This is a nice breakfast restaurant. The omelette is well filled and very tasteful. I really like good coffee with breakfast and was also happy that they have an espresso machine. The only improvement point I can think of is to not serve the orange juice from a carton but to make it fresh.

Google
This was hands down the most delicious breakfast I could have asked for. I got the simple eggs, toast, bacon and potatoes and it was INCREDIBLE and we went back for more the next day. The eggs were perfect, the coffee just the right strength and the bacon was cooked just right. My partner had the breakfast burrito, which he says was out of this world.

Nice heartwarming breakfast around the neighbourhood. Service might be slightly slower because there is only 1 lady taking order. However the food makes up for it. Environment is clean too !

Google
We’ve come to Pat’s three times so far on our holiday, it’s just that good. The staff are lovely, the food is incredible (fluffiest pancakes ever) and the coffee is great. Great vegetarian options, too- the veggie hash is amazing. Feels a little bit like a home from home, and we’ll miss it when we go back!

Google
My husband and I had breakfast here and it was delicious! I had one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had and the portions were huge! 😍Touch on the pricy side for the pancakes but the burrito was well worth what we paid

Google
This cafe served breakfast that was on point. The pancakes I ordered were fluffy and delicious. My husband ordered a crepe that was flavorful and savory. The service was excellent and the food was freshly prepared. I highly recommend to try this place out for some delicious food.

Great breakfast with a fast and efficient service. The eggs Benedict was a special and tasted amazing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite or a relaxing Sunday brunch.

Yelp
Delicious Breakfast at Pat's Café I had a chance to stop by Pat's Cafe for breakfast during the work week. Even though I wasn't very hungry, the Polk Street Omelet caught my eye, so I ordered it along with a cup of regular coffee. The omelet is made with bacon, ham, bell peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese, and it comes with home fries and your choice of toast. The coffee was still great! I loved its flavor, just as I did on my last visit a few years back. The omelet was as good as I hoped it would be. While sitting and sipping my coffee, I noticed how the staff interacted with other customers. I was so impressed with their attention to every table that I had to compliment Ricardo, who served my table, and the young lady who seemed to be the manager. They were both so attentive that it made me wish I could hire them if I were a restaurant owner! The place is cozy and well-maintained. The service is excellent, the coffee is awesome, and the food is delicious.

Yelp
This place is a perfect spot for a quick, delicious and affordable brunch. I stopped on the way to Alcatraz island, ordered the French toast special. Our server was great, he was quick and really friendly. The space is a little tight but overall not bad

Yelp
I wasn't hungry when I walked past passed Pats, however the sign really drew me in. Pat is way my friends have called me over the past 8+ years. I got to chance to sit next to the window and the ambiance was just truly wonderful. Staff was so friendly! Since I wasn't hungry, I decided to get a dessert - crepes! They were light and fluffy, filled with plenty of Nutella and topped with fresh fruit. The price was also super reasonable and looked like a lot of locals come there.

Yelp
Great breakfast place! Pat's corned beef hash was delicious! The veggie hash was also quite good. The croissant sandwich was huge and croissant flakey and tender. Coffee was hot and frequently refilled.

Yelp
Good, simple breakfast that hits the spot! My husband had the biscuits and gravy which were delicious. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was well seasoned and hearty. I had the pancake special which was very good. The highlight of my meal was the bacon which was amazing. The service was quick and friendly. We had our own little nook so had some privacy which was nice. Our two meals with juices and coffee came out to $57. A deal for a filling, tasty breakfast.

Yelp
Pat's Café is a San Francisco legend--an absolute icon. Known for serving up a fantastic American breakfast, the food doesn't disappoints. The café has a quirky charm, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Even when it's busy (which it often is), they hustle with a smile and make you feel right at home. You can't go wrong with this spot.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot! Menu isn't too big, but the items are tasty! The service is so attentive and nice! Food came out fast and hot! This Cafe has art from local artists all over their walls that you can purchase! I love that they showcase artists! We even left with a little one of a kind treasure!

Yelp
Staff was nice! Cold eggs and no coffee refills! Plates cold... Bacon cold !!! Needs a little help in the kitchen

Yelp
Small, but big in heart. Pat is very present and her servers were very attentive. We hope to return soon.

