Staff was very friendly and professional. |Easy check in and checkout. |We were celebrating our anniversary and the call to make sure we received our wine. They were so nice to give us a bottle of wine.|It was a great stacation!|Easy access to everything we wanted to do. We went to Senserio, Tin City and beautiful downtown with shops, wine tasting, bars and restaurants.

My wife and I were blown away with the attention to every detail in the room. This stay was a night and day when compared to our experience the previous week in another Hotel. Thanks to all the friendly staff from the front desk, to the valet to the room service personnel and the servers at the steakhouse. Well done everyone!

Very small rooms, no place to put your stuff or even sit. Bathroom needs towel bars instead of that ladder, room A/C air vent never goes off even when A/C is off, fan in bathroom sounds like a jet airplane and no way to turn off when all lights are on, comforter on bed was very heavy and no regular blanket in room, need to be a genius to figure our the light switches and lamp on end table had no way to turn it on. |Ate at the restaurant for breakfast and lunch, someone needs to teach them how to make a sandwich, it was a mess and the lettuce in salad was not fresh.

My wife got a great deal through her teacher online savings portal and the whole experience was fantastic! This place is next to the square downtown but is tranquil, relaxing, and beautiful! There is a small pool and hot tub, hourly bike rentals (uses an app), both steak and coffee houses on premises and a bar above the steakhouse. While there is no on-site fitness facility, the inn contracts with the nearby (~1.5 miles away) Kennedy fitness center and provides passes upon request at the front desk (bring a towel and combo lock if desired to the fitness center, they aren’t provided free). Each room has an AC / heater split unit which functions very well, and there is ample free self parking or valet parking if desired. There is complimentary wine tasting from 4-5 pm (daily, I believe, at The Piccolo, which is also on site). Great experience, I will definitely try to book here again when we come.

Great hotel, fantastic location. Rooms are beautiful and they have a stunning central courtyard with fire pits and comfy seating. Daily wine tasting and even cool rooftop bar.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Best location to walk everywhere. Rooms were wonderful (we were a group of 5 and booked a suite) Absolutely adorable with tons of room. Pristine grounds, friendly staff, fun bar and great outdoor spaces. A wonderful experience.

Love it there , loved our 1889 room and decor . It was lovely . Our dinner at steak house was good but not great , short staffed on Wednesday night . But love wine tasting and the Paso square And shopping. Great location 💕🥂

Google
Absolutely beautiful grounds! So relaxing and refreshing, like a little oasis in the middle of town. EXCELLENT customer service!! Rooms are clean and comfortable, excellent attention to detail. I just can’t say enough about it. We will definitely be staying there again!

Yelp
The location is unbeatable, right in front of the square in downtown Paso. The hotel itself is super pretty and the rooms have been recently renovated. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is super friendly. My two complaints: 1) pillows are super tall and hard, I had to use a towel as a pillow in both our stays. 2) toilet paper is like sandpaper - dang people - change your vendor or pay a little more for a charmin or cottonelle or whatever! Thank goodness I had wet wipes!

Yelp
Stayed here 9/19-9/21/25, booked through Amex Travel. Paid $500 per night. Trip was to celebrate my Wife completing successful medical treatments. Emailed property 3 times asking to purchase flowers and no response. Checked in @ 6pm , room was nice, at 7pm water was coming out of the ceiling. Called front desk twice and no answer, walked to check in and someone was there but not answering phone ? Told them we have standing water in bathroom, she said she'd send maintenance, when maintenance arrived we were told we had to evacuate the room and this room should have not been put back in service. They were aware there's a problem ? Moved our room and at 9pm we had to physically move our belongings ourselves. Next morning (new room) opened closet but door handle came off, it had been glued on. Went to sit on patio but a chair was missing, again called the front desk and no answer, walked down, same person told us maintenance has to bring the chair and she couldn't bring one. Told us maintenance is busy , at 4pm they gave us a second chair. That evening they had a dance party on the lawn area outside our patio with music blasting. Our relaxing weekend was a total miss. Lastly, we sent an email to the GM Erica Fryburger about all the issues, evidently she doesn't return calls or emails. We will never stay here again there are too many great places to stay in Paso. This place isn't one of them.

