As a South Florida native living here my whole life, there are very few firsts and unknowns for me to experience in the area. My experience at Patch of Heaven was one of a kind. The place was gorgeous. Full but not overgrown. The map they gave was very helpful, and each area was unique and stood out for it's own independent reason. The amount of care to upkeep and detail was second to none. Upon exploring, we ran into the tour guide Randall, who is deeply knowledgeable about every area, plant, flower, fish, and insects we came across. We went to eat at the Thai restaurant on the property. We ate some of the most delicious food, from fried mushrooms to sticky rice and mangoes. We were assisted by Ram, who made us feel right at home. The tour guide suggested that we see the horses, and i got to see some of the most stunning animals ever. Even on the way out, we met Julio, another employee who told us how much he enjoyed helping to take care of the Sanctuary. I loved every aspect of the experience, and I can't wait to go back.

A bit of heaven on earth… I have been here twice - many years in between both visits. Once, I toured the grounds alone, and another, for a full moon event. Both moments were unique and soul-filling. To find solace in nature in Miami is rare to come by and I am so grateful for this sacred space. I highly recommend it.

Patch of Heaven Sanctuary truly lives up to its name … it’s literally a patch of heaven tucked away in Miami. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the shift. The energy is peaceful, grounding, and completely out of this world. I came here because I needed to disconnect, breathe, and just be, and this was the perfect place to do that. Whether you’re looking to meditate, reflect, or simply escape the noise of everyday life, this sanctuary is pure magic. I especially loved the pond with the koi fish 🩵so beautiful and calming. Going on a weekday made the experience even more special, as I had the entire place to myself. No crowds, just nature, stillness, and peace.🧘🏼‍♀️ This place is a true hidden gem, and I’m so grateful I found it. I’ll absolutely be back!

Google
Absolutely beautiful experience, I toured the grounds and also attended the Full Moon Forest Bath this evening. There aren't words to describe as every staff member was so friendly and inviting. Horses are beautiful and well taken care of and Bruce seems to genuinely care about them. It feels like you're stepping in a different world. What an excellent group of people. The chanting and musicians were phenomenal, sound bowls were beautiful. Every inch of this place is just wow! I'm here for a short time for work and this was my only weekend , I definitely made the right decision. I messaged Suzanne with questions and she answered making the experience all the better.

Update: We have now attended 2 special events (Aprils full moon Forest Bath and Love and Kindness in February). This place is spectacular and run by very compassionate kind people. Their mission and love to our earth is impressive 🌴 🌳 🌲 Previous post: We went with a group of friends and every one of us was so impressed with the beauty of this place! The various different species of plants was huge. It was perfectly manicured and the restaurant was also fantastic!

Google
I had no idea how enjoyable this place was going to. I regret not taking more photos, but that just gives me a reason to go back, which I absolutely will. It’s about a 40 minute drive from downtown Miami if you don’t hit any traffic. They have a lovely, family owned Thai restaurant as well which I highly recommend. All of the staff is so incredibly polite, it really seemed like they genuinely loved their jobs; I appreciated that so much. On top of the beautiful nature escapes, they also have stables with horses you can pet. The amount of wonderful experiences you get for the cost of one ticket simply cannot be overstated. I can’t wait to return.

A True Hidden Gem – A Sanctuary of Peace and Purpose Patch of Heaven Sanctuary is an absolute treasure. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you can feel the dedication and love poured into this space. The sanctuary is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, peaceful walking trails, and a deep sense of tranquility that makes it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly, you’ll leave feeling inspired and connected to something bigger than yourself, the place is full of peaceful energy and welcoming to all parties, whether Family with kids or couples. I highly recommend this sanctuary to anyone looking for a meaningful and refreshing experience. The restaurant is really good, with great customer service, and good-tasting food.

Google
I enjoyed the Patch of Heaven. I went there with my friends and everyone loved it. Some areas required a little bit more maintenance but in general it is a very peaceful and serene place. I loved the collection of statues and art along the pathways. Little bit pricey if you go with a big family.

Yelp
Beautiful place to sit around for several hours to fully take it all in. I would say this is a great place for a first date, chatting with friends, or spending time to reflect by yourself. The sanctuary is large and has several areas to visit. When you first walk in, the path will take you to the sections where you see, smell, touch, and taste. The seeing section you can sit under a tree with different artworks to view. Smelling section has plants that have a strong perfume scent that aren't even flowers, it was a wonderful surprise. Touch section you can use a totem to send a wish or prayer and run your hands under a fountain. Taste section has veggies and herbs you can pick & eat. Then, at the end there is a meditation garden. The butterfly house only had 2-3 butterflies I saw, but the waterfall was beautiful. Right outside of the butterfly house, take a seat in front of the pond to see all the fish in the pond. There are so many different sections and conversation spots, you really just need to walk around & take it all in! Get the Dragonfruit Lemonade in the middle of the Sanctuary!

