Great authentic Thai desserts and drinks conveniently located near AGO. Friendly service. Everything is made from scratch, you are truly supporting local here. They also make pandan cakes for special orders in advance. The Thai lime iced tea was so refreshing in the heat, and the curry puffs were the best tasting I've ever had in GTA. The Toddy Palm Cakes were more crumbly in texture than I expected. Will return for more curry puffs and try other menu items.

We ordered 2 thai green teas and mango sticky rice, I had separately ordered their vegetable puff as well. For the vegetable puff i would give it a 3 star cause it was not to my liking. If you enjoy soemthing sweeter then you may enjoy it. The Thai Green Tea however was excellent and the mango sticky rice was quite good too.

Google
Uh so I actually quite enjoyed the coconut pandan chiffon cake, that was quite great, there’s actually a decent amount of coconut in there. I kind of have mixed feelings for the rating, because I bought the big tea leaf bag before and rlly liked it, but the green tea was rlly underwhelming, it just tastes like sugar water, like I couldn’t really taste the tea at all despite it looking really green, like it’s super sweet and I don’t know if it’s cuz I asked for milk, there’s also quite a lot of ice, but there was barely any flavor to the tea, but the service was nice ig. *the drink looks a lot lighter green after mixing it. I hate to compare but I did had the green Thai tea at a different place, I’m not gonna list the exact spot, but like it was really refreshing, idk what it’s supposed to taste like and if it’s supposed to taste this sugary—but it’s not for my taste, I had to dump half of the drink because it was that sugary and watery, which was kinda sad because I don’t wanna waste money nor the drink and I quite never really dump out drinks :(((

Google
We were excited to try the Thai iced milk tea, but it was quite mediocre. The tea was sitting in a pitcher at room temperature and you could tell by the taste that it had been brewed hours ago. The cashier tried to upcharge us by offering the “richer” Thai tea, which is not listed on the menu. He then charged us more for the classic Thai milk tea that had been listed on the menu. To make matters worse, more than half the drink was ice as shown by our photos. Have had better tea and better service.

Google
wow. apart from having authentic homemade mango sticky rice, that was the best mango sticky rice i’ve had in the entire city. the mango was sweet and perfectly ripe. the rice honestly had the perfect texture - nice and chewy, and the coconut milk over the top was the perfect amount of sweetness - not too much, not too little. i’ll be recommending this spot to all of my friends and family! thanks tik tok lol

Google
Pad Thai ($16.50) and Curry Puff ($3) were both very sweet, authentic, and vibrant. I prefer less sweetness, but I am not from Thailand so please take my opinion with a grain of salt. The price of these dishes are excellent and I was happy to see that the Pad Thai had tofu and tiny shrimps! Staff are also very friendly and accommodating. The Pad Thai is very spicy (to me), so ask them to make it mild if you have a low tolerance. Highly recommend these savory Thai dishes! Much respect to this awesome business

I had the pleasure of visiting Patchmon's Thai Desserts & More, conveniently located one block east of the Art Gallery of Ontario, on the ground floor of a low rise block of cozy shops, on the south side of Dundas Street West beween McCaul and St.Patrick Streets. This family run business is a delight with the complete range of made homemade Thai dishes and desserts ready to take away available Thursdays through Sundays in walk-in or by pre- ordering online. Some of my favourites are the following offerings: Their prized SWEET DESSERTS: WOON KATI - Coconut Jellies - edible set of exquisite colourful flowers; TAGOE - Sweet Tapioca with Coconut Cream - The top salty coconut cream layer is balanced by the bottom sweet tapioca layer with young coconut and sweet corn when eaten together. MANGO WITH SWEET STICKY BLACK GLUTINOUS RICE -with al dente crunchy texture with fresh mango slices; KANOM TARN - Toddy Palm Cake / KANOM THUAY - Steamed Pandanus Cake- layered pandan (bottom) and coconut cream (top) together for a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. SAVOURY FAVOURITES: CURRY PUFFS - Hand-crafted pie with potatoes, onions, Thai seasoning sauce and curry powder.; Pad Thai Shrimp; SOM TUM -Thai Papaya Salad - Popular Thai street food originated from Northeastern part of Thailand. Spicy Ingredients: green papaya, carrots, Thai chilis, garlic, palm sugar, fish sauce, optional dry shrimp & roasted peanuts; HOR MOK - Thai Curry Fish Custard - red curry, salmon, minced featherback fish and vegetablesand tasty Croissant sandwiches Pricing is reasonable for the quality, freshness and mouthwatering tastiness of their selections. A winner!

