Stepping in here is like taking an immediate trip to the best corner of France. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive staff. The service here truly elevates the experience, every member of the team is genuinely warm, and clearly takes pride in what they do. It’s rare to find such consistently great and friendly service, and they deserve major commendation! The food, of course, is legendary. I absolutely must highlight the quiche, it is a towering masterpiece. The crust is flawlessly flaky, and the savory custard is light yet rich, packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It’s easily one of the best slice of quiche I’ve had both here in the US and abroad. And then there are the croissants. WOW. The regular croissant is a textbook example of perfection: golden, impossibly buttery, and shatteringly crisp on the outside while remaining delicate and airy within. But the chocolate croissant (pain au chocolat) is insane. The quality of the dark chocolate running through the center is divine, rich, melty, and perfectly balanced against the flakey pastry. Fun facts about the owner. Did you know Jean-Yves is a master pastry chef who has actually created specialty desserts for royalty, including the King of Morocco, and has catered for presidential flights departing New York City? It’s inspiring to know that someone with such an impressive pedigree is still here, dedicated to crafting the finest everyday pastries and food for his customers. In short,the place is a treasure.

August 2025: I enjoyed the ham and cheese quiche. It was a quarter of large thick crust quiche. Hearty and flavorful. We also split an apple tart - a classic French tart with egg custard ala Normandy tart. There are four outside tables, as well as inside tables.

Place is great! The service is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food/drinks are some of the best we have had. The chocolate croissant is a must have!

Lovely spot for a light lunch. We sat at an outdoor table. I had a ham and Swiss baguette sandwich. Great crusty baguette and fine ham. We split an apple Vienoise which was delicious.

Julia was friendly and helpful! 🤩 We will be back to try the pastries; they all looked super yummy, especially the chocolate eclair and GF chocolate mousse! Lovely cozy setting! We had a cup of mulled cider, a cafe latte and a cafe au lait. Delicious! ☕️❤️☕️ Looking forward to visiting there again soon! 😍

Came here with a friend today and we both appreciated the lovely staff, delicious food, and 5-star hot drinks. The Parisian mocha in particular is AS good as the best mocha I have found in Brazil, which cannot be beat (specifically Dengo!). Will be coming back for the coffee and friendly faces.

Originally me and my Wife were planning to go to different place for breakfast but because it was packed we end up here. I'm glad because it's paradise for people with sweet tooth. I ordered sandwiches and my Wife had quiche. Bread was fresh and crispy and quiche was according to my Wife "fuc^%& perfect". I ate two orders myself as you can see on the pictures. After we were done with breakfast we had to try there chocolate chips cookies. So delicious, that's what I'm calling legit chocolate chips cookies. So yummy. My wife also grab croissant with chocolate for later. Place is very convenient, you pay after order and when you done, you just bus your table and go so you don't have to wait for check. Strongly recommend.

The stars are for the mocha latte I ordered. It was good but average. I also ordered an egg and cheese on a croissant. The cheese was excessive and the croissant very greasy. I had a few bites and threw out the rest. Honestly, I’ve had better breakfast and espresso at home. I should have tried their sweets, as the pastries looked amazing.

Adorable pastry shop! Loved the ambiance with French music playing in the background with a very acceptable volume. We had to stop after I read some reviews and I love pastry shops in general. We tried several things but my favorite was the fruit tart. Our daughter simply adored the macarons with the different and unique flavors! My husband enjoyed the eclair and our son devoured this mini chocolate cake. I would definitely recommend this place but hoping that the service will get better.

I had an excellent latte here ($6) and the atmosphere was great. Service was quick, and I didn't have any difficulty finding seating even during a busy weekend morning.

Went here for a late lunch on a Wednesday with a group of two. I ordered the raspberry and brie croissant sandwich with a hibiscus mocktail. The sandwich was listed to come with a side salad. The sandwich was good and had a lot of raspberries for the size of the sandwich. The side salad only consisted of a bit of lettuce - it could have used some other ingredients to be a full salad. I would definitely return to try some of the pastries and other lunch dishes.

Grabbed coffee and pastries here this morning and left feeling very satisfied! Cute little French bakery. Lots of seating inside. Wide selection of pastries and desserts. Coffee was delicious. Very rich and flavorful. I really liked the cinnamon roll. The icing was perfectly sweet and the walnuts on the inside gave it a nice crunch. Lovely little place. Service was great.

