Google
Great spot for a quick and affordable meal near the Spanish Steps. It serves fresh pasta in takeaway boxes for just €5. There are two pasta options each time, and portions are generous. Ideal for a tasty break while sightseeing. #pastificioguerra #pasta #eat #food #travel #tourist #cheap #walk

Google
Easily the best pasta I have had in Italy. 5€ for one portion, and the portions are quite big. The staff is very nice, the place is very cozy. Definitely coming back.

Kaja Makowska

Google
The best and most affordable pasta we had in Rome! Every day, you can choose between two types of pasta—one vegetarian and one with meat. The portions are huge, and at just 5 euros, it's an absolute steal, especially considering the location near the Spanish Steps. The dishes are freshly made on-site, served warm, fragrant, and full of flavor. In addition, the interior designed like an old Italian pasta factory adds to the charm. Highly recommend!

Google
It’s technically a small place for a quick bite/lunch. At my first time in Roma, I just visited this place, to see and taste the food. I was amazed by the quality and simplicity of this food. Just two sorts of pasta. I can recommend to anybody to try the pasta. Anybody who is saying that this is under 5 stars, they have no idea and doesn’t know to appreciate the quality, taste and simplicity of this pasta! For the owner of this place, if you are reading my my review, I want to say, thank you very much 🙏🏻

Google
there is nothing special about this pasta. Yes every day they serve two types of pasta one with pork. The other one is vegetarian maybe one positive thing is the price. The price is pretty low according to the other locations.

Google
The first time I tried was 3 years ago.. Nothing has changed. Best flavour, pasta with the cheapest price. They work like a charity :)) Wish it wasnt just "to go" service. My choice!

Kelly Karagianni

Google
Great and affordable (5€) take away pasta next to Piazza di Spagna. Considering how expensive everything is in the centre if you want something tasty and cheaper I recommend this place. It opens at 13:00.

John Youngest

Google
we went there twice and always ordered the non pork variant. we had pasta with tomato sauce and mint pesto. the pasta by itself was perfectly cooked and had the best consistency i've never imagined a simple pasta could have. the tomato sauce was perfectly done and super tasty however the pesto sauce was not as nice as the tomato ones as they were quite bland. however for the price i would rather eat a bland pasta here than any other restaurant. the owner was nice and friendly although they were busy most of the time. next time we visit Rome, we would eat here every lunch!

Yelp
Make sure you have some cash on you as they will let you know that this is a cash only place. €5,00 for a plateful of pasta, 2 to choose from daily - meat or no meat and they switch up the pastas daily. We got the meat option. They open daily at 1PM for lunch and it's €1,00 for water if you need one. Take away only and no seating inside the pasta shop. A lot of people just ate near their store on the street... It's very close to the Spanish Steps so it's pretty easy to find. Right across from Pompi Tiramisu so you can get a dessert after the pasta. The noodles were chewy, great flavors and the pork crispy (looked like bacon than pancetta)... For 5 euros it's such a steal. I saw a bunch of local students swarming the outside of the store while chomping away at their pasta... it has to be good right? The store is clean, small and has big trash bins inside in case you're finished with your pasta and want to throw away the container... I ended up getting some dried pasta to bring home. Highly recommend checking them out. Hubby wasn't even hungry and still had more than half of MY pasta.

Yelp
Walk up and takeaway homemade pasta ready to cook or fresh and hot for a nice grab and go meal. Grab a medium box of pasta and head to the Spanish steps to dine. Menu changes daily with only two options of pasta. No seating for dine in. Take away only. The staff are friendly and services is quick. Reasonably priced at 5 euros for a pst and 1 euro for a water.

Yelp
During our stay in Rome I went here on two separate occasions. We were on a mission to the tiramisu dessert place across the way and stumbled on this place. The line out the door caught our attention and the 4,50 euro sign for pasta was too affordable to pass up. Pastificio Guerra usually has two handmade pasta options for you to choose from. An option with meat and one vegetarian one. The menu was different on both days we went. The first day we came they had a bolognese meat one with a mushroom options. On the second day we came they had a gnocchi with red sauce and few meatballs. I think they had the same mushroom vegetarian one they had on the first day as well. We had the meat ones on each day and they were both good. A portion was a good size and filled us up. The pastas were flavorful and came out hot. They give it to you in a take out container with a spork to be eaten. No bags. They don't have seating inside or outside. It's more of a grab and go type of place and the line moves rather quick. They also sell their ready to be cooked pastas inside.

