Devon was our server and she was fantastic. Definitely would recommend this pla

LeftSox W.

Yelp
Generally avoid an under 4.0 rating, but sometimes you just need to read the reviews. If the complaints are the wait and service, get over it. Chances are the food is good, which it is/was. Bar tender was pretty on point to start, followed by 3 real good apps. Wife and I both got a different version of the pappardelle pasta. Hers had mushrooms and mine in a white sauce with Italian sausage. Dishes were fantastic. We both agreed it would be our preferred dishes at our favorite Italian places back home. Place is better than the reviews. Yes you need to dodge a hobo or two going to and from the restaurant, but food and ambience is worth the risk.

Paul B.

Yelp
Chicken parm, you taste sooooo good! Wonderful little spot to people watch while you enjoy some tasty food.

S C.

Yelp
Our first visit since they changed to a much larger location. Service was polite and seemed fine. Atmosphere is meh. But more important, the once lovely tasty pasta meals prepared by the former Pascolo's seem to have gone. We had two flavorless dishes (one pasta based, one not) both served at nearly room temperature. The pasta was over cooked. We were 1/3 of the way through them when the waiter came by to ask how things were -- and we told him. He was chagrined and kindly offered to get us two new servings...we declined as that felt wasteful and would have left our dinner guests watching is eat. Not sure I can try again as I had been looking forward to something much better....like before. So disappointed.

Natasha R.

Yelp
The fresh made pasta was absolutely amazing !!! Highly recommend their papadarelle pasta with sausage and sautéed greens topped with shaved Parmesan! After dinner you must ask for an Affogato. Espresso drizzled over vanilla gelato! Yummmmmm

Emma B.

Yelp
The gluten-free pasta is absolutely perfect every time and the service is excellent. Our go-to date night spot!

Jenny M.

Yelp
This is for the bar area , atmosphere/ surrounding very cool I believe it used to be a bank . Only had a Caesar salad so it's hard to ruin a salad . Sometimes you are offered complimentary snacks whilst sitting at bar. But it's not consistent. One could be sitting @ bar with a drink & then next customer is offered complimentary snack and you are not . So this is not cool . I have stopped at bar area minimum once a week .

Jenny X.

Yelp
One of the top 5 most stunning restaurants I've ever seen, and the food was phenomenal so I'm honestly surprised to see only a 3.8 on Yelp! Service was prompt and courteous, the taste and presentation left nothing to be desired, and it was a great date night -- highly recommend!

L. G.

Yelp
I had a very nice lunch experience here. The service was friendly and warm. I ordered the pizza fritta. I hadn't had it or anything like it before but I enjoyed it. It reminded me a little of fry bread. It was a chill environment and I felt relaxed and not rushed at all.

Elsie F.

Yelp
Wow! The food at this restaurant was truly amazing!! We started out with the mussels which were fresh and delicious. Then my husband had the gnocchi with sausage and pomodoro sauce. I had the same except I requested pappardelle pasta instead of the gnocchi. Both dishes were mouth watering delicious. We ended with a yummy chocolate cake. Yum yum! The service was outstanding!! Highly recommend eating here.

T S.

Yelp
I thought the food was amazing. The noodles are homemade and Al dente. Devin had several tables but was on top of it. I would go back again for sure. The cannoli was refreshing with a lemon taste. They give you two which was a lot. Very reasonable and delish. I highly recommend.

Kaelen W.

Yelp
Great experience would stop in for dinner. The food here at this restaurant is very good and it was some of the best food I have personally tasted. The cola here is also some of the best I have tasted in my life. The best place to sit is inside because fewer people sit indoors and the tables are spaced out well so it's not so loud that you can't hear your conversation. The service here is the best because the staff are very friendly and nice and very helpful as well. The staff here at this location are very well-trained and professional. The location is very clean because after people sit at the tables the staff clean the tables immediately. For the reasons I have stated in this review, I highly recommend you visit this restaurant because you will get good results.

Deanna S.

Yelp
Bartenders were great. Able to get in to bar when they were pretty busy and enjoyed sitting there to watch lots of action! Bartender prepares app where cuts meats and cheese. They made their own pasta which was amazing! Great time!

Jocelyn L.

Yelp
OMG this food was to die for!!!! I had a mushroom pasta & my friends had gnocchi & spaghetti and meatballs. We were all blown away by the flavors. We also ordered 2 orders of bread & garlic, we had wished the garlic was blended into the oil but the way it came was good too. The service was great, our server Justin was awesome, super friendly. The ambiance was also great, it was very relaxing in here because of the dim lights. We greatly enjoyed ourselves and wish we lived closer to go again. Highly recommend coming here!!

Noelle L.

Yelp
We had such a fun, delicious evening here. Our waiter was terrific - funny, attentive - the food was really great, drinks good, wine perfect with what we were eating. Got great recommendations for all and just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves start to finish. Papardelle with sausage and fennel cream was amazing; mussels delicious; salads really fresh and tasty. Really, everything was spot on. We ordered a bunch and shared - portions were great. Prices too - a great value all around. Will be back for sure!

Peter K.

Yelp
Went here this week. Service 5/5. Servers were great. Friendly and efficient. Food 3/5. Had chicken parm. I make better. Gravy slightly better than chef Boyardee. The breading was fine and the chicken itself wasn't dry. Garlic bread was solid. Drinks 5/5. Solid. Physical space -5/5. Heat wave. No ac. High ceilings that trapped heat. Other restaurants in town didn't seem to have this issue. When the food came so did the swarm of flies. It was brutal and disgusting and not for an at it's best a 6/10 chicken parm. Owner (?) was a little flippant over it - I wouldn't be - I would be grateful you got anyone to show up and spend $ at your sauna.

