Brought my wife and father in law to Pats Peak for their first ski lesson and experience and couldn’t have been happier. They have a very reasonable starter package that’s complete with rentals, lessons, and a lift ticket for under $200. We missed our lesson time but Pats Peak was very accommodating and let us join the next lesson group with no trouble. I couldn’t believe how wonderful our lesson instructor, Shelly, was too! She took the time to teach the group beginning in the beginner area, moving to the next carpet area, and finally taking the group over to the valley to give instructions on how to get on a chair lift and have the confidence to go down an actual run multiple times. After the fantastic lesson, we ended up skiing the full day until our lift tickets expired! Thank you for turning two brand new skiers into life long enthusiasts. We will be back and looking into season tickets for next year!

Google
visited for the first time coming home from the big mountains up north. I have to say I really like this ski area. it's got some cool terrain and some fun park features. overall just a great time here. solid grooming operations and good attention to detail.

This is a classic New England little ski resort with a little charm and a lot of very friendly and warm customer service people in every department. It’s a great family mountain. No apres’ ski scene but it makes no pretense of that. I enrolled my grandson I put my grandson in their bears camp for 2 days to learn snowboarding. The instructor was great.

We came all the way from the beach to Snowboard for 3 days and we loved Pat's Peak! Came Thurs night until close (9), Friday until close (10), and Sat last call 8-10. We loved the slopes. It's mid March so there were a lot of ice patches from everything melting, but that's due to the time of year we came. We rented gear since we were on a plane and the gear was really good. Worked well and clean. We love the wide slopes with plenty of room for everyone. Didn't feel crowded. The top of the mountain bonfire and bar was so fun! Only con I will say is that on this one lift, when it was late at night, the guy with the snow shovel would stand right in the way and every time I came off the lift I fell because he was in the way. Otherwise the staff were friendly. Food was expensive, but you can bring your own food. There are several fireplaces which was really nice. Elevator too.

Google
I love this place! It’s beautiful and comfortable! The parking lot is convenient. There is a FREE beginners area, which is definitely suitable for beginners! Highly recommended for anyone new to skiing! My friend said other trails are not bad, though the routes are not very long but the surface is not icy, so it’s good for skiing. The staff who helped me register for the RFID card was so nice! I felt very welcomed 😇 There are two lodges, you can take rest here and buy some food if you want.

Google
Really convenient to get to from Boston. 1hr30 - 2hrs depending on traffic. Really nice people working the lifts. I dropped my mitten and skied back down to the lift, and they got my mitten with no problem. Definitely beginner & intermediate friendly here. Terrain park was fun. Just wish there were more small jumps

Google
My friend and I bought the passport program and we had a great time there. We chose snowboard, so team lessons sometimes just the two of us or 3-4 of us. The staff at Cable Car 1 was very enthusiastic. But I think the junior pistes are a bit too steep in some places, I think they're more like blue grade pistes. After my fall, help came quickly and in good time. I will continue to return here after a short recuperation.

Luly I.

Google
It's always crowded, no matter the day expect a line for the lift. The outdoor cubbies fill up fast, but there are lockers to rent. The lodge is beautiful, the bar is always busy, but if you're waiting for someone, there's nowhere to go for a walk other than the parking lot. They make snow, and have groomed trails. Good mountain for kids.

Norm C.

Yelp
Great family ski mountain. I survived the day considering they had some faulty equipment that got a bunch of folks stuck on the lift. Surely they'll get some bad press but they've always been a great spot before. I'm almost certain they will make the necessary corrections. Making it safer for skiers like me that enjoy lots of easy green trails. Being the only driver, I have to take it easy. This mountain has a lot to offer for guests like me that just want to enjoy the winter scenery. They do have black diamond trails and terrain parks equipped with a few jumps and rails. I like it because it has a long green trail off the summit or trails that don't intersect with black diamonds. I often see at other resorts that has varying difficulty in trails converge. So suddenly the beginners are skiing with experts or just out of control skiers causing collisions or wipe outs. Pats peak has a good separation between the trails that make me feel safe to enjoy the snow they make. It's one of the locations that open early in the season because they make so much snow. If you do get tired, they have a pub on site. A decent cafeteria, with a microwave. They always are known for their giant size m&m cookies, that are size of your face. This year they put up the see through igloos around if you just want to sit down and rest. I do wish they had fewer stairs. It can be a journey to get from the car to the base of the slopes. Plan ahead and online lift tickets are cheaper than in person. Weekend and holidays require booking in advance with no refunds.

