After hearing about this location for years, took the road trip up to Solvang to check out these delicious pancakes. We waited in line for almost an hour, and we’re finally seated. It’s a beautiful area with lots of trendy little shops. The service was really great and the people were really nice. The pancakes were OK and the danish sausage was really kind of different. I was sad. They don’t use real butter because who doesn’t love real butter. It’s very pricey and the portions are pretty small. The food came very quickly and was kind of hot it was a little weird that we got the pancakes and sausage and had to wait for five minutes to get our eggs which looked a little weird but everything tasted just OK

Google
The pancakes were great, just a little too sickly for me. Too much cream. The maple syrup was way too watered down, more like a simple syrup. There was a little wait but you can tell this isn’t authentic, more of a tourist trap. I don’t think they’re trying to be authentic either, which is great. Sausage was decent. Staff were nice. Just nothing special… in Paula’s special.

Google
The vibe is good. It is quite busy during peak season so expect a long waiting line. The staff only call your name twice and if you do not show up, name crossed! So do not go too far!!! Food side, I love Danish pancake here more than traditional pancake, it is a bit like crepe. The syrup is a bit thin and I think it is not maple. The hash brown is more like butter stirred potatoes than crispy harsh. Overall the food is good. Come if you are staying across the street. But I would not bookmark it or just take a detour for this restaurant.

We never miss the opportunity to have breakfast here whenever we get chance to go to Solvang. It’s a must visit place. Just need to have patience as it’s crowded all the time. Try to avoid weekends if you can.

Google
Really is worth the hype. The Danish pancakes and sausage were excellent. Service is fast. We got here right when they opened and were seated immediately but in general be prepared to wait.

Google
The food was a bit overrated. The wait was pretty bad, they close the waiting list and open it up at certain unexpected times. Location and prices are pretty good. The server was very good especially since it was a busy day. I ordered the combination plate which I was told was the most popular. The danish pancakes tasted like normal thin pancakes, if I didn’t order the fruit and whipped cream for $4.50 more I would have been more disappointed. My fiance ordered Lox eggs Benedict. He rated it a 3/5. Overall I would come here if there wasn’t a wait expecting an adequate breakfast but if I had to wait even 20 minutes I’d look elsewhere.

Christina

Google
The wait for a table was around 25 minutes, which was not bad given how crowded it was. The restaurant was cozy and decorated for the holiday season. I did not care too much for the food. The syrup seemed watered down as the orange juice did as well. The buttermilk pancake and waffles were decent. The Dutch pancake was just okay. Eggs were overly scrambled and dry. I added a Dutch sausage, which was probably the only thing that had any flavor. I spent a little under $70 for a family of 3, which was not bad, but I was definitely disappointed with the food.

Google
Did quite a drive from Oxnard to Solvang to try this place out and I have to say it was so worth the drive and wait. waitress was nice food was so good I got the danish omelet and a order of danish pancakes and everything tasted great, orange juice is freshly squeezed will be back soon. I highly recommend this place if you’re willing to drive out there like myself.

Yelp
While in Rome do as the Roman's do...translation... when in a Danish town eat the Danish pancakes!!! Word is already out about Paula's as we snagged one of the last spots before the waitlist was closed off for an hour. Amazingly, people waited in another line to wait for the waitlist to reopen again. That's how hopping this place is. The hostess was spot on about the 50 minute quote she gave us. Note: Your entire party does need to be there in order to be seated but you can see why because every seat in the house is constantly full. So basically, what I'm telling you is get there early!!! While Paula's has a large and extensive menu, really what you should be ordering and what is delicious are the Danish pancakes (fruit, meat, eggs, syrup, powdered sugar, filled, etc) You can get them a variety of ways but anyway is YUM! Despite being crazy busy, the hostess (who had mad coordination skills) and our waitress were both very pleasant and efficient. Service was fast and the food were both solidly delicious! Bonus points for being able to bring your dog for outdoor patio seating.