Stacey B.

Yelp
I want to start by saying that overall, the food was good. The pasta was delicious and well made. However, the service we received last night was appalling. We are from out of town and saw the reviews and menu while having a drink at another restaurant and decided to give it a try. my boyfriend walked over to pascolo's in case we could get a bar seat as it was a busy Saturday night. I waited at the first restaurant in case he couldn't. When he got to Pascolo's the bartender told him he could sit at the bar as there were plenty of open bar seats. She got him two waters, and two menus. When I walked over about 10 min later, the hostess said "Excuse me, you cannot sit there". I told her I was meeting my boyfriend at the bar and received "Yes and he sat there without my permission" The hostess made my boyfriend get up and told us the bar seats were reserved and that we needed to wait. I want to add that the same person who sat my boyfriend at the bar, also sat a party of three in the bar area who arrived after him and did not have a reservation but they were allowed to remain, while we were told to leave and get on a wait list. Despite this embarrassing and strange situation, we agreed to be added to the wait list and walked around Church St for 30 minutes. When we got the alert to come back, the hostess sat us at the exact same bar which still had several empty seats. The entire exchange left us with a bad taste in our mouths but I still wanted to try the food. When we did sit down, we ordered drinks, a salad and two pasta dishes. Not once, throughout over an hour wait, were we asked if we wanted another drink despite our empty glasses. The bartenders were clearly frustrated and not very friendly. The pasta took so long that we asked for it to go and still had to wait. As we were waiting, the bartender got off her shift, sat down at the bar and ordered a meal which she got before we got ours. The general attitude of the wait staff was that they were over worked and unhappy. We both felt so disrespected by the entire experience, I would not recommend this place despite the good food.

Claudia R.

Yelp
Great food, great service and super cool vibe there. Recommend this place for sure. Pretty good wine selection too.

Laura B.

Yelp
the restaurant was beautiful. the staff were lovely! the food was just ok. my father's gnocchi was not fully cooked. some of our food arrived cold. i didn't say anything because my parents do not like to make a fuss.

Dan G.

Yelp
Nice old bank building but the food was just OK. I had the chicken Parm and to be honest both the chicken and the pasta were pretty lacking of taste. I found it to be a bit pricey for the quality of the food.

VT M.

Yelp
Food and service were top notch. High ceilings and cool atmosphere. Reminds me of Grand Central station or something. Don't believe the low rating, try it for yourself.

Richard C.

Yelp
Good service but poor quality food and overpriced.. We had a sort of calzone that was undercooked and with almost no stuffing. Tourist trap.

Noah Y.

Yelp
Best bolognese ever!! The chicken parm sandwich was amazing as well. Went for lunch and will go back for dinner.

Marshall W.

Yelp
Terrible experience. The mussels were bland and luke warm, the calamari was luke warm. Got a mushroom pasta dish that was luke warm as well. Homeless people wandering around on the street outside. The only thing decent was our server. Would not go back, way overpriced for food that tasted like plastic.

Yuanyuan F.

Yelp
High-quality Italian restaurant with great consistency. Good service and well executed dishes. Pastas here are house made and super delicious. Pizzas are no longer on the menu after they moved to the new/current location (early 2023) due to lack of a wood fire oven in the new kitchen. I'll forever miss there hand tossed pizzas. Still, top-notch casual fine dining place in downtown Burlington.

Claudia G.

Yelp
Fantastic dining environment. Great service and delicious cuisine. If you sit outside you can people watch and enjoy live music too.

Elise P.

Yelp
The Italian salad was disgusting to say the least. The dressing was barely even there and it didn't help to cover up the horrible texture of the lettuce that I could barely bite down on. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was quite good, but nothing special about it. The Diet Coke, although told to me, would taste like normal Diet Coke, tasted far different. Personally, I prefer to have the taste of cancerous aspartame so if you are similar, I would pass on the "Diet Coke."

S W.

Yelp
Bolognese will be best you've ever had. Bartending spot on. Complimentary bar snacks were a nice treat. Chocolate torta, you will never have anything better. Hate to say it but dining experience better than Mott St.

Rhiannon G.

Yelp
Always a nice visit- In the fall of last year I visited their previous location, I sat at the bar with my friend and got Focaccia and dessert. It was quiet, easy going, and a great time. I ended the night with their Chocolate Torte, it's super rich and fulfilling for chocolate lovers, and the raspberry sauce cuts thru the richness nicely. Recently, I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner and it was lovely, the ambiance of the new location is amazing, it's brighter and feels a little more casual. To my surprise they no longer offer their house made focaccia, so I started with the Garlic Parmesan Bread which had replaced it, it's so good I brought the extras home! A great change that packs in a lot of flavor. I was a bit dissatisfied with the amount of vegetarian friendly entrees, but I was still very happy with what I chose, I got the Gnocchi Sorrentina, and I believe those on the picky-er side would be happy with the dish as well as it's essentially only pasta, cheese, and red sauce. My boyfriend got the Sirloin Steak, and it's a really well put together dish, I tried the Broccolini it came with and would for sure order it as a side next time I go, I recommend it! By the end of the meal they offered Tiramisu or Chocolate Torte on the house for his birthday, he chose the Tiramisu which they stuck a little lit candle in, and our server (and server in training) wished him well birthday wishes and went on their way, kept it very lowkey which I prefer. I'm excited for my next visit, it's one of those restaurants where you leave full, and with a smile.

Yelp
Decent fare, slow service, small portions. Rigatoni Bolognese was good but just barely enough for dinner. Caprese is very skimpy, 3 thin slices of cheese.