Olivia G.

Yelp
I love skiing here. They have food and so many choices to ski and have rentals. They also have lessons and programs connected to most schools. I highly recommend comming here to ski

Carly D.

Yelp
Not for beginner group lessons unless you want to watch your child go down the bunny hill twice with multiple kids stopping and going multiple times with little to no freedom. Mind you they were 30 minutes late getting outside for the 2 hour lesson you pay for.

John H.

Yelp
Hands down the best ski resort for beginners. The greens are long and gentle with several beginning at the summit. The trails were well groomed and held up well into the afternoon despite warmer weather and traffic. It is a no frills, local mountain with a very laid back vibe. You won't find a ton of amenities here but honestly if you are doing a shorter day or skiing you don't need them. The crowds weren't bad at all considering this was the week between Christmas and New Years where it is peak season. I think this is because Epic Pass holders and more experienced skiers prefer other mountains. The blue trails are not very challenging for more experienced skiers so it may not be as enjoyable. Can't speak for the blacks trails. Also may not be the best option for snowboarders unless you hit it on a powder day. But for beginner skiers, you can't beat Pat's Peak!

Frederick J.

Yelp
I have been going here for three years now. Perfect place for beginner and intermediate skiing. It can get crowded during mid day. It helps that is open at night. Can't wait to go back. And the food is great!

Cy M.

Yelp
Pat's is the best version of itself: an unpretentious, family-friendly, well-run, convenient and affordable ski area. Small for the region, but they get the most out of it with aggressive snowmaking, fast lift lines, good crowd management and sensible planning, and lights! I grew up night skiing, and this is the best-lit spot in New England, with the most accessible hours. They put their money into the mountain they have, not trying to market themselves as the next Vail (which has done a pretty lame job managing the customer experience at the local properties they've taken over recently!) Pat's website is very AOL-era, but if you know what you're looking for, it's all you need. This probably goes back to getting the basics right, keeping their costs (and prices!) under control, and not trying to show off or bring in the luxury tourism crowd at the expense of the average enthusiast. Very on-brand--wouldn't change a thing. Not the place I'd go for an epic pow weekender, but just what the doctor ordered for most of the season. And it happens to be very pretty, too. If you've got a bad attitude about noobs here to learn the sport you supposedly love, or you need to be spoiled on and off the snow, don't let the door hit you on the way out. If you can chill and appreciate everyday user-friendliness, affordability, and maximizing quality time on the snow over posing or being pampered, you'll love it here.

Yelp
Pats Peak ski area is without a doubt, one of the best run ski resorts in the United States. What it lacks in size and steeps, it more than makes up in efficiency, courtesy, and absolute enjoyment. During this Covid pandemic, I have to say that before times that I went to Pats Peak during this past season, I felt absolutely safe and without a worry, especially during this horrible pandemic. Their serious attitude towards health protocols made me comfortable to come here. With 770 vertical feet, it has the feel of a much larger place, given the extensive backside terrain, the few but credible steeps, and the excellent organization prevalent in the resort. From ticket purchasing to apres ski, the place hums with activity. The new lodge addition is superb, well designed, warm and expansive. The common room has a gigantic fireplace that sheds coziness and comfort. The Sled Pub has local brews and good food. Pats Peak is an amazing place to bring a family or school group. And as well, a place to make excellent turns in the midst of a well run ski area.

Monica L.

Yelp
Pats peak is a great skiing spot in New Hampshire. It is probably one of the most economical and affordable places to practice this fun sport. Before heading to Pats Peak, we called at least 15 skiing locations in New England, and this one was the most reasonable one. My best friend and I are beginners and didn't have to pay for amenities that we would not be able to use. Fue to COVID al tickets must be purchase online ahead of time. We went on a Friday afternoon and were told that tubbing tickets get sold out before 7pm and to plan/ purchase accordingly. I suggest to call ahead if you have any questions. Pats Peak has one bunny slope and is spacious enough to practice. I did noticed some areas did not have enough snow and they needed to patch it up. Lastly, sitting area has been netted for social distance purposes due to COVID.