Yelp
3.5 stars rounded up. Bottom line: I wouldn't wait hours for this food, but they are fairly accurate with their wait times, so I would get on a waitlist if possible and check out the Xmas store across the street to kill time. Hits for me at this place are the sausage and corn beef hash. The sausage is Danish style, and the seasonings are different from your average breakfast sausage. I also thought the corned beef hash had a tasty rich flavor that was a little different from like a can of corned beef. (Granted, I have not eaten a can of corned beef for decades, so maybe not the best point of comparison.) The breakfasts were pretty standard fare. A lot of the breakfast combos come with hash, biscuit, fruit, or some combo of the 3. It was nice to get a spread of food. One definite miss for me was the French toast. I'm not sure if it was just insufficient soaking of the egg or the fact that they chose sourdough as the base for the toast, but the French toast was very eggy. Instead of a custard-like bread, it tasted like I ate toast with an egg coating. It could have been a bad batch, but I would hesitate to get this again.

Yelp
So on our trip to Solvang we knew we had to get to Paula's. So when we are driving by and see the long line, we're like "oh ho". But after getting into line [about 10:35 AM] we are told that they will reopen taking names at 11 AM and it will be noon before we probably get in. By 11:15 a gal came by looking for a pair that would be willing to eat at the counter so we jumped at the opportunity. We shared the Paula's Pancake combo but we added a sausage. When the plate came, my wife noticed that is was a Dutch style sausage and not a patty. She asked if it could be changed and they were very amicable and did. It was out in minutes and she really enjoyed that. She tasted my Dutch style sausage and she was not big on that so she was very grateful for their making the change. We would have been willing to buy the extra sausage but since the waitress simply put it down then picked it right up, she was able to make the swap. It looks like an old diner inside. Pretty tight and only two restrooms for everyone but this is a must stop if you are in the area.

Yelp
Came to Paula's pancake house based on the tons of great reviews both in and out of Yelp. Here are the highlights: - i love the indoor / outdoor seating options. They have heating available if it's a bit chilly and you still want to sit outside. This is what we chose. It's in theory a great way to have breakfast (more on this later) - the service i would say was above address. They did forget to come back a time or two for promised items like refills and napkins but it was busy, and they were friendly. - the sausage i had in the pancake was phenomenal The meh - honestly not that the pancake was bad but it definitely was not a traditional Dutch pancake. Maybe i was expecting too much? But it's just a thing traditional American pancake for more than the average pancake cost. Now the absolute worst. THE BIRDS! There are birds everywhere that come out. Literally everywhere. If you are not paying attention or stop eating they will fly by and steal anything off of your plate/table- which they did multiple times. That was a huge let down because you were honestly swatting birds constantly after a while. Get a seat indoors, please.

Yelp
Come early! We got there around 8am and it was a 10 minute wait. Around 12pm the line looked really nuts. We came for the danish pancakes since this seems to be a staple in town. I didn't know what to expect since I have nothing to compare it to but the food was pretty mediocre. The pancake was like a crepe - not bad. Everything else, especially the sausage and biscuit is something I'd never get again.

Yelp
Came here during Sunday afternoon but it's a packed house. Street parking only area. Parked a few blocks away and walked over for lunch but we end up ordering breakfast items instead. Their pancake is a must try. Large, thin, and fluffy. Ordered strawberries Dutch pancakes and smoked salmon Benedict and a side order of sausage, eggs and bacon to share. Pancakes and smoked salmon Benedict were so good! It is a good portion to share among 3 people. Sausage was disappointing and not my cup of tea. Would highly recommend to order their pancakes and smoked salmon Benedict. It's a must have! Just skip the sausage.

Yelp
I tend to be skeptical of places that have been super hyped up. And everyone was telling me that I needed to try this spot on my first trip to Solvang. Well I'm glad I listened because oh my God this place was so good. I will say we tried going on Monday 12/16 around 10am and it was PACKED. We were successful going Tuesday around 7:30am lol. But it was nice going that early because we got to sit indoors by the window and watch as ppl passed by and came in. Our server was very nice, especially considering how cold and early it was. She was very quick and answered our questions very detailedly. Everything we ate was delicious! The danish pancakes absorbed the syrup so well and I enjoyed the whipped cream and fruits. If you're trying to decide which ones to get on top, get the warm apple and cinnamon. It's AMAZING.