Ever step into a bakery and when you look at the showcase of food, everything looks outstanding? That's what you get here. What a variety of French pastries, cookies, croissants, and all the decadent things breakfast or your cravings bring your way. We ordered 8 (yes, I said it...8!) pastries. The almond croissant was fantastic. Flaky croissant, lots of almonds, fresh and warm. Actually, all the pastries were warm. From an oversize chocolate chip cookie, to cinnamon rolls, to chocolate croissants every pastry was fantastic! Can't wait to go back and try more. They also will make specialty sandwiches such as spinach on a croissant and other assorted delights

My goodness, yes. The pastries, the adorable layout of the place, the decor. It's like taking a step into France and for a rural Maine girl, it's a dream. It's been years since I've been, so I honestly can't remember what the service was like, but I do remember I never had any issues. Miss this place!

Two stars for unfriendly service and because this bakery is not allergen friendly. There was one person ahead of my husband and I in line to check out. My husband was behind her and I was by the glass waiting to ask questions about the pastries. The cashier did not address me at all and went on to my husband without coming over to see what I wanted, so he pointed out that I had questions. I ordered an apricot pastry and a blueberry pastry. Both were placed on a tray covered in almonds. I told the cashier that I am allergic to nuts and she told me that there are no nuts in the pastry. I pointed out that she placed the pastry on top of almonds...she looked at me blankly until I asked for the other blueberry pastry that had not touched the almond. She placed it in a bag and then tried to place the apricot pastry from the tray in another bag-- again, I had to ask for a new pastry. The lattes don't come with cute designs but they're fine. The pastries were fine. Seated outdoors there are a ton of bees, I think because of the choice of flowers. We got up and stepped away and like four bees swarmed my pastry. It was a strange experience overall.

Decent place with good service. Drinks tasted like they should & they had a great selection of pastries. Macarons were good but they should not be served ice cold--the flavor lacks. Chocolate mousse seemed to hit the spot.

Just spent over $8 on a chai latte that was only filled up half way and taste nothing like it should. Disappointing. The service and ambiance were fine.

Recently went for a ricotta , spinach croissant only to wait over 5 minutes and have it be over heated. Way over priced!! Totally disappointed.

Disclaimer: I am notoriously picky with Hot Chocolate. And since I haven't been a coffee drinker in almost 15 yrs, my Hot Chocolate better be damn great. As a general rule, I usually have to call ahead and ask about what type of chocolate is used because I don't want to walk away with a brown water mess like Dunkin's or Starbucks' "Hot Chocolate" or equally worse, Swiss Miss, or a cup made with Hershey's syrup. Patisserie Lenox's 'Parisian Hot Chocolate' grabbed my attention and since we were in the area, I wanted one to have with a bread I'd gotten. Plus I was told,"we make our Hot Chocolate with a Dark Ganache". Great- right? No. Nowhere close to it. Because despite their "ganache, Parisian hot chocolate" claim, everything I dislike most of a tasteless "Hot Chocolate", is what I got on a Sunday morning. Hubs enjoyed the 2 mini Blueberry and Raspberry tarts I picked for him and my moist Brownie was good (think of it as a 'fudge' texture- not the floury kind). Patisserie Lenox's style is cozy though with lots of seating and French pop music playing. And will mention, service is terrific.

Excellent French restaurant for soups and sandwiches! They have all the French classics: quiche, French onion soup and always consistently delicious. Highly recommend!

Food is ok. Not great. The pastries are not really up to my standards of authentic French. People are nice and the place is cute.

OMG! Dante once wrote "abandon all hope ye who enter here". Upon entering your eyes will feast upon a pastry case where and you will gain weight just by looking at the mouth watering selections. These are not ordinary dessert items. These are true French pastries. Freshly made attractive morsels that you will likely find unable to resist. They also have a somewhat small regular food offering that also will not disappoint. The food is prepared fresh so don't except "fast food" service. In our recent visit it took approximately 1/2 hour from the time we placed our order for it to be delivered. Because we are weak, while we were waiting for our food we fell victim to the pastry case. I rationalized our lack of will power by thinking "you stretch before you run". To be prepared for our food items we warmed up with some elegant pastry items - that I am too embarrassed to enumerate. Suffice it to say that our pastry "appetizers" were exceptionally pleasing. The regular food items are also excellent and for sandwiches, the croissants or baguettes they serve the on are magnificent. Of course things this decadent are not inexpensive. That being said, you will certainly enjoy all of your selections. Just, as I mentioned, be prepared for a bit of a wait to receive them - of course there is always the pastry case to work on while you wait!

