Pattaya Beach

The beach was busy and full of tourists. Unfortunately, the sand was dirty with quite a bit of trash, so I told my kids to keep their Crocs on. The water looked lively, but not the clear “tour island” color you might expect. There are plenty of people around trying to make money, along with lots of adult-oriented places, restaurants, and shopping nearby. Despite the messiness, it still feels like an okay spot for families to hang out if you’re looking for convenience and activity. Just know where to stay away from.

Pattaya Beach is lively and always busy. The beach runs along the main road, so it’s very easy to access hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, and bars. You can walk along the promenade in the evening, enjoy the sea breeze, and watch a nice sunset. There are plenty of activities like jet skis, parasailing, speed boats, and banana boat rides. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available, but prices can vary, so better to confirm before sitting. Food vendors are everywhere, selling snacks, drinks, and street food. The downside is that the beach can get crowded, especially in the evenings and on weekends. Water quality is average, not the cleanest compared to islands nearby like Koh Larn. It’s more about the atmosphere than a peaceful beach experience. Good place to relax, people-watch, enjoy nightlife nearby, and spend time if you’re staying in the city. If you want clear water and calm beaches, a short trip to nearby islands is a better option.

A beautiful beach but only till evening 6 pm. After that it becomes a hub for illicit activity; girls every where looking for clients. It has a large foot path for walking and there are different variety of seating options where you can get thai food, drinks and coconut.

Lots of activities as mentioned in the day time like para-sailing, banana boat, jet ski. For me, my objective is the annual firework display by invited international pyrotechnic team from around the world. 3rd years in a row attending this event, Road closure and local authorities are stepping up their A game to ease end of event bottlenecks. The orderly the home crowd displays really attracts me to come back for more. Thumbs up to the Thais for being so orderly and well manner during the event. Saturday night is always the highlight of the event with the biggest crowd on the beach since its convenient for Thai. Options for viewing are like 1. paying premium to get a seating in the nearby restaurant. 2.rent a beach chair which requires you to be at the beach like 4pm onwards. 3. Hotel room facing the central beach. 4. Sit on the beach. Had tried it all..

Beautiful Beach with Lively Atmosphere Pattaya Beach offers a nice mix of sea views, city vibes, and activities. Great for walking along the shore, enjoying sunset views, or trying water sports. Plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby make it lively and convenient for visitors.

Its a nice clean wide sandy beach, but does not have the clear water like the southern islands. If your lucky it does have nice sunsets, and not too crowded

Decent beach with a nice atmosphere, though not perfect. I was lucky to catch the Pattaya Fireworks Festival here — the fireworks filled the sky all at once and were absolutely breathtaking. That experience really elevated the visit and became one of the highlights of my trip to Pattaya.

Fantastic presentation of the international fireworks display last night. Really well organized. Highly recommend going to this event every year. Absolutely free to attend.
