We had a fantastic tour with Jacob as a small group in Dublin. It was absolutely fascinating to hear and see The Liberties, Dublin Castle, St Patricks Cathedral, Christ Church and more on our walk. We have lived in Dublin most of our lives and walked past these places a thousand times without realising how much history is under our feet. It was terrific and absolutely surpassed expectations. We have earmarked several points to go back to that Jacob provided lots of interesting information on. He made for an excellent guide who has a clear personal interest in all that's going on in Dublin. It's a unique experience to be a tourist in your own city and I would highly recommend it. Thanks to all in Pat Liddy's as they were very responsive in all emails and organised the day for us really well. I'll be recommending to family, friends, and colleagues!

John, our guide, was an excellent raconteur with a knowledge of details that made the story of Joyce and his contemporaries very alive. Long after the walk we keep thinking about the characters, their lives and destinies, in the same Dublin that we explore today.

This walking tour was 3 hours and centrally located. Our guide was knowledgeable, but the itinerary felt a little odd. Admittedly, I booked history and hidden places tour; however, an outdoor stage/concert venue with umbrellas doesn’t feel like a worthy stop. Additionally, the Irish music hall of fame felt like a stretch. It made the tour seem like it was trying to convince us that Dublin was cool. I’m not sure I’d recommend this to the average Ireland tourist.

Highly recommend this walking tour of Dublin. Our guide, Jonathan H, was knowledgeable, engaging, and adept at knowing his audience. He touched on so many iconic landmarks, and for us a highlight was the Handel statue, as well as other sites related to his time in Dublin. We went to places we would not otherwise have found. The time (nearly three hours) flew by. The walking was gentle and not at all tiring. Quality tour all around. 🍀⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We absolutely loved the James Joyce walking tour! Our tour guide was a retired journalist from the Irish Times, and he was really nice. He provided us with lots of insights into Ireland's/Dublin's history, drawing comparisons with life today. We also talked a lot about James Joyce and all his books, and our guide shared some funny facts and recommendations on how to read Ulysses. I think this tour is suitable for anyone who would like to read James Joyce, as well as those who have already read his work and would like to know more. Thank you!