Yelp
Came here Saturday afternoon at end of February. Parking lot was full. Had to park far. Rentals for snowboard, and helmets went smoothly. 52$ for board rental. 12$ for helmets. There was alot of people at the newbie area in the afternoon and continues to decrease after it gets dark. It was difficult to practice with a lot of people and children also practicing. I had to fall intentionally to avoid going into people. The newbie practice area was too small. There were trainers that offered to help so that was cool. Magic carpet was cool. Dont get discouraged when falling. Only way to get back better is to keep riding that magic carpet and keep trying. Food over there was overpriced for the quality. Itvwas typical American bar foods. I would pack my own foods next time. Overall, I had a good learning experience. I would come back but probably at a less busy time.

Jack M.

Yelp
This review is based upon the people at pats peak not the mountain itself because that would be a 5 star rating but the ticket checkers were rude and wouldn't let me get on the lift until they checked my ticket about 5 times especially on the peak triple overall not a great experience

Hart P.

Yelp
Our original plan was to go snowmobiling but the warm temperatures have prevented the opening of the trails. Pat's Peak is one of the few remaining ski resorts in New England and provides all manner of wintertime fun. Not everyone could ski, and with only a few hours, sledding was the best option. An afternoon of tubing was fun for everyone. The tracks are groomed and nothing too radical. Everyone was friendly.

Anusha R.

Yelp
Extremely overpriced and monopolised in the area. You'd rather carry food with you if you're going skiing here. Everything you touch is so expensive and barely nice to eat. Even the most basic drip coffee was like hot water. They even charged for glasses of water (unpackaged).

Skoobasteve R.

Yelp
This is truly a great place to teach & learn how to ski. Brought our 5 year old daughter here twice. Started on the magic carpet which is free for kids if you buy an adult ticket. We also rented skis. Then we got some chairlift practice in. FYI, they can slow the triple down so you can build your confidence getting on and off it. Super great place and only 35 minutes from Manchester.

M S.

Yelp
I have skied here a number of times over the past years and have generally had a decent experience. Just skied twice for the first time since the pandemic hit. Bottom line is that they are not set up well for the new processes and need more staffing. The first day, a Sunday, we drove up from Boston and arrived at 11 AM. We waited on line for almost an hour in bitter cold outside before getting our lift tickets and rentals which we had reserved online previously. The next day, Presidents' Day, we arrived earlier and found an even longer line. This line took 90 minutes before getting to the ticket counter. But at least it was warmer. They did offer to extend everyone's ticket to 9 PM at no additional cost. But it is just not worth starting the day with a 60 to 90 minute line before hitting the slopes. We will look elsewhere for future skiing.

Yelp
I brought my 2 younger cousins to POP night last night 1/22 and i must say i feel misled with the description of "Lesson Tips". Apparently lesson tips arent what i thought they would be. There were no instructors helping any snowboarders on the bunny hill that i saw. I tried my best to give pointers to my cousins who never stepped on a snowboard before but im not an instructor! My cousins started at 4pm and lasted until 530-6pm before they quit. I feel the day was a total waste and feel extremely misled. Pats peak has a great reputation for teaching beginners and the "lesson tips from 4-6pm" were included in the POP Special description. Not one lesson tip was given to either of them by any pats peak employees. I only saw 1 instructor all night and she was giving tips to a skier. Now 1 of my cousins isnt sure he wants to try snowboarding again and the other cousin doesnt seem eager to return to pats peak. Im not that eager to return myself after feeling so ridiculously misled. In the end my cousins rode the bunny hill several times and gave up when they realized no instructors were around to give tips. Im was so disappointed in my $300+ experience from last night that I'm reaching out to you today to explain and ask; what went wrong?

Dave M.

Yelp
Pats Peak offers a learn to ski Passport Program Plus which seems like a good deal. I was hoping to to do that and learn to ski with my daughter but, overnight, they jacked up the price 25% from $469 to $599. When I called, they were dismissive and when I emailed, I was basically told that skiing is really popular this year and they want to make as much money as they can over making it accessible to people, especially single parents like myself. Very disappointing to say the least. We will not be back.

