This restaurant was outstanding from start to finish. The meal began with delicious bread that set the tone for the rest of the experience. The soup of the day—a beetroot soup—was bursting with amazing flavor. The chicken curry risotto was unlike anything I’ve tried before, truly unique and memorable. For dessert, the almond orange cake was perfectly executed, one of the rare places that gets it just right. The service was also excellent; we had no issues at all, unlike what some other reviewers mentioned. I’d recommend this place wholeheartedly, even on my deathbed!

Wow! This place is fantastic! We have been staying in town for several days and gone to the best rated restaurants but this is the best - by far! The staff were incredible, especially the woman who greeted and served us, she was very friendly and genuine. The large sideroom is so cozy with wood and large windows. There was a wonderful singer and guitar player which only added to the evening. Everything we ordered was truly delicious but the highlights were definitely the black hake(fish) which we had two different ways, the pumpkin sage and hazelnut risotto and the awesome crab ceviche. To top it off, the chocolate volcano and the berry crumble were excellent. Everything about this restaurant was phenomenal and we would recommend it to anyone.

We’ve been travelling in Argentina for two weeks, and this is the best restaurant we’ve tried! The food and the service is excellent! Definitely worth a visit.

Google
The best restaurant I have visited on this, my second trip to South America. The team are very friendly, the wine and gin excellent and the food sublime. I went twice in the week I stayed in Ushuaia and have recommended it to others I have met.

Google
Fantastic experience and the waiter was very attentive as well. The food was delicious as exquisite. For desert we had the Vulcan cake that, as the name suggests it was melting.

This is a really nice restaurant. I tried a gin & tonic that I asked the efficient and serious server to prepare to his taste. He brought me Towwora gin with berries, really nice. I had the lamb meatballs and my daughter the penne with prawns and chorizo, a bit spicy. There was hardly anyone at the time we went (7:30pm) but most of the ables were reserved. In all it was nice. Low on salt food, like in most places in Argentina or Uruguay these days. Ohhh we had the chocolate volcano with dulce de leche for dessert and it was good.

We wandered in wanting something warm and delectable and that is exactly what we got. Absolutely delectable. Flavors were spectacularly crafted in the entrées and the soup. A lovely selection of wine as well. Our waiter David was professional and charming. My husband usually makes fun of me when I do Google reviews, but he said this restaurant was off the charts amazing!

Yelp
Excellent food. Considerable variety in the menu offerings. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Prices within reason. Conveniently located. Pleasant atmosphere.

Yelp
Wonderful venue with large windows letting in the natural light late at night (December). The food was delicious - I especially loved the handmade pasta with lamb inside! Friendly service too. Much more interesting menu offering than the restaurants on the main street. We are so glad that we chose Paso Garibaldi.

Yelp
Came by here for dinner during our stay in Ushuaia a few months ago. We had originally wanted to go to another restaurant, so this restaurant was going to be our plan B option and we were glad that our original plan hadn't panned out as this place turned out to be pretty good. We got an order of their caprese to start and I got their asparagus and green pea risotto for my main. My partner opted for their merluza negra (black hake) dish instead, and we got a couple of drinks as well. The caprese was not bad, but not unlike any caprese we've ever had as it used the same kind of non-mozzarella cheese that's found in so many other Argentine dishes in lieu of mozzarella, lol. My risotto was great though, and my partner thought his fish was fantastic. This place is a little more upscale, as it wasn't exactly a cheap meal, but it was tasty and it felt a little less touristy than other places nearby. Worth checking out if you want to get away from the larger tourist crowds.

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere, nice music on the background, affordable wine, nice servers. I was glad the waiter told us the salad was enough for two people and it was . I would definitely recommend this place. Food prices super affordable.

Yelp
Wonderful, romantic dining. Crab ravioli and grilled vegetable salad were both awesome! Servers were very attentive. A must go to for a great dinner. Prices were great too! Plenty of options for everyone.

Yelp
No podían tener muchas mesas adentro. De hecho, les dijimos y no les importo, dijeron que nos habían avisado por teléfono y era mentira. Un desastre.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance is amazing. This is a hidden gem you must try. Staff is very attentive. We loved it so much we spent out last night in Ushuaia here.

Yelp
We came here based on a recommendation and I'm glad we did. I appreciated the focus on sustainability and the clever signage posted throughout. Food was amazing, I had the king crab ravioli which was coated in the delicious white sauce. Others tried the beet soup and the gnocchi which they also enjoyed. Only downfall of this place is the service (which I could look past because of all of the other +'s), it felt like tourists were not particularly the ideal clientele.