Yelp
Simple. Two pastas (one with meat, one vegetarian) sold to go. €4.50 per portion! A small business serving the boutique workers and local Romans and tourists like me who happen to stumble upon the shop. One day spaghetti with bacon (carbonara). One day I had gnocchi with a small piece of sausage. Delicious! For this designer boutique area, this shop is a deal!

Yelp
Located right next to the Spanish steps, this spot is very convenient if you are looking to grab something and go. I found it difficult to find quick and easy food places (other than markets) in Italy, so this was a great find. I was in and out in 5 minutes. They tend to have 3 different pastas on rotation which include a veggie, seafood, and meat pasta so there is something for everyone. The pasta wasn't very warm but still tasted pretty good and the location was great. Got to eat and admire the Spanish steps/Rome while people watching. Great time!

Yelp
In 2017 I got in line, stood near the window, ate the pasta I chose and then got right back in line to get the other pasta. Eight euros later I was happy and a little sleepy, but I was happy and sleepy in the Piazza del Popolo y'all!!

Yelp
Crazy cheap pasta shop near the Spanish Steps! At lunch time, they have 2 types of pastas available for €4.50 as of August 2022. The portions are pretty good and service of quick and efficient, pay with cash or card. This place is mostly takeout only, but you can stand around the pasta shelves to eat as well (no seats). Although located near the steps, please don't eat there or in front of the shops around it as to not block the traffic and potentially also get fined for eating at the steps. The pasta itself is actually a bit so-so. The carbonara one was cooked perfectly al dente but a bit saltier than I would like, but otherwise delicious! The spaghetti one was a bit overcooked to be more of a noodle, and the sauce was delicious but lacked a bit of that something-something (and some salt). I think the best taste would be to combine the two when we ate it. However, its hard to complain about €4.50 pasta! Try your luck at this place, I saw some other pastas from different days that look tastier and more interesting!

Vivian W.

Yelp
Love the casual ambience. Inexpensive water - only 1 euro per bottle! I will be back whenever I'm in the area!
google avatar

Maribel H.

Yelp
DELICIOUS and cheap $4.50. They make it as you order. We went at 9pm so there were only 2 options of pasta. For lunch they have more selection. However, it's worth it!!!

ttv N.

Yelp
Good price but extremely rude service I gave the guy 20 euros and I bought 2 pastas so 9 euros is the total the guy only gave me 1 euro thinking I wouldn't realize he was trying to scam me then when I told him he owed me ten more euros and he gave them to me he was wining and asked me 200 times are you sure and then he started crying to his co worker thinking I was ripping him off. honestly the pasta was mediocre extremely overrated tasted like something I could have eaten at Olive Garden. And not to mention they only had two pastas to choose from they didn't even have the one I wanted.
google avatar

Lynn T.

Yelp
Really gross. There are plenty of cheap take-away pasta places in Rome that are great value, but this was not it. Went in at 9 PM, ordered the "zucchini" pasta. Very strong fish/seafood flavor which was revolting. The couple before me ate a quarter of their zucchini pasta then tossed it and left. The pasta also tasted extremely starchy. Also, their customer service needs some work. The employee was not directly rude to me, but barked at a few girls who came in after me asking for an additional fork. He did not give the extra fork. If you're going to come here, come when there's a line out of the door and pasta is being constantly replaced. If not, avoid at all costs.

Yelp
I come to this place every time I'm in Rome because it is still the BEST DEAL for DELICIOUS PASTA! Food/Drink: They only serve 2 selections of pasta when it comes to lunch time at 1 pm. Every day the selection changes and today it was a tasty carbonara and a spicier version which I'm not sure what it's called. Both were absolutely delicious since the pasta is handmade every morning so it's super fresh. This is pasta in its most simple form and it has worked for them all these years! Price: Only 4 euro per serving. Atmosphere: Great little hole in wall near Spanish Steps. They're famous for their delicious and cheap pasta. This place resembles a take-out shop since there are no tables but there is a counter all around the inside of the shop with bottles of water where you can serve yourself! Be prepared for a line at lunch time! Tips: must experience at least once in Rome, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Certainly not the "best pasta I've ever eaten" but really really solid for €4! I knew about the joint thanks to the guidebooks (yeah, I'm a bit of a planner) and as my travel buddies and I found ourselves at the Spanish Steps and in need of lunch, I steered us towards Pastificio Guerra. It wasn't quite opening time but the line was already forming, and my friends nearly revolted. I pressed on, and we queued up. Thankfully, the line moved fast. Not long to wait if there's only two pasta options on offer and it's mostly takeaway. The portions are solid - plenty for a decent lunch and even enough for two meals if you're a light eater. When we went they had a creamy mushroom pasta and a red sauce penne. I opted for the red sauce and it was really nice, the pasta was well cooked and had just a bit of a bite to it. It's possible to eat in if you're determined (standing room only) and apparently there's a little wine available if you do so (I saw one person drinking but couldn't spot the wine itself) and there are also bottles of water scattered about. We took ours away to perch on some planters in front of a newspaper kiosk and inhaled our cheap and easy meal before heading off to the next adventure.