Google
I went in because I heard amazing things about their mango sticky rice, however, when I stepped in, I saw amazing works of dessert art. Purchased a couple of things, including the pandamus cake --- usually, I find these overly sweet, however, this place has balanced the sweet and savory so well. Will definitely come back here again to try more items.

Yelp
They serve really good authentic traditional Thai dessert that is not easy to find outside of Thailand. My favorite is the Krong-Kraeng and curry puff. They serve some food item as well such as Pad Thai and Papaya salad. The staff is nice and helpful. You can also place an order online in advance or walk in

Yelp
Please note this is STRICTLY a review on their Curry Puffs because that's all we've tried here and I have to say, it was AMAZING. At only $3 (vegetarian) or $3.75 (chicken), they were incredible. They're fairly large for their price and the flavour was amazingly delicious. My MIL purchased us a couple to taste test as she ALWAYS saw people lining up - she had to check it out for herself. Once we tried it, I already wanted more! Apparently they sell out quite quickly so count yourself lucky if you find them later in the day. We went a couple weeks later on a walk and they only had the potato/vegetarian one available. Still delicious! Definitely check it out if you're in the area during their limited hours! Service was friendly too! Love me a family run business!

Yelp
The staff were so helpful in suggestions and directing us what to find where. I tried the curry puffs (delightful. Flavourful and a little sweet). We also got the mango sticky rice. It had a purple rice with a little more texture. The sauce and mango were perfect!

Yelp
Everytime we're in the area, my wife just has to drop by Patchmon's and try their desserts. She loves how they're not overly sweet and have interesting flavours. The favourite: Tagoe, which is this layered treat of coconut cream, tapioca pearls and corn. Yum!

Yelp
Gave the Thai coconut ice cream a go, though it was pre-served in the freezer. While the taste was right, with the characteristic intense coconut flavour of this dish, the texture was awful - super icy & hard to scoop, like shaved ice which had partly melted & had been re-frozen.

Yelp
I was passing by and noticed they were still open right at 5pm on a Saturday (their hours say they close at 5pm). Luckily, they still have some items available for sale. Their coconut cake looks so pretty in the shape of mini flowers in a beautiful pink and green colour so I had to buy a set. We ate that the same evening and it wasn't too sweet, it was lightly flavoured, delicious and chewy. I saw they had chicken curry puff on display so I had to order one to try. I personally like it and will go back for more. It was nice and flakey but not greasy. It was a good size and perfect to share as a snack! Next time I go back, I'd ask if they can reheat the curry puff. I feel it will taste even better warmed up!

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this place for a long time, but never made it due to its limited open hours (until now!). I got there about half an hour before closing on a Saturday, and there were lots of people picking up their orders. You can order ahead of time through their website or by calling them, or you can walk in and select from the various assorted desserts and snacks they have on display. There are so many options to choose from! A lot of the items are vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free (they use coconut milk / coconut cream, rice flour, and tapioca flour as the most common ingredients). When I went, they had special set packages for Asialicious. One of them was a "try a bit of multiple things" package, which consisted of Toddy Palm Cakes, Coconut Layered Cakes, Steamed Pandanus Cakes, and Cassava Cakes. Everything I tried was exactly as expected - delicious, not too sweet, and I could taste the coconut and pandan (my two favourite dessert ingredients). I wish they put more coconut shavings on all the desserts! Toddy Palm Cakes are unique because they're made using the fruit of the palm tree, mixed with coconut cream. These are probably my favourite, along with Luk Choup (mini jellies shaped and coloured like actual fruits on the outside, with mung beans in the inside) - this was a childhood favourite. The Coconut Layered Cakes (Kanom Chun) and Coconut Jellies are nice and chewy from the tapioca flour, with a nice aromatic pandan smell and flavour. Steamed Cassava Cakes (Kanom Mun) are a bit more hardy, but I still liked the texture and cassava taste. The Steamed Pandanus Cakes (Kanom Thuay) are soft and delicate. All the snacks and desserts there just remind me of the food I had as a kid, that we got from wet morning market. Everything tastes very authentic and nostalgia-inducing! It's not often that I come across a place that sells exclusively traditional Thai desserts / snacks, so this place is truly a gem (plus the fact that the location is easy to get to in downtown). As a family-run business, it has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, even as a small take-out place. The person who served us was super friendly and helpful. I'll probably go back to try some of their savoury items next time (e.g. Papaya Salad with Shrmps, Thai Fish Curry Custard, Curry Puffs), and to get more Toddy Palm Cakes and Coconut Jellies! They also have special savoury items every Saturday, that need to be pre-ordered ahead of time.