Yelp
Great spot for a casual brunch or lunch. Love the BLT. Service was quick and good people watching inside.

Yelp
All the Staff here give excellent service going above & beyond giving attentive service not leaving the customer forgotten! Staff even giving warm FRIENDLY conversations!! The breakfast was delicious too including very fresh food & coffee!! We will definitely keep returning & tell friends about this place!!

Yelp
SF Charm, good food, service and character breakfast and lunch only near cable car tracks!

Yelp
Came to Pat's Cafe because it was close to the hotel. The vibe is cute diner, pretty small. There were a mix of locals and tourists, but it wasn't very busy. The food was normal, nothing spectacular - just a simple breakfast. Staff were very friendly and service was relatively quick.

Yelp
I'm not kidding this is the best tuna sandwich / melt I've ever had. I'm from Nebraska originally and I've always loved tuna, but oh my God I've never had such a good tuna sandwich. Amazing service, very walkable, the ambience is lovely!! I could spend hours here and find something new to look at. Also, they have beautiful artwork you can buy from a local artist!

Yelp
Pat's Cafe is a great local place for those seeking a quick and fun breakfast. Their menu boasts a variety of classic breakfast options, all well prepared. During our visit, we had the pleasure of trying a couple of specialty items: the smoked salmon benedict and the crab cake benedict, both of which were excellent. The ambiance at Pat's is a colorful and enjoyable one. The walls are adorned with artwork crafted by local artists, all available for purchase. The service was warm and inviting, making for an overall recommendation for Pete's as a casual breakfast destination offering delicious food at reasonable prices.

Yelp
This sport was near our hotel and highly recommended on Yelp so we decided to check it out and it did not disappoint! Portions were good and food was flavorful. Would recommend

Yelp
Was walking around town and stumbled upon Pat's Cafe. Looked like a little hole in the wall and decided to give it a try, because why not. The Food: After browsing their menu, it was hard to decide on something, but eventually I landed on the "French Toast Special". The French Toast was amazing. Huge pieces of toast and the flavor from the cinnamon and syrup were delicious! I got mine with scrambled eggs and sausage. The sausage was good, but lacked a bit of something. I can't really put my finger on it, but it was just okay. The eggs were good, just normal eggs. The Service: Service was great! The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. They definitely made our meal more enjoyable. The Atmosphere: Restaurant is nicely decorated. Definitely a hole in the wall spot. Plenty of seating indoors. Overall, a 4/5! Pretty good breakfast/diner food here. Food and staff were amazing, highly recommend giving the place a try!

Yelp
We found Pat's when Visiting town over Christmas week. Ate breakfast almost everyday. Tasty food. Staff is friendly and efficient.

Yelp
A cozy cafe serving up some solid breakfast fare. We went with a fairly large group on a weekday morning and we were quickly accommodated. The food is decent and there's a nice variety of options on the menu. Unfortunately, they only serve Eggs Benedict on the weekend. The Pat's Corned Beef hash was good (7/10 rating). Prices are a bit higher for what it is but it's pretty standard for the area I'm guessing due to its closeness to the tourist attractions. Service was attentive and the food was served up fairly quickly.

Yelp
Arriving at 10:30am on a Sunday and only one couple in the entire place made me a little nervous - were the reviews wrong? Had the place shifted owners and fallen from grace? Uh oh... Anyway, I sat down, was promptly asked if I wanted something to drink and handed the menu. Coffee arrived before I had read through the menu, nice. Pondered the options for a while and settled on the veggie hash with sunny side up eggs, toast and slices of bacon as an extra. As I was waiting for my food the place started to fill up! I needed have worried! By the time my food arrived the place was pleasantly buzzing with conversations from more than half of the tables, and by the time I finished my plate the restaurant was almost full. Never loud though, just a pleasant background noise to fill the space. Definitely glad I stopped by, the hash was great and the eggs cooked perfectly!

Yelp
I ordered take out with my husband, and I ordered the pancakes with eggs and sausage. It was over 18 dollars. Just wanted to post a picture so people can see what they're paying for.