Yelp
This place is good but not great. While visiting Rome last year, we saw the queue and hopped in it. The line was crowded with locals and a few tourists and whenever a place is predominantly frequented by people who live nearby, you know it's a legit food place. Basically you get two choices that change every day: Pasta #1 or Pasta #2. It's the luck of the draw what will be on offer, but the pasta is fresh and made in house every day. Each plate costs 4 Euro, making for a cheap and tasty meal in Rome. Our choices were both tube pastas (bummer, I was hoping for some thin noodles or tortellini): ziti pomodoro and a rigatoni carbonara. We ordered a plate of each. The pastas were good but certainly not the best I've ever had. The sauce was mixed with the pasta and barely coated the noodles. I know this is the "right" way to eat pasta but I could've used just a teeny bit more sauce. The portion sizes were large and folks who aren't big eaters would have no problems sharing one plate. This has to be one of the best dining bargains in all of Italy. There's hardly any space in the restaurant but there are a few small counters where you can stand and eat. Most likely you'll have to take it out and find a spot on the street to eat standing up (which isn't exactly smiled upon in Rome). I'll try this place again next time I'm visiting my favorite city, but I think there are far better fresh pasta options in town.

Yelp
Visited: Spring 2019 Thoughts: Their lunch service starts at 1:00 PM and there was already a lineup that had formed. We probably wait around 10 minutes before getting served. There were 2 different types of pasta to choose from, so we got one of each. I had really high expectations, but sadly both pastas were a disappointment. They do have complimentary wine if you decide to stay and eat inside. However, keep in mind that there are so seats, so you have to stand and it gets pretty crowded and squishy.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Good quality, very affordable, especially considering its location and where it's surrounded by. Just a super business model, and their success is a testimony to that. Would eat there anytime I'm in Rome to grab a quick lunch.

Yelp
I've known about Pastificio Guerra due to my research on cheap eats in Rome. However I only stumbled on this place on the last full day of my Rome trip. This pasta shop is very noteworthy in an area near the Spanish Steps: most businesses here are your luxury brands and the restaurant prices here reflect this. Like an oasis in the middle of the dessert, this is an oasis in the area that charges €4 for a fresh serving of pasta. To keep the prices that low the shop is small, so effectively what they are serving is to-go pasta. To-go pasta is packaged in plastic containers and include a fork. They also keep their menu very simple: only two choices of pasta daily, one meat option and one vegetarian option. The cup of wine is allowed only if you are eating there and signs are posted stating that you can't picnic in the Spanish Steps itself. You're only paying €4, you can't get everything. I arrived on a Sunday close to about 12:40 and the line was starting to form. By the time it opened the line was close to about 40 people but it does go by quickly, especially if you only have 2 choices. The meat option was tortellini amatriciana. Ordering was hassle-free. I ate across from the entrance to the store. Pasta was filling yet I was able to save room for dessert by walking towards my hotel. Moral lesson: cheap and tasty food will always be there if you know how to find it. Even the locals who work in the area have to be able to eat somehow.
google avatar

Ester K.

Yelp
Best pasta-to-go you'll find in Rome. They serve two types of pasta made fresh everyday. Different selection daily so if you eat carbonara here one day don't expect it to be there the next day. I come here often bc the portions are filling and it's fresh handmade pasta for €4!! Cannot beat that for quality pasta. If you're coming here for lunch I recommend getting there a little earlier if you want to eat sooner. Line starts to form before 1pm and @1pm the doors open. But if you can't come here earlier it's fine bc the line moves pretty fast
google avatar

Sam P.