Yelp
We came here for one reason, the outdoor hot springs tub, enjoyed in the serene privacy of our own balcony. Located in the heart of Paso, just steps from the charming tree-lined historic square. Founded over 150 years ago it exudes an old-world charm, complimented by lush gardens filled with towering oak trees, fragrant roses, and koi-filled ponds. For added privacy we requested a second-floor room, though curtains are provided for those who prefer a more uninhibited soak. The Garden Studio was wonderful, with a comfy king bed, 55" screen for my man, convenient parking right out front our door, heated outdoor pool and hot tub, on-site dining options, and offers pet friendly rooms. Our stay was 5 stars in every way. I was just about to book a future stay when I learned that all hot springs tubs have been removed. What a disappointing loss and giving me no reason to ever return. Truly a bittersweet farewell to an experience that should have remained untouched.

Yelp
This hotel recently went through a remodel and it looks great! The rooms are more modern and the courtyard is more welcoming and relaxing to hang out in. They have fire pits, a coi pond, lawn games, and electric bikes you can use. They do have 2 EV chargers so those fill up quick. Lots of restaurants in walking distance and a Farmers market on the weekends right out front.

Yelp
2 night stay over Thanksgiving. It's fine, but overpriced for our room, which was in an updated motel block. The bathroom is fine. Beds were comfortable, we slept well. But one awkward chair -- no table -- in the room, where there was space for a nice sitting area. One chair on the small balcony. I guess we weren't meant to sit together. Rooms facing Spring Street have some road noise. Just too high a price for what it is. Will try another option next time we're in Paso, which is charming.

Yelp
Was here a few years ago and really enjoyed our stay. Wanted to come back, but truth be told they were going through major renovations which included the gardens and pool. When renovations were done, it was really costly. I was pleasantly surprised to get an email with affordable pricing and booked a room to surprise my wife. Room renovations and grounds were nice, though the layout is a tad odd. Beyond hangers, not sure where to put clothes. A small desk would also be nice. Had an issue with menu availability at The Steakhouse. Having reservations there, they should have made it clear we were stuck with the subpar Christmas menu. Should have walked. Was pleasantly surprised that our room was freshened up the first day, but found the door propped after housekeeper left. Lastly, the floor drain of the shower wasn't draining. Brought these issues up to attendant on check-out. Overall, if I can get similar pricing in the future I would stay here again. It would not be worth the nearly $400 a night price since renovations.

Yelp
When we ask for ice and they tell me they don't have the staff to bring it to us, that's absolutely ridiculous when we pay over $500 a night. Beautiful venue, horrible staff

Yelp
Anytime I'm able to spend time in this lovely part of California, is time well spent. Yes, downtown has gotten touristy over the years, but it's still a friendly, country vibe. Love the central park with its nice walkways and twinkling lights at night. Plenty of great restaurants and of course, no shortage of places to taste wine We stayed in the Paso Robles Inn and loved our refurbished room. Had a tasty dinner at Fish Goucho...a longtime favorite. Two thumbs up from our family for Paso Robles!

Yelp
So empty.... they charged us $900 for 2 nights. Room was dirty, they don't offer water, the AC does not work, and the bed is uncomfortable. Restaurant was empty but they still require a reservation. Cup of coffee was $13. Pool is very small and you can't play music. Looks big in pictures but it's tiny. Service is terrible. Don't look back. Steak is like leather. Too tough to even chew. Don't be fooled by pictures of the cabanas by the pool. The pool is tiny and full of little kids. And, they advertise a free wine tasting.... but it's a joke. They will send you to a different location where they will offer you one tiny sample of a cheap wine? Place is ridiculous. Don't waste your time or money.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed with our stay here this past weekend. Much of the property was under construction (which is fine, this happens), but for the price we paid, we did expect it to be a bit more comfortable for our animals. There was no grassy area, just a small corner of dirt under a tree with some poop bags. A different area of grass had chocolate brownies all over the ground - so we couldn't use that. The walls are really thin - so we could hear our neighbors answer the phone at 6:00am and hear the entire conversation as they spoke normally. I'm sure then that they heard us get up every 2 hours the entire night to let our puppy out to pee in the sad dirt corner. The service at reception was very friendly and that was probably the nicest bit .... Otherwise, I would definitely not stay here again despite the convenient location.

Yelp
Nothing is against the staffs but I guess this message to the owner. This place has downgraded by removing the hot tubs. I've booked a room through Hoppers (of course paid through Hopper). Upon arrival I was told $100 deposit in case of any damages, expecting I'll get back in full. But were charged $59.74 out of the $100 for the destination fee, parking plus tax. This should've included in the booking or explained upon checking in. Have stayed here couple times in the past but will never come back ever again.

