Restaurant Review: Patzeria Pizza, Times Square NYC Patzeria Pizza became my go-to spot during my week-long stay in Times Square—literally just a one-minute walk from my hotel, which made it incredibly convenient. I ended up stopping by five times in seven days! They offer a huge variety of pizza slices, and every time you order, they pop your slice into the oven to warm it up. While most of the time the result was delicious, a couple of slices came out slightly overcooked with a hard, dark crust. Still, the flavors kept me coming back. My favorites were the pepperoni, beef, sausage, and bacon slice—loaded with meat and great flavor. I also tried the sausage with peppers and onions, which was generously piled with sausage and made for a hearty bite. Their cheese pizza was another standout—simple, classic, and satisfying. My granddaughter ordered the fettuccine Alfredo one night, and she raved about it, calling it the best she’s ever had. It came with a side of garlic bread that hit the spot. Prices were reasonable: a cheese slice ran about $4–$5, and my combo of a meat-heavy slice with a can of Coke was around $9–$10. They also offer a full Italian menu, which we only began to explore. Seating is limited, with a small indoor counter and a few tables outside under a covered sidewalk space. Unfortunately, the tables weren’t always the cleanest, and garbage sometimes piled up—definitely something they could improve. All that said, the fast service, solid food, and unbeatable location made this a reliable and tasty option. Not perfect, but definitely worth a visit if you're staying nearby.

We stopped in for dinner after a show and tried broccoli white pizza and pepperoni & jalapeño. Great pizza! The guys working there were so nice and spoke both Spanish and English. There are plenty of chairs out front to sit and eat so we got ours on paper plates instead of a box and ate there. We would definitely go back!

Great place to grab a quick delicious slice before or after a show. It’s right across the street from the Hamilton theater. It’s a very small shop with a lot of variety of toppings. No place to sit down inside, but there’s a small ledge to quickly eat on or eat on the go. Very convenient when you need to grab a quick bite.

Little NY Hidden Gem. Way better than Joe’s Pizza. This is hidden on a side road in the neighbourhood of Times Square & they have so many options and friendly staff. I would go again. Total was $14.97 with a drink

Google
First time getting New York Style Pizza in actual New York. I was not disappointed even my friends enjoyed the food and they are born and raised in Bronx and Jersey City💪🏿

Google
We visited New York for the first time. We were only there for three days, but ate here twice. It was excellent. If you want to try an excellent New York style pizza while visiting New York, this is the place. We didn’t need to try any others. Very conveniently located close to Time Square. Just down the street. It’s perfect.

My husband wanted a Calzone, and we had come here in 2022. It was all he could talk about. I asked if it was as good as he remembered, and the answer was YES. My daughter had a cheese calzone My husband a cheese, and sausage calzone, and we got 3 slices of pizza, vegetarian, ham, and pineapple and pepperoni and mushroom. Everything was awesome. The dough on the pizza was perfect 👌 Prices were good, and there was somewhere to sit.

Google
Super staff, pizza crust was amazing. Thin, crisp, not soggy. French fries very crispy. Everything was piping hot and as good as people say!

Yelp
YUMMY YUMMY pizza! while Joe's is amazing and popular, everyone's missing out on this place. location is conveniently near Times Square and offers various flavors at an amazing price. i honestly preferred this place over joes. The staff was amazing, they all deserve a raise. They're welcoming and friendly. We came back 3 days back to back to back just for them. they're open until 12am which means our late night cravings are extremely satisfied

Yelp
Solid pizza joint right by our hotel. Tiny outside seating area. Close to everything.

Yelp
We checked out Patzeria Pefect pizza right after seem a broadway play. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. There was a great variety of pizzas by the slice. I ordered a pepperoni which was delivered nice and hot within 30 seconds. It definitely hit the spot. Cost me 5 bucks which is pretty average nowadays. It's a decent sized slice. I would go back.

Yelp
My mouth is watering thinking about this pizza. Hands down one of the best slices I've ever had in my life - and I've had pizza in several different countries! The service was quick and I appreciated them bringing our heated slices out to us. The space to eat outside wasn't the cleanest area but you also have to remember where it is - in not the cleanest city ‍ If anyone, I'd take half a star away for the cleanliness but since I can't do that, I'll give them all 5 for the taste!!

Yelp
This review is simply based on the regular slice. I have been here many times over the years, but always popping in for a simple snack. Never a serious meal. For that purpose, I feel that they do a great job with the regular slice. The best part is that they make the crust super thin and very crispy. The tomato sauce was good too with a hint of sweetness and lots of flavor. While there is plenty of cheese, it was not greasy at all. It works for me when I just want to stop in for a quick bite, either before or after a Broadway show.
google avatar

Adrian B.