Yelp
Good for an inexpensive dish of pasta. Daily offering of two pasta dishes, no doubt made using the same dried pasta for sale on the shelves lining the walls. I tried both mushroom pasta and something sausage-filled with tomato sauce: both were passably good. Typical of cooking dried pasta, some of the flat noodles stuck together during cooking. Food is served in a plastic take-out container and if you stand and eat in the shop (there's no seating) you can have a beverage at no extra charge, including wine. The woman taking money was super-nice, though I'm no entirely sure what she was saying as she didn't utter a word of English, my ear for Italian is poor and the shop and street were noisy. A good, quick bite for €4!
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
A must visit as it is 100% unique. They serve two types of pasta: white and red ( sauces). They don't sell beverages but have water bottles and plastic cups for free. There are no tables, no chairs. You walk in, they dish up pasta in togo containers, you take a wooden spoon and start to eat while standing. Does this sound awful? IT'S NOT!!! The pasta is fresh made and the sauce is delicious, as good as I've ever had anywhere!!! The best part is, it hosts only 4 Euros. There was a 75 foot long line waiting for the place to open and the line never eased up. When in Rome, do like the Romans do and don't miss this place. In fact give it a top priority.
google avatar

Gauravi P.

Yelp
Literally the best pasta I have ever had in my life. It's just a coincidence that the food was cheap, came with free wine and the owner is a sweetheart!! I suggest getting here 10-20 minutes before store opening because the line can get long. And definitely ask for wine with your pasta!!
google avatar

Madison I.

Yelp
Yes yes yes!!! €4 for dinner and wine. We got one of both options on a Thursday. No wait - no fuss. A cheap spot for a quick bite.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
While traversing the city I stumbled upon Pastafico on accident and what a delightful accident it was! This is a tiny, and I mean, tiny place with big flavor. I got there are 2pm and there was two choices in the cabinet- I chose the pesto looking version having no idea what I was ordering. For 4 euro I received a huge serving with a cup of wine. What? Yes... 4 euro. I happily grabbed my food and left to find a spot to sit and enjoy. On my walk to find a location I noticed almost every other person with the same container of pasta in their hand. My first bite was heaven, albeit the exhausted and starvation from my day if waking, but it was amazing. I'm headed back to explore today and it's a safe bet that I'll find my way back to this little gem! And likely each day after that until I leave to go home from vacation.
google avatar

Adrienne L.

Yelp
Nice place to run in and get a cheap pasta. When we went they offered two varieties that then scoop out of a try and serve. Not the best pasta but definitely a nice quick lunch or afternoon snack that is affordable.
google avatar

Jin Z.

Yelp
Bought based on yelp review. Very disappointed. Not even worth the 4 euro. Would not recommend even if you are close to the restaurant, super hungry and only have 4 euro to spend on food.
google avatar

Jackie T.

Yelp
So good I came here twice in my four days here. So good I'm posting this about a year after I actually came here, and it stood out enough that I had to revisit it! It's definitely a hole in the wall type of restaurant and nothing fancy, but it's 4 euros for a plate of pasta and a cup (sorry, not glass) of wine. They only offer a couple of options per meal, but everything is sooooo good. The proximity to the Spanish Steps would make you think a highly rated eatery like this would be a tourist trap, but it really wasn't. The pasta was fresh and hand made and amazing.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
Definitely overhyped. Waited in line on a Monday at 1245pm since they open at 1pm. The pasta is just barely decent. Not that flavorful and unevenly cooked (some noodles were very al dente, others were soft). The only good thing is the price at 4€ for a lot of pasta. Cash only.
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
This is a no frills spot that offers heaping servings of fresh pasta for only €4. When you arrive, it looks like a small retail space full of packaged goods with a few options in a hot case at the front. Depending on the time you go will determine your options. Since they tend to always have a line out the door, it's usually limited to four at the beginning service and towards dinner only about two varieties available for your choosing. We came on several occasions for the convenience and the price point while we were walking around. There were a lot of times where we didn't want to have a sit-down meal since we were trying to take in as many of the local sights as possible, so this spot fit the bill nicely. Even with the line stretching out the door, the service is quick and you can be in and out within a few minutes. What we tried: - Pesto pasta: Jaime liked this the best out of all that we experienced during our trip. It was good, but it was a little oily for me. - Gnocchi: I liked these a lot, but they are heavy. If you're not into a super heavy consistency of carbs and cheese - you might want to choose a different variety. - Carbonara: I think this was my favorite. Not only was it semi light, but the nice bits of bacon intertwined with the noodles was delicious. Again, it's a big portion, so when you're reaching the end, you will encounter oilier noodles. Still good. - Funghi: Big noodles with pieces of mushrooms inside. Perfect if you're vegetarian, but even the meat eaters will love it. On this trip, the noodles were bigger and the sauce was on the creamy side. I loved ever moment of it. - Pomodoro: Simple dish with marinara and chunks of tomato. Great if you're looking for something easy and not too heavy. You're more than welcome to take your food to go or eat there. They don't have tables, but a lot of counter space for you to stand and enjoy your food. A lot of the locals seemed to stop in and take their orders to go while some of the tourists opted to take their bites over towards the Spanish Steps nearby. I think they frown upon doing that... but we saw it on numerous occasions. A huge perk is that they offer free wine and water with your meal as well. You get small plastic cups - but hey it's free and they aren't stingy with it. Good luck finding a better quality value while in Rome! It's cash only.
google avatar