Yelp
We stayed here for the night. We stayed in the king suite. The place and room was great. The reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is there were some discrepancies. The first being the bed was advertised as a king but was only a queen and the second was that it said there was a microwave but did not have one. The microwave is not as big a deal as paying for a king size bed only to be smaller. The pool and jacuzzi was nice. While in there another couple mentioned they were also expecting a king bed but had a queen. Overall, the workers were super nice, the place was clean, and super close to downtown for walking to places.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel in the heart of downtown Paso. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Lobby was cozy and stocked with inexpensive snacks you could enjoy by the fire, and the grounds were so serene. We stayed in a king fireplace room and it was absolutely perfect for our chilly December visit. The fire place served as the heater and was controlled by the thermostat, so it spent most of the time we were in the room on. We had a view of the pool and hot tub, unfortunately didn't make a trip down this time, but looked like a nice area with pretty landscaping. Truly such a great place to stay that's about as central as you can get. Loved that we were able to walk to breakfast and dinner everyday. You'll still need to drive to wineries unless you're just going to the downtown tasting rooms.

Yelp
Nope, not it... while it's clean and the grounds are super nice, overpriced, and they nickel and dime you. some dysfunctional front desk staff, The Steakhouse restaurant, not great, undercooked my 55.00 filet, pricy Super noisy Saturday and Sunday mornings with garbage trucks coming early AM. They really screwed over my buddy and his wife and they seem to not really care about issues like AC working properly when it's 90plus degrees outside we'll stay in SLO next time

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! We spent an overnight here for a birthday and a weekend of wine tastings in Paso Robles. I have been in many hotels and they all have something wrong with them. I really did not find any issues with Paso Robles Inn. It is a little bit higher on the price point for one night during the winter but the room was actually really nice. It seems as if the entire hotel has been updated, from the lighting, the bathrooms, the outlets, the pool/jacuzzi, and even the lobby. All up to date. Our room had a nice patio overlooking out into the center of the hotel where there is a fire pit, pool, jacuzzi, e-bikes, and hammocks. The hotel is also very central to all of downtown Paso Robles -- a charming small town USA with tons of boutiques, bars, lounges, and several restaurants all walking distance. They have in room Keurig coffee makers, robes, a fireplace, and gave us complimentary wine, and cookies to enjoy!! Above and beyond! We'd def look into this hotel if we return to Paso Robles! :-)

Yelp
Our go-to hotel stop anytime we head up the coast from hometown Ojai, at least once a year, especially in spring, to check out wildflowers. The grounds are always well manicured and colorful, the hot tub is hot, the waterfalls relaxing, and the updated rooms are clean and comfortable. Fish food is available in the lobby for the giant koi. I like a place with a bar and restaurant on the hotel grounds, and this place has both. Do not miss the brown butter cake at the Steakhouse, which overlooks the fish ponds from the patio.

Yelp
I stayed here with my wife, mother and sister for one night on our way up north to the Sierras. It is a lovely hotel. with ambience, character and history. The rooms, are not 'historic', they are in fact clean, modern and super comfortable with all the conveniences one expects at a new hotel.  The bonus of having a fine dining steakhouse on site is a huge plus. It happened to be our wedding anniversary the night we stayed there and the meal we enjoyed, just steps from our room, was excellent. It did seem to close quite early, we were the last ones there and we were unable to order dessert, but it was a Monday night off-season so I won't mark them down for that. It was unfortunate that the hotel was undertaking some upgrades to the property, so there was a lot of construction around the place and the parking was a bit naff. Again, it was the off-season and that is the time to make those upgrades so I wont mark down for that either. All in all a great place to stop for some Central Coast wine tasting, or to break up a longer trip north. Recommended.

Paul D.

Yelp
The location was great and so were the accommodations but beware they lied to us by telling us us that the added night was $199 when then charged us $249. After multiple attempts we never received a call or email from management to resolve the issue. I would never stay there again. Management will ignore you so be sure to check the folio when you check out to make sure it's correct.

Yelp
This is our second time staying in this facility. The first time it was a great experience second time not so great. The front staff members not very accommodating little rude. Also bed was super uncomfortable. Not sure if it hasn't been replaced in a long time, but there was a big dip in the middle. Not sure if we'll be staying here again. Felt bad because we came this weekend for my wife's birthday. Could've made it a little bit more memorable.

