First visit and loved it. Tasty food, good latte and awesome staff. Clean and organized. Will definitely go back when in town. They have seating inside with benches but no tables. It was not busy when we went on Tuesday evening.

This place is incredibly charming and truly feels like home. The pastries are absolutely outstanding. My husband and I came here for the first time, and when we tried the berry tart, our hearts just melted. It was the most perfect harmony of flavors and textures. I highly recommend visiting and treating yourself - you won’t regret it.

Love this place! New to area and the employees were so nice and informative. First time I got the fruit tart… fruit was fresh and beautifully applied to the tart and the pastry cream light and airy. I didnt like that they use pie crust instead of the pate sucre or sugar crust… but I also tried the lemon cheesecake and it was phenomenal the crust… perfection… the lemon curd was amazing! I’m not a lemon person typically, but it was so good and I like the coffee too. I’ll be back.

We’ve been getting our cakes from Pastiche for years and we swear by it. They only get better and better with time and stay true to their commitment to quality. It elevates any event to have these scrumptious cakes. They’re a core memory for us all.

The best fruit tart that I have ever had in my life. The custard filling has amazing texture with the perfect sweetness and flavor paired with delicious and fresh fruits on top. The pie crust is very dense and crispy which did not get soggy and maintained amazing texture.

Iconic dessert has been a household name in Rhode Island for decades. This is my first time here but I really love this place! Pre-order online is easy and fast. Service was friendly. Bought several cakes, the Fruit Tart is still my favorite😍 will definitely comeback to RI for this tart🥹🥹🥹

I have been to Pistache twice now with my boyfriend and we loved it so much, we get the cannoli, slice of carrot cake and a slice of the torte di chocolata and 2 caramel candies and it was the best!!! Def will become regulars at the amazing place

I've been here many times to take out a variety of quality deserts. A special trip over the years. They're consistently good + fresh from the Key Lime Pie to the Tiramisu, American Chocolate Cake, Coconut Cakes... The layered cakes are dense yet really moist. Flavors aren't harshly flavorful but lovely as the cakes are not super sweet. I only wish they would bake some different desserts from time to time to surprise me - I certainly would try them!

Pastiche is a dessert shop off of De Pasquale Square in Federal Hill. You order at the cash register, and pick it up at the counter when you are called. I miss the days when Pastiche had ample tables and indoor seating. They have a few indoor bench seats, but it is limited. They are always the best cakes in Providence. I suggest ordering anything with fresh fruit, or the layer cakes.

My additional update to this spot (which I love) is the cost. I know there are a host of reasons for rising costs: Inflation The cost of goods The cost to employee people Yes, these are all factors, but it seems also like "they just can." They don't have to employee people to act as servers anymore, just to box up items to go. It was really a loss to no longer be able to come here and enjoy desert. "To go" just doesn't feel the same, but... The prices have also consistently gone up here. I paid $9.50 each for 3 slices of desert. Was I willing? Yes. Will I do so with the frequency I had in the past? Probably not. I still love their products, but maybe not their policies or prices. And I am sad about it.

I got my birthday cake (their new raspberry chocolate cake) and a few single slices (torta de chocolate and tiramisu) here, all of which were delicious. My birthday cake specifically came out beautifully. Although some may argue that Pastiche is now overpriced, I would disagree due to the high quality of the desserts, cost of labor, and current high cost of ingredients. I am rating 4/5 (leaning more toward 5) because I would love to see them bring back seating inside; it used to be so nice to have dinner on Federal Hill and then walk over to Pastiche for a sit-down piece of cake and a hot drink. Overall, service and desserts are great, and I will definitely continue to go here!

This was my first visit to what I know is Federal Hill, RI icon. The staff was patient (I mean sweets are a big decision! lol) and friendly. I took my sister there for birthday dessert. We got two slices of different cakes and two chai lattes and sat on the benches in the back of the room sharing the decadent calories. All I can say is....YUM!!!

Good desserts but they took away the tables so either you sit on a bench by the window or it's to-go. IMHO, that royally sucks as it used to be a great little cafe. Don't bother trying to talk to the staff as they are rude and curt AF. Market Basket has some pretty amazing desserts to-go as well ya know. Just not worth it anymore. Walk around the hill and you'll find plenty of other choices. Will 100% never be back.

