Stopped for lunch as we were walking through the area. The smells from the outdoor grill made us stop. Had grilled sardines, steak and fish. All the food was amazing. Prices were super reasonable. Service was friendly. Cash only but there’s an atm around the corner.

Gorgeous food, fresh and tasty fish, all freshly made; friendly, professional and helpful staff, very good location as well. The only thing no card payment, but that’s not really an issue. Good prices compared to the size of the portion and general quality of food. Would go there again next time I’m in town.

Great spot in the heart of Alfama — definitely worth a visit if you love grilled food! Everything is cooked over coals right outside, so you get to watch (and smell) your meal being made, which adds to the charm. The smoky air and the outdoor seating under trees and umbrellas make for a really enjoyable atmosphere. The food itself is simple but super tasty — sometimes that's all you need. Only downside was the service, which felt a bit disorganized, and it's cash only, so be prepared. Also, I’d skip the bread and olives — not on the same level as the rest of the food. Overall, a strong 4.5 in my book. Would definitely go back for the grilled meats and that unique vibe.

The best meal I had in Lisbon. It is nestled in a small patio area with a huge church overlooking it. The meat and fish is grilled there in front of you and was perfect. The owner and waiters are great and clearly take pride in their restaurant

As a German chef I come here for many years and I highly recommend this restaurant. You got authentic Portuguese food for a very fair price. For me it’s one of the best restaurants in Lisbon.

Beautiful spot in the heart of this historic area. Musicians tend to come and play whilst you are eating. The food is pure and simple, seasoned beautifully with not too much faff. It’s home cooking at its best in Portugal. Staff are attentive and extremely lovely. We tried pretty much every fish on the menu and loved every one. We also had the green wine which was gorgeous! Will come back again and again for sure. Best of all we only paid €20 each!!!