Yelp
It starts to fade when you arrive down the hidden drive into the parking lot....the stress. Daily schedules, commitments, deadlines... the disappear.. and are supposed to. That's one of the things about this Sanctuary --a place of refuge and protection. For Humans, Flora, and Fona. Other gardens appear landscaped, maintained, manufactured, museum like in the tagging and display of rare, special trees, flowers and native plants. This space mimics the natural Pinewood & Rockland Hammocks that is South Florida's native, natural undisturbed areas. Small trails with benches to reflect, read a book, find your peace. Waterfalls, a Lagoon full of Koi and Cichlids, Zen Garden, Butterfly Garden, Horse Bar, Bat Houses, Chocolate Bar Restaurant..... you really never knew this place was here. a hidden gem, really. We had a tour arranged for our group with Randall Quirk, the most energetic, engaging, interesting accompaniment we could have asked for. He knew all the stories, all the plant life, and all the techniques for reducing stress, and relaxing at the Sanctuary. He took us to a very unique part of the Sanctuary called the Mindful Pocket Park - a series of mini parks one for each of your senses as the anchor of focus, relaxing you you will arrive in the present moment. We had an older woman with us, who was slow with a walker. Randall made sure she kept with the group, was constantly checking on her, and even escorted her to the bathroom during our lunch break. He really made us all feel so welcome. This really is a Patch of Heaven, can't wait to go back. Go see Randall, He's a HOOT !

Yelp
Went for their day long Awaken in Nature Spring mindfulness retreat with my wife and we had an exquisite experience. Suzanne, Anamarget, Tai, Randall, Sarai , Susan, & the entire team are a special group of people who each bring their own experience & insights to their practice. We opted for a vow of silence for the day and enjoyed journaling, guided meditation, Zen Buddhist chant, yoga, guided walks in nature, silent mindful eating at lunch, butterfly garden walk, sound healing, & closing ceremony for participants to share. Look forward to future programs. Truly a sanctuary in every sense; a magical patch of land in Miami-Dade to get away from the hustle and bustle and spend time connecting with oneself through nature.

Yelp
My best friend surprised me by bringing me here to celebrate my 26th birthday and I fell in love with this place. It was the most relaxing and beautiful experience. We walked the entirety of the premise but I cannot wait to come back to explore this place in depth. We got rained on but it was fine because we decided to shelter by the big Framboyan tree (Royal Poinciana). 10/10 experience! The staff is great and the place is beautiful.

Yelp
SO worth the price for a relaxing date. Lovely gardens and it's just such a calm and inviting place.

Yelp
This place was WONDERFUL. I highly recommend visiting, even with the $25 entry fee. Spend the day relaxing by the different gardens, taking a nap in the grass , bring a lunch to have a picnic. If you're looking to get away and have some quiet, this is a great place to do it.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
10/10 we loved the place. Didn't expect it to be so big and so many things to see! There should be more signs showing the way or detailing where you're at but besides this no complaints. We took a good 1-2 hours really enjoying the place, would definitely go back!

Yelp
Perfect name for this breathtaking place! Absolutely beautiful!! The gardens are very zen, the butterfly garden is dreamy, the pond with koi fish is gorgeous! We had food at the restaurant (which is open only on weekends) and the food is divine!! The virgin cocktails are delicious and the owner is a sweetheart! This is now my favorite place to go Highly recommended!! Go spend the day and let nature delight you!

Yelp
- Really enjoyed this place! - Their map needs improving but other than that I really enjoyed walking around and exploring for 1.5-2hrs - The offer horse riding for extra costs - I loved the butterfly garden, it looks like they have 3 main types - You can always find shade somewhere

Yelp
This is really exactly what it's name says. A perfect patch of heaven. My first experience here was unique in that we were there for a full day mindfulness retreat, but I couldn't say enough about the environment, the staff, the food, the grounds, the beauty, the details, and the love and care that is poured into this place. It's like stepping into a far away land... quiet and serene... in Miami, no less. It's definitely of the beaten path but SO worth it. Can't wait to go back with friends and family, for future events, or just to mosey and see where our feet take us. Hopefully to another glorious nap under the Tree of Life. Thanks to all that made my first experience at Patch so wonderful and magical.