Yelp

Yelp
I really do like this place, it's convenient and clean. But lemme talk about the negatives. They should have a sign on their water bottles in the room that says they will charge $4 per bottle. I drank two of them thinking they were free, but they are not, so just beware. The carpets could use serious rug cleaning. And the lighting in the room could be much warmer. All of the lights are a bright blue and not very relaxing, so I just left most of the lights off except for one table lamp. And while I'm on the subject of lighting, the grounds could use someone with a good eye to do some nice landscape lighting. The entire grounds are light with a few large security lights, and it just looks ugly.

Yelp
I love this hotel I like the location you can walk to all the restaurants in the bars. It's the best place in town.

Yelp
Absolutely a fantastic stay in downtown Paso Robles for a work weekend trip for. The inn is a block away from the local court and many of the downtown restaurants. Their steakhouse is really good and I enjoyed my steak. Cooked perfectly medium rare. I stayed at the Pittsburgh Pirates room. Apparently in the 20's and 30's the team would train here during the spring and would use the local hot springs to recover after a game. Really cool history!!! The room was really nice and more like four star amenities. Had an outside backyard with a jacuzzi which was very relaxing. A roll out sofa bed in the kitchenette area at the front of the room. This in is perfect for extended stays in the central coast area. I love Paso!
google avatar

Yelp
We liked the spacious room, spa bathroom, freshly redone decor, coupled with a great location.

Yelp
Rude staff at check in, there is a charge for parking, and this was never mentioned. Rooms are small and very cramped.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed with our stay at the Paso Robles Inn. We booked a Deluxe Spa King room based on the room description and photos on their website. The hotel's location downtown, proximity to nearby things-to-do, and vintage feel made it ideal to celebrate my wife's birthday weekend. Looked great! The rooms looked cozy and well-appointed, with plenty of amenities on-property. A few days before our trip, I got a call informing me that we would not be able to be accommodated in the Deluxe Spa King room we had reserved - but hey, how about a Deluxe Spa Double Queen? Alright... no big deal. My wife might enjoy being able to stretch out in her own bed. I'll start with the positives. The bedroom looks very much like the photos. The spa was nice to be able to sit in and relax, and the curtains on the patio allowed us some privacy. You could tell the room had been recently updated. Now the issues... What we weren't told is that the Deluxe Spa Double-Queen we were assigned to was, in fact, the ADA room. A little bit more space in the bedroom, but holy smokes - the bathroom. The bathroom was spartan, to say the least. Large and open to facilitate access for wheelchairs, but that leaves it with a very commercial feel. No art, no color, no nothing... just a tiny single vanity tucked into one corner, the toilet tucked into another, a small table containing towels, robes, and toiletries, and the tiniest bathtub/shower combo I have ever seen on the opposite wall. My voice echo'd in that bathroom. We found there wasn't much table space in the room - my keys and wallet went on the mantle, as did the bottles of wine we brought with us to enjoy in the room. Things we would ordinarily put on a desk or dresser instead piled in front of the TV. The single trashcan for the entire room was located in the bathroom behind the toilet. The mattresses were very firm and not very comfortable for either of us. The walls are thin - we could hear the conversations our neighbors were having or what they were watching on TV. We could also hear the upstairs neighbors walking around their room. Halfway through our stay we got back from our afternoon to find a large construction dumpster had been dropped off and now occupied half the parking spaces in front of our building, forcing us to park in another lot. Finally, on the last day, we awoke to construction noise beginning a few minutes before 7:00 am on a day we had planned to sleep in and take it easy. Instead, we packed up quickly and left. We had hoped for a nice relaxing weekend in a quiet, comfortable room. Bad luck and poor timing, I guess. A for effort, D- on execution. I wish I could say we'd be back, but I don't think we will.