Yelp
I saw the sign for Thai desserts and I immediately made a bee line for the door. The store is small and really adorable, filled with beautiful displays of some of the many offerings that had me wanting to try one of... just about everything. In the front case are pieces of edible artistic coconut jellies in the shape of gorgeous flowers. Of course, I had to buy a mix of four. A set of four came with two flowers - both too intricate that I didn't want to take a bite. I didn't know what to expect, and was delightfully surprised that the jellies had a sumptuous coconut flavor and a firm but pleasant texture. There were also two golden egg yolk threads (foi tong) - I was told that each was made with one long thread to represent longevity. It's soaked in a jasmine syrup that had me eating both in one sitting. I also tried a mango sticky rice with black sticky rice topped with a coconut cream. The flavors were amazing, and I'm so glad I got the black sticky rice, because it had a firmer texture than a white rice, the mango was perfectly ripe, and the cream brought it all together. Finally, I also got three stuffed dough pyramids (kanom tian) for a savory balance to the other two delectable sweets. Wrapped in banana leaves, the mung bean, shallot, and black pepper filling was sticky, filling, and had a mild flavor that I can't even describe. If you see the sign for Patchmon's Thai Dessert, do the smart thing and check out their daily homemade items and daily specials.

Yelp
We passed by this place near OCAD and we want to have thai milk tea. We went in and it got a special that day for $10 for a dessert and milk tea. We ordered the sticky rice mongo, which was very good, warm and not too sweet. The thai milk tea was a bit watery. It is a good place for thai dessert.

Yelp
Patchmon is a family-owned small business and a place I've been wanting to try for the longest time but have never felt inclined to place a pre-order for their goodies. Was in the area and noticed people in the shop on a hot summer day. Was surprised to find out they are open on Saturday! Everything looked so good but just had lunch so opted to get a Thai curry puff and Thai lime iced tea. I wanted to be adventurous and try something different because I always get Thai milk tea! The lime iced tea was good but not mind-blowing good. The puff was delicious and not oily though. All in all, would visit again and would ideally try their desserts such as coconut jelly and rice/Jasmine cakes because they look so aesthetic and delicious!

Yelp
My friend has been raving about Patchmon's Thai Desserts for months. When she let me know about the store's Asialicious special, I had to place an order. I pre-ordered through their site. It was straightforward. I got the following items: - Asialicious set B (mango with black sticky rice, Thai iced tea, and Thai lime iced tea) - $10 - Small set of coconut jellies - $9 Prices include tax. You pay at the store and you specify a pickup interval. I chose last Saturday between 1:30 and 2 pm. I haven't been in this area for a while. The store is steps away from the Art Gallery of Ontario. When I attended Chinese school on Saturdays as a high school student, I would walk from roughly Spadina and Dundas all the way to the Eaton Centre. I don't recognize any of the stores along Dundas Street West these days. I do believe that Patchmon's is where Curry's Art Store used to be. It may have been a Chinese ink and calligraphy store well before that. I wasn't sure what the parking situation was like before I got here. There was a restaurant a couple of doors down with a makeshift patio on the street. A car was in front of it. Perfect! I parked briefly in front of this car and went inside the store to do my pickup. Aleen helped me with my order through e-mail, confirming that my time and day to pick it up was fine. I got to meet her at the store. She was so nice and friendly. For the coconut jellies, she brought three sets out and said that I could choose from them. They all looked so pretty. I eventually make my choice, albeit rather tough. A lot of their items are vegan. I was impressed. I saw vegan coconut ice cream and had to get some. She indicated that she also had durian ice cream. I immediately said no, which made her burst out in laughter. I'm not a huge fan of durian. Maybe my tastebuds will change down the road and I'll like it. I paid with my debit card. It was a smooth transaction. She put my Thai tea drinks in a tray, which I was so thankful for. I wished her a great day and headed to my car. I had the Thai lime iced tea first. So refreshing! I loved how the Thai tea and lime flavours worked so well together. I would have never thought of that combination. The coconut ice cream was yummy. It had little bits of young coconut in it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. As I continued to run errands throughout the day, I had the Thai iced tea. If you like the traditional, creamy version of it, go for this one. So good! Throughout the weekend, I had the desserts. I love the coconut jellies. They were so full of coconut flavour. The flower patterns were so intricately crafted. Delicious and photogenic! I had the mango with black sticky rice. Nothing that they make is terribly sugary, which I love. The natural sweetness of the mango worked nicely with the coconut cream on top. The black sticky rice wasn't all that sticky. There was a firmness that was enjoyable to eat in contrast to the mango and coconut cream. I had a wonderful experience. This place does have lunch specials and meals. I'll need to check them out next time. Last Saturday, my mind was on desserts and it still seems to be the case! (378)