Yelp
Thought the place was cool inside and the staff were amazing. I really enjoyed their calzones and the slice wasn't bad either. When I am back in New York again I will definitely buy a few calzones for the road.

Yelp
Patzeria is nothing, if not consistent. Not consistently great or terrible, just consistently fine. It's located right across the street from the Richard Rogers Theater (Hamilton) and the center of the theater district. You always know you can run to Patzeria for a fine enough slice, which is perfect when running to and from the theater. The guys behind the counter are nice. They consistently heat slices until they are absolutely scalding. Not the worst thing during the winter. You really can't eat inside the store as there are only a couple of bar seats and everyone crams in to wait for their slices. But, post-covid, they opened a dining shed with a few tables for seating. During the summer there were some bees and of course during the winter it can be frigid when you are mostly open to the elements.

Yelp
We stopped here for a quick slice after catching a show on Broadway on Saturday August 31st. This spot is located literally across the street from Hamilton. They have some outdoor seating under the boxes they created for outdoor dining in 2020, other than that it's a grab n go place. Now out of the 3 places we tried pizza at over the weekend, this was my favorite. Perfect blend of ingredients, thickness of dough, & density of the slice. We walked about 2 blocks to our hotel room before grubbing it down, and it wasn't as hot as I expected it to be, my only knock. I would grab another slice here again though, and eat it right there on the sidewalk.
google avatar

Melanie D.

Yelp
was absolutely starving and had to stop by somewhere to grab a slice of something. I walked in here and it's a very tiny pizzeria, typical for your time Square area where real estate is a premium. The gentleman inside were very nice and they were pumping out pizzas very quickly, as it was extremely crowded, and everyone was packed like sardines in there. We got two regular slices and one upside down, they were both pretty mediocre. As a New Yorker my standards are pretty high and I feel like Taurus would probably enjoy this location, but it was just OK for me. Appreciate the hard work of the gentleman who work there

Yelp
Hungry after the theater... look no further. This Broadway staple has been serving good NY style pizza for decades. My parents took me here when I was growing up, I took my boys here when we would leave a show and last night when my husband and I were on 46th street after the show we just walked right in to order a slice. No seats, just walk inside, order and you can wait by the window for piping hot pizza. Crispy thin crust with good sauce and cheese. Sauce was a little sweeter than I remember but still good.

Truth K.

Yelp
Food and service both we're poor. Barely anywhere to sit outside. I suggest if you want pizza you go to Angelina's to have better pizza, a place to sit and use a bathroom and better service.

Yelp
Quick stop in shop across from Richard's Rogers theater. Solid quick choice. Nice thin slice. Lost one star because only B rating

Brianne R.

Yelp
Small place with outdoor seating, super close to all the big broadway theatres. When busy it can get cramped so just be prepared for that. The spinach ricotta pizza had nice flavor, a little greasy though and crust was on the thicker side so if you like a crust real thin, this may not be the place for you. The cheese calzone was delicious. Simple yet effective nice crispy outside with all the cheese you could want on the inside. The red sauce was also very yummy, so good I almost wanted to drink it. The service was pretty quick, even menu items that weren't just a slice came out in less than ten minutes. Great if you need a quick snack or want to take out.
google avatar

Tammie W.

Yelp
My friend recommended Patzeria during a work trip, so I hit it up after seeing a show one night for a couple of slices. You can order from the walk up window or step inside and place an order from the counter, which is what I did. I ordered a slice of white and a slice of cheese, waited about 5 minutes to be heated, then stepped out and sat in the parkette. Their red sauce is yummy, the regular cheese was my favorite because it had the perfect amount of chew and grease. The slices are big, so I was nearly full by the time I ate the white pizza. That was superb as well, the cheese was spectacular and I wish I could've finished it. If you're in Times Square or want a quit bite after seeing a show, stop by and grab one. It's worth a stop, the wait isn't long, and they have a wide variety of pizzas from round and thin, to grandma slices, to Sicilian.

Yelp
Staying next door for 6 nights. These people have become family. Every single thing we had was amazing! So lucky to have found them. Bianca pizza, all meat slice, meatball sandwich, Jamaican beef patties, and the chicken soup, oy vey! Prices are so fair too.
google avatar

Dave G.

Yelp
I wanted a slice of something delicious without needing to travel too far from Times Square and I found it! Great pizza with pancetta and sweet sausage!
google avatar

Natasha M.