Noah C.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever. I was actually hung up when talking to someone. They refuse to honor purchased tickets and they refuse to answer questions or return calls or emails. Very unorganized and disappointing. This is a great family ski area but very poor customer service,

M C.

Yelp
Skiing was ok but they shut the lights off in rental return at 4 sharp so you have to literally stumble in the dark to return rentals retrieve stuff from lockers you can't see and get dressed in the dark I hope someone don't trip it's very dangerous

Deidred A.

Yelp
Pats Peak is a wonderful place to get better at skiing. Almost all the lifts go to the top of the mountain. And from there they have real greens, blues, and blacks. Not to mention that the training staff is not phenomenal. Go often and take the family.

Temina C.

Yelp
If you want to ski or get married, this is the place to be in Henniker, NH! This place is absolutely stunning. I went to a friends wedding here this past weekend (weather was 75 degrees in the afternoon on October 14th) and it was gorgeous! I'm sure it's even better in the winter when snow is covering the area but with the Fall foliage on the mountain, this venue was absolutely breathtaking!!

Ashley R.

Yelp
Really disappointed in their service. After filling out the online requirements for a lift and rental ticket, specifying my size, weight, boot size. I arrived at pats peak three days later to find that they didn't have a board or boots to fit me. I'm 5'6" 130 lbs and I was handed a board that was 127 cm! When I asked for a bigger board they said they didn't have any available (it was only 1030 a.m)....anyways, with my tiny board and tiny boots I had a wild day on the slopes spinning in circles and wiping out...thanks pats peak! Never going there again

Mx G.

Yelp
So many different opinions. I can only report what I saw. If you were a season pass holder and knew the mountain better, things might be different. If you came on a different day, you might have better snow. But, this review reflect systematic and persistent and deliberate meh-ness. I will also note up front that some staff and all but one skier (who nearly clipped me, there was not much patrol out) were polite and nice. Overall, 1.5 stars. I saw a GREAT review and thus only had to slightly modify it to fit my circumstances: Pats Peak ski area is without a doubt, one of the LEAST well run ski resorts in the United States. What it lacks in size and steeps, it more than ADDS TO in INefficiency, DIScourtesy, and POOR SNOW. A person on the phone was exceedingly helpful, which I have to note too. With 770 vertical feet, it has the feel of a much SMALLER place, given the extensive backside terrain THAT WAS CLOSED, the few but credible steeps WITH AT LEAST ONE THAT WAS ICED OUT AND FOR SAFETY'S SAKE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SIMPLY CLOSED (I have only skiied double black, and due to the ice that run looked far harder than those, from the lift over it I routinely saw people come on, see what they were facing, nope out, and have to exit it through marked and unmarked, and closed (!) cutouts. I never saw anyone run it), and the ABYSMAL organization prevalent in the resort.  With an iced out run that should have been closed, I did not ski the blacks on the right side because I feared they were iced out too. IT TOOK 30 MIN. TO GET MY PRE-PAID TICKET, AND REQUIRED 4 STOPS AND 5 PEOPLE, all of whom told me that they could help me, and then that they could not, and then sent me to another wrong location. One of them recanted, unsold me my ticket and sold me a new one. (or so she said) IN ADDITION TO WHAT THEY SHOULD NEED, TO GET MY TICKET ONLINE ALSO REQUIRED A EMAIL (TEMPORARY), A BIRTHDATE (APPROX), AND A CELL PHONE (LANDLINE). I did like them requiring a cellphone and email and birthday to help keep the resort "to people like us". IT ALSO EXPOSES THEM (and us) TO HUGE SECURITY RISKS HOLDING THIS INFORMATION. They did provide a link explaining why they needed this information (which did not work). It was the first day skiing where I did wonder if I wanted to make a last run, but in the end it was like a crappy day fishing, you still spent it fishing, which is nice. and the black run I chose had marginally better snow than the blue run that scared me. It is the closest resort to boston, which is nice (except for Wachussets and even smaller resorts). And, somehow, they have parking problems. the resort was relatively crowded with the lots only half full. If they park as many as the lots hold, it must be crazy busy. If they park as many as they want, it would be madness. Pros: close to Boston; larger, steeper than Wachussets. Pun about Pat Speaks. Cons: see above, most are not idiosyncratic and are likely to be repeated I did not accidentally or purpose leave anything behind there.