Yelp
Patchmon's Thai Desserts is a family-run business where they operate out of a storefront at Dupont/Spadina. Currently they are only open on Saturdays for pickup or delivery (with a minimum order) during the pandemic. Preorders are made prior where you select a time for pickup if you opt for the pick up option. They specialize in a variety of Thai desserts that are specially handcrafted and made. Patchmon also has some savoury foods available for order as well. I preordered a variety of items from Patchmon's on Wednesday including their Thai chicken with rice dish, Thai fish curry with vermicelli, their curry puffs, fish custard, and premium coconut jellies. Since I ordered the premium coconut jellies set I had to send an etransfer prior. The ordering form online was easy to use and staff promptly answered any questions I had. On Saturday for the pickup, I arrived at my allotted time slot but still had to wait to enter the store as they only allow one customer at at time (the space is quite small). I waited about 5 minutes before entering. My order was promptly packed and the staff were extremely friendly during my short visit there. Food wise, everything was delicious! The premium coconut jellies were so beautifully handcrafted - I almost didn't want to eat them! Taste wise, they were not too sweet and very smooth tasting with a hint of coconut. Would definitely recommend ordering these for a gift (or for yourself!). The Thai chicken with rice was cooked well and the sauce that came with the dish was the real star. The fish curry vermicelli was unique and I enjoyed the fish balls it came with. Spice wise, it was not too spicy which I appreciated. The curry puff (I opted for the taro and mushroom savoury puff) was flaky and had a lot of filling inside. The fish custard was unique - I don't think I've tried anything like that before so it was good to try. I also got a Thai iced tea which was refreshing as well. Overall, friendly staff, prompt service, and delicious food! Definitely do go try Patchmon's if you haven't yet!

Yelp
Very delicious Thai dessert, colourful too, I order vegan, mushroom, chicken crunchy fried dumplings, coconut sweet dessert and fish thing

Yelp
I've only had Patchmon desserts at the Sweetery Food Festival but was so excited to see them open near Chinatown! One week, we also pre-ordered some hot meals, desserts, and drinks. The BBQ chicken on rice was delicious! The spicy sauce it came with was crazy good (I would definitely buy a bottle if they sold it). I wish their hot meal menu wasn't on a rotating basis. I would love to get the BBQ chicken more often. We also the green and regular Thai milk tea. Strong flavour and worth it! In terms of the desserts and pastries, the first time we went we got the coconut jellies shaped like flowers. Very beautifully arranged and strong coco flavour. However, a standout was the curry puff pastries! Overall, very much worth a visit! Some of the items are more pricy, but you do get what you paid for.

Yelp
Ok late to the show but I'd bookmarked Patchmon's ages ago to try and then completely forgot about going (especially being stuck in Covidland hell at the hospital for the past 6months)). SO I made a huge order to support this little tiny fam run toronto restaurant (because it would be a crying shame if we lost the only thai dessert place like this in Canada (at least I don't think any other place like this exists). They only take preorders for pickup & delivery on Saturdays and stuff will sell out, so order early! From top Left clockwise to the middle: Thai steamed #chicken on #rice (like a more incredible version of Hainanese chicken, I was in foodie heaven) hor mok #fish #curry custard (soo good) steamed flour w #coconut filling in #bananaleaves #egg #custard w #stickyrice coconut #jellies curry #puffs #taro custard sweet tapioca w coconut cream & corn center: coconut layered #cakes All so amazingly good and unique! I plan to order more to try next time

Yelp
Got to love supporting small businesses and this is one that's really special! They are only open on Saturdays from 12-5pm but you can pre-order to make sure you can get what you want which is exactly what I did (you can do this by text, email or DM through Instagram)! This process is super easy and then I just paid upon pick up at the store. The workers are super friendly and always happy to help make suggestions or explain anything on the menu. It's nice to be able to try some authentic Thai dishes and sweets right in the heart of Toronto without having to get on a flight to Thailand. I can't wait to return to try out some more of their offerings!