Date of visit: 7/24/2024 We got 4 different cake slices to try. Fruit tart, tiramisu and carrot cake are all very good and highly recommended. Rhubarb upside down cake, however, was the one that caused disagreement among members of my family. I personally liked it, while the other 3 didn't. I get it that the sour rhubarb topping can be a turnoff for most people, but imo if you have it with the whipped cream and the strawberry sauce, it still falls under my "ORDER IT" category. Stop by after a meal and try this place out if you happen to be in Providence. You won't regret it!

Large carrot cake. Very moist, plenty of walnut pieces coated sides, and very lovely looking cake. Bakers have attention to detail and use best ingredients. Enjoyed the cake with plenty of leftover slices in the freezer

During our quick stop thru Rhode Island we were on the hunt to try the best desserts in the state and Pastiche certainly delivered! My wife and I both ordered a mochachino along with one dessert to share in the store and one to enjoy later on the road . Our first choice, the butterscotch bunt cake with their fresh creme, was absolutely heavenly with its soft texture and tasty morsels inside plus crunch crumbs atop as we dunked each bite into the container of whipped goodness. Later with the key lime pie as we venture back towards our destination of Boston we savored every bite of the tart slide combined with the savory graham cracker crust and the house whipped creme We loved the quaint storefront, the friendly staff, and the quick service. Highly recommend making this your spot for sweets if you're passing thru!!

Carrot cake very dense--I'm not 100% sure but it tasted like there were a few chunks of pineapple to go with the shredded carrot pieces throughout the cake layers.

I was drawn to Pastiche given the high number of well-rated reviews. I'm also a sucker for bakeries and patisseries and had to check this place out!! By 5p in the afternoon, all the fruit tarts were sold out (unsurprisingly). However, there was still a sizeable crowd inside! I opted for a tiramisu cake slice and took that to go. We had it in the evening after dinner and the cake was sooo light and fluffy. The mascarpone almost tasted like whipped air and there were at least 1-2 cake layers soaked in that signature rum+espresso combo. It was also notably not too sweet. If only I'd been able to enjoy the slice with a freshly pulled espresso!

I ordered cookies for a galentines day event. The team at Pastiche was so easy to work with and order from. I had an easy time picking up my order and an easy time parking as well. A great spot for any time.

I got a slice of lemon cake with a side of raspberry sauce (definitely get the raspberry sauce) and a slice of american chocolate cake. I preferred the lemon cake, super fresh and not too sweet. The chocolate cake was ok but not anything impressive. There wasn't a huge selection to choose from and two slices of cake for $15 is a little pricey so I probably won't be visiting too often.

We purchased their pre-packaged chocolate chip cookies, brownie cookies and Tiramisu cake. They were ALL deliciously decadent and a big hit with the family. The staff here were lovely and very helpful.

It feels like you've stepped into a dessert dream when you enter, with a case full of gorgeous cakes and desserts, shining tarts and stacks of nutty, crunchy, creamy cookies, Pastiche is heaven. I love their carrot cake, with coconut, pineapple and walnuts iced in a cream cheese frosting. The chocolate walnut truffle cookies are delicious, too. Service is always great. If you're looking for dessert that looks as good as it tastes, you can't go wrong here.

We came here for the fruit tart but unfortunately it was sold out. We ended up getting a coconut cake and a mousse. The coconut cake had good flavor and wasnt dry at all. The mousse had a good flavor too. Unfortunately neither was the best we have ever had. But we did enjoy it for dessert.

Friendly staff that took care and consideration into the boxing of our treats. Clean inside and a good selection of desserts. They had candles and cards and fun things to purchase too.

I had their chai tea here 3 years ago and it CHANGED MY LIFE. So much so that I went here everyday during my stay lol It's my absolute favorite chai tea EVER. I love how creamy it is, without being overly sweet. I'm so sad I don't live in RI, but whenever I'm in the area Pastiche is a MUST. In fact, my friends and I visited Rhode Island this past weekend and I basically forced them to go to Providence just so we can come here (sorry not sorry). At first they had their doubts on whether a place could be THAT good that we would go out of our way to get it, but once they tried the chai tea they got it. That's the power of Pastiche! Already dreaming about the time I'll be back (and I hope I don't have to wait another 3 years!!)

Tasty dessert! I came here for the famous fruit tart slice. Lots of fruit but a little pricy, it was around $11 for a slice. It was good but not that special.