Yelp
Waiter with an attitude. Told him. Owner hears the conversation, BTW no one was screaming or cursing, shows up, puts his face in my face, threatens to beat me up and kicks us out. To avoid any further altercations- apparently this was going to become a physical one-we got up and were voluntarily leaving. This was not enough for this guy. He followed us to the front door, and stated again that he would give me a beating if my wife and daughter were not present. Regardless of what side of the story you hear, a restaurant owner should not threaten to assault a customer for having an issue with a server. Even the server looked shocked and embarrassed about the owner's reaction. I was there with my wife, daughter and son in law. It took a lot of restraint but did not want to have a fight in a foreign country. The consequences would have been worse. Diners beware: owner will personally assault you if you misbehave - LOL.

Yelp
Paid Garibaldi is incredible. It was recommended to me from my dive buddy, a local who works at Ushuaia Divers! 10/10 food and environment. We had a bottle of Pinot noir from Patagonia, king crab Ravioli with a delicious leek cream sauce, and king crab soup. Absolutely will be returning. Service was also GREAT!

Yelp
We lucked on to this little restaurant when we were here in March, 2020. Yes, it was the very beginning of the COVID pandemic, and we were being sent home rather than boarding a ship to Antarctica. Still, we enjoyed a delicious dinner. So we are trying again to see the southernmost continent and didn't want to miss Paso Garibaldi. As before, the service was excellent and the food superb. I had the gnocchi, perfect. My husband had a pork dish with berries and leeks and delicious sauce, an outstanding dish. We couldn't pass up dessert, a chocolate volcano with cream ice cream. Mmm.

Yelp
What a lovely meal. From the first moment we entered we had a great time and wonderful service. We dined on some fabulous pasta with seafood and a saffron cream and crab dish. Started the meal with some delicious shrimp. The service was wonderful. Cozy spot. $$$

Yelp
There is a reason the little old ladies in my tour group insisted we go here becuase it was the #1 recommendation on Trip Adviser. IT WAS AMAZING. A small place, I think I saw about a dozen tables? They take reservations, and luckily our little group fit in on a whim. They served a small treat as a welcome, orange juice with martini foam. The fresh bread went well with our bottle of wine. I had the lomo (Filet) - it was thick, cooked perfectly and possibly some of the best steak I had in Argentina. The potatoes were creamy, and the sauce was tangy but still had that gravy feel that felt comforting. Others in my group had ravioli and ojo de bife (ribeye) - it all looked delish. There was a fresh berry tart with housemade lemon rum ice cream. Mmmmm, That was perfection. Wonderful service in a little Argentine/Italian sort of place at The End of the World. Absolutely recommend.

Yelp
Small Italian restaurant that is casual and friendly. Both waiters were attentive, helpful and friendly. I ordered the potato gnocchi with sausage in tomato sauce. It was perfectly cooked and the sausage was excellent. Also liked that there was a good amount of sausage that balanced the gnocchi. Next time I will have to try their desserts. Highly recommend

Yelp
Omg - so good! We came in on our last night in Ushuaia. Started with the melted provolone - it was a large thin circle of lightly fried cheese with a pesto olive oil. Amazing! The bread and pesto cream cheese was a great treat as well. I had the sausage and gnocchi which was amazing - the gnocchi couldn't have been more perfect. My husband ordered the trout which was fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was very friendly and location was easy to get to. Only disappointed that we didn't discover this place sooner.

Domenick B.

Yelp
Really fantastic dinner - crab appetizer was world class, risotto was terrific, fish was fresh, tasty, and cooked perfectly, as were interesting assortment of veggies, and everything on the local specialty combination plate was tasty and artful. Panna cotta also checked all the boxes (right consistency, not too sweet). Lots of pasta options and wine options on the menu we didn't get to. Very friendly, efficient wait staff. Very impressive.

Yelp
This was our first night in Ushuaia. We had the Ensalada Canal (steak salad), Grilled Provolone and the king crab tortellini with shrimp. Salad was good, tortellini was very good, plenty of crab, good pasta, several large shrimp and well cooked. We didn't care that much for the provolone, super salty olives and sundries tomatoes. We had the apple pie for dessert, was piping hot. Cortadito coffee was great and wine by the glass was a generous pour and decently priced. Only complaint...Time to get the check from dessert order was 45 minutes. Staff spoke English and there were "English" translations on the menu. (pumgking was our favorite, second runner up "worm apple pie"). Good pick for the cost.

