As a firm believer in Biblical history and New Testament accounts, this visit was a spiritual inspiration for me. To imagine the Apostle John exiled here, with all of his life experiences, scriptural accounts, recordings, and revelations...let's just say that this stop for me was elevating.

Such a sacred place to visit! Whether you’re Christian or not, this is where St. John is said to have written Revelation. The monastery houses an incredible collection of artifacts, and the whole area feels steeped in history. It’s peaceful to wander through the town—and if you’re feeling adventurous, take a dip in the water for a refreshing swim. A day trip is plenty, but if you really want to soak in the holy vibes, consider staying at the Marriott (I hear it’s coming soon!).

Cool island. The monestary and Revelation Cave were just OK. It's a nice stop over, but I can't see staying very long.

This is where St John wrote the book of Revelation in his old age. You can visit the cave where he lived and wrote the book. The monastery has a priceless collection of books, vestments and artifacts.

My mom, tour group and I have come to this place in the past this is because this is where the great book of revelation was written. Also, there were lots of people there taking pictures and looking around. This place has lots of bible history to it.

Beautiful island. It is also if significant Christian relevance as the Apolapsy by St. John the divine was written here.