Yelp
We booked a Garden tour this past Sunday to share this magical place with some dear friends. Randall was our guide and he was simply fantastic. His knowledge about all of the plant and animal life surrounding us was mind blowing. The best part was the way he shared his knowledge through beautiful stories. His warmth and care made the experience truly memorable for all of us and our friends who were first time visitors fell in love with this "patch of heaven" Thank you Randall for giving us the most beautiful day and for making my friend's birthday so special. We can't wait to get back there.

Yelp
This ain't no patch of heaven at 25.00 dollars entry fee. I can walk elsewhere for a lot better price and this doesn't even include a map. No thank you.

Yelp
What a beautiful hidden gem! Some of the most unique plants I have ever seen. This place is absolutely stunning and so peaceful. I recommend this for a date, field trip, or just for a 1-2 hour stroll.

Yelp
In quiet whispers, Petals dance on morning's breeze, Life in bloom unfolds. Beautiful paths through tropical plants with the sound of waterfalls. Very relaxing. Don't forget to visit the lovely cafe

Yelp
I ventured out to Homestead to visit Patch of Heaven. I heard great things about their initiative and outdoor/nature area. I purchased tickets online before arriving and they were about $23 a person. When you arrive, they show you a map of the area but it isn't the most clear once you're actually walking around. The nature and different areas are very nice. It's an enjoyable walk around the property. The koi pond area is definitely a highlight, as are the trees surrounding the property. There's a horse barn you can visit, and see and pet the different horses on the property. I do think it was a bit hard to get around and it's a little bit overpriced but it's still a nice way to enjoy an afternoon outside and contribute to conservation efforts.

Mia G.

Yelp
At first I was like okay, this is beautiful but wasn't moved. And then slowly each path led me to something even more wonderful and I wept. I cried a few times actually. Given all the things going on in the world, this is a space we all need to just reset. I have kept the experience to myself for a few days before sharing it with friends because I needed to process. You know when you are having a moment, and are so present you are fully aware this is something that will change you?!? That was me. Don't think about it, just go. Also, get the ginger honey.
google avatar

Claudia A.

Yelp
This is a very zen and magical place. Absolutely beautiful. There a few things that it lacks. A map or posts to let you know where you should go or see. It's very big sanctuary you don't know which way to go. Or if you got to see everything. They offer workshops . I did a workshop it included a meditation , painting rocks and the butterfly garden. Very nice , but thought the group should have been smaller. And no kids either. Other than that. It's worth visiting. Everywhere you turn you see beauty. The have a butterfly garden which is also beautiful. A pavilion which has great mock cocktails. Great place to sit and meditate or just walk and relax. Highly recommend it.

T T.

Yelp
This is a peaceful paradise and heaven on Earth. If you're a nature lover, you will enjoy the lush gardens. It also has a magical, mystical ambiance. Staff is pleasant and they even send a 'thank you for visiting' message afterwards. Great place to relax, walk, re-charge, and take dreamy pictures.

Yelp
Patch of Heaven is one of my happy places. They really have made a lot of changes. It felt bigger. First time eating there too. Chef Greg spoke with us and was so delightful! The food really is very good. Before finishing my tuna salad croissant sandwich, while talking to the chef, he mentioned he loves BBQ chips with his tuna. I had never had it so he brought some to add to my last two bites! Yum! I thought that was so nice of him. I recommend going early, walk around and work up a good appetite. Grab some lunch and enjoy. A wonderful Sunday for my daughter and I. Thanks Chef Greg and staff. We didn't come back for dessert only cause we are cutting sugar out. It all sounded amazing though!

Yelp
Patch of Heaven is a very beautiful location in the Redlands. They have lush greenery, and very thought out garden path. It makes for a lovely day stroll. My only complaint is that I find the entrance a bit expensive for what it's offering said that it may be more costeffective, if you live in the area to get an annual pass, which would then allow you to enjoy the grounds frequently out of much reduce rate.

Amlee S.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem and deserves more eyes on it. I just took my wedding pictures here although I had gone prior and fell in love with the space. Thank you so much Ashley for accommodating and being super friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Friday, and found some peace and tranquility. Everything was super gorgeous and well kept. There's signs at the main road leading to the entrance to help guide you, since the GPS throws you off a little. Paid $25, and got access to the whole property. It was pretty empty and even though there were a few people around, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. They said the whole walk around takes about 1.5 hours, but we were so taken aback by the atmosphere we easily spent almost 3 hours here. A bit of a far drive outside Miami, but refreshing for a day outside the big city.

Yelp
This is the most beautiful place I've been to in South Florida! It is literally heaven on earth! Highly highly highly recommend!!!!!! We were fortunate to go while it drizzled and it felt like if we were in a retreat in Costa Rica The restaurant also have fabulous choices to choose. I had watermelon salad as well as the hummus. Delicious!!!!