Yelp
Still amazing!! They've expanded their range to lots of delicious items. If you could only try one thing we would recommend the coconut cream with tapioca wrapped in pandan leaf- heavenly!

Yelp
My girlfriend is from Malaysia, and one day, a few weeks ago, she was extremely homesick; she especially missed curry puff, a southeast Asian staple food. Perhaps it was by chance that we stumbled upon this cute little dessert place. Since it's covid-19 lockdown, we ordered a few curry puffs as well as some other desserts for pickup. When we walked in the store and saw the curry puffs, they looked just like they did back home. My girlfriend was beyond delighted. We ate all of our treats in the car parked outside, and knew immediately that we had to come back here. I love that they have a main entree dish along with all their dessert offerings; it makes a perfect weekend car-picnic. We went back the following weeks and tried most of their desserts. By far, my personal favourite is their BBQ pork on rice; it reminds me of one of my favourite dishes in my favourite New York restaurant. My girlfriend's favourite is now the coconut shaved ice; it's dairy- and gluten-free and oh-so-delicious! We ordered one the first time and, after finishing it in the car, went back for two more. But by far, our number one favourite is their mango sticky rice. I've had mango sticky rice in Thailand a few times and also at pretty much every Thai restaurant in Toronto (yes, I've tried Koh Lipe's cool chocolate mango sticky rice), but nothing compares to this. Patchmon, the owner of the store, told us that, since the store is only open on Saturdays now, she starts looking for mangos starting every Sunday to make sure that she doesn't only get the bad last-minute ones on Friday. This level of dedication is extremely admirable, and of course, the mango rice itself is amazing. They use purple rice, which creates a less soggy and chewier experience. The staff are super friendly and welcoming too, always introducing us to new Thai desserts and explaining to us patiently what each dish is made of and the inspiration was behind the creation of the dishes. All in all, we will definitely be coming back! Thank you for making such great food and desserts and bringing a splash of southeast Asia.

Yelp
Tiny shop with delicious little traditional Thai desserts (curry puffs are amazing). Didn't try the lunch but it looks great & is only $10. Fyi, closes early and has seating for only 2. Very helpful staff.

Yelp
I was drawn in by the super high Google reviews and the fact that I was in the area. The shop was nicely organized and had many items. I would come again to try something else next time. Looking forward to trying one of their lunch specials. I got 4 items: 1. Thai iced tea ($3) - sugar not adjustable. Tasty and strong tea. Paper straw. I don't usually get this drink so I can't really compare or judge it 2. Curry puff ($2.25) - looks absolutely beautiful. Found it overpriced as it was soaked in oil, lots of batter (more than half was dough) and the filling had 1 square of potato. That was basically it. The curry sauce was very sugary and not tasty at all. 3. Pineapple butter cookie ($7/5 cookies) - found this expensive too but I did enjoy the cookies. I agree with other reviewers how I wish the cookie was thinner so that they would be more pineapple. The pineapple taste was quite mild but I liked their chunky texture that I do not get from grocery store pineapple cakes. Wish it was more flavourful of pineapple and more affordable. 4. Pink/yellow drops ($6) - shared this with several of my colleagues. no one liked it at all... At first I didn't like it either but the taste grew on me as I ate more. I liked the texture. It has a very smokey flavor, I would say this is the most prominent flavour. I could not tell what else was in there or if the pink and yellow candies were different flavours. My colleague said the candy tasted and looked like a candle. She threw it out. The candle like smell was so strong, it filled my apartment. Lastly, it left a very bad aftertaste in my mouth. I wish they would label their items with what they are and provide an ingredients list. Also an expiry or made on date would be nice.

Yelp
Step through their doors and you'll find yourself in a magical place where exotic spices and ingredients are combined masterfully to create beautiful and delightful desserts. Family run establishment where mom (Patchmon) runs the kitchen, sweet daughter runs the front and dad runs between the two areas to help. Aleen, the daughter, is a perfect ambassador for Thai culture. She can give you a lesson on how the desserts are created and the different cultural influences that make up Thai cuisine. ORDERED: - Chicken over rice: chicken was tender but bland. The accompanying sauce is an explosion of flavors: gingery with spices that leave a nice tingle on your tongue. - Winter melon soup (accompanying side) was simple and mild in taste, but a warm comforting soup with large chunks of winter melon. - Curry puff had a nice, crunchy exterior with a mild curry filling. - Thai iced tea was delicious and not overly sweet: a perfect compliment to any Thai meal. - Pineapple cookie reminded me of a fig newton with a more crumbly exterior. I thoroughly enjoyed my Thai experience and can't wait to sample more of their culinary creations.

