We went for lunch and a wine tasting. The whole experience was outstanding. Lunch was both beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The service was great, met the family who own and run the business. The wines are great and the view across the vines to the ocean epic. The whole experience is topped off with beautiful art everywhere. Would highly recommend

Such a magical time at Passage Rock! Every wine and every dish was a winner - I would go back just for the butter! David and the team looked after us and even gave us a lift to town. Can't wait for my box of wine to arrive to relive the good times!

First time to island, wonderful setting, lovely owners & out of this world food! What a find. Wine was very good. 2021 Cab Sav was lovely with my lamb.

Highly recommended! It feels like a lovely family-run winery — very welcoming and authentic. The wines are excellent, especially the Sauvignon Blanc and Albariño. The food is beautifully prepared and refined. It’s a hidden gem with not many people around, truly a “worth the find” kind of place. A wonderful experience all around!

Confession - Passage Rock was our third choice, Casita Miro and Tantalus were fully booked for a reasonably timed lunch so we thought we would venture a little further afield and we are so pleased we did. I think Shanti? was the name of our waitress and she was a delight, greeting us at the front door and escorting us to a window seat overlooking the vines. We decided on the three course menu for $75 which was extremely good value. Compliments to the chef, food looked appetising and tasted delicious - beef tongue tacos - who'd have thought? We shared a couple of bottles of wine and came home with a few bottles of the Albaraino which we particuarly enjoyed. Would highly recommend you pay a visit.

Having just spent three days on Waiheke Island, this winery would have to be our favourite. This family run winery has all the important elements to make it a great experience - great wines, wonderful food and an atmosphere where the people who visit are treated to a refreshing, honest and relatable time. There is a real connection and a lot of appreciation for what it takes to run a successful winery/business. Definitely recommend a visit - you will not be disappointed.

Situated a little apart from the rest of the vineyards with lovely views. We visited on Friday afternoon for lunch and the wine pairing. The Syrah was very good (!!) The mushroom skewers were quite something, as well as the deconstructed cheesecake (super smooth and not as heavy as one would think). The cheesecake was beautifully accompanied by the Viognier, if you like sweet wine of course. The lamb was cooked beautifully. The food was a highlight. However it would have been nice to be told about the wines we were drinking as it's a vineyard.

Great food - the chefs have done an amazing job with the menu, great views and vibe. Highly recommend and worth getting out this end of the island for. You definitely won’t regret it!