Yelp
What a lovely, relaxing few days I had at the Paso Robles Inn! I wanted to take a little relaxing getaway between my old job ending and a new one beginning, and decided to use the time to explore Paso Robles. I was seeking a bit of a spa experience and while the full-service hotel and spa packages at other locations were too pricey for me, I was able to create an affordable and wonderful experience with the Paso Robles Inn! First of all, the staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helped me not only plan my trip but ensure the entire experience was wonderful! From my first silly email that said I was "celebrating" my recent divorce, to my request for spa services, and making sure I had a dog-friendly spa room. When I first tried to book, there were no spa rooms that were dog friendly. I called the hotel to book directly, and they helped me secure a ground floor spa room that my pooch could also enjoy. When I emailed the hotel about my "celebration" and inquiring about nearby spas, Lauren was extremely helpful and I was able to get a spa reservation at the nearby Spa Central Coast (see my review of them too, they're WONDERFUL!) and she even had a bottle of wine waiting for me to celebrate my newfound freedom and new job. She truly went above and beyond for me and I am so grateful! They also had a virtual concierge/assistant that I didn't realize was a real person! I asked it many questions about food, check out times, and general hotel questions and they were extremely helpful. Definitely use this service if you stay here, it was pretty cool. The spa rooms are all themed as local wineries, which was a lovely touch. The outdoor jacuzzi was a wonderful way to relax and sip on some local wine in the chilly fall air. This truly made the experience for me, and I am so happy I was able to get one of these rooms. Plus the fireplace was nice and cozy, my pup slept curled up next to it each night. There is an outdoor communal hot tub and pool which I did not explore, but I'm sure is great if you have no in-room spa. The location cannot be beat either. It's located right on the town square, with great access to local food, tasting rooms, and nightlife. I will say the one downside is that there is no food on site (aside from some snacks in the lobby) on Mondays and Tuesdays, and no room service, so if you're looking to have a low key night in you'll want to take advantage of DoorDash or Uber Eats. Unfortunately, I was staying Monday and Tuesday, so I didn't get a chance to experience the restaurant. Though I am a vegetarian, and it's a Steak House, so I don't know that I would have enjoyed it much had it been open (I'm sure it's great for omnivores though, lol). The hotel is also a bit old and I can see where it could use some updates, but for a budget traveler such as myself it was perfect. I will definitely be returning to this adorable little town and absolutely be staying at the Paso Robles Inn again!

Yelp
Decided to get away to Paso Robles for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. We chose this hotel primarily because the hotel is located downtown opposite the square. You definitely pay premium rates for the location. Our check in was very clinical, and the person checking us in made a point to tell us that we are full occupancy. Our room was as we would expect. The lights in the bathroom and the vanity were not working. This made it extremely inconvenient for us to use the bathroom. We tried to phone the front desk to let them know but there was no answer. We did go to the front desk and let them know but unfortunately they did nothing to rectify this defect, or for that matter even make an attempt to change our room. Our room was not serviced on the following day, and when we got back in the night I tried to call the front desk, but there was no response. There was no coffee and tea refilled, the cups and the glasses were left uncleaned. It was very obvious that the room was not cleaned. This is disappointing and unacceptable. We brought this to the attention of the front desk, and Im not sure whether it even registered with them, as there was no follow up. Our breakfast meals were good both days except the Avocado toast. The avocado mash was dark green and blackish, which shows that it was probably made the previous day and definitely not fresh. The Salmon Benedict was outstanding and I can highly recommend this. Our servers at Breakfast each day were wonderful. On check out, I was disappointed that the person at the desk did not address the room issues, and just said that I have noted it in your reservation. I also cordially asked about the destination charge on my bill, and received a very vague explanation. I fail to understand the additional tax on the destination charge, especially if you say you are adding this charge for so called extra activities that the hotel offers such as yoga, etc. For people like myself who don't avail of these activities it just becomes another hotel scam to charge guests more. Regarding the tax on it, come clean and say its a $40 charge, rather than $35 and then adding tax. Never seen this before at any hotel that we have stayed in. I have seen resort charges, parking charges, etc. but never a vague charge like the one this hotel levies you with. We tried not to let the bad hotel experience get in the way of our anniversary getaway celebration, and overall had a wonderful few days in Paso Robles.

Yelp
Took a quick trip to Paso and stayed one night at Paso Robles Inn. The front desk staff was working on something when we arrived but they promptly put that aside and greeted / welcomed us. It was our anniversary and we were gifted a bottle of red wine to help us celebrate. Our room was on the second floor. It was on the small side , but comfortable and clean. The automatic fireplace was a very nice and cozy touch. The bathroom wasn't anything special. It actually felt a little dated. Our room was right across the Pool área. There were kids swimming and yelling till later in the evening but not past 10pm. I will certainly return and next time book a room with a private jacuzzi. We walked by them , and they looked really neat. The grounds were clean and beautiful. Lounge chairs , hammocks/ swings and tables are scattered throughout for guest use. They have EV charging (2) The hotel is in prime downtown location. Within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, music, wine tasting rooms and much more. The park is also right across the street.