Yelp
Do you want to feel like Alice wandering through wonderland for the first time? This place was over an hour of driving for us, and let me tell you it was SO worth it. Every inch has something beautiful to look at (from koi ponds to bee houses to ferns growing on statues) and it's a good reminder that nature is truly an immersive experience. I want to stress that this isn't an ordinary garden, and photos don't it justice- you just have to go and see what I mean. After strolling through the incredible butterfly garden, and exploring the zen Buddhist garden, we stumbled upon a small open-air restaurant right in the garden that was serving a variety of mocktails and tapas. We had already eaten lunch, but couldn't help but order some croissants drizzled with honey made on-site. Next time I will make sure not to eat beforehand as the food all looked wonderful. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Maravilloso lugar! Todo es paz y armonía allí. Volvería y recomiendo conocerlo. Mucha naturaleza, muy bien cuidado. Felicitaciones!

Yelp
Heaven is all I can say about this beautiful place! I spent almost half the day and probably could have stayed longer. I packed my journal, water, and snacks and ventured to Homestead for the day from Miami. Upon arrival you are greeted and sign a waiver then the magical experience begins. Let the path guide you. Every corner place had a sitting place to meditate, write in journal or just sit and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature. I loved the waterfall and all the water sounds with butterflies flying around you and all over. It was peaceful. The beautiful bright koi pond. The zen garden where you feel relaxed and in awe of the beauty of nature. Everywhere are amazing sculptures and art work during your walk through the forest. I got thirsty and stopped at the cute bar. The serve mocktail as that were delicious and also simple food items to much on. I had a great experience and would love to come back for a retreat.

Yelp
I love Patch of Heaven Sanctuary and always recommend everyone I know to go because it's beautiful and the energy in there is just amazing. This review though is strictly for Greg the chef that's creating all of this delicious food and sweets in there. Greg is a delight of a person and he continuously comes out and talk to the customers that are all eating his food to share their feedback or to just have a nice and light conversation. He is an amazing human being and you could just feel that by speaking with him. Last time I passed by for some dessert I was able to speak with Greg again and after paying attention to the facial reactions of all the other people around me once they took the first bite of their food, I actually ended up trying 2 new desserts (guava and cheese cobbler and bread pudding) so in total I had 4 desserts in one sitting lol. I do not take it back since every calorie was worth it.

Rachel O C.

Yelp
This is the best place for a peaceful walk in their South Asia themed gardens. They have a good restaurant half-way through for lunch. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the crowded sights in the area. Admission was a little expensive (I think it was $20-25 per person and then you have to buy food so for my family of three we easily spent $150+).
google avatar

Lauren N.

Yelp
Beautiful place to check out for the day. You can even bring your lunch or snacks and sit out in one of the many gardens. Very dog and kid friendly! $20 admission for the day which I think is totally worth it. I just wish they were open until sunset it would be so beautiful at this time! Can't wait to come ba

Yelp
A wonderful place to experience nature and tranquility, I would definitely come back with the family and enjoy nature and different scenery that this place has to offer.

Yelp
Super deep down south but it's a hidden gem. So many different walkways to choose from & they even have a butterfly sanctuary. Beautiful spot.

Yelp
This place is cool. It's gorgeous and it has such a nice oasis type feel. Plus the food in the restaurant --to die for! Highly recommend

Yelp
Beautiful little gem hidden in Miami. I came here and did a self tour which was $20 at the door. It was well worth it. We took about an hour and half once inside and it was so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. They also have a place inside where you may order food and drinks. I did not try it but it did look good. I recommend this place for a nice amd peaceful afternoon.

Yelp
Amazing! My mother brought me along to this gorgeous sanctuary and spotted this restaurant during our walk. Greg was a wonderful host and head chef, made us feel welcomed and recommended his specialties and most popular menu items (the entire menu looked delicious)! The flavors and environment really set the mood and paired well with the scenery. We ordered the 3 am, Heavenly Humus, Tuna Salad sandwich with a Scary Mary and MotheREDa for drinks! Very refreshing, overall delicious and satisfied the cravings, hehe. 10/10 and we'll definitely come back for more! Highly recommend coming here

Yelp
I have lived in Miami for a really long time and have felt overwhelmed by quick infrastructure, construction and just the flow of city life. To have found this true sanctuary in the Redlands was a savior to my existence in the city. It just brings such a feeling of peace. It has such a beautiful energy. The people that work the land there are truly just so kind and hospitable. You feel transported to another place. Thank you for having such a beautiful place to come to, to enjoy, reenergize and heal.
google avatar

Cary R.

