I cannot believe how high the reviews are on this place. But I will go through why it got a 3 stars and why we won't be recommending it.
First off our servers were great- attentive and brought out fresh focaccia generously. No issues with them- they would get a 5 stars on service alone but alas this is about the food.
We tried a bit of everything in my opinion, the calamari was definitely the best thing we got - really good but not the best in the city. Bread baskets were tasty. The pasta for the price is average- nothing to rave about - we tried three different kinds - not bad not great. The pizza was the worst pizza I've ever had - it was so dry and like almost on the verge of being burnt- barely any sauce - it tasted like you paid for pizza at a kids birthday party where you get it along with the room in a party booking package- disgusting. The minestrone soup below average - nothing amazing. The dessert - we tried two kinds - good but nothing we would come back for. For your birthday instead of giving you a free dessert they give you a $10 coupon to try and get you to come back instead.
Far from good food for the price.

We celebrated a special birthday dinner and decided to try this Winnipeg legacy restaurant. We snagged a spot on the rooftop patio, which had a cozy feel. We didn’t spend much time inside, but from what we saw, the interior looked clean but the main floor lighting seemed very bright, so it may not be ideal if you're planning a more intimate or special occasion meal. Also, add extra time to try to find parking. Parking is an issue.
As for the food, everything was delicious! The calamari was tender and served in a standard portion. I had the Antipasto salad, which was flavourful and the soup was overflowing. Both of our pasta entrées were very tasty; the Sambuca Chili Cream Pasta was creamy, rich, and just the right amount of spicy, while the other entrée had a tomato sauce that was truly next level. The bread bowl was appreciated as we waited in between courses. The price point for each of the dishes was appreciated and the food was very good.
I must note that service was very slow. Even with a reservation, we were seated and were left waiting at the table for almost 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. However, the service picked up a bit after that, and our server was friendly and kind.
Overall, if you're in the mood for a delicious, home-cooked Italian meal, give Pasquale’s a try.

Very authentic Italian, great detail is made to not only the taste but the presentation also. The servers are amazing, they realize that small talk is not always needed when deciding what you want to order and keep a healthy distance but are immediately there when you need something, our cups never got low. Though there was a tv where we were sitting, there wasn’t one on anywhere which was actually very nice and made the dinner a lot more personal and without distraction. The Italian music on in the background was at the perfect volume, not too loud that it made conversation hard, but also soft enough that when paid attention too it could be enjoyed and appreciated

I had dinner with a friend at Pasquale’s Italian Ristorante over the weekend, and it was a fantastic experience. We dined on the rooftop patio, which provided a delightful and relaxed atmosphere. The ‘Two Can Dine’ special was both delicious and a great value.
The service was impeccable—attentive and friendly. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity we received. Overall, Pasquale’s Italian Ristorante offers a superb dining experience with its inviting patio and excellent service. It’s a great spot for a casual meal or a special outing. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a taste of Italy in Winnipeg.

Favourite Italian restaurant in the city!
And nothing comes close. The panzerotti is scrumptious. The cocktails, vibe and service is on point.
Must try: "Forgetaboutit" A panzerotti stuffed with spaghetti meatballs and some really good marinara sauce. And it is HUGE. I like coming here and just ordering this item so I could takeaway half for home.

My sister and I went for lunch the other day! We sat on the rooftop patio and We were able to have a table that was partially shaded.
Our server was great, and very polite. I ordered the muffuletta sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I have eaten in a long time.
The limoncello spritz was also very refreshing!
Reasonably priced and delicious!
Locally owned and very friendly! I recommend 100%.

This time round was a better experience. We had a nice server and our food arrived hot and fresh. It was a wonderful evening to spend our anniversary. I wonder though every other table got the bread but we didnt again ( happened last visit also) i guess they no longer offer it for free..... Anyways the food was great. Will definitely visit again.