Yelp
i'm a local snowboarder for 25 years. crotched mountain pass holder for 15 years straight. i'm a new customer here at pats peak and i thought this mountain was going to be VERY different. very unprofessional, uneducated staff. i went to the office and asked them for their lift policy for my nephew, whose 3 years old. they could not provide me with any paperwork or policies stating he could not go on the lift. they would not let him on the lift and kicked us out. they could not provide me with any paperwork backing up their claim. and they couldn't point me in any direction for who to talk to. every other surrounding mountain has supported my nephew going on the lift INSTEAD PATS PEAK. (and some vail owned mountains). they also stereotype pass holders in line, after they know i've shown them my pass over and over and over and they don't ask anyone else near me for their pass. i feel targeting just trying to get on the lift. i'm a male, baggy clothes. tattoos. embellished style. so i get it a lot. but never at a ski mountain so this was a first! they also don't have any terrain park through december which is odd. crotched. loon. macytire. nashoba, all have a great terrain park ready to go.. so for my own preferences as a park rider. i unfortunately do not recommend this mountain to anyone with children or anyone who snowboards. staff 3/10 mountain maintence 7/10 terrain park 0/10 pricing 5/10 thank you for taking the time and reading my review.

Marc C.

Yelp
Been skiing here for decades (Welp I'm old). It gets better with age. Friday nights is an awesome night to ski as they have live bands and cold beer in the lounge (top floor). Only bad marks are for the lack and quality of seating in the bar area and parking lot debacle! Good price for what quality skiing you get. No off trail skiing here.

Aaron Z.

Yelp
oktoberfest was a huge disappointment this year. Far better communication about when activities end is needed. The chair lift rides end way too without good enough sign. The ski sale ends too early too. You can't fit in everything you promise your kids, and it really stunk this year!

Melanie L.

Yelp
This place is so poorly managed It's not even funny. From every aspect, buying tickets, calling to ask questions, parking, getting in line at the place, there's hardly any signage to tell you where to go to do anything, you can end up waiting in a wrong line for 45 minutes because nobody will tell you where you really are supposed to go, some of the kids working there are great but they don't know where everything is, so you can ask him a question and they don't know. Once in a great while they'll have somebody working in the parking lot directing traffic out front, but for the most part not even on the busiest nights, but then they'll come over and yell at people for parking sideways a little bit in the handicap spots because the spots are not long enough to accommodate a pickup truck. So if you try to be considerate and park in two spots if they're not being used, you would think that would be fine. I don't know where the people that are handicapped that have longer vehicles are allowed to park because we were treated very poorly by a b**** in the parking lot. The lessons are way overpriced for what you get, they start late and end early. And you have to buy a lift ticket for the lesson. Even if you're a beginner? And it was over $11 for some french fries and a bottle of water?! The french fries were stale as hell they've been sitting under the light for who knows how long. Lol okay, see you guys at McIntyre.

April P.

Yelp
Visited pats last weekend and we enjoyed our time! Love the area especially for our first time! The kiddos loved it, the grown ups are having a blast! Will be coming back!

Sneha D.

Yelp
Heads up - If you want to know how good/bad the skiing at this place is, then look elsewhere. This review is for the moms/dads/grownups who are on driver duty and are wondering - "how am I going to kill time for the next 6 hours?" SLED PUB, is the answer! Free WiFi, free popcorn and clean bathrooms. When you enter the main complex, there are TWO lodges. We were there at 8:30am and there were parking attendants who directed us to a spot. A very helpful greeter told us that the lodge on the right-hand side is more for kids. So I am assuming it's a lot of tables and shelves. We didn't check it out. We went to the one on the left-hand side. The first level has the Ski Shop. The second level has the Food Court(self-serve) and tables. The third floor has the Sled Pub(table service) and more tables and storage next to it. The food at the self-serve counter felt pricey. Two breakfast sandwiches cost $11. The kids had lunch there. All the usual things were on the menu - hot dog, hamburger, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks. We didn't eat at the Sled Pub but had some drinks. The beer was good! The staff are really polite and efficient. By the way, the kids and a few adults in our group who skied had a good time. They said it's more a beginners/intermediate kinda place. The bunny slope had the little Xmas tree, snowman markers for the little kids to practice their turns on, I thought that was really fun.