Best dessert in the area. Before Covid, the cafe offered seatings inside the shop. It was a cute little French/ English style cafe. Love the cheesecake and butterscotch crumble desserts! Key lime cake was way too tart. Their crumble crust base is always so delicious. Key lime flavor needs a little balance. It's way to sour for a dessert. Cheesecake with a side of home made strawberry jam, homemade fresh whipped cream! Perfect balance of texture and taste!!! Butterscotch crumble tasted a bit like coffee cake. It was pretty good! Service is fast and reliable. Ppl are usually pretty friendly.

Everything they make is awesome! From rugula to zeppole and incredible cakes, cookies and berry tarts. When friends come to visit me, this is an obligatory stop . Service is friendly and as prompt as the crowds allow. Highest recommendation!

Recently I came back to Pastiche Fine Desserts for their Pineapple Mango Panna Cotta, cannoli, and iced passion green tea. The Pineapple Mango Panna Cotta was so delicious and I wish I could have more. The cannoli shells are so flaky and they are filled with a scrumptious cream. For me, the iced passion green tea was too sweet and I needed to dilute it with water but that is just personal preference. Pastiche Fine Desserts is always on point and service is always wonderful.

Every visit to Pastiche makes me miss the days when you could dine-in. Pastiche has the most delicious desserts and coffee. If you're near Federal Hill this is a must stop.

I had been hearing about Patische's carrot cake for a long time and was lucky enough to try it and the chocolate moose cake this weekend. It lived upto the hype. The carrot cake was nice and moist, had shredded carrots, nuts and great frosting to cake ratio. The frosting was a little different than the usual cream cheese so the taste was a little unique but very good. The moose was so rich and tasty.

It's a take out style bakery. I decided to come here because of the great yelp reviews, while we were staying in a hotel near by. I did a take out order, but due to some error on their website, the pickup date was set as the next day after the order, which I realized only after the order. I immediately called the bakery and a gentleman quickly offered me to help me get the order ready for the same day. It was the middle of a week, yet the place was fairly busy. We ordered a bunch of tarts, pastries and cake slices, my family liked everything they tried. We also got a bunch of different teas and those tasted great too. They had oat milk options for tea/coffee.

Best dessert! I have been buying cakes here for the last 30 years. For. Every holiday and family celebrations.

Coming from New York City where there are so many great coffee and pastry shops, I was definitely happy that we came here. The cannolis had a tasty crunch contrasted with a beautiful creamy and smooth filling that I never had before. It was divine. I also loved their london fog tea. They also had a wonderful seasonal options like peppermint latte, eggnog latte. The service is so friendly, all smiles and truly genuine. Something that you won't get in the hustle and bustle of New York. They don't really have too much space for seating, a small corner with benches but it worked because local customers seem to get their order and leave. I definitely recommend

Beautiful cafe located on Federal Hill. Due to COVID, there is no longer seating indoors aside from a few small benches. Street parking available. Coffee and baked goods to go available, as well as custom orders for pickup. Service is always friendly! We tried a piece of the tiramisu cake and chocolate mousse cake - both delicious and served with homemade whipped cream.

They have it down to a science here. And of course great desserts. We opted for the tiramisu cake and the coconut cake. Both were delicious but the tiramisu was my favorite. Parking can be a bit dicey but definitely worth it!

Damn this place is good! Their carrot cake is moist and full of carrot and spices. The frosting doesn't feel sickening sweet, yet it's still satisfied the sweet tooth. Their cannoli has a great custard felling, as well as a pie dough like crust on the outside. It wasn't as magical as I would have hoped. I wish I could have tried more items from here, but overall, an excellent choice for desserts in this neighborhood.

Best cakes and cannolis in Rhode Island. As delicious as they are beautiful. Unfortunately there is no longer seating inside, but while its warm you can grab a seat by the fountain outside.

They truly do have Fine desserts. So fine and fancy -the best in the area in IMHO. I love everything about this small business. The customer service is personal and excellent and expedient. The location is quaint but great things come in small packages. If there is a wait out the door, it is worth the wait, be patient and be kind. You can call ahead to place special orders and I recommend you do if you have someone and something special in mind. We have loved everything we have tried. Our favorites include the following: - Fresh Fruit Tart - Lemon Squares (MY FAVORITE) - Tiramisu - Lemon Mousse Cake (A FAMILY FAVORITE) - The Gift Basket we received and we loved each piece of treat (Almond Biscotti, Chocolate Chip Cookie, Currant Walnut Rugelach, Pecan Russian Tea Cakes, Chocolate Walnut Truffles, LEMON SQUARES. There is a little sitting area inside, not for me, as it can get very people-ly inside. The parking can be tough, especially in the winter. Either be a great parker or be prepared to walk from another part of the hill, or be like us, have a driver and a runner :) It's worth the wait, it's worth the effort and it's worth every penny. Love Pastiche!