Yelp
This hotel has some pluses and minuses but overall deserves a good review. The location is excellent and the ambience is lovely. It is essentially an updated motel style property, and the layout of the main buildings, the small pool, the lobby layout etc all reflects that. However it is nicely styled and updated and does well in levelling up. I stayed in the renovated 1889 house rooms which are undeniably GORGEOUS, remarkably spacious and comfortable. At first I was allocated room 1212 which is above the building's a/c system. Be warned. Given this unit was noticeably loud and switching on and off during the day, I knew it would drive me crazy at night, and so requested a room change. My next room had an issue, but it was quickly resolved by engineering and I had a great stay. The staff were run off their feet on a weekend and it was clear they don't have enough staff for the property size - something that seems to afflict most hospitality business these days. With that said, the staff was excellent and very responsive, courteous and helpful. They provided a level of service that was commendable under pressure.

Sue M.

Yelp
We booked a Grand Ballroom with Spa - King and we were given a small room in an overflow building overlooking the parking lot and gas station. We had booked the room type we did so that we could enjoy the balcony with spa overlooking the gardens. Unfortunately the desk staff was unable or unwilling to assist us, so the entire stay was rather disappointing. We then had dinner in the Cattlemen's Lounge. The lack of service continued as we waited for a waitress and then for our meal. The food was lackluster at best. We won't return.

J K.

Yelp
Very disappointed in our room. It was dirty and run down. The bathroom was freezing and the heater was high up on the wall and blowing on the bed. We had a horrible night sleep. It was not cheap to stay there and we didn't feel like it was worth what we paid. It felt more like a motel to us. I emailed customer support and got back a disappointing response.

George K.

Yelp
They downgraded our room to a lesser one without balcony. They gave us a room up stairs without an elevator-- were old. They promised a valet would meet us at the stairs -- no one showed up. No hand soap in bathroom. tried to call front desk -- no one answered. Keurig coffee maker did not work. Air conditioning did not work -- freezing! NO Fox News on tv. The restaurant was terrible. Both service and bad food. The one plus was the bar -- had a good time there.

Yelp
Another successful trip to Paso. Staying at the inn is such a special treat. The Central Park is across the street and downtown eateries and wine rooms are so easily accessible. Check in is quick. Check out is ez pz. The garden courtyard is just so relaxing and with cool nights you can find yourself chatting until 9pm easily. Vicky our virtual host check in occasionally. Rooms are clean and spacious. The one grip the AC unit is rather loud. But hey they gave us ear plugs. We have such a good time visiting the AC is not a problem.

Yelp
The Paso Robles Inn is my first choice when I am heading to Paso Robles. I've stayed here over a period covering 30+ years, and it just gets better and better. The grounds are well kept and lovely. The rooms are always being upgraded and modernized. The staff are friendly, helpful and always willing to answer questions and give recommendations. My wife and I have stayed in the regular rooms, but really enjoy the deluxe spa rooms, which have a private deck or patio with your own spa tub. Great for relaxing in with a glass of local wine after a day of exploring the area! Each room also has a gas fireplace heater for even more intimate ambiance. The rooms are large, comfortable with a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. A wine opener and 2 wine glasses help you enjoy the local wine in style. Bathrooms are very large and well appointed. There are plenty of towels, and they are the huge, thick, fluffy white kind! Each spa room also has a pair of thick, warm robes so you won't get cold on the trip to your patio spa tub. A great place to stay.

Yelp
9 months later and here is my updated review. This is the letter I sent to management. We used the Paso Robles Inn as the host hotel for our daughter's wedding. We checked into room 908 on Thursday, September 7th. As we were unpacking, we noticed there was no dresser. We texted the desk and were told the drawers under the TV was the dresser. There were no drawers, just a credenza the TV was on. We cleared off the fireplace mantel and used it, and the table as a dresser. The coffee maker doesn't open all the way unless you pull it out and free of the shelf above it. Not wanting to be scalded by anything that fell, we moved it into the bathroom, much like a Motel 6. The grout in the shower is filthy. On Friday night, I received a notification that our passkey app on our phones expired. Not only did the app not work but neither did our card keys. I was given some story about 2 other rooms in our names, cancelled the card. I assure you, my sister (75 years old) and sister in law, who doesn't even possess a smart phone weren't using the app. We got new cards the next day. As you know, these rooms are not cheap. I was very disappointed. We received 3 drink tickets for the hotel bar that we never got to use because we were too busy with the wedding. Next, my daughter and fiancé/husband, were in a suite 1103. The suite smelled of gas when they got there and called for maintenance. The worker said sometimes, the previous occupants don't shut it off all the way. My daughter had to ask him to check it. Why else would he show up? They left windows open and gas seemed to dissipate. There were no more suites available, for the newlyweds, so they opted to stay. I walked into their room on Sunday, and the smell of gas was overpowering. They opened the slider. I guess they got accustomed to it. One of my daughter's bridesmaids walked it and she noticed it too. I'm really happy they didn't die from carbon monoxide. Lastly, until I talk to more guests. A friend checked in early on Saturday afternoon. When he parked his car, he noticed a used condom in the landscape in the parking lot. He warned his wife to be careful where she stepped and she pointed out another behind the car. Really? Does maintenance not notice any of this? What the heck is going on in the parking lot? This is our 2nd time at the Paso Inn. The first time was lovely, this time not so much. The grounds are amazing. The bar is fantastic. The staff, although not so helpful but apologetic are kind. We don't have anymore children, so we won't need a host hotel and we've seen a lot of Airbnb's that were less expensive and have everything we need. We won't be back. I'm not going to recommend this place either. I'm sad we spent so much money and were unhappy. Live and learn I guess.