Xander H.

Yelp
Delicious fresh pasta at an unbelievable price! AND free wine and water!! (while it lasts.. definitely get there right at 1pm when they open for any hopes of free wine) This was the best pasta I had in Rome. Their gnocchi was fantastic, and such a great value for only 4 Euro. I wish I had found this spot earlier!
google avatar

Quinn Q.

Yelp
Fats and affordable food. Wouldn't recommend to come here for an actual meal but this is perfect for a snack on the go. There is no seating inside. Food is to go. It's cafeteria style so you pay one flat price and make a selection.
google avatar

Nobel X.

Yelp
Not great. Was hopeful because of the line but food was barely edible. I guess it's popular because it was on tv? Over rated. Cafeteria style, just 2 types. Pasta quickly cooked too al dente. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Gnocchi had an odd smell to it. The green one was dry and tasteless.
google avatar

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Fresh, handmade, delicious. Walk in and whatever is behind the counter is what's available. Ordered the carbonara...told it wasn't an exact carbonara because there isn't egg in it. But still DELICIOUS. Agree with those before me, they definitely prefer exact change. €4 per dish, large portion. I only was able to finish half of mine.
google avatar

Rolf V.

Yelp
Yes. Just yes. There will be plenty of people that hate, but they are just bitter old hags. This place rocks! The food is great, the people are great, the value is EPIC!
google avatar

B M.

Yelp
LOCAL GEM!!! Bahhhhhhh! You're surrounded by people looking at the epicness of Rome. You've been offered 5 selfie sticks in 5 meters. You're starving and you want something quick, delicious and affordable. You walk a couple streets away from the crowd at the Spagna, and it's yours. €4 per LARGE portion Two pastas offered (when we went) Free table wine (just ask for it) Authentic decor The server was low on coins and we only had bills. good advice is to bring coins to help out and have your team hold down a spot to eat on. Ate Gnocchi in tomato sauce - pillowy puffs of joy, SOOOO filling Fettuchini tossed in marintated diced peppers - T only wanted a snack and couldn't help but finish this plate
google avatar

Cortney M.

Yelp
Great value. Great sauces and the pasta is homemade. The downside is that both of our pastas were undercooked (see photos). When you bite into it, you shouldn't have raw pasta in the center. Maybe it was just an off-day, or a bad batch. Worth checking out though! Get it to-go (take away). We took ours to the Spanish Steps and ate it there. :)

Brendan W.

Yelp
If you're in Rome and looking for incredible pasta, this is the place to be. I visited after seeing Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Food was excellent and very affordable!
google avatar

Maren F.

Yelp
I'd previously read about this place on Yelp, so when we were near the Spanish Steps around lunch time, we simply had to try Pastaficio. There was quite a long line, but we only had to wait for about 5-10 minutes. That day, there were two choices of pasta: tagliatelle with herbs and mushrooms in a buttery sauce, and Gnocchi with a light red (I'm assuming tomato) sauce. I went for the tagliatelle, paid 4€, and received a HUGE box! The pasta was al dente, the pesto simple but tasty, and a great value for money!
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
Simple, quick, cheap. That's how I would describe Pastificio. It's right by the Spanish steps, so the location is very convenient. They only make two kinds of pasta a day. I went with the spaghetti with tomato sauce, prosciutto, and parmesan. It comes in a plastic container, but don't let the appearance fool you, it's very tasty! One portion is only 4 euros, and it comes with unlimited water and a cup of wine if you want. There are no chairs, so you stand and eat. The spaghetti was perfectly al dente, just how I like it! It's also right across from Pompi if you want tiramisu afterwards! Pastificio is great for a quick bite to eat
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
The pasta shop opens at 10am, but the 4 Euro pasta begins being served at 1pm. (13:00). I tried a pasta in a red sauce with mushrooms and cheese. It was delicious and a great serving size for a light lunch. As others have mentioned there are two pasta choices per day. The inside of the shop was completely packed, but we just took our pasta outside to enjoy near the shop.
google avatar

Ana B.