Yelp
This is the perfect hole in the wall if you're looking for a pizza by the slice spot. My husband and I popped in and knew immediately it was a good spot. The servers were quick and friendly and attentive. The pizza had the perfect crunch in each bite and the flavors were great!
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
Stopped here for a couple slices after a broadway show on a Saturday night! So glad this was close to the theater because I was craving some good NY pizza and this hit the spot. They had a ton options still for it being 11 at night. It was BUSY! It's a small place so when you get 8-10 people in there wanting pizza, it's really crammed. But the guys working the counter were efficient and made sure no one was missed. I picked 2 slices that looked the best/most intriguing to me. They put it in the pizza oven for a quick warm up, you pay, and then wait a couple minutes before they box it up for you. Really good, huge slices! Their slices range from $3.50-$7.00 depending on which ones you pick. So it can get kinda pricey but you're essentially paying for the convenience. I was not mad at the price anyways. Exactly what you would want from NY pizza. They have a good location too.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
good slice of pizza and quick service! perfect for after a broadway show as a quick bite to eat
google avatar

Katherine P.

Yelp
Location was very close to our hotel in Times Square and the options were plentiful whether you were ordering a slice, a whole pie or other Italian specialities. We ordered a whole pie and it took about 10 minutes, came out piping hot and tasted the delicious. They have only outdoor seating on the sidewalk but unfortunately it was super hot so not very comfortable. Either way we ended up enjoyed the pizza.
google avatar

Simon T.

Yelp
Great place to grab a slice! The guys in the back were great and got my slice hot and ready! Would definitely visit again!
google avatar

Hanah L.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and it's still consistently so good! The bottom of the slice is always crisp and crunchy. Perfect for a quick stop while in the theatre district. One time I got some sauce on my blouse and my husband asked if we could get some dish soap to clean it. They were so sweet and put it in a water bottle and diluted it for me. Totally broke the New Yorker stereotype for us!
google avatar

Jeff L.

Yelp
We enjoyed the atmosphere, staff and pizza: cheese, white pizza and sicilian slices before seeing another Broadway show "Maybe Happy Ending" and had a nice time talking to others before they went to see Hamilton next door.
google avatar

Cole D.

Yelp
This was super depressing. I had a super good slice at Pop's up the street and I'm made I came here after. They didn't compete, but reviews here are even better. I got a marinara and grandma slice. The marinara is wet with all the tomatoes. It's not a marinara, it's their own veggie style slice. Nothing was piping hot. The grandma slice had a crunchy bottom, but I can't even recall what the flavors were. It felt airy and old. Service is rushed like Seinfeld Soup Spot. Not the kindness, really speedy. Not rude at all, but not friendly.

Yelp
We stayed at the Marriott Marquis and I love that this place was literally one minute outside the lobby. Was very good and would definitely come back.
google avatar

Shernell H.

Yelp
By far the BEST margarita pizza I have had to date. The flavor was excellent (it must have been the garlic sauce that allowed this sort of perfection) and the freshness of the ingredients were essential. The service was also very quick. ***My only concern was the lack of gloves in this place, which seems to be the norm, possibly?***
google avatar

Finessa S.

Yelp
10 years later and we come back every holiday season for our annual trip into the city. Now we get to bring our children. Pizza is always just as good as we remember it. We always get the chicken cutlet and I LOVE the margarita. The owner says he remembers us every year, I'm not sure but we remember him!
google avatar

A B.

Yelp
Delicious especially the margherita. Pretty fast. Reasonable price to quality to size ratio (about $7/slice).
google avatar

Asia A.

Yelp
Fast service, but not a great slice of pizza. Unsanitary space, no flavor, really unmemorable pizza. We stopped here when passing by to get a quick bite and left really underwhelmed.
google avatar

Bethany L.

Yelp
Stars for great location to grab a post-show slice. Stars for a friendly staff that seemed to be having fun while working! It wasn't my favorite slice - missing that cheese pull for sure - but I love that they have a variety of flavors. My sister tried the lasagna flavor and absolutely loved it - she said it tasted spot on! While I wanted standard cheese, I didn't see any available at the time (honestly, that should be illegal in NYC, no? I joke.), so I opted for the margarita. They also have some outdoor seats, which is nice if you don't want to grab and go!
google avatar

Tiffany P.

Yelp
If you're looking for a unique pizza flavor, try Grandma's pizza - It's smothered in a yummy sweeter-than-usual tomato sauce! The other items were alright: *Margherita slice: Ordinary. *Deluxe veggie slice: Great fiber source.  *Garlic knots: Not really garlicky.  We luckily beat the crowd and came when there was no line. A friendly worker recommended the lasagna pizza and Grandma's pizza. You can't sit inside the little dark pizzeria, but you might have luck finding a table outside. Compared to the other NY pizzerias I visited, Patzeria Perfect Pizza had softer and slightly soggier crusts, but Grandma's pizza made our visit worthwhile!

Plain F.

Yelp
Terrible. My wife ordered a slice by mistake from the one she really wanted, they made her pay for it anyway. Terrible customer service.
google avatar

Carly C.