Yelp
This place is cool and super unique. I tried the Thai moon cakes (kanom pia), sweet tapioca with coconut cream (ta goe), and Thai original custard (maw kaeng kai, a taro pudding with caramelized onions). The lady on duty warned me that Thai desserts can sometimes be an acquired taste for those who didn't grow up with them, as they tend to combine salty and sweet flavours. The flavours were certainly unusual - especially the smoky aftertaste of the moon cakes - but I very much enjoyed everything I ordered. 10/10 would recommend and will be returning.

Yelp
Incredible food! the best padthai we've ever had. Amazing, beautiful desserts! Everything was a hit with the entire family. And wonderful service. We will absolutely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

Yelp
It's gotten to the point now where if Suresh Doss recommends a particular eatery, I pretty much have to head there if it's within a reasonable distance. The man's palate is pretty flawless and Patchmon is certainly no exception. I assumed I'd just be getting a sweet item to try, but when I saw something called a Thai Curry Puff ("small pie consisting of our specialized curry with potato in a hand-crafted pastry shell"), I knew I had to order that as well. It's pretty similar to a samosa, though the flavors are quite different. It's definitely got a pronounced curry flavor, but there's also an underlying sweetness that's quite irresistible. I really enjoyed this. I also got the Kha-Nom Chun ("Thai Coconut Layers Cake"), which is certainly quite impressive visually but I wouldn't say I love eating it. It's got a pretty tasty and coconut-forward flavor, but the gummy texture kind of turned me off. I suppose your enjoyment of this one depends mostly on your tolerance for that texture.

Yelp
Bought the following: Thai flower-shaped gelatinous-cake; $6. Steamed pandanus cake; $6. Thai taro custard; $6. Thai moon cake, $6. Thai curry puff, $2.25 This place no AC on a hot summer afternoon. Most of their desserts are small and $6~$8 in price with taxes included. Taste-wise, not worth it. I find them expensive. Definitely hyped-up!!! I won't trust most of the 4 star-reviews on YELP.

Yelp
Everytime I want some food I check out what their specials are and see if I'm within the time range of availability. Today I was time range and the offering was of interest. Nothing I've ever had, sounded a bit strange but watching some videos of it convinced me that I had to try it. Thai fish curry custard. Yes! Custard. So, it's banana leaf on bottom lining the food. Then some veggies. Then the custard which is red curry mixed with coconut milk, some egg, fish and typically steamed. (This all from a video I watched). This particular preparation came with a small salad ( a bit bland), white rice and the my flavourful soup. It was absolutely delicious and a great value. Got some desserts as they are known for as well. The people there are a delight and speak with you like you are their friend wanting to get to know you. I will definitely continue looking at the meal menu to try more savory meals.

Yelp
You can learn a culture from their Desserts? Then come to Patchmon's Thai Dessert and More for a taste of "Real" Thailand and its People. The 2 sweet shop owners just reminds me of the kindness and hospitality of Thai. A big smile, A warm welcome and one got to try every single dessert available that day!! Just like other Asian desserts, nothing here is overly sweet. Some even has a balance of sweet and savory. Come here on Saturdays if you want to try some authentic dessert that needs special preparation. And of course you can always pre order some for pick up! For most up to date selections, check out their Facebook page. Patchmon's though a little far for me, but if I willing to travel to Thailand to eat, I should be able to come to Patchmon's for some of their sweets!

Yelp
I guess I was fooled by the high ratings. Tried the curry puff: very oily, little fillings, ended up throwing away the pastry because you can literally smell the oil Tried the pineapple cookies: bland, can barely taste the pineapple jam Also overpriced. Not recommended.

Yelp
Thai desserts are mostly made at the end of the week, so they're best from the beginning of the week to middle. It's a charming location, with a fresh layout. The people who work here are extremely helpful and passionate about their ready Thai treats. The layer cake, steamed one layer at a time are fantastic, and their jasmine cakes are super flavorful. Every day they have a few different rotating desserts on offer. It's worth stopping in frequently.

