Oberweis in Luxembourg is one of those places that immediately puts you at ease — bright, clean, and quietly elegant without ever feeling stuffy. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted by an irresistible display of pastries and savory options: flaky croissants, colorful tarts, crusty breads, delicate cakes and a thoughtful selection of sandwiches and quiches. There’s something for every mood, whether you’re craving something sweet with your coffee or a more substantial savory bite for brunch. I visited for a relaxed weekend brunch and loved how many choices there were. The breakfast menu includes classic morning staples and a few pleasant surprises, and the brunch options felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Coffee was well-brewed and paired perfectly with the baked goods. The seating is comfortable and the atmosphere is calm — a great spot to read, catch up with a friend, or enjoy a peaceful solo meal. The staff are warm and attentive; they genuinely want you to have a good experience. A small note: a few team members speak limited English, so sometimes you might need to explain simple requests like asking for straws or an extra plate. It never felt inconvenient — just a gentle reminder to be patient and friendly in return. Simple gestures and a smile go a long way, and the staff are quick to help once you ask. The real highlight for me was the Rieslingspaschtéit, a traditional Luxembourgish meat pie that Oberweis does exceptionally well. It’s rich without being heavy: a buttery, flaky crust encasing a savory filling that carries a subtle, aromatic note of Riesling — a delightful nod to local flavors. It’s comforting, distinct, and something I’d recommend anyone try to get a true taste of Luxembourg’s culinary tradition. Overall Oberweis is a delightful place that balances quality and charm. Clean, relaxed, and full of delicious options, it’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a leisurely afternoon treat. If you’re in Luxembourg and appreciate great pastries and thoughtful, local specialties, give Oberweis a visit — you’ll likely leave with a smile and maybe a box of goodies to take home.

Incredible experience! We're big fans of patisserie and we tried different kinds of tarts and pastries. The flavours did not disappoint. The matcha and coup de cœur ones were especially tasty. Considering it's Luxembourg and that the quality was exceptional, the price wasn't bad.

A wide variety of pastries, from tarts to cakes to eclairs. They also have savories like croissants, quiche and sandwiches. There's also a small retail corner selling their house chocolates. Couldn't decide between the Tartlette Citrone and Coffee Eclair, so I got both in the end. Not usually an eclair fan but I saw raving reviews of it. It's a fair size for the price (€4.50), the coffee cream was good, I wished they went easy on the caramel on top of the puff. I enjoyed the Lemon Tart, a good balance of sweet and sour in a buttery tart base. They close early at 6pm, in fact from 5-ish, I saw them turning away dine-in guests but you can still buy as takeaway.

I went to that cafe while I was in Luxembourg. The service was quick, and it was well-organized. I spent ages trying to decide which pastry to get because there were so many interesting ones. I opt for the salmon puff and the pistachio brulle. The names are different, and I can't recall what's its called, but I've attached the image of the dish. The taste was good and well worth the money and effort.

If you’re in Luxembourg, Oberweis on Grand Rue is a must. The pastries are some of the best you’ll find in the city: fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. Pair them with a cappuccino (one of the smoothest I’ve had here) and you’ve got the perfect break. It’s right in the heart of town, so ideal for a pause while exploring. A true Luxembourg classic!

Oberweis is nothing short of a food paradise—an absolute must-visit for anyone travelling to Luxembourg! This multi-storey culinary wonder is packed with unforgettable dining experiences, making it the perfect place to enjoy quality time with family and friends. Our lunch with a group of friends was simply outstanding. Every dish was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavour, and there were plenty of delicious options for the little ones as well. The seating layout, with its circular sofas, made for a comfortable and sociable dining experience—ideal for lingering over great food and conversation. But the true highlight? The moment you step inside—or leave—you’re greeted by the most stunning, mouth-watering selection of desserts. Each one is a masterpiece, crafted to perfection. I only wish I had four stomachs to sample them all! The few we shared were nothing short of spectacular. Oberweis alone is reason enough to book another trip to Luxembourg. If you love exceptional food, this place belongs on your bucket list. Absolutely sensational! 🍰✨
