This was a great place to stay in Lisbon. It was a good location, and the apartment was large and comfortable. The front desk staff were lovely and very helpful, giving us iced water when we arrived during a heatwave.|It’s accessible by car although it’s a very narrow one-way street. It’s on the side of the hill so there are some steps to go up or down, but there’s also an escalator if you follow Farinhas along to Eschadinas da Saude. |We stayed on a one bedroomed apartment – it’s in a separate building a couple of doors up from the one where the reception is and this is the building that has the pool. We were on the first floor of three floors – those on the ground floor have patios outside. There was an elevator for all floors. |I really liked our apartment. It was like a ‘normal’ apartment rather than a hotel one and was big, bright and cheerful, and had lots of room and storage. Temperature control was great, with double glazed windows - despite the heatwave (33-36 C the whole time), we only used the airconditioning a couple of times to cool it down during the afternoon, and didn’t need it at all at night.|Our room was on the corner of the street so if we left the blinds up, people could look up and see in a bit but it also had blinds to block that out and it got really good airflow. It was at the back of the building so no view over Lisbon – I’d probably book one of those next time although I was pretty happy with this one. |We had a kitchen area, table and 4 chairs, a lounge and a separate bedroom as well as a massive bathroom with a spa bath, sink, loo and bidet. |The kitchen was a full sized one including a fridge, and we got washing up liquid and sponge. |We had a comfortable king bed with two pillows and a bedside lamp each.|The pool was cool even in the scorching sun. We only used it once, but it was great to have it there. |There is also parking under this building next to the pool , and a gym and they looked fine although we didn’t use them.|To consider - I really liked this place so while there's a few things that weren't optimal but definitely nothing that would stop me staying here again. |The room cleaning was fine but the people doing it seemed to take hours and were very loud. We siesta-ed a few times and every time got woken by them shouting to one another between apartments. We also had an issue where our door needed a good tug to close it and we came home once to find it had not been closed properly and had swung open after the cleaners had been in. |The floors are polished concrete which transmitted noise in the building, so if you do stay on one of the upper floors, please consider your downstairs neighbours and slip off your shoes before doing your 10,000 steps at 11pm. |It was fiesta time and a live band set up across the road right across from us one night, obviously going to play into the night – we spoke to reception to see if there were any options and they said they were full, and they weren’t happy themselves but it would be finished by 12. Not much we could do about it and I ended up being pretty impressed at how much noise the double glazing kept out. The bedroom location was away from it as well so a bit of white noise on a portable speaker and me, a light sleeper, actually slept. And they did finish at 12.|All the front desk staff were great but the manager might need to review their own customer service approach – getting grumpy at the hot air getting in when guests struggle in the front door with suitcases isn’t very welcoming.|No full length mirror, be good to have one stuck on the back of a door somewhere.