Yelp
If you have not yet try the authentic thai desert, then you must come here. All the deserts at Patchmon are carefully handcrafted, it's so unique, pretty and delicious. So far i tried the curry pastry, coconut panden cake and coconut jelly. I like the coconut panden cake a lot! It's so creamy and tasty. I also like the curry pastry, it's sweet, salty, and crispy. Coconut jelly, it looks pretty, tasted averge good. Beside the foods was delicious, the services were 5 * too. P/S most of the items are vegan friendly.

Yelp
If only people know how time consuming and everything has to be from scratch to make the authentic Thai desserts. Is also made to not only taste God, looks good and priced well enough. Patchmon has set and provided high standards for others as benchmark when it comes to Thai desserts in Toronto. They're only open certain number of days and not everything is same on the menu everyday. Check on the Facebook or website.

Yelp
I was so sad when they closed their Bloor West village location, but alas, they have reopened! They are now located on Dupont near Casa Loma. This is absolutely the best place to go in Toronto for traditional thai desserts. The portions can be small, but there is so much complexity and depth in the flavours. It's pure quality and you can tell Patchmon is a pro at this. They also switch up their menu quite a bit - my advice? Try everything! You won't regret it

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. Their desserts are fresh, tasty, bite-sized and feature lots of coconut/tapioca. They're sold in these prepackaged boxes for around $6 but depending on the dessert, you can also get them in single portions I think. The owners are also super nice about letting you sample desserts if you're unsure. My favourites: The sweet tapioca with coconut cream is fragrant and very unusual, with a sweet, textured tapioca base and some salty?! cream on top. The layers are interesting and the contrast in flavours is kinda reminiscent of salted caramel, but a lot less sweet. The coconut layers cake is colourful and shaped in flower patterns. It's a dense jelly and mildly sweet. If you prefer savoury treats, I recommend their fish cookies or spicy pork cookies (they're not that spicy). Honestly the owners are so sweet and hospitable that I keep coming back... and of course their desserts are delicious. Definitely worth checking out! (but bring cash since they're cash only) Also if you have a specific dessert in mind, it's worth calling them or messaging them on Facebook beforehand so they can make it for you since they don't make all the desserts everyday. They also deliver along the Bloor subway line if your order is $30+.

Yelp
I went there in a morning, and a portion of their shelves were empty, so not a lot of choices. I bought layered cake and tapioca with coconut cream. Both tasted ok, a little bit too sweet.

Yelp
I am Thai and I love Patchmon's dessert. Everything is very authentic and yummy... some of the desserts here tastes even better than in Thailand... Thanks Patchmon for making me feel like I am home. I no longer miss Thai desserts now that I found this place. It is even better that Patchmon has expanded to offer Thai food at lunch time as well. I hope she can expand our culture and our food more and more

Yelp
Happened to walk by today and saw that they were open and decided to stop in for the first time - so glad we did! The staff described every dessert to us that we asked about and were so friendly and welcoming! We took home the coconut cream jellies (beautiful jelly flowers) and pork cookies and both were so delicious and flavorful. Can't wait to pre-order next time and try even more items!

Yelp
The small "patisserie" for something as difficult to acquire as Thai deserts in this neighbourhood is very refreshing, if you live close by- which I do. The staff is very friendly and offer free samples. The shop is open Wed to Sat. I think it's amazing.

Yelp
Five years ago, I asked myself a question, "where can one try Thai dessert in Toronto?" Second questioned popped to my mind was, what was Thai dessert? That's when I realize the sad truth which turned out to be happy discovery. There was this little 2nd floor office that my Thai friend took me that had desserts on weekends, and it wasn't a restaurant serving Mango Sticky Rice {as much as I love it}. The colors and flavours were both a kaleidoscope to my senses. Four years ago, I found myself in Thailand and as it turns out I didn't have Thai dessert in a restaurant either but some street vendor on wheels. My Thai dessert horizons expands. Coming back to Toronto contracted my horizons once again but at the same time more unique authentic Thai restaurants appeared providing a minimal glimpse of hope. To this day, Toronto is still a sad wasteland for Thai desserts so by now you should guess my justified bias for Patchmon's Thai Dessert. Most of the desserts they offered while I was at the small shop was coconut heavy, gelatinous, or flaky. The menu was surprisingly big in my opinion which is a good thing for customers and along with Thai friendly customs, they may make your special request items {I believe they said if you go on facebook} but you'll have to contact them.

Yelp
We ordered 4 of Patchmon's desserts for a corporate event and they were all wonderful and beautiful! Patchmon helped us choose the desserts, providing detailed descriptions and ingredient listings. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with, promptly responding to emails and explaining how to store and serve the desserts. Our employees loved the desserts and only had amazing things to say about our event. A BIG thank you to Patchmon for your delicious creations and for helping make our event a great success!