Yelp
Paula's pancake house is good... Located on the Main street in Solvang next to the brewery and Danish bakery you will find Paula's pancake house. We arrived about an hour before they closed so we were seated right away. I was glad we didn't have to wait around since it is always crowded. So lucky for us. Food: 4/5 The food was simple and the apple pancakes were delicious not greasy or too heavy just right. I had the egg whites cause balance and some coffee that was pretty delicious. I just didn't feel it was something that was worth 5 stars it was a little over your typical breakfast place. Service: 5/5 they were closing up and seemed like they were on a mission. They didn't rush us but were straight to the point. They were dressed in Danish outfits so that was pretty cool. We had our doggos and we got them sausages and they brought a water bowl so super doggo friendly. Prices : are just one $ sign. Good prices for a good deal of food. Parking: Plenty of parking out on the main street. There are only two breakfast spots on this main street so Paula gets all the love from the people. I will keep coming to Paula's when in the area..TBC

Yelp
There was a long line when I arrived, but I expected the wait since it was a Saturday morning in December. It took us (party of two) about an hour to get seated at the bar. The food came out almost immediately after ordering, but everything was fresh and hot. I had to get the Danish Pancakes with warm apples, and I really loved it! The pancakes are thin, in between a crepe and a regular pancake. The whipped cream was delicious and not sweet, it added a nice flavor and creaminess to the pancakes. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, but might not be worth the wait for larger parties.

Yelp
Paula' Pancake house did not disappoint. Had a home cooked feeling to it. Dog Friendly! Inside and outdoor seating. Prompt service. Had the Danish pancakes with fruit: yummy! Eggs were really good. The pups has some sausage patties and they were not disappointed. Located right on the main street so if you like people watching the outside patio is for you. Had a good experience and I would return if ever in the area.

Yelp
The food was amazing from the mouthwatering omelet, blueberry pancakes, waffles, and Danish pancakes. What really topped it was the amazing mimosas. They use fresh oranges. The service was great from the reception to our server. Very attentive. The ambiance was perfect. We sat outside as the wait for inside was 15-20 mins so, we decided to eat outside. Pretty cold, but they turned on outside heaters. I will definitely be back tomorrow morning.

Yelp
Sooo delicious! A must stop of you are in the area for breakfast. There are plenty of bakeries around town, but this is a good spot to get a nice filling breakfast. The hash browns were delicious, and we got seated pretty quickly at 7:30am. The pancakes were amazing!

Yelp
We came here the day after Christmas and it was absolutely crowded..there were people standing everywhere blocking sidewalks..absolute madness..we got there a little late around 11:15 am but they weren't accepting anymore names for the waitlist until after 12:30pm. We waited out front and at about 12:25pm they took us in almost immediately. We got seated and our server Myah and she was on it. The food was absolutely delicious and affordable. Not too expensive. We had excellent service and the decorations were so cute. It was definitely worth the wait!

Yelp
If you are in Solvang, Paula's Pancake House is one of the most popular dining options in the city! We had a mishap with our transportation leaving Solvang on a Sunday morning so we got to Paula's a little before 7am when it opens. We weren't really waiting in line but right before 7 am, people came out of every direction and there was a huge line that formed. It was very chilly outside being November so we got seated first and right inside by a window. There was two couples for our party of 4 and both couples split the danish pancakes with warm apples on top and a danish sausage and it since it was a combo it came with a couple eggs. The scrambled eggs were not good at all but that wasn't the reason we came. The danish pancakes were incredible and thin and just super tasty! I loved the warm apples on top, I wish we had ordered the whipped cream on top as well, if you do its an extra charge. The danish sausage wasn't as good as the other breakfast spot we tried but decent enough. We also ended up ordering a fresh squeezed orange juice mimosa and that was sooo good because the juice was so fresh! The service was decent, they kept refilling our coffees and food came out really quick. The bathrooms are small but there are two of them. The dining is both inside and patio seating outdoors as well. By the time we left the place a little after 8 am, the entire restaurant was filled inside and outdoors! If you don't want as long of a wait, come early!