Yelp
Seating in the enclosed "out dining room" was delightful and pleasant. The long list of gin & tonics was impressive. The gin & tonic w/ Buenos Aires gin was citric and wonderful. The onion soup was similar to a French onion soup but less cheese, a nice piece of bread and more muted flavors. The ravioli w/ king crab & prawns was magnificent. I ate it very slowly & savored every bite. My guests were equally delighted. (My guests were not so happy with their salad. An error occurred on the meat topping.) The pricing was fair. The wait staff were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and fun. The atmosphere, the gin & tonics, the daily soup, the ravioli and the volcano chocolate deserts exceeded our expectations. Finally, remember to add on a tip for the wait staff.

Yelp
Awesome! Absolutely the best king crab ceviche I've ever had. The king crab pasta was delicious as well. I loved it so much I dined here a few times while in Ushuaia.

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing. I loved the whole decor. The food was so delicious. The Ceviche was to die for. The Tooth Fish was so ...... no words for it. It is a must! But depending on the time you are there you will probably need reservations!

Yelp
We had a lovely time here and a good meal. We got the lemon seabass, which we loved, and a seafood stew, which was okay. The ambience was great. We are English speakers, and we were served by an English-speaking waitress until it came time to pay. At that point, she was nowhere to be found, and someone who only spoke Spanish, or possibly who pretended to only speak Spanish, came to tell us our 10% gratuity was not enough. Everything we read in advance, and our prior 12 days of experience in Argentina, indicated 10% was a respectable tip, but we were pressured into 16%. The next night, at a different restaurant, we followed suit and gave a 16% tip, and the waiter was exceptionally grateful, almost stunned by the percentage. His reaction confirmed for us that we were taken advantage of at Paso Garibaldi.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! We had a local wine with king crab soup and beef. Service staff were pleasant and professional. The inside of the restaurant is unique, awesome, and well decorated. The prices are very fair. Would definitely go back and recommend!

Yelp
Excellent service, presentation, wine options, regional dishes. Cute cozy space. I really like everything about it and the meal I ordered (ojo with chimichurri). Giving it a 4 and not 5 because the beef wasn't tender, although this seems to be the case all over Argentina.

Yelp
Hands down the best restaurant out of all the restaurants I've tried in Argentina in 3 months. This place is small and a couple blocks away from the main tourist street in Ushuaia so you have to look for it, but it is totally worth it. Everything is homemade, the service is fast and friendly (super rare in Argentina), the quality is superb and the price is fair. I had the onion soup (amazing) and the pasta (phenomenal), which were both cooked to perfection and I would consider myself a pasta connoisseur. I only wish they were open for lunch! (They're only open for dinner I believe). 100% recommend it, this place needs to be bumped up in the list on Yelp. Check it out on TripAdvisor too

Yelp
Really good food. Had an amazing king crab ceviche which was a good value. Also the merluza negra was good (but very overpriced, almost twice the price of any other entree). Overall the ambience was nice. Service was slow, which contrasted with them being somewhat annoyed that we arrived 15 mins late or so after the time of the reservation. But overall we had good quality food and I enjoyed the meal and the ambience. I had two problems though: they forgot to place the order of one entree. After they served everybody else they realized it and apologized. But the last entree arrived 15 mins after the rest of us finished eating. They were not nice enough to not charge us that entree or invite us to a desert or something. Also, my young daughter (8) wanted something simple. We asked if she could get penne with butter. They were reluctant but accepted to prepare that at the end. When we got the check, we noticed that they charged us as a penne with king crab entree without clarifying it beforehand.

Yelp
This restaurant is nothing less than the best place I have been in ages. My dad and I came for dinner on a weeknight, and we couldn't have been more amazed at the experience! The waiters were so attentive and experienced that we never had to even refill our own glasses, much less ask for things like salt or bread refills. Though there were only two waiters for the whole restaurant, everyone was well-attended; our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a great wine to accompany our dinner. Our food was exquisite- fresh seafood that was all piping hot and perfectly seasoned! Our dessert was, again, nothing less than pure magic. The quality of the food combined with the sophisticated yet casual ambiance is a combination unsurpassed by any restaurant I have yet to try. I would without hesitation recommend this restaurant to any hungry tourist (or local)!

Yelp
The seafood here is absolutely great. Get off the main drag a couple of blocks and you come to this little place. Great ambience, the staff is friendly, and the wine is good. Try the lobster casserole, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Absolutely Astonishing and unexpectedly high quality of food (we ordered fish and shellfish) and wine. Friendly, competent and ambitious staff. Unquestionable value for money.

Yelp
Wonderful, interesting food and great service. I peaked in the kitchen and it was immaculate.