Yelp
4 euros for a rather large portion of pasta. You can't beat that price in Rome. Just a few steps from this place i was sold one scoop of gelato for 5 euros. You can eat it in (with free wine) or take it to go (no free wine). The place really defines the meaning of "hole in the wall" expression. It is very tiny and very crowded all the time. So eating in would be tricky because you have no place to sit or even stand. We took our order "to go" and went to the nearby McDonalds ( i know it is awful ) but it was raining and we needed some warm place to sit down. The pasta was very good. The sauce was a little bit too salty for me but overall it was good. They don't take credit cards and prefer the exact change. So get your 4 euros ready.
google avatar

Seo Young M.

Yelp
Every menu is 4 euro. Well, there is only one menu with two options. Pasta 1 or pasta 2. The difference would be the type of pasta and the sauce (I think the sauces are always the same though). It's so simple and yet because the pasta itself is so chewy and good, you fall in love with this place! They also provided free lunch on Christmas Eve! How generous! But remember that it's a take-away place. It's always crowded with people trying to stand somewhere in the small shop. Opens at 1pm for lunch.
google avatar

Brian R.

Yelp
Went around 9PM, they had 2 options which were pitched to us as "with pork and no meat" so not really sure what I had, but both were red sauce based and not very impressive. Yes it's cheap, but it's not very good....if you're really on a budget and you're saving your money to for your plane ride home, than sure go ahead and eat here. But if you're in Rome because you want to eat all the delicious food....go somewhere better.
google avatar

Rits M.

Yelp
Loved this little takeaway shop. They make 2 fresh types of pasta daily and its different every day. I have been here a couple of times and would definitely revisit, it's cheap and quick and good food. Best to take home or to eat by the Spanish steps. They also serve really large portions, enough for 2 people who are hungry. Each box is 4 euro, which is a steal! Its a good place to come for lunch, but i think it gets over by dinner time/ the food gets reheated too often. Its definitely a take out place, so dont think you can sit here
google avatar

Laurel C.

Yelp
I'm so surprised by the bad reviews. I just polished off a small container of delicious spicy pasta with mushrooms. My husband had gnocchi in red sauce with some meat. Both were excellent and for 8 euro it was totally worth it. Also the man behind the counter was friendly. The shop is full of dried pasta for sale. So glad I figured out where all the people eating takeout containers of pasta were getting it from.

Yelp
What a gem - absolutely delish! Completely caught off guard - 4 euros and an amazing pasta. Lovely, yummy, unpretentious pasta shop near the Spanish Steps. Definitely on my list for next year.

Yelp
I think this place is just ok. The location is great! Near the Spanish steps... Maybe I've been spoiled by excellent pasta all over Italy but i think this place is just so so. There's a line up out the door typically for their pasta, and for €4 you get a choice of 2 types of pasta only. One with meat, another vegetarian. I tried both and found the pasta to be a bit too over cooked and salty. There are a bunch of sit down places in Trastevere where u can get a primo or pasta for around €5. If the commute isn't an issue, I'd rather eat there.... And be able to sit down... Rather than stand around and eat pasta out of a plastic container near the spanish steps.

Yelp
Pasta was good - very tasty and reasonably priced - I would like it a little warmer and little less dry but it's sitting on a heater so it's understandable. Nice people in there and it's only 4€ for a good portion of freshly made pasta and then they give you free water and wine if you stay inside and eat on a random shelf!

Yelp
Crazy but fast moving line at 1pm. Truly the best pasta I've ever had. Really cheap, generous portion size and it's all take out. When we were there 2 options available...pesto or carbonara and it rotates when they run out. Perfect to take and eat on the Spanish Steps.

Yelp
HIDDEN GEM!!! This traditional pasta shop serves two kinds of prepared pasta for lunch from 1-3pm daily. It is so fresh and delicious and a steal at only 4 Euros a plate. Plus- they will give you a glass (well a plastic cup) of wine to go with your meal if you ask. I went for a few days while in Rome and the carbonara was my favorite, so delicious. If you want to try both pastas I would recommend going before 2, otherwise they may run out and only be serving one type of pasta. Also...Pompi the best tiramisu place is right across the street. Go there for dessert :)