Yelp
My colleague posted some breathtaking pictures of the sanctuary on social media. I set up a Saturday morning hike with a few friends. We arrived at 930a and we were the only ones there. We made our way through the butterfly gardens, koi ponds and waterfalls on this 20 acre sanctuary. It took us about 1.5 hours to enjoy every nook and cranny. It's a hidden gem. Please take your water bottle you can refill on site , comfy shoes/sneakers you will not regret it.

Brianna D.

Yelp
So beautiful and definitely worth the price! The koi pond is ethereal. We were there for 2 hours, exploring all of the pathways.

Doug R.

Yelp
What a fantastic place. With both our busy work schedules we needed a quiet place to disconnect from the world. We found it here. Wandering the property there are so many spots to stop and rest from the hectic pace of life. From the back porch of the gatehouse, the rocking chairs at the cabin, a bench at the koi pond or the swing behind the horse barn, so many places to enjoy the serenity of this wonderful place. And do not miss having lunch with Greg and his team on Saturdays & Sundays! Very warm welcome, nice conversation and great cuisine. Feels like you're on vacation without leaving town.

Yelp
What an amazing place, so peaceful, relaxing, cleaned. The gardens are gorgeous, with lots pf details. Great place to have a nice afternoon walk and take pictures. Loved

Yelp
I have watched as this garden for years as it started to take shape. There are hidden treasures everywhere if you are a nature lover, plant geek or garden enthusiast there are rare and unique plants everywhere. For everyone else; come and see how amazing nature really can be. See it, smell it, hear it, touch it, and experience this natural hammock. World class garden! I love it! Yelp
If I could describe this place, and only one word, it wouldn't be difficult Amazing !! This place is beautiful, peaceful, magical I think the name says it all
google avatar

Eve A.

Yelp
Pretty place but very expensive in my honest opinion. Admission is $25 and for my family it was a very quick walk. We spent over an hour waiting to get our food at their restaurant. Owner of restaurant (pop up) was very nice and came out to talk to us and apologize for the long wait. He said they were understaffed but there were only two families waiting for food. He should've gone to the kitchen and helped out instead of talking to us for such a long time. Food: small portions and pricey. Spent $75 for 2 adults and one child. Had to eat again once we left park.

Yelp
Such a peaceful place, felt like we were on a whole different world. Staff were very very nice and we ate a nice meal ! So gorgeous

Yelp
Es un lugar precioso para ir con tu pareja o familia. Es muy tranquilo y estéticamente es lindo. Es un buen lugar para ir a relajarte un rato y disfrutar de la vista.

Yelp
Great places to relax and thinking in your self is awesome the only thing is confusing is the map and a food is good taste but not great, but that is not important, it is the place that has the leading role.
google avatar

Yelp
would definitely recommend. its such an amazing natural place. the admission was 25$ but most definitely worth it and is going to a good cause. they have MANY different walking paths. make sure you visit all

Yelp
I am in love with the massive garden. Oh just wait for a magical experience. It is a garden that has so much to offer. Once you enter their gates and you feel as if you are not in Miami or South Florida anymore. It was great to get away from the hustle of Miami. Even though I was there for only 2 hours, my visit was therapeutic. I wish they had a better map something interactive that could guide me on my walk. However that was the beauty of the experience. To follow your own intuition and just explore the grounds. The garden near the front entrance is just beautiful and they have so many species of plants. The butterfly garden/encounter area, has such a tranquil feeling. There is a waterfall in the butterfly garden that brings instant peace to your soul. I really did not want to leave the butterfly garden. Beyond the butterfly garden is where the real magic takes place. There are several Asian themed statues all over the garden. These statues exude a Zen vibe that is hard not to catch. If you are in a bad mood you will definitely not leave with the same feeling. They have a restaurant with cocktails and food. I met Greg at the restaurant that guided me on all of their fabulous menu items. Highly recommend the Hummus, light and refreshing. I was not expecting such high quality food at a garden. Everywhere you turn there is something to see. From the Buddhas to the wood carvings and the ponds, there is so much to take in and if you rush through the garden you will miss the spectacular beauty of the park. I am going back for sure. Go early because it gets hot fast and stay hydrated.

Yelp
Perfectly named. This Patch of Heaven Sanctuary is a breath of fresh air. Many delightful areas to feed the senses. The sounds, smells and feel of the gardens instantly bring a calmness through you. The koi pond is mesmerizing. Time slows down while you enjoy walking through all the different sections. There is something new to discover at every turn! Worthwhile!