Yelp
Great spot. Small diner ambience with very friendly staff. Ordered breakfast food to go and when I arrived, my order was ready to go and hot off of the griddle. Staff was incredibly helpful and even offered me a coffee to go with my order; which, naturally, I needed. Food was delicious, as breakfast should be. I had the Mexican omelet with toast and fruit. My wife had the ham croissant and a jelly bagel. Excellent. First breakfast place we tried in San Francisco for our short trip, but we will likely return. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Pats is always a hit. Have a speculation that her staff love her because she runs a tight ship but there's rarely any turnover- consistent team. Besides the great atmosphere, the food is AMAZING! You HAVE to get the pancakes. Classic diner joint that feels cozy. Draws a crowd so expect a little wait but nothing crazy.
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
I love the breakfast from here! Delicious and comforting! An average $18 per person, lots of options!

Yelp
Nowadays coming out of the pandemic and finding an original SF hole-in-the-wall cafe/diner is challenging but Pat's is it! Good real breakfast brunch lunch food is delicious! You'll always find the place full with people but little to no wait for a seat. I can recommend trying the Benedict plates and the morning coffee is fresh.
google avatar

Humberto C.

Yelp
I ordered the Steak Benedict. Had absolutely zero flavor. Please teach your staff to add salt and pepper. We ordered two "iced coffees". They up charged us a $1 to put freaking ice in it. Didn't add any sugar or cream or anything. We had to ask for creamer. They asked one person at the table if they were done, and decided to take the other persons plate also that had food on it still and wasn't finished. Didn't even ask her and by the time she noticed it was gone. Wouldn't come back

Yelp
Staying in San Francisco for a few days and found this place for breakfast. Food was delicious, service was great, and the ambiance charming. We even met Pat, the owner! Give it a try!!

Yelp
Visited Pat's for breakfast on our last day in San Francisco. We were looking to pack in a good breakfast before heading for the airport. Place was packed so I knew it had to be a good spot. It sure was indeed! Bright and vibrant decor inside. Decent sized dining area and also outdoor seating available. Hostess seated us quickly and was very personable. All staff was friendly and attentive. Food hit the table quickly, hot and delicious! Ordered a large OJ as well which was very good and not watered down like you get at some places. Pancakes were super good and huge. Real maple syrup was another major plus. You also don't always get uncut maple syrup. Thick when poured and not runny!! We left stuffed and totally satisfied. Highly recommend for a great breakfast!!!

Yelp
Owner run small coffee shop on the walk to Fisherman's wharf. Great service, open until 2 PM.

Yelp
Cool spot to spot in for a delicious meal, ours today was breakfast. Very cozy and welcoming with friendly staff and fast service. Our breakfast this morning was satisfying and plates were all empty. Their French toast was done well, served with eggs and bacon, it all come together beautifully. Worth the visit if not a couple of times if in town, unfortunately for us it was a day trip and glad we found Pat's.
google avatar

Yelp
A nice spot with good food and friendly service. It was busy which is good to see! Anyway, our party of 4 had just a few minutes wait for our table in the back. The menu is extensive. Also, everything I saw being served around me looked delicious so it was really hard to decide. I got the California omelette and country potatoes. Yum! The wait staff was very attentive and kept checking on us without making us feel rushed. There is a lot of artists work displayed on the wall that is for sale. I like to see businesses that support art ‍

Yelp
Pat's was about a 5 minute walk from our hotel and was open early. We were able to get a table right away at around 8:00am on a Saturday morning. I had the California omelet which comes with potatoes and toast. X had the breakfast burrito, which also came with potatoes. Both dishes were very good and a huge portion size. We actually easily could've shared it and been completely satisfied. Service was very attentive and very nice. Would 10/10 recommend if you're in the Wharf area looking for a good breakfast spot.

Yelp
Where are all these good reviews coming from? Not a great experience. The guy upfront wasnt at all welcoming nor friendly. Also buddy are we still chin diapering? The mask is either on your face or not. The phone also kept ringing and he kept picking up the phone to hang up. On the 5th ring he answered and lo and behold it was a takeout order. Why is it written on the menu 'food is made to order so it takes time' - kinda passive aggressive, I know how food works. Water came with our food, 30ish min after we sat down. The food itself... mediocre at best. Cold toast, egg that was too small for the hole, and day old bacon. Meh, would not recommend.

Keydi L.