Fine desserts of a high order. Napoleons, cho chip cookies, chocolate mousse, it's all fab. The lunch offerings are pretty pricey.... but it's a great spot.

It's a cute little coffee shop with some outdoor seating, plenty of indoor seating, clean bathrooms, and delicious desserts and drinks, both hot and cold. I've tried a number of them over the years, and while not cheap, you get what you pay for. There's two hour street parking in front, and a municipal lot around the corner, behind the theater. A great stop for us on the way to/from northwest Connecticut. Depending on the flow of people, there's occasionally a long wait, or no available seating, but things generally move in a reasonable amount of time.

Nice eclair; Nice chocolate croissant; Nice plain croissant. Nice iced coffee. Nice service.

Today I ventured back to my new favorite town of Great Barrington, MA and visited their French café, Patisserie Lenox. I love everything about France and the culture, it was even one of my majors in college, so I was super excited to try it! We got a croque monsieur and a mushroom béchamel over puff pastry and I can't put into words how great it was and of course I had to get half a dozen macarons to go We got to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful weather, couldn't have asked for a better day trip to the Berkshires!

Went here after sking Parking around back was easy They were pretty busy Tried to get order to go Lots of selection Took a while for some one to come up and take order First guy was a boob we asked him several questions Each answer was like he did not work there long or worse Tried to be patient greatfuly a woman came to help him We ended up getting less because the guy who started our order started boxing stuff before asking if that was out whole order Food was great but might handle my order differently next time Also their advertised hot apple cider is spiced ( never said on sign or mentioned when ordering ) Eggclair was good moose was yummy and daughter liked macrons

Popped in for a coffee , lemon tart, and a cannoli. Loved that my baked goods were wrapped in a beautiful box. They were a delectable treat during our xmas holiday

Fantastic pastries and coffee. Marred by slow and inattentive service by teenage counter staff. Unable to timely make a hot drink when we were the only patrons at the counter. Then surprised and overwhelmed by a small line. Time for staff training.

I heard many good things about this place before I finally got a chance to visit. We got here in the afternoon, when there was only a few items left. Croissants were out. We had eclair and chocolate cookie. Eclair was so soggy. Cookie was okay. Service was slow and mediocre. I was not impressed at all.

Friendly staff and delicious pastries. I got a 6-pack of macarons and thoroughly enjoyed them. Sour cherry, elderflower and pistachio were my faves.

Food was good to slightly above average and likewise the atmosphere... but the pricing was crazy high retaking to tge just average to slightly above average dood and setting.

Bad service, mediocre pastry, high prices. Ambiance is OK. I have tried this establishment several times and nothing has changed. Time to skip it next time.

The quality of food is generally great however on our last two trips we ordered some macaroons. They used to be a good sized cookie, now they are much smaller and one was as small as a nickel. Staff is always overworked, you must wait for quite a while to be served. Their prices keep going up and sizes getting smaller. I know it's tough in restaurant world especially with COVID, but I'm not too excited to return again.

I am always given the task of bringing dessert for Christmas since I excel at baked goods (we all excel at something), and looked at Patisserie Lenox's website and FB page to see what they offered. Everything looked good and the Yelp reviews were positive, so I ordered an Apple Raspberry tart which was one of the "Christmas Menu" offerings. Picked it up Christmas Eve and it was boxed up and looked like a gift itself with a gorgeous bow, but as we know, pastry is all in the taste. This tart was DELICIOUS. My family loved it, and my Aunt (who spends the Summer in Becket) asked at least 4x if it is available during the Summer months. While I was waiting for it to be boxed I did a thorough scan of all the pastries in the case and on the counter, and decided this place is first rate....

