We read many recommendations for this bakery, but it was disappointing. We bought several croissants (apple, chocolate, almond) and some pain au chocolat. All of them were overly sweet, tasting of pure sugar, we couldn't eat more than half at a time. The chocolate on top was too much and extremely sweet.
The delicious thing about French pastries is the balance of flavours, being able to distinguish the quality of the butter, using dark chocolate, etc. But well, from what I read, this place has been around for many years, so it must have its fans.
