We had a wonderful two-night stay at Patios de Cafayete—Victor was incredibly helpful with our bags and even set us up with a de facto office in a room off the lobby while our room was being prepared. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, a perfect setting to relax and soak in the surroundings by the pool and listen to the many species of birds call out. And of course, the wines from the onsite vineyard were fantastic, perfectly complemented by the delicious meats served during our meals. Service was top-notch and the space itself was so beautifully designed. We wish we could have stayed longer…

The Patios de Cafayate Hotel is in the grounds of Bodega El Esteco, on of the oldest and best wine producers in this area. The arrival is down a long drive that passes through the vines growing on either side. The hotel main building is a period property and has a grandeur of its own.||It is some distance outside of Cafayate.||The reception is in a large sitting room, where the receptionist sits behind a glass screen, that clearly goes back to the days of Covid.||The staff were all friendly and helpful. When we checked in we were offered a free tour of the bodega the next morning. Unfortunately we had already been booked on a tour of another bodega, so worth bearing this in mind.||On the evening we arrived there was a pre-dinner wine tasting of one of their wines, which was lovely. ||The dinner itself was very good, with clearly a creative cook. The food was both tasty, well-presented and quite original.||Our room, one the ground floor was to be found down a long corridor and across a courtyard. It was of a good size with tasteful furniture. We had a view over the gardens. The bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning was quite and efficient, whether heating or cooling the room. The shower had a good pressure. There were sufficient sockets for guests to use to charge devices. When the wifi was working it did not reach our room.||While we were there they had problems providing a wifi service to guests. In the end they let me use the employees wifi, which had no problems.||There are lovely, extensive grounds, which are worth exploring.||The breakfast was good with a good range of options. It would have nice to have a good espresso, but this is not a problem unique to this hotel.

We liked this hotel with its welcoming stuff and unique winery vibe. Rooms were big, but not sound proof. Shower felt outdated.||We didn’t enjoy the pool (it was cold), but it looks like a great escape on a sunny day. ||We really liked the general quietness (it’s outside of the town) and the 5PM wine tasting. The cat is an extra bonus.

Excellent location en route to Salta, this large hotel is a little tired. Our room was huge but we struggled to get hot water for a shower. Larger groups tend to rock up so it felt noisy and rather impersonal but was fine for one night.

Lovely hotel, well maintained and very quiet at night. The location is smack dab in the middle of a vineyard. Complimentary wine served in the lobby at 7 pm. Good winery tour and restaurant. What’s not to like?

Very nice property, but about a 20 minute walk to not town. WiFi is hit and miss in some rooms. Connected to a winery. We had a tasting and tour that was great. Beautiful property and pool. Rooms are rustic but very comfortable. Good breakfast selection.

Yelp
We are staying here at the hotel and had dinner last night. This is a first class restaurant. The food was good and so was the service. It's a quiet place, except later on after people have had a few drinks. Leave the kids at home. While this place is family friendly, it's more of a romantic spot. I would eat here again.
