Stunning family run hotel, location a few minutes walk from a bus stop that comes to/from the train station, and a few minutes walk from main town square. Great breakfast, enough to satisfy North American or Brit travellers. Rooms well kept, plenty of space as far as European standards go … only reason for four stars in the room was the mattress was quite hard (maybe new) and the shower was VERY small. Overall highly recommend, would stay here again!

Absolutely fantastic. The hotel, hosts, and location all was perfect. You feel just like home. Breakfast served from 8:30 to 10:30 . Close to the main streets and Markt. Will definitively highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Bruges.

Cannot recommend enough! Unbeatable location, beautiful and clean rooms. Smack in the middle of the city and 5-10 minute walk to most locations. Front desk was very helpful and there are two beautiful small rooms in the lobby in which to sit or relax. There is also a stunning courtyard with a large beautiful tree, during our stay it was slightly too cold for us to hang out there, but during warm times I imagine it is a relaxing and wonderful place to sit. We booked a standard room and it was more than enough space- large, comfortable bed and beautiful details throughout the room. The main gates of the hotel close at 8pm on weeknights and 10pm on weekend nights, so if you are planning on checking in later than that just remember to contact the staff. Absolutely beautiful hotel, amazing value for money, stunning rooms! Can’t recommend enough.

Charming small family run hotel on a quiet street near the Market. Great hosts with good suggestions for places to visit or eat. Very flexible about accommodating early breakfast need the day of a tour. Lovely courtyard garden. ||Odd shower arrangement.

The man on reception is the most surly miserable man, not welcoming at all. Our room was in the new annex which was nice although pillows were terrible and beds very soft. Aircon good. Bathroom had nowhere to put shower soap etc and it leaked as soon as it was turned on. Milk pods provided had gone off and were found to be over 2 months out of date. Breakfast was superb, refreshed very often and a hot option also available. Although some people were told off for taking water or coffee before or after serving times and instructed to request from reception at a charge. A bit mean we thought. Overall a nice place but could be a bit more welcoming.

Rick Steves latest tour book on Belgium recommended The Hotel Patritius. It was located just blocks from Burge Square. This 1830s renovated mansion, had small rooms that were clean and in an acceptable condition. The dozen or so ancient steps to the entrance were as steep as the trails to the top of Kilimanjaro, with no handrails for safety which would be beneficial when carrying luggage. The Courtyard appeared unkept and a little trashy for early spring. Rick Steves may find Europeans charming when somewhat rude. I do not! Whom, I believe to be the female owner, in my opinion, was unfriendly and unwelcoming. In addition, I was reprimanded by her for entering and exploring the dining room area to determine what may be available for me during my stay here. I would have appreciated a price list for items left in my room, which I may have construed as complimentary or that I would have been charged for by this establishment. For example, water, coffee single-serve pods, use of the kettle and even a small bag of potato chips. Thank goodness the Staff did not leave any mints on the two small pillows provided each night at a fee. This and the rudeness effected my experience and my overall impression of my stay here. Please note that like some European Hotels, wash clothes were not provided for me. I am certain you could request them for a fee.|The Black Swan is next door and gorgeous. The Duke’s Palace is down the street with a lovely bar and lobby. The Crown Plaza also has an excellent location. I just would not recommend staying here.

Our first visiting Bruges and we loved this choice for our hotel. Breakfast was lovely. The atmosphere and story of the hotel was great. The location made walking and exploring the city very easy and fun. We stayed in the building behind the courtyard and those accommodations were clean and charming. Loved our stay.