Noel C.

Yelp
I ordered the Portabella mushroom burger and it was like drinking a bottle of vinaigrette. Sent it back after one bite, even the waitress said it looked like way too much. Got another one w/o the vinaigrette and it is much much better. DO NOT ORDER THIS A LA CARTE UNLESS YOU DRINK VINAIGRETTE (wish I strongly judge you for).

Bryan R.

Yelp
If you went to Pats in the 90s and walked in today you would be shocked. They have done a ton to makes this location seem like an up scale escort with reasonable family prices. A small ski shop but packed with solid merchandise, rental equipment is in great shape and the staff is some heat accommodating. The lifts are a little dated and most of the mountain is advanced beginner to intermediate even if it says black diamond but still just another example of how this location is geared to family. No need to pay for a locker there are cubbies for free ever where. There is a bar with beer and Po boy sandwiches so from that standpoint they set themselves apart. Where they fall short is there attention to grooming, not a huge fan of big piles of snow in the middle of the trail or a section missing that makes it look like they are practicibg bob sledding.

Johnny O.

Yelp
I went to Pats Peak yesterday for a last minute day of skiing, Such great people and a great mountain. i have not skied in 13 years so I rented equipment. Super easy transaction. The folks in the rental shop are so friendly and helpful. I got a great deal on rentals and a lift ticket. At first glance you might think the mountain is small but these folks get everything possible out of the terrain. I spent six hours and covered almost every single trail. A great value and a great time. Pats comes with my highest recommendation.

Summer D.

Yelp
This is the first place I skied. I did the POP (pay one price) for $49. It's an extra $12 for the helmet rental. The pass gets you all access 3-10 on Saturdays. I loved it. I guess I caught onnpretty quick and didn't embarass myself. I did fall a few times. I fell on the conveyer lift lol. Keep those skis straight and keep it moving once off. My friends all recommended this place and I'm glad I did it. Now, if you are having a hard time and don't want to eat it, find the groups that have an employee teaching the basics. We went to tubing after this and that was also pretty fun. But when I was ready to throw in the towel, we went to The Sled Pub. Bartenders Noelle and Troy were very helpful. They were friendly, prompt, and always made sure we were all set. The clam chowder was pretty good. The chicken tenders were delicious, fluffy, tender and full of flavor. Get the plain with blue cheese. We also ordered the Sam Adams and Magic Cap on tap...hit the spot. Entertainment was a band that was uppity and fun. I like this place, especially for someone whonhas never been to a ski resort in her entire life.

Karen 2.

Yelp
the lines aren't bad weekdays during the day. staff are super helpful and were friendly. the buildings could be more clean/updated.

Juan F.

Yelp
Been here twice because of peer pressure. My friends pretty much dragged me here the first time and I am glad they did. Apparently they have a deals on Saturdays called "Pop" Ticket. Depending on what time you get there it'll be a different price. Its $55 from 2pm-10pm and $45 from 3pm-10pm (Yes, night boarding is awesome), etc. The price includes lift tickets and the rentals which is by far the CHEAPEST deal I've seen. The ski/snowboarding area is small size I would say. I actually like it because its not too crowded. There was several different mountains and slopes you can go to with different levels. There is aso tubbing which I've never tried but looks pretty fun. Most important, their food court sells this huge ass M&M cookies that are BOMB. Must get one when you're there!

Nancy H.

Yelp
Great place for beginner skiers and snowboarders. Their Saturday POP deal is a no brainer. For $49 you get lift, rental, lesson tips and snow tubing from 3PM - 10PM. You can switch between skiing or snowboarding too! Their trails aren't too long or too short but there are a bunch of flat areas that will really get the beginner snowboarders. You need that speed! Overall, I was really impressed by the quality of the snow for the evening runs. The board and boots aren't fancy equipment but they were comfortable and definitely functional. There are two bunny slopes for beginners to progress on and if you're ready for the lift there are double and triple seaters. Be careful of the Hurricane triple chair lift. It's a pretty steep slope down to get to the loading area. The other lifts are all really fast with a swoop into the lift. There was a fire pit and toasting marshmallows too! There was plenty of parking and the whole ski area was well lit.

Julie H.

