The food and the service were OUTSTANDING. a great spot for sunset too. Kendall was amazing and every single recommendation was flawless. We got a cocktail and mocktail that were on special. SO GOOD. we had the tuna tiridito to start which was so fresh and bright. The potato strings added the perfect crunch. We then had the crunchy nigiri, which was so rich, but still light. The tartar on top was so fresh and flavorful, and the fried rice base was nice and crispy and the perfect vehicle for the tartar. We were so full we could eat anymore, but we did get the mixed ceviche to take back to the room for a late night snack. It was perfect. If we are ever back in this area again we will be back to this restaurant. We may go back again tomorrow honestly.

We stopped for dinner while we were out in Costa Rica. We love traveling to different countries and trying their authentic food. This felt more like a fancy restaurant, and I honestly didn’t feel like I was in Costa Rica, the food was okay but it didn’t feel authentic. So if authentic is the vibe you’re going for, I don’t think this is it. However, if you’re looking for a fancy restaurant with good food and drinks this is it! The views were AMAZING!!!!

We had a wonderful dinner at Patagonia del Mar with my wife and two kids. The beachfront location was stunning, and the atmosphere was perfect for a family meal. The food was delicious, with something for everyone, including fresh seafood and kid-friendly options. Our server, Yuleicy, was fantastic—so friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, Patagonia del Mar is a great spot to enjoy a lovely meal with family while soaking in the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend!

Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, every dish is a hit. You simply can’t go wrong—the flavors are bold, fresh, and unforgettable. And the service? Absolutely top notch. Last year we brought our kids, and they fell in love with the place just as much as we did. It’s become our Costa Rican tradition, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and make Patagonia Del Mar your go-to. You’ll thank me later!

Nice restaurant with good atmosphere. Service a little slow and not everyone is friendly. Paying by card is possible. Would recommend and come back.

I had the best tuna poke bowl in Costa Rica, the sushi rice is on point, fresh mangos, avocados and tuna just made my day this is 10/10! Also the green smoothie is super yummy. With beautiful sea view in front, highly recommended!

I honestly don’t understand how this place has 4.5 stars. The food was average at best, and the service—while friendly enough, especially with our son—didn’t make up for the rest of the experience. First, we asked for lobster and were told that in Costa Rica, lobster is “at risk of extinction,” so they don’t sell it. That explanation felt more like a story than the truth—if that’s the case, tell it to someone else. Several locals told me this restaurant is one of the few in the area, so the prices are exorbitant. Sure enough, kids’ pasta (overly salty), two drinks, and two adult dinners came to $147—and the food wasn’t even good. I’ve eaten at several other local spots here that serve delicious, homey food for about a third of the price. Charging $11 for a bottle of sparkling water is exactly the kind of thing that drives tourists away. Between the inflated prices, mediocre food, and questionable explanations, this is why my rating is only 1–2 stars. And please—don’t tell customers lobster is at risk for extinction if that’s not the real reason you’re not serving it.