We were looking for something sweet to find and found this place. There was a line when we entered, and it was for a good reason. The staff was friendly, fairly quick, turnaround for coffee drinks and tasty dessert. We ordered the cheesecake, fruit tart, and butterscotch coffee cake. All were tasty. However, the cheesecake was a crowd favorite! The coffee was tasty. However, the cups were smaller than your typical size. There is 3hr metered parking close by but most/all spots were taken

Very disappointed to discover that Pastiche has transformed into a take-out only establishment. There used to be a charming, inviting dine-in area, complete with table service for customers who wanted to enjoy their desserts and beverages in-house. Those features were part of what set Pastiche apart from other bakery cafes and gave it a true European cafe ambiance. The desserts are still high-quality, but something important is lost when the experience is limited to a counter-service, carry-out-only transaction. So sad.

One of the best cakes I've had. Came here for cake twice this year and it was twice for a birthday dinner far from Providence. It was well worth it. The raspberry almond cake was amazing. I highly recommend it. Very light and not crazy sweet. The right moistness and airiness inside. Presents very well. The artists did a great job. It was the right dessert for after a big dinner. We also got the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, which is one of the best cheesecakes I've had. The density of the cheesecake is just right. Also presents very well. But, if I must decide between this cheesecake and the raspberry almond cake, I will go with the raspberry almond any day. The fruit tart is also a work of art. Fresh fruits arranged in a nice presentable way. Paired with how they made the custard and the tart shell, it was great. The tart shell was not hard at all and we ate the cake half a day after purchased. We use to get fruit tarts at Whole Foods and the shell is rock hard but not here! Overall, we love the cakes here and will be coming back for more. Hoping that the other cakes are just as great or better than what we've had here so far.

Pastiche is a classic. I've been visiting thought out the years and they never disappoint. Birthday, holidays parties, or just when you're craving somthing sweet they never disappoint. Stopped in today and wanted cheesecake but they unfortunately sold out, instead grabbed a slice of their tiramisu. It wasn't as creamy as others but still good.

it's a cute little bakery spot in providence. there are no dining areas or anything, it's a pick up and go style. you can pick up your own cutleries in a corner booth. the desserts are delicious, not too sweet, and freshly made. they also offer hot beverages like coffee.

This desserts are still delicious, but I was disappointed to see that they removed all of the tables. It no longer has a cozy, feel to it.

We stopped into Pastiche because our favorite coffee place (Vanuatu's) across the street closed and possibly moved to a totally different state. I wasn't particularly taken by any of the desserts there, looking more for something breakfasty rather than a large slice of cake or tiramisu. The slices were enormous and they would definitely be shareable if that was something you wanted for brunch. My disappointment was that we did have to order coffee and sit on the little bench near the window hoping that we would not be forced to sit in our car off the street. Now we know! The coffee was OK, with options of oat or almond milk. When you drink coffee in so many different travels like I do, it really distinguishes a dessert place from a coffee place and this is definitely a dessert place. Nothing untoward to say about this place except that we would've made another choice about where to go if we had known ahead of time there was no seating.

A cute and cozy desert place. The hotel I stayed at recommended to try some desserts from here. There was so much to choose from. The gentleman helped us make a decision because we were definitely taking too long. I had vanilla latte and key lime pie. Omg soooo good. Don't hesitate come here for great desserts. Can't wait to try something new!

They have a good selection and good tasting pastry, but it's not the same now that you can't eat inside. It used to be a cozy spot to grab a hot tea and a slice of cake, now it's take out only and it doesn't hit the same downing my chai on the ride home and eating my torte off a plastic fork at red lights.

We got the tiramisu and it was good! Felt like the cake could've been more moist/soaked in more coffee. One slice was $8.95. The man working the counter was very nice!

My wife and I were South of Boston on bleaisre travel. We decided to head to Federal hill for dinner and dessert. We chose Pastiche based on Yelp of course and I'm glad we found it. The cheese cake was amazing as were the eclairs. The Cannoli's were very good but not quite as good as the cheesecake and eclairs. The only real negative is the lack of seating. They even hav booths but they are technically behind the counter and can't be used by customers.

Our friend, Jessica, gave us a wonderful surprise. We enjoyed the fruit tart over several days and savored every bite. What a treat!

Wonderful deserts. Great wait staff great. If you want the best desserts this is the place.
