"Coffee with the literary elites Founded in 1867, Cafe Mangini is a gorgeous homage to the literary and artistic 'salons' of Genoa 's past: stucco ceilings, art-nouveau mirrors, and a checkerboard floor that has lasted for nearly 150 years. Located at the end of the beautiful shopping street, Via Roma, Cafe Mangini offers a beautiful setting for a delicious post-shopping cappuccino, especially when paired with a slice of crostata pinoli (a pine nut and almond paste tart)."
It’s really nice place. Very good coffee and cakes. Staff is helpful and friendly. I truly appreciate.

We found this place by chance for a breakfast. Coffee and pastry are good. Chocolate eclair had so much filling. They don't accept credit cards, there is a small queue to pay, mostly Italian people.

Authentic local confectionery with a great athmosphere and delicious cakes. The staff was gentle and helpful. Yes, you can only pay by cash, but you need to adapt while travelling, get over it for the experience. We had the best tiramisu ever.

Nice Pasticceria with some extra excelent sweets, a cakes, chocolates, biscuits. If you pass this place make sure you go in and taste one of the cakes or busicuits. Coffe is very good too. However they lose stars because its cash only (unheard of these days) and the service is not brilliant. I'd recommend you to take away if you have the cash in your pocket. It is a little pricey.

Very good coffee (americano and espresso). There are various options of sweets that are pretty tasty. Not all of the staff know english.

The pastries are wonderful! The atmosphere also. The lady almost didn't speak English, but we managed to understand each other. A very nice place, always have some cash!
It's so sad to read so many negative reviews of this café just because they don't accept cards. People sound like insulted children. Cash is always good to have for different occasions. Some places accept cards but POS may be broken, so what? I don't understand ruining the rating of this place just because you couldn't buy anything there.

Nice historic cafe ("caffe storico") in Genova, where I've been both for a coffee and a "brioche" (filled sweet croissant) in the morning, and an aperitivo (a Negroni of course) in the evening. Always at the counter ("al banco") of course.

Good drinks, average aperitivo. But they have good cakes and coffee. Cakes especially are very good when bought as a whole!
