Room was spacious and clean. Location was fantastic, right in the city centre with a car park in opposite the entrance. We don't interact much with the staff, only at check in however they were always polite when we walked through the restaurant and we were given all information by email beforehand. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This hotel is absolutely outstanding. The people that run the hotel and the restaurant are wonderful the food is amazing. The rooms are great. Would stay here again and recommend to everyone!

I do not recommend this place at all. Not because if there is a mistake they dont give you money back, but because they are arrogant to you and also when booking.com was contacting them, they did not answer at all. Humanity 0. In Booking.com was filter pets allowed and under that this hotel. Mistake by booking, my mistake I didnt red the last sentence ,,we dont allow dogs,, because I trusted the filtr but what is not nice is the behavior of the owner or manager - sentence - too bad you overlooked and they keep your money without sorry nothing. Also the receptionist sent us away with the words owner will approve it like everything ok and when we left immediately came the message they will not pay anything back. And ignoring also booking sites which were asking them nicely to return the money? Improper behavior but they have really easy money. What we did? We booked another hotel (Ibis), which was really perfect, but we needed to pay twice. I wish you in future more understanding, maybe after that you will sleep better.

After reading a few past reviews of Grand Passage, I was a little nervous about my stay but overall, I had a very good experience. This is as of May 2025. To be clear, this is not a hotel, these are rooms above a restaurant.||First, I booked directly through its website and I would not recommend it. I never received any booking confirmation, check in details or check out details either. I had to call Belgium before arriving in order to make sure they even HAD it. Booking with them might be cheaper but honestly, I would book with a third-party instead. Hopefully communication through that is better.||Second, I stayed in a double room, of which there are a few layouts. The rooms do look like the photos, which is great, but the quality among them varies. So if you have a preference, request that at booking. ||As mentioned in past reviews, the rooms are tight. Even for Europe. I was one person in a double room and that was fine but if there were two people, it would be very snug. Bathroom is in the room and obviously little space or privacy. They also don’t provide hand soap (which was odd) and there are not enough hooks for towels to be hung so again, just makes a cluttered experience. ||Also from past reviews, the AirCon doesn’t work. It blows hot or warm air only, or is a fan. There is no actual cooling. So if you need actual air con or cooling, I would not recommend this place. The staff said it was fixable, etc. and then just admitted this is the best it would be (warm). And rooms do get warm during the day if the sun is out. So just FYI. When I was there, a carnival was taking part nearby so without air con, I had the window open and listened to children screaming on the rides for hours. Not fun.||Wifi is great in the rooms and water pressure is too. For being above a restaurant there was no street noise, restaurant noise or smells either, which was great. Location is great too on the bus from the train station.||Also, staff is nice but they are really focused more on the restaurant than guests upstairs. But if it’s not too busy in the restaurant, they’re very responsive.||I would consider staying here again and would recommend it as long as you’re aware of these caveats.

We had booked a table for dinner but had to wait a long time for it to become available. Not really a fault on the restaurant, but a pain nonetheless. My veggie pasta was well cooked and the pasta was not sloppy at all. Good beer selection, and I went for the Tripel D'Anvers.

We stayed for 2 nights in December with Family booking a standard double and a triple. This is now a beautiful Hotel rather than the Hostel it was previously.||Hotel is above Gran Kaffee de passage and rooms have been recently renovated. If you arrive before check in at 3 you can access the luggage room so you can’t start exploring Bruges. It’s in a very good location just off one of the main shopping streets.||Our rooms were nicely decorated in theme with this beautiful building. Very large comfy bed and quality bedding. Great shower supplied with shower gel, shampoos and soap. Room safe, plenty of hanging space but no kettle or tea making facilities. The double room was really good and essentially warm on what was a very cold weekend. Our triple room was at the front of the building with beautiful picture windows and high ceilings, unfortunately when renovated the only heating added was via an air conditioning unit which could also heat. It was not adequate for the room and our room was freezing for the first night, however when I spoke to staff in the morning they apologised and provided an extra heater. They really need to address this or have the extra heater in the room permanently.||Breakfast was nice, fresh bread and pastries, ham, cheese, jams etc and eggs. I would recommend pre booking before you arrive.||We also ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night which was really good and important to note we could not hear any noise in our room from the busy restaurant.||I would absolutely recommend staying here if you are looking for well priced accommodation in Bruges.

Lovely hotel, great restaurant downstairs, they always say eat where the locals go. Friendly staff. Rooms are not plush, but very comfortable and pleasant. Will go again.

Over a very nice bistrot, you can enter by there or by an alley harry potter style.|It was clean and confortable. Had eating and you couldn't hear a sound from outside or downstairs. Very central, could visit all city by foot and ealk to the train station. Deposit for bags with easy acess.