Yelp
I have been using this inn for 10 years, several times per year but this may be my last time. It started with mixing up rooms I was given. The room I had had no hand soap with limited body wash on day 1 and no Kleenex on day two. The price was more than quoted in addition they began charging for parking which was never in 10 years done in the past 10 years. This a motel in a small town! With the service and extra fees, as well as some attitude when I old them about it, I think I will look elsewhere.

Yelp
I'm just rating them closest to what they already have (3.5 stars) because my experience with them is limited to their website. There are two types of hotels, in my opinion.... ones that have websites that let you browse around and look at what they have to offer and see how much their rooms cost. And ones like Paso Robles Inn that make you sacrifice your privacy just to look at their website. Here is the privacy policy that you must agree to in order to look at anything on their website... https://www.pasoroblesinn.com/privacy-policy Listen, I know many websites make you give up certain aspects of your privacy in order to be used. Paso Robles Inn's website says (in BIG type)... "Cookies are important to the proper functioning of a site." Then (in smaller type) they proceed to tell you how they also share your information with just about everyone else (who buys it) and that you will be targeted for future marketing and tons of other things you didn't really want. All this is what you have to sacrifice... just because you were thinking about using their hotel. There are MANY hotels that let you check out what they have to offer without all the BS. Some cookies are fine... but you should always be able to opt out of them. No hotel or restaurant needs to use cookies to make their website user-friendly. Third party cookies?? No way.

Yelp
What a gem! I absolutely loved this place and would 10000% come again. We booked a king room with the spa for 2 nights during the week, desperately wanting to get out of the smoky bay area. Check in is at 4pm but we arrived early, around 2pm, our room wasn't ready but we were told by the front lady that she'll call us when it is. We barely sat down for a late lunch and we already got the phone call that the room was ready! Checked in pretty fast. We got the Justin Winery room, it was huge (!) extremely clean and the terrace was superb, in front of it, there are these big rosemary bushes with a smell so incredibly fresh. Usually hotels that have a terrace, dont do a good job cleaning the outdoor furniture, but this place was spotless! We spent hours in the tub the first night we got here. The pool area has clean towels and they did a pretty good job at spacing out the lounge chairs and tables (with covid pretty much still a thing). We grabbed breakfast at their restaurant as well, very nice staff, great breakfast (had the breakfast sando -sooo good; and eggs benny) and plenty of coffee. The grounds are also very well kept! I loved our stay here!

Yelp
Came to Paso for a girls trip and stayed at Paso Robles Inn. The hotel is super charming and all rooms are recently renovated. It's in a prime location on the square in Paso near tons of restaurants, shops, and bars. The room decor is modern and the beds were very comfortable. We experienced great service at check in and throughout our stay. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Don't stay here.. the cleaning staff will steal your jewelry. I stayed here a couple months ago with my family. Paid for the expensive suites they had.... I still can't believe that I lost my wedding ring by staying at this hotel (had that ring for over 17 years!). I left my ring there after checking out... sure, that's my fault.... but I called the hotel and got a Wack-ass response, "We'll send an e-mail to the staff". I checked out a Saturday, called them Saturday Night... Fast forward to the following Tuesday and I still never got a response to if they "found my ring". I had to call the hotel daily to see if they found it.. eventually had to yell at the front desk and ask them for the house keeping manager's number. She was useless. What a communication disaster. I would NEVER stay at this hotel and recommend that people stay away! Its location is Rad, but the rest is just shitty.