Yelp
Yikes. I needed help at 4:00 on a Sunday at lost and found that was CLOSED?! Why would lost and found close on a Sunday in January at 4:00. A couple staff people were kind. But majority were complete jerks!! I was missing a very expensive personal iten and they could care less. Note to Pats. Keep lost and found staff on passed 5:00 with friendly staff!!!

My family and I came here for some snow tubing: $20 for 4 hours... that was the cheapest I have ever seen; it was a steal of a deal! It almost seems like a tradition for me and my family to go snow tubing during our holiday vacations; we've done it for 3 years now. The drive up from Boston was quick and easy to this ski chalet. There were no crazy, windy turns up to the top of the hill. Tubing times were reserved over the phone, so we went to guest services to obtain our passes. Customer service was great with us, but it was only with getting our tubing passes, not sure how it would have been if we had ski lessons. A lot of skiers and snowboarders, so we were kinda bummed that we did not prepare ourselves to do that instead. Oh well... next time. The tubing lanes were wonderful! There was machine-operated lift that pulled us up on our tubes to the top of the tubing lanes. There was only one way up and only belly-side to the ground as we went down on our tubes. It was hours of fun. When we got hungry, there were 2 eating areas: one served grilled cheese sandwiches and another had a small food court. The building with a food court was also equipped with a huge eating area that had a fireplace and some arcades downstairs. We were so hungry that we inhaled our soup, grilled cheese, cheesesteaks and more. Overall, it was a fun experience and perhaps we'll be back someday.

Yelp
I went snowboarding for the first time a couple weeks back and it was so much fun! I went with my family and we can't wait to be back. There was a lot of people cause we went on a weekend but the lines weren't that bad. It's a pretty big place there's different sections going from beginners level - expert level. I also included lessons with my ticket and honestly it was the best thing! A little extra money but well worth it. They work with you every step of the way and they really tell/show you how to get comfortable with the board being a first timer, I actually learned a lot. The only thing that I would suggest is being more organized when it comes to signing in and getting all the rentals and returning them. There's was no signs nothing to direct you where to place ur gears for return. It was kinda all over the place but I guess during Covid and with a large amount of ppl it can get overwhelming. Can't wait to be back :).

Yelp
The more I ski other mountains, the more I miss Pat's Peak. 2018 was our third winter with season passes. I know it's not huge, and I know you're supposed to "graduate" to the bigger hills. I'm the first person to admit that I'm not a world-class skier, but I can ski some of the hard stuff - sometimes even without the liquid courage. (Just not bumps. I hate bumps.) Why do I love Pat's? Let me count the ways. The people here are absolutely tops. From lift operators to waitresses to ski patrol, I've never met anyone here that wasn't professional, polite, and happy to be there. I don't know what they're serving in the employee lunchroom, but it's good stuff, whatever it is. These guys CARE. (I listened to a ski instructor with two teeny girls one day, talking in gravely serious tones about what animal they would pretend to be on each run -- as the girls squealed and giggled their hilarity.) There's not a billion trails, but the terrain is varied enough for everyone to find something. They make snow, and they do a good job with the groomers, and -- here's the tricky part -- if the trail isn't ski-worthy, they keep it closed. I wish some of the "big mountains" would learn that. The night skiing is fun. Ski patrol has a positive presence on the hill; they are around when you need them. Many times, I've spotted one of "those" skiers from the lift . . . only to notice the ski patrol a couple minutes later, staying close just in case. Need equipment? There's a ski shop and a really great rental service. Two lodges, both clean, with plenty of shelf space for everyone's gear -- and there's a bag check too. Both lodges have food options, all good, but my favorite is the Sled Pub -- free popcorn, cold beer, really excellent food. The chili is great, and so is the poutine -- hell, I have eaten SALAD there and loved it. Salad, people -- at a ski lodge. Live music on the weekends. So, obviously I'm a fan. You should check it out. Unless, of course, you LIKE the long lift lines, icy trails, rude people, and crowded lodges at those OTHER mountains . . . ;)

Yelp
I came for a day trip and honestly I was a bit disappointed. There was a big line to pick up the rentals partly due to corna but I felt like it was a bit much. After I got my rentals as soon as I left the build I slipped on ice. No one even the staff came and to check on me to see how I was doing. Luckily I was fine but very disappointed that there was no sign about slippery surface or anything. Not only that on the mountain there was many jumps on the side and in the middle of the trail. On one of them there was a small jump but then a huge drop after. I fell and it was quite painful. I consider my self a pretty good skier but I was expecting such a huge drop off. I am very disappointed again that there was no sign about the drop off. The other trails were fine but really nothing great. There was many lines at the lifts and there was little done to protect social distancing . I don't think I will return after this experience.