Stopped in for a few items to take home on a rainy day. There was one woman behind the counter who was cleaning up what appeared to be a coffee machine disaster. She kept shouting for help from the staff in back, but nobody came to assist her. After 5 minutes or so she was able to help the customers ahead of us. She got them their pastries and turned to me, but I told her to get the previous party's coffee orders first. She did, but one of them was wrong and had to be redone. After a lengthy, effusive apology, she remade the beverage, all the while loudly repeating that this was why she shouldn't be left alone behind the counter. Finally, two servers appeared from the back. I was able to quickly place my order and go. I was excited to get home and try my purchases, never having been here before. Alas, they were disappointing. I got: 1. A sour cherry, danish-like item. This was delicious, and I would get this again. The pastry was too soft, however, making it difficult to eat out of hand. 2. A mini eclair. High quality chocolate glazed the top of the serviceable, if unexceptional, choux pastry. The pastry cream filling, however, was excessively sweet and poorly strained, leaving an unpleasant mouthfeel to add to the cloying sweetness. 3. Mini cup of chocolate mousse. Disappointing. The whipped cream on top had a frosting-like consistency and mouthfeel, and it did not taste of cream. The mousse was more like a whipped ganache than a light, silky mousse. It was discomfitingly firm, and left an oily slick coating in my mouth. Overall: disorganized and poor service, mediocre - but expensive! - products. Not worth the time, money, or calories.

Pricey but great food and pastries. Nice ambiance. Seems like a popular spot for locals.

Always 5-star! Our first visit since March this year and the food is as gorgeous as ever. I can just sit all morning and enjoy my coffee.

So my adoration for this one particular almond creme with a touch of chocolate pastry has trumped my avoidance of sweets and all things French. I simply can't get enough of the whole atmosphere here on Main Street...sitting out and watching the passer byes....humming with the Girl from Ipanema while I sit and read, enjoy a coffee and dream about my love in a far away land.

Stumbled on this place after walking around Great Barrington to find most restaurants closed on a Tuesday of vacation week between Christmas and New Year. Seating is tight, not sure why the large table in the middle of the room is used for random displays vs. seating, or ditch the large table for several smaller ones. Wait to order was not long, and food came much quicker than expected. There is no system, so it seems, but they found us and delivered our food efficiently. We were very appreciative and expressed it, and received zero response. My soup was barely lukewarm but still tasty. Sandwiches were tasty, but overpriced for thin sandwiches without much meat. Staff and service were fine, but noticeable that not one of them smiled, the entire time we were there. And there is no floor management. A couple with an infant sat at a table for 4+ people for at least 30 minutes after they had finished their meals (they were still there when we left) meanwhile the line was almost to the door most of the time we were there and a party walked out because of lack of seating. Turnover is key and there is a polite way to usher out a party who has overstayed. Overall it was fine. Service was efficient, and formal. Don't come here looking for a cozy, welcoming environment. For $62 for two tasty but skimpy sandwiches, two soups and two beverages, it's likely we won't be back.

Stopped by close to closing time. Efficient service. Ordered three pastries to go: Raspberry almond brioche, blueberry pastry, and raspberry custard tartlet. Delicious. I loved the tartlet, and my husband loved the other two. Win win.

We stopped at this cafe for dessert and coffee. The decor was beautiful. I really liked the set-up of the seating. The staff were very nice and answered all our questions about the desserts in the case. We decided to split a flourless chocolate cake and a napoleon. The chocolate cake was delicious--decadent and rich. The napoleon was good, but not the best. The cream filling was a little too sweet. I had a cappuccino as well, which was perfect.

My gf's parents live in Sheffield. We were en route to N. Adams to visit MassMoCA. We felt the need for good coffee and pastry and stopped in to this place as we were just coming through town. We had HIGH EXPECTATIONS/HOPES since 'Patisserie' is somewhat of a high-falutin' term in the Berkshires. I'll keep this brief: 1) The 'almond croissant' was EGGY, not BUTTERY and had ZERO MARZIPAN inside. It was basically a popover dusted with sugar and slivered almonds. Not an Almond Croissant. 2) The cafe au lait - well. The coffee was just not that good. There are tons of good roasters in the area. This place needs to seriously up its coffee game. 3) lots of macorons - but the colors all seemed a bit too saturated/bright.. just .. off.. So - we did not sit down, we did not order a meal.. but we were SERIOUSLY underwhelmed by our experience of take out and by the sight of all those garishly colored macorons in the display case. I don't think we'll be stopping there again and I advise you to find someplace else for your pastry/coffee to go.