Yelp
People here are getting pizza. Although they have other things. For NY- it's Eh pizza. There's better to be found. This spot was good though and right by our hotel so we went 2 times. I am being picky- but if they had to work on something it's being consistent. Sometimes crust is great. Sometimes to cooked and crunchy. Small spot. Options can include to go or just on a plate, drinks, garlic oregano or chili pepper shakers, and will cost you about 5$ a slice. Slices are pretty decent sized.
google avatar

Luis Felipe Z.

Yelp
Was in NY and wanted to have NY pizza. Guys working there are very nice and recommended the 3 meats and and pepperoni with sausage. Both were delicious! Service was quick and was able to sit outside for the typical NY ambiance.
google avatar

M. S. G.

Yelp
Easy to order online via Yelp/Grubhub. Pizzas were ready on time and price was good. Also had Caesar salad and a chocolate dessert. Easy to find right off Times Square. Napkins, plastic cutlery all provided. Recommended for carry out pizza when staying around Times Square or for a slice when passing through.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Might be the best pizza I have ever had. So perfectly cheesy with the right about of sauce that creates the perfect balance. I can't say enough about how good it was.
google avatar

Barry S.

Yelp
They work fast to get your order. The pizza is hot and fresh. It is also yummy. This is where I got my first slice of NYC pizza and I can't wait to try other places .
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Really mid, very disappointing. Gets a lot of business due to its location. Walk a few more blocks away from Times Square and you will find bar better options.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopping by during our first visit to NYC together in 2017, Patzeria Perfect Pizza is easily not only top slice when it comes to NYC pizza for me and my husband but a must visit each trip as well. Open during evening hours (and open late) this no frills joint offers grab-n-go options as well as a small handful of seats outside. The interior of Patzeria is small, so make your way in and join the line of folks to order at the counter. The line makes its way past the pizza counter so you can see what by-the-slice options are currently being offered. While they do offer a full and varied menu, we've only ever done their by the slice/grab n go options. One giant slice is typically enough to statisfy me but on occasion I've ordered two when super hungry and I can never finish. Being vegetarian I've always tried whatever veggie-friendly offering they have at the time but I must say my fav slice (and the one that makes me happiest to see at their pizza counter) is the broccoli pie. My husband really enjoys the classic pepperoni as well as their meatball n veggie slice. Even when there's a bit of a line it moves very quickly and service has always been friendly. Staff has always been helpful and willing to explain what slices are available to help make the right decision. All of the reasons listed above, as well as the fact they're open until midnight on the regular, makes Patzeria a no-brainer for us looking for a quick and cheap bite after a night at the theatre.

Mary L.

Yelp
Perfectly little hidden gem. It's a very small restaurant with only standing room only inside. The pizza is generously topped with toppings and perfect little crunch. Prices are reasonable for the location.$3.75 a cheese slice or $6.50 for a specialty slice
google avatar

Melanie Y.

Yelp
The Margherita pizza here is incredible! Not your typical margherita - slightly thicker than the average thin crust NYC pizza, and SUPER garlicky. Fresh tomatoes, basil and sauce, and I think there's no such thing as too much garlic! I also got the Hawaiian pizza, which was yummy, but just wasn't as good. Everything was delicious but I'd definitely go back again for the fantastic margherita. In total, it was about $11 for these two giant pizza slices - I finished both and was so full! Absolutely delicious and you can take in a box to go or sit down in the outdoor seating to enjoy.

Bridgette G.

Yelp
Grandmas pie is where it is at! Worth the stop. I'll dream about this pizza. All of them are good.
google avatar

Samantha D.

Yelp
One of many pizza shops near Times Square. The place is tiny, only having a standing counter against the wall. They have a decent selection displayed at a time, maybe 6-8 different types of pizza. The Margherita slice comes topped with whole slices of tomatoes and basil, and they heat it up for you once you order. The crust is crispy, but the center is a bit more dense than I would've like. I loved the giant garlic flavor the slice had, differentiating it from other Margherita slices. The pizza tastes so much healthier than the slices I'm used to. However, when I'm eating pizza, I want the grease and fat and all the bad things that come with it. It didn't satisfy my craving of what I normally think of pizza as.
google avatar

Paula G.

Yelp
The pizza is soooooo good. I had Sicilian and hubby had pizza with spinach and cheese and they have garlic knots- amazing

Karita W.

Yelp
Best pizza in New York! The staff is amazing and top notch! Clean and a perfect spot.

Nicolas V.

Yelp
This is the most disgusting pizza place ever. I rather go to Pizza Hut than this place. The pizza was very salty and the service is rude. The wings here are also salty and nasty. I rather go to KFC. DON'T EAT HERE.

Laurie G.

Yelp
Right across from the Marriott Marquis. Super quick and affordable service. Great pizza and mozzarella sticks!

Risa A.

Yelp
What a great find a few doors down from our hotel! Delicious crispy thin crust pizza. I had a slice of the Margarita and my friend had a slice of the Lasagna one. Yummy!