Yelp
This small little job is super unique in the area. Specially daily made thai desserts makes a great little addition to a small gathering. They only open Wed to Sat. I found out the hard way. I finally made it in here yesterday. Cash only. They encourage you to try all the different flavours and desserts before you buy. Which is nice if you don't know what you're buying. Each box is of about 7-8 pcs are about $7, but you can mix and match. It's harder for the cookies and savouries because they don't make it every day. There is a rice gummy in the shape of a flower, a fresh pureed banana in a leaf, coconut milk (refrigerated), taro pudding (refrigerated), savoury cookies one with spices and one with mackerel, cassava cake with coconut. Also try the thai curry flaky pocket for $2. It was really yummy. They also have some desserts you can order online which is made fresh to order, that is made out of egg yoke. I also found out that they supply the desserts for some thai restaurants in the area (which is what they are doing on Mon/Tues).

Yelp
Dropped by to check out this new Thai dessert place in our 'hood. Super friendly staff encouraged us to sample almost every dessert they had to offer and we decided to get a small box of the coconut jelly cakes ($6). Patchmon's is a lovely addition to the area that is densely populated with European baked goods. When it comes to dessert, I'm a fan of every ethnic variety!

Yelp
My friend told me that I must try this place and I popped by today. I have to say after today, this is my favorite dessert place. I have egg and dairy allergy, as well as gluten sensitivity. Yet most gluten free vegan desserts offered in the market are filled with tons of processed ingredients and sugars. Patchmont Thai Dessert is the best, I appreciate their fresh and natural ingredients. Their variety of vegan and gluten free steamed desserts reminds me of South East Asia...very fragrant. Not too sweet. Oh..their curry puffs are mouthwatering delicious, it is not gluten free but is vegan. Must try!!

Yelp
If you are ever craving or ever want to try authentic Thai desserts give Patchmon's Thai desserts a try! They are the closest to being the authentic Thai desserts you will find in Thailand. They have very amazing variety which changes almost every week. These Thai desserts are not your typical desserts. Almost all of them are steamed and are made from coconut/milk/egg. They are not similar to any other desserts and you certainly cannot find these in any local market.. nothing can beat a freshly homemade Thai dessert and I believe this is the only place in GTA that offers that! I personally have never been to the store itself (they were kind enough to deliver them to me and both times were during the weekends.) They do not do regular delivery but I think on some days at certain times they may be able to deliver at certain subway stations or somewhere nearby to them. The owners are very friendly and very passionate about what they are doing. I'm happy to know there is a store that I can rely on if I ever crave Thai desserts ever again :)

Yelp
Where do I even start... an absolute nugget of astounding goodness. A fantastic mix of art, finesse, love and tastebud delight. Take some time to see everything they serve up, every single item there is great. From the delicate desserts to the savouries. Dig in and enjoy. The folks who run the place absolutely love what they do ... and it shows.

Yelp
Very small but cozy. They were so welcoming. Have periodically tried most of their food but that white one with a corn on top ( not sure the name), thai iced tea and curry puff is what I always come back for

Yelp
Right outside of Jane Station, on Bloor Street, is a special little place that sells a dessert type that I don't think gets a whole lot of recognization but really should. Thai Desserts. Truth be told, for the amount of food places I've been to...this one was a new experience all around. Entering into the shop, it's a tiny little shop with a couple tables on the right as well as a counter top, with an array of different Thai desserts...none of them I'm familiar with. I had a sample of the one with Pandan in it, which was gelatinous but really subtle in sweetness and it was really tasty. Another one, which I ended up buying was this Casava treat, again gelatinous, but the toasted coconut was really a nice compliment to the starchiness that is called Casava (I'm sorry for butchering the spelling for this). I bought a Thai Iced Tea and I thought the Iced Tea was really really good in flavour and the nice orange-y colour when the milk and double steeped tea is mixed together but I thought it was 2 shades over on the sweet side. Tone down the sugar level and I think you have a BIG winner right there. I think they are only accept cash (I didn't see a credit card terminal machine) so ensure that you bring some cash. I'm more than inclined to come back again and try the rest of what they have. I'd encourage, at MINIMUM, you make a visit there. It's unique, it's runned by people that are earnest, sweet and pleasant to be around, and plus they're desserts. How do you refuse a dessert, hmm?