Yelp
Pre made breakfast worse than cruise food--- order the California crepes breakfast with home made fries and was cold you can taste the coldness... worse place during my visit in San Francisco

Yelp
soooo yummy. no one's posted the burrito so i waited until i tackled mine ig to take the photo, i was so hungry. i had to eat before the camera did this time. (egg burrito with chorizo + spinach) wish the sour cream, guac, & pico was actually inside the burrito vs on the side tho. please excuse my pepper use, i love black pepper & was SOOOO stoked for these potatoes but they (pat's) adds sugar to them. completely threw me off, thought it was salt, not good in my opinion :( so just know that! the service was nice, the restaurant was filled with art & photographs for sale that i would assume is local. pretty spacious as well. would go again.
google avatar

Tawni H.

Yelp
Excuse the half eaten plate... the camera did not eat first. This place is in such a great location that is always ready to seat you. The waiters were super nice and on top of it. They brought anything we asked super quick. The food was amazing. I got the pancake combo and got it with chocolate pancakes. It was so good. The other people on my table got the country potatoes and they looked and tasted amazing. For the ambiance it was great. We had 2 dogs with us and they brought us water for the dogs and were super friendly with them.

Yelp
Delicious cappuccino & french toast. Cozy place with cute decor and very attentive service. Opens early in the morning. The only negative: too expensive. Breakfast for 2 was $70 incl. tip!

Michael H.

Yelp
Joanna and I are meandering through San Francisco from an early morning flight to Oakland on our way to the Point Reyes National Seashore. Joanna was hungry for breakfast and I needed life saving coffee. So we stopped at Pat's Cafe and ate delicious food. I had an omelette and Joanna had sausage gravy and biscuits. I especially loved the potatoes fried with rosemary. We ate breakfast here 10 years ago. It was good then and it's good now.

Renee L.

Yelp
Service excellence food delicious Clean establishment Greeted us as soon as we came in

Yelp
Excellent, friendly service. Hot coffee never left unattended, quick refills through breakfast. Coffee was a little meh, but espresso available. Neighborhood restaurant feel. Walking distance from the Fishermen's Wharf. Lots of menu options - waffles, omelettes, eggs and sides. Try the chicken apple sausage - it's unexpectedly tasty.
google avatar

René M.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast experience. Joe's special is truly a delicious combination and filling and the French toast at Pat's is A MUST!!! I still daydream about their recipe and have never in my life had better. I will always go there when in town for their French toast The service was outstanding

Mike C.

Yelp
The best breakfast place in SF. Food was awesome, taste of being homemade,. The service was great, very professional and polite. It was clean. The ambiance was relaxing and really nice. I am coming back!!! Best breakfast west of the Mississippi.
google avatar

Nhi L.

Yelp
I past by Pats a lot and always see that it's crowded with long lines. I came here post thanksgiving and it was so empty so decided to give it a try! It seems like they have regulars who are senior citizens who come a lot which gives a really warm homey vibe to the cafe. The service was quick and they make everything fresh when you put in your order. Pancake special: 9/10 super big and fluffy pancakes! American style chilaquiles: 8/10 potatoes were flavorful! The chips felt a tiny bit stale but everything else over it was good
google avatar

angela l.

Yelp
Cute cozy cafe! Eggs Benedict was excellent. Bacon is the thick kind. Yummy. Service is efficient and friendly. Literally one piece of bread split in two to become toast. Great breakfast place to feed on
google avatar

Gilbert M.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. And even better food. Found this spot as I was looking for a breakfast place near my hotel. At first I didn't want to take the ten minute walk but it turned out to be worth that and more. Try the chilaquiles and the crepes.
google avatar

Kevin R.

Yelp
Diner quality food, diner quality service. It's in a touristy area, so expect it to be busy on weekends, possibly a line (if there is, I wouldn't wait). Being in this area, you lose the local feel that you would expect from a place like this tucked in a residential area.
google avatar

Gwen G.

Yelp
It's a pretty busy place, so we were rushed from beginning to end, and my food wasn't hot when I finally got it, but it was good. Its got a homey vibe. I would go back, possibly.
google avatar

Yelp
Don't leave San Francisco without trying Pat's Cafe! I recommend trying them at the beginning of your trip because you will want to go multiple times! Best breakfast in the Wharf area! It's a neat little place where the service is great with a really friendly staff. A must try!