Yelp
I almost never write a review on the spot. But I'll make an exception here. We are visiting friends in the beautiful town of Paso Robles. They recommended PASO ROBLES INN. He said to hurry because they were almost sold out. I hurried and secured my reservation. We arrived last night. They told us they don't service their rooms. Why? "Because of the drought." Wait, I thought we just had two weeks of intense rain that washed away our fears of drought here in California. Please. You're not cleaning rooms for your guests because of a drought?? When I asked about the rationale behind the no room service because of the drought - she started stammering and really couldn't put two words together. I just rolled my eyes, and then rolled my suitcase out of the lobby to our room. When we got to the room - no bueno. The carpet was visibly worn and stained and had that gross, deep-dirt look. The shower was a joke - literally a trickle of water. Yeah, the drought, remember? Table lamps worn and one of them not working. This morning, as soon as my eyes opened, I reached for the phone and called the front desk to let them know we're checking out. We were supposed to stay another night but I got ahold of my senses and realized there are other hotels down the street - ones that are newer and cleaner and have room service! Why would we stay?? So we are now checking out, but I wanted to get this experience on record. If you happen to be headed this way, you might want to have this info in order to make an informed choice for a hotel in this area.

Yelp
We stayed at the Paso Robles inn last month and a perk of our hotel stay was two free glasses of wine at the cattlemen's lounge, or drinks at another place in town that was closed that day. We stopped in before we had reservations somewhere else for dinner to redeem our free glasses of wine and were disappointed after we ordered a glass of Prosecco and a Cab and were given our bill to find that our deal was only good for " house wine" that equated to $6 each glass ( $12 credit total)That was honestly insulting being in wine country, full of good wine and being offered $6 dollar glasses of low quality wine. We looked on their menu and not one single glass on it was $6 so honestly it just felt tacky and lame that the hotel and the restaurant even included that as part of their hotel package. We paid our bill and went about our night but let's just say we definitely won't be further supporting these deals the hotel offers through email. This was actually my third time staying at this hotel. I really like how centrally located it is, you can walk to any restaurant or winery in the town Square which is helpful after days and nights of wine. I've been spoiled and have only stayed in the garden view rooms with the hot tubs on the deck. They're a vibe and I love that they have shades you can pull for all around privacy when you're out there. The bathrooms in the rooms need to be updated, they are very old school and plain but the rooms themselves are nice. Nothing fancy, but nice. Overall I'd say this place in general is nothing fancy, but nice. We will probably try something new next time ourselves.

Yelp
They've missed a few things. No console under the tv, cords hanging from under the tv, no closet...we can hang two things near the coffee maker, no table to sit at...only one chair and a bed. Can't sit outside either. Also, heard the guys upstairs talking nonstop for an hour.

Yelp
I need to update my review. After persistence, the booking company got a 2/3 refund for our missed night. I'm grateful to the hotel for rectifying the situation.

Yelp
We have been staying here, one night, a year for years. In the last year, we were told, it has been sold and it has been upgraded. The room was fine but just to turn on the lights took a bellman a few minutes to explain. When we got to our room the bellman asked if we would like ice, we said yes. The reason I mention this is after he left we realized there were no glasses in the room or bathroom. We wanted to call the desk or housekeeping but that's not possible. You are suppose to text them. We did but after 20 to 30 minutes with no response we walked down to the desk. We were told that management was trying to decide whether or not to provide glasses. The clerk said she had not seen our text but went to the restaurant and got us 2 glasses. The inn has a lovely garden and by 5pm the outside temperature was 97°. We went out and sat down but within 5 minutes the fire pits came on. TOO HOT. Everything is automated and is made to look hip and new but there are few staff and they seem limited in what they can do. The one thing that did not seem new was the bed mattress. It was lumpy at best.

Yelp
We have stayed at the Paso Robles Inn a few times over the past 2 years. The last 2 times, we had trouble with the room that we booked. Last summer, the room smelled of gas and would have been dangerous to stay there. I am surprised the cleaning staff didn't notice the smell. They moved s to another room, after having to complain and present our case. We just stayed again this weekend, and had trouble again. We booked the room 6 weeks ago, but received a call on the morning we were driving to the Inn, to let us know our room was not available. And, they only had 1 other room available. We had requested a first floor room, due to health issues, but we're only offered the 1remaining room which was upstairs and no elevator. Also, the carpet in the room needed to be cleaned and they used to have free bottles of water... now cost $4 each. Finally, the cost of the room, with a discount was over $400 per night. This is not a suite, just a basic room with a king size bed.