Yelp
I grew up skiing at Pats Peak and loved everything about it. The staff is wonderful and the conditions are great - especially in the morning. It's perfect for families and racers.

Yelp
This review is for the food at the Sled pub. The Chicago deep dish pizza is actually thick pan pizza, not deep dish. Deep dish dough is like a pie dough. It's like Italian Easter pie. The poboys (sandwich) are pretty good. They serve the pickle on the side. I think that's a big mistake. Poboys are kind of like an all or nothing sandwich, dressed or undressed. They're served on a sub roll. The roll is okay. I'd use a large French bread or a small Italian bread. They serve poutine as an appetizer. I liked it. I think it's fun to eat it with your hands.

Yelp
Went yesterday since group rate was only 25$ per a person with a largeeee group. Half the place was pretty icy so it was kinda hard for beginner's if you are snowboarding. I feel like half the staff is new, they had no clue what the answers were for my questions nor did they really know what to do. There was way too many people working and 80% of them were just standing around or just didn't know what to do until instructed by someone older. If you want to switch to skiing half way, you have to pay a $15 fee. Thanks for telling me after i took off my boots..coulda saved me the trouble of taking it off and putting it on. The hot chocolate is tasteless so save your money. The soup was okay.

Yelp
Great place to bring your kids, nieces and or nephews (or even your adult friends!) to go snow-tubing.

Yelp
We came last Saturday for Pat's Peak 50th Birthday celebration and were able to get $30 lift tickets. It's a small mountain and only entertained us for a few hours but the Hurricane was a true black diamond, the Race Trail was fun (albeit a little icy) and Twister was more like a tough Blue, than a black. Cyclone and Tornado are really not what I would call a black diamond. This a great family mountain with plenty of terrain to learn on. The reason for my five stars: the incredible staff. I brought some old hand-me-down skis to try and went to the ski shop to have the bindings adjusted. They were very kind and intelligent. When they told me they would have to remount the bindings, they offered me a rental instead- which I ended up taking. I went over to the rental area and there was plenty of staff to help me through the process and I was able to try a pair of 170s, freshly sharpened and waxed for the day. I had a great time with them. Everyone seemed to be a in great mood and very helpful. Happy Birthday, Pat's Peak. May you have another successful 50 years!

Yelp
Best local ski area for families. Tickets prices are not to high and staff and atmosphere are what you think of when you want a fun day on the slopes. Great parking. Good food and great conditions. Something for everyone including tubing and a terrain park

Yelp
This is a very nice Southern New Hampshire ski area. They have a nice bar upstairs with a BIG deck and tables to go along with the tables inside. 20 ounce draft beers are $7.25. They have a decent sized cafeteria food service area downstairs too and a ski shop. As for the skiing, they have a decent variety of trails, mostly beginner and expert. But, Hurricane is the only one with real teeth. It's pretty steep with HUGE moguls. The folks working here are nice too. It's a great spot for beginners or anyone looking to just get out somewhere close and carve some turns.

Yelp
This review is specifically for The Sled Pub. The management is THE WORST. My friend and I are from the Midwest. I handed the server my Minnesota DL and she said she needs to double check. After 10 mins+ the server came back with her manager and scold us "We need you to leave. This is a fake ID." The MN DMV rolled out a new design of DL last October and just because they've never seen it before they immediately judged it's a fake one. The manager claimed it's not in their "booklet" handed by the state of NH as they were just following the booklet. You could've said in a friendly way, "we couldn't identify your DL". Instead, they made their horrible judgment even they had no evidence. I guess from now on I'll travel with my old and new licenses just in case this happens again. Not going back anyway.

Yelp
Very displeased with the very poorly run and inconvenient shuttle and parking situation. We came with a group of 5 people to get on the shuttle and the driver told us we couldn't get on because there wasn't enough room. She then proceeded to let 6 people on to the shuttle that were in line behind us.
