From the moment I walked in, this was a fantastic customer service experience. I was warmly greeted at the door, and the staff went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for. The artwork throughout the store is absolutely stunning, and the interior design — especially the stage-like setup at the checkout area — made the visit feel special. Even if you're just stopping in to browse, the atmosphere alone is worth the trip. Truly a memorable and enjoyable experience!

Amazing store that’s guided me through some great investments over the last few years especially with my outerwear! Love the management team and their knowledge / customer support. Would love to see more green colorways in store :-)

I had an excellent return experience in the Old Town Patagonia location thanks to Alex. The return was hassle-free, the store was immaculate, and the staff were all friendly coming and going. Parking is always an adventure in Old Town, but I got street parking less than a block away (after a few trips around). Thanks for your help, Alex!

Georgetown location is so much better. A staff was unfriendly. She made me feel like I was bothering her.

I regret had shop in this store ever. I was shopping with my family for my birthday and I was denied the use of the bathroom by an associate, I hope won't be for racial issues, I was advice to go and ask into a restaurant two blocks away, I poured my money into this brand and in that store, never will again 06/14/2025 at 1:30 pm if they want to see their cameras, what a shame!

The staff here was amazing. I came in with some old items in need of repair. Sam and Nick couldn't have been more professional and helpful.

Incredibly snarky un-helpful lady who literally laughed at me when I asked for good layering suggestions to avoid an expensive pair of ski pants for a 1-day, 1-time ski trip.

I love Patagonia’s business model ( lifelong repair on zippers, ability to recycle items and buy used items online at deep discounts). And their clothing is so well made that it lasts for years. Sarah offered superior service at the Old Town location. In fact- all staff were helpful. I beelined it to the sake’s rack and scored a gorgeous pullover for my husband (50% off) that going to come in handy in the bitter cold Rockies.

While walking around Old Town Alexandria, we stumbled upon the Patagonia store. We browsed the store and tried on a handful of items. It was strange how certain materials couldn't be tried on in the fitting room. My husband added the three jackets he liked to his holiday wish list, while I ended up buying a Women's Nano-Air® Light Hybrid Jacket for $124.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! Trey was especially friendly to us. Thanks for keeping the features of the old theater.

I've decided to focus on sustainable fashion as much as I can. I found Patagonia as one of the bigger brands that cares to make an investment. My ideal is something like Oboz. To be honest, I don't have any personal experience with the brand yet but went into this store b/c I was in the area. It's really small and there really isn't that much selection as like a normal sized GAP or something like an REI. The staff was super attentive but there just wasn't that much to see, not really worth a trip for it alone. I plan to go to the flagship store maybe in DC sometime to compare. I will still buy from them in the future but I'll probably look online b/c there will definitely be a bigger selection.

While we didn't buy anything (today at least) William was exceptionally helpful giving my husband and I assistance as we prepare for our 1st trip to Yosemite this spring. We'll be back!!!

Great store, great stuff - and Alex (sale rep) went way above and beyond. My wife and I had visited the store in January. She saw a Gore-tex shell she liked, but didn't buy. I went back a couple of weeks later to buy it for her birthday. Of course her size was not in stock. Alex first looked in storage; then found that there were 3 in stock at their Baltimore store. She ordered the coat from there, and even held a larger-size coat on hold in case my wife wanted the bigger size. She got the coat in time, and used it on a rainy trip to Chicago. Thanks so much, Alex!

Visited the store to buy some Patagonia wear for my mother's birthday. I was greeted by friendly staff and once I was complimented on my favorite sweater I knew these employees had good taste in clothes. As I was browsing the variety of items, I was approached by a kind, helpful worker named William. I told him the general description of what I was looking for to give as a present for my mother. He gave me a detailed rundown of the different categories of clothing, typical situations in which they are used, and he created stylish combinations from individual products. Mr. William and friends made me feel quite welcome at their Patagonia home. I left with what felt like one of everything. When I gave my mother her surprise, she was over the moon. So, thank you again William and Patagonia fam, because of you I'm now my mom's favorite child.

This isn't a real full size Patagonia store. It only has the 50 most popular products. Which is fine but a bit strange. Even more strange are their hours. 12-5? And only like 4 days a week. Are we in Canada?

Thank you so much Jordan and Edwardo for helping me find the perfect jacket! They went above and beyond with pulling sizes from the back and explaining the differences in coats to make sure I knew what I wanted and what size. So glad this location opened up!

It looks like a lot of these reviews were due to COVID procedures, but this store has reverted back to normal business operations. It isn't as big as the store in Georgetown but still carries a good amount, and the staff are very nice.

We went into the store to see about fixing our youngest son's coat. The sales person who helped us was amazing! She talked to me about the different options. The coat was about 8 years old, had been passed down through three kids, and I expected to not be able to have anything done but maybe a patch. So she told me that they would send the coat to be made into another coat for someone else. Then she was able to replace the coat with a brand new one with the company's warranty program. As we were leaving she gave our other son a book about wolverines that he had been eyeing the whole time we were in the store. I will definitely be recommending Patagonia in Old Town Alexandria to everyone in need of a coat.

Patagonia guru from the start and love checking out stores when I run across them in my travels. But today's experience will not change my mind on the company's environment responsibility that will bring back maybe not to this location but to the Georgetown location instead.

This location is well-organized and well-staffed, and the company did an amazing job at restoring a historic space that may have otherwise been boarded up and abandoned. While the selection is smaller than at larger locations, the staff are great at locating styles elsewhere and offering size advice. They're all patient and knowledgeable, and I think it's helpful to see this space as a satellite location of a brand that's trying to improve the world.

I just wanted to say that our store here in Alexandria is outstanding.  They are the nicest bunch of people.  We are big fans of Patagonia.  My husband has the nano-puff.  He wears it alot.  It got a rip and the stuffing was coming out so I took it to our store and you'll never guess -- they GAVE US A NEW ONE.  Yes.  They were so kind.  I thought they would repair it, but a new one? This blew me and my husband away.  I told them I didn't feel like that was quite right since he's worn it for years.  But they said that Patagonia stands by its products and WOW.  I still cannot believe it.  We have a few articles of clothing from Patagonia and we've given Patagonia things for gifts. I have always grumbled about the prices even though I obviously like the products. Well, now that I know that they will repair or give replacements for damaged goods, I think the prices are justified.

Requiring an appointment to come into the store on a busy street such as King Street is ridiculous and out of line with other businesses in old town. The store is huge and limiting the number of people in the store would be a better strategy. They lost my business today and in the future. Will patronize more sensible businesses in the area who are looking to sustain themselves in a more customer friendly yet safe way! Hope they learn a lesson the hard way and are forced to close.

Alex was extraordinarily helpful. All the low reviews are due to people not doing their research and planning ahead for their visit. Their ignorance shouldn't reflect on the business. It was remarkable!

This is a wonderful store in Old Town, Alexandria! It is large and has a good selection, including a nice sale area. The dressing rooms are large as well and clean. Most of all, the staff here are just fantastic. What a lovely group of people--everyone I met was so helpful and knowledgable. Spencer was especially wonderful--he was very knowledgable and helped me understand all the rain jacket options and features, as well as the right gear to have on my upcoming trip. He went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed and continued to check on me to answer my questions and make sure I had the right sizes and choices. His opinion was also very helpful and his knowledge of the products was fantastic. He was never pushy or condescending--he was a joy to work with. I left with multiple items that will be prefect for an upcoming trip to Scotland! Thank you Spencer and the team at Old Town--you made my trip to Patagonia so fun and enjoyable, I'll be back for sure! Highly recommend!
