"Pasticceria Cucchi is protective of its panettone. The Milanese pastry shop has been baking the famous fruitcake—a traditional Italian Christmas treat—in a humble kitchen for over 70 years. Laura Cucchi and her sister, Vittoria, whose grandparents founded the pasticceria in 1936, are thinking about expanding. But they fear that any change to the kitchen’s microclimate or production volume could upset il lievito madre, the revered mother yeast they use to make panettone." - Serena Renner

Historic pastry shop in Milan. We stopped here for a "coffee break" with friends and took advantage of the large selection of pastries offered. This is, after all, a historic pastry shop that will not disappoint expectations. Location that reveals its history, large inside, but which offers an outdoor area for hot days. The service was fast and friendly. The coffee is good, as is the small pastry shop we tried. An excellent choice for those passing through Corso Genova!

we visited this restaurant two times during our stay in milano, the first time we were absolutely delighted, we had an amazing service, who took great care of us and delicious food! the second time we went there the food was still delicious, however the staff wasn’t as great, they did forget about parts of our order even when reminded and we had to get another waiter to get it for us. aside from that it is cute little cafe with very good food! (just a heads up sometimes they run out of pastries, so i recommend coming in early)

Top notch pasticceria, cafe and bar worth visiting at any time of the day as its menu and store layout is very versatile. If you’re asking for directions, the name is pronounced “cookie” not “coochie”, you can thank me later. We went in for an aperitivo around 6pm before dinner reservation nearby. The standing bar area was packed and very lively, and there was a wait for a table so we stuck around the bar. We didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes for service by the bartenders, all of which were truly great. Got 2 Negroni and an Americano, along with a tower of stuzichini (bar snacks). Drinks range between €9 and €13. We enjoyed it so much we came back after dinner around 9pm for a few more drinks and pastries for dessert - it was much quieter at this time. I asked Marco the bartender for a drink including rabarbaro Zucca and he just made something up that was outstanding.

A timeless gem for pastries in Corso Genova! Cucchi is more than just a café—it’s a Milanese institution. Founded in 1936, this historic pasticceria has been serving locals and travelers for nearly a century, maintaining its reputation for quality, elegance, and tradition. I stopped by for a double espresso and a selection of pastries, and everything was spot on. The sweets were fresh and beautifully crafted, and the espresso was rich and bold—just as it should be. What really stood out was the service: warm, professional, and attentive. The interior has a charming, old-world ambiance that makes the whole experience feel like a grand affair. You can sense the heritage in every detail, from the classic décor to the way the staff carries themselves. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Cucchi is a must-visit for a taste of authentic Milanese pastry culture with a side of history. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

Google
€75 for a lemon tartare cake and coffee!!!!Shocked by the deceptive pricing at this "historic" establishment. After being served a lemon tart, we were informed that cutting it (a basic service) incurred an additional charge—only after it arrived at our table. Our total for one slice of cake + a cappuccino reached €75. For that price, not petty upcharges and poor communication.

Everything we ordered was wonderful. The service was very good and quick. Man should consider that the prices are bit higher then the majority of the similar breakfast places. The salmon bagel bread sandwich and the fried rice ball were great, just like everything else we had.

I visited this place 4 times in 3 days, and probably would have been more if we weren’t leaving Milan. The good: - incredible coffee, even for the coffee snobs will surely approve. Italian strong, and so full of flavors! - the most delicious and wide variety of pastries. My favorite was the panettone and dulce de leche filled croissant. Typically I don’t like sweet stuff, but I’m glad I made an exception because it was just too good! - bar and sit down service, you will get a speedy service and attentive staff (we’ve tried both) - the baristas are such classy gentlemen dressed very chic. I dressed up better on my next visit because I was inspired! - the fresh orange juice was soooo good, I guess that’s not specific to this place but rather the whole of Italy? The bad - there isn’t! So if you are staying around the area, forget the hipster cafe next door, this is your jam if you want real coffee experience.

Google
A pretty cafe with nice interior decor that gives a feel of grand affair. There are also seatings outside which is nice during this season (fall) other than the road works nearby. Spacing between the tables can be quite tight if the tables are all filled. Service was excellent. Staff were smartly dressed and attentive. Espresso was good, panettone was excellent...soft and fluffy as promised. The tuna and egg sandwich was nothing to shout about (my fault...what can one expect...a tuna sandwich is a sandwich. I should have ordered something more signature).

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop. Unlike many of the others in Milan, this one has a Vienna-style feel to me, where it's more...cozy, I guess? Lots of pastries, as well as crepes, quiche, yogurt, etc. The ginseng espresso I tried on a whim but didn't love...it's very sweet. But service is good!

Yelp
I frankly can't remember why THIS was the place we walked 20 min to from our hotel but probably because I read good things about it online. I also felt compelled to sample panettone in the homeland and I read that this place serves a mean slice. The seating outside seemed lovely but every table was occupied so we elected to sit inside. The staff wasn't exactly friendly, I'll put it that way. The server came over to us eventually and just asked us what we wanted but we hadn't been given menus. I expected there to be more shit on the menu than there was. It was nice to see some vegan options. I ordered something on the menu that they didn't have and that was a bummer. I went back to the basics and ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and that as an option was very much appreciated. GF ordered something with espresso and cocoa but can't remember the name. When asked if she liked it, she replies with an enthusiastic tone, "Yeah." The panettone was delicious. It was thick but the dough was soft and light with a very tasty flavor. I would recommend this place to grab a coffee and a snack.

Yelp

Yelp
a favorite of the fashion crowd since it opened its doors on Corso Genova in 1936. Nearly 80 years have passed since the Milanese jet-set were first welcomed here, but the cozy spot has not shed an ounce of its charm. Not great reviews on Yelp though https://www.vogue.com/sponsored/article/italian-french-actress-melania-dalla-costa-takes-us-on-an-extraordinary-tour-of-milan?fbclid=IwAR3KS1jM68BPrFlGP2kGALAXpbUVawqHtvPIH0RMahC5Fvnf99oQMzpRYUM_aem_AbWhmDbTfs16WKKjIWlKmkM7DmrXsf11hMvidt-vbc0ZcDnJDVRV58Ieu5BRiHNpCAG77zhv-tzoSQ0U35YqRYnnWLIo66O-T9faghLOU1yWWSGPw2sEq1eIKZRptrAkL8I

Yelp
It's a great place for some coffee and pastries(my breakfast, I do eat vegges with other 2 meals of a day). Love that you can just stand at the coffee bar and have a great cup of cappuccino and a brioche (or any other delectable selections of sweet pastries) like so many regulars do. Price is very reasonable(at the bar section) as well. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Very unwelcoming atmosphere. They bring you two little disgusting cold aperitivos and it's almost insulting! They're acting like they're being generous by giving you free food but it is honestly worse than not giving us anything! The waiter took forever and all they really have is pastries even though they pretend that they have apertivo...

Silvia Q.

Yelp
The worst service we ve ever experience, we waited long time to be Sever a tea and long time to get the milk and of course we never got the bill, the waitress felt like she was mad with the world and like she was doing us a favor, and adding to that 2 teas costs 10€!!!

Yelp
Great place for breakfast & the ambiance is classic. Everything looked fresh & the service couldn't be better.

Yelp
A milanese institution..has a rive gauche vibe....cool people and great pastries. Breakfast at Tiffany's.