I wish the service here was better. I LOVE the almond croissants. Overall, the food is consistently excellent, but the unprofessional youngsters behind the counters spoil what could be a perfectly lovely spot.

I've never been particularly fond of macarons, but when I went in and saw their selection, I decided to try a few! I am so glad that I did - they were SO GOOD! I wish I didn't live almost 2 hours away, otherwise I'd be here all the time! Planning my next visit back, and I'm bringing friends!

This Cafe feels both calming and fun to be inside. The drinks are all refreshing coffee drinks, especially after something from a chain. I was especially impressed with the treats in the front and side case. Do yourself a favor and visit this place soon! The flavors of macarons are not what you typically find and are done very well. 10/10

Absolutely phenomenal desserts. Got a cherry danish and a slice of chocolate cake and brought them home and my wife and I are kind of on cloud nine - damn they're good!

We had some delicious pastries at the Patisserie. This is the second one we visited. The interior is cute and they offer plenty of selections.

I have always loved their pastries (especially macarons) but had a poor experience yesterday with a spinach and ricotta croissant sandwich. I was looking forward to a flakey delicious croissant and what I received was a flavorless frozen microwaved croissant - flat and rubbery! I couldn't even taste the ricotta, it was mushed down and rubbery. However, the soup was delicious. My advice - stick to the pastries (maybe the soups) but ask when they were made - macarons are not made fresh every day.

I'm back in Great Barrington for another short vacation with the goal of trying a few new places that I haven't before. That started with my and my girlfriends visit to Patisserie Lenox for a small snack. We weren't disappointed. We walked in and were immediately drawn to the pastry case full of incredible looked macarons, fruit tarts, cakes, and many other French baked goods. Craving a croissant (and due to our love of chocolate), we decided to split a chocolate croissant. Somewhere around $4.50, the croissant was delicious. Very buttery and a good amount of chocolate. With that said though, I still paid $4.50 for it. I'll definitely come back to Patisserie Lenox (most likely for one of those delicious looking macarons), but will have to pay attention to my wallet!

Absolute bakery heaven. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with that deliciously warm scent of bread and chocolate and whipped cream... I opted for the chocolate eclair and chocolate chip cookie. The eclair: So light and fluffy yet incredibly rich & indulgent. The creamy middle was offset by the hard chocolate topping (which was sprinkled with MORE chocolate)...seriously though, the quality of the chocolate is just incredible. (Hint: I just really enjoy chocolate). The cookie: don't be fooled by how it looks. I was sceptic all at first because it appeared flat and burnt but I had to try just to see. And boy was I wrong! The cookie was filled with layers of that same great quality chocolate. The edges that appeared burnt were actually caramelized and delicious. And flat it was not! It was actually huge and I only finished half. My fiancé got a brownie which he said was great but rich-almost too rich. But "too rich" isn't in my vocabulary and he isn't the one writing the review:) There were also other great things: fruity eclairs, fruit tarts, breads, cinnamon twists, blondies, & more. I will admit it was a bit pricy but worth it so I couldn't knock off a star.

Reliable spot for a good cup of coffee and a pastry. The interior could use a face lift and seems like the staff is overworked. Our server was pleasant and made a great capusino

Patisserie Lenox, a quaint French bakery filled with pastries so beautiful they qualify as art. The worst thing about this place is simply how hard it is to choose just one! Their savory items are just as appealing, and no matter what you get, you'll want to come back for more. One of the best cafés in the Berkshires, and a must-see for any tourist with gourmet taste.

Such delicious dishes, coffee and treats. It is best when it is warm enough to sit outside. I recommend the dirty chai, spinach ricotta croissant, and the small raspberry tarts and macarons!

Great pastries and food. Service on the other hand, really really takes away from the experience. They are constantly under staffed or just not paying attention. It takes forever for them to do the most basic, fundamental restaurant tasks. They are clearly and consistently in over their head. They can bake like crazy though. If you very patient and feeling extremely mellow, then definitely try some of their pastries. But otherwise, good luck.
