Passage des Panoramas

We were in Paris in November. First time we went at 6 pm and found a lot of abandoned/ closed stores which left us disappointed. We went the second time to seek shelter from the rain, this time around 9 AM. The place was alive and buzzing with activities. Keep going to connect to passage Vedreau and Jouffrey and each section has its own specialty: philately (stamps), souvenir, restaurant, painting. It was a cool experience

Interesting historical landmark. It’s decorated very well and is amazing for photos. There’s many small boutique shops and restaurants to visit so i would recommend going with an appetite and some cash.

Paris covered passages are ideal for rainy days. These glass-roofed arcades flood the space with natural light while keeping you dry. Inside, you’ll find vintage shops, antique bookstores, cozy cafés, and artisan boutiques. Walking through these historic passages feels like stepping back in time with unique treasures around every corner. Whether shopping, enjoying a coffee, or just exploring, the passages offer a charming and peaceful escape from the rain, perfect for any Paris visit.

One of my favorites Passages in Paris!! This is connected to Verdeau and Jouffroy too.. this one had more restaurants and cafes , the others too but more like antique stores, cute book stores etc… and patisseries too

Google
An astounding passage way hidden behind a very obscure and somewhat sketchy doorway but GO IN!!! The history just "explodes" visually in front of you as you go back in time as you stroll by fascinating shops and interesting tiny bistros. These PASSAGES (starting with VIVIENNE to the south and continuing north across the street to JOUFFROY and later to VERDEAU could be a whole day's wandering.

Another beautiful classical and historical place in the heart of 18th arrondissement in Paris. Located near with Passage Jouffroy as well.

I visited Passage des Panoramas and Galerie Vivienne in Paris, and both spots felt like stepping into a calmer, more charming version of the city. Passage des Panoramas has this old-world character—tiny shops, vintage signs, postcard stores, and cozy cafés tucked between narrow walkways. It’s lively without feeling overwhelming, and perfect if you enjoy discovering little corners of history.

With sooo many beautiful things to see and experience in Paris, this should not be in the top 25

Yelp
The covered passages of Paris are legendary and ideal to walk through when it rains. In the classic movie "Sabrina", Audrey Hepburn as the title character suggests that one should "get yourself some rain, not just a drizzle, but some honest-to-goodness rain" on their first day in Paris because "that's when Paris smells its sweetest." Well, it was actually our fifth day in Paris when a torrential downpour arrived, and I'm not sure if it smelled any differently. Instead of hanging out in the hotel, Jamie W and I explored this 436-foot passage, the first of four we visited in succession and the oldest of the existing passages. It was built in 1799, and its ornate structure attests to its lengthy history. So do many of the shops which reflect vintage specialties like stamps, postcards, and antiques. By contrast, the restaurant options reflect a diverse palate that encompasses both traditional and modern tastes. RELATED - Exploring Paris? Yelp
This is a nice covered market in Paris. It's really crowded and popular. It's the oldest covered passages of Paris in the 2nd arrondissement. There's a famous duck restaurant inside.

Yelp
We were fortunate during our visit that the Passage des Panoramas was not overrun by tourists. It was quiet and we were able to wander and look around without being shoulder-to-shoulder with everyone. There are a lot of restaurants and interesting shops, and we were so delighted to see such a variety. There's a still and calmness that contradicts the busy streets of Paris. Is as if, the Passage des Panoramas is an escape to a lost time. It was also cool to see a number of the restaurants busy with locals. It's free to visit and take your time to wander and visit some shops. You may find some old postcards or a book to bring back instead of an Eiffel Tower keychain.

Yelp
Quiet and Delicious Spaces to Wander, Rest and Enjoy! So nice to be able to wander during a rainy day and see all of the cool shops. Nice break to our day and the history of these halls is very very cool.

Yelp
These "passages" are the original shopping malls of the 1700-1800's. Covered by glass, they're s great way to get out of the weather and browse super interesting shops. Passage des Panaromas boasts that it's the first passage to be lit by gas, so good for them! Inside you'll find stamp and coin dealers, tiny galleries and old book dealers. Fun fact - most of these passages used to have a special "salon de decrottage" for scraping all the shit off your shoes from the Paris streets. FUN!

Yelp
It was lovely walking through and seeing all the lovely shops and restaurants. I would definitely visit again if I ever return to Paris. And by the way Paris was WONDERFUL!!!

Yelp
On the plus side, the lunch special is amazing - entrée alone for €11.50 or add a desert for €2 more. So this is a great value! However I'd have paid more for better. The burger was undercooked and sloppily prepared - the mustard / mayo sauce was schlepped onto the side of the sandwich. When I say the burger was undercooked, I mean I asked for medium and it was closer to rare with one side cooked and the other, not. The fries were greasy. And our €25 bottle of wine should have been better. Did we drink it - yes. Did it ever open up - no. To be a little fair, we neither asked for, nor were offered a recommendation on the wine from our server, so we are not blameless on this one. Still, it shouldn't be that difficult for anything being served to be at least not bad. If I come again, I'm getting the duck and desert and the house wine - I think that would be a more winning combination.

Yelp
Lovely shops in a great location. Great sweets shop, Marks and Spencer, toy/miniature stores and souvenir shops that offer some fresh ideas.

Yelp
Walk through all the passages! The shops and restaurants are quaint and adorable. Great place for unique gifts.