Yelp
Came here for brunch. The spot is a perfect little spot on the Main Street. Love the vibes and ambiance of the location. The customer service was perfect. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Ordered their famous danish pancake combo with hash browns and scrambled eggs. The pancakes were amazing. 5 star for sure. Don't let the thin size fool you. They are packed with flavor, and stay warm and yummy. The eggs and hash browns were also good. I will be coming back to here on my next trip.

Yelp
This is one of the places to try while in Solvang! We got there around 8:15/8:30 and there was already a line of people waiting. No worries, there are two stores next door to rummage through while waiting for your name to be called. After about 30 mins we were seated inside. There are only two bathrooms and the line to wait for it is over by the entrance with one person waiting for the bathroom by the doors. I got the turkey sausage with two eggs, hash browns, a bit of fruit and a Sourdough English Muffin instead of normal toast ($15.95). The turkey sausage was just okay - I don't know why I didn't go for the Danish-Style Sausage! My husband got their Danish Combo which comes with Danish pancakes topped with blueberries with their sausage and two eggs ($17.25). His sausage was really good - Juicy and full of flavor, I was jealous. Their pancakes were thin and light, not too sweet. Very good. Their service is really good too - Our waiter kept coming checking in on us which was nice and would fill up our water glasses. The only thing I didn't like were the flies by the window - About three of them all around us while we ate.

Yelp
Service was quick and friendly--we got seated fast and the food came about 15 minutes later! We had the Danish pancakes and pancake combination. The Danish pancakes were like imitation crepes. Syrup was watery and not viscous, the fruit was sour, and the eggs were unseasoned. The pancakes weren't anything special either :/

Yelp
Right in the heart of downtown Solvang, this quaint little brunch spot is well known for its breakfast pancakes. The service was definitely not greatest. I went early the afternoon and it wasn't that packed. I had to stop the waitress and tell her I was ready to order after a while of waiting. The waitress barely asked me if I wanted anything, nor even offer me coffee refills. The service was disappointing unfortunately. The food was ok. The pancakes were nothing subpar with the exception of the fresh strawberries. They have indoor and outdoor dang which is great. The dress attire is definitely cute! Worth trying when in Solvang. Hopefully better service.

Yelp
A group of 6 of us arrived at 10:30 am on a Sunday. We requested a table inside and were told the wait was about 45 mins. In the meantime we checked out the bakery next door for some coffee and a pastry. We were seated right at 11:08 am. The table got different types of egg Benedict's or pancake specials. Everyone rated their meal a 5/5. Portions were huge. Food came out of the kitchen warm and fast. I had the la cakes and they were light, fluffy, and the syrup was not too sweet.

Yelp
Recently stopped by and what a place!! Absolutely loved their Danish pancakes with their home made sausages. Do expect huge lines during the weekends or holidays but trust me it worth it. After putting your name down, I would highly recommend stay close to the entrance way since they move waiting list pretty fast. Come hungry and enjoy their Danish ambiance. Repeat customer!!!

Yelp
Talk about fast service and generous portions of delicious food! My fiancée and I decided to stop by this fantastic breakfast spot based on glowing recommendations from family and friends during our trip to Solvang--and it did not disappoint. The pancakes were a delightful surprise! Unlike the usual fluffy ones, they were thin yet packed with incredible flavor, making them a unique and memorable treat. The portions were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. If you're a coffee lover, I highly recommend trying their lattes and coffee--they were absolutely spot-on and the perfect complement to the meal. This place is a true gem and a winning choice for breakfast in Solvang. We'll definitely be back on our next visit!

Yelp
We came around 10:45 am but their waitlist wasn't going to open up until 12 again. We came back and we were seated in about 10 minutes. The servers were really nice but just really busy. I got the danish pancake combo. They were good but nothing too special. It's just a flat pancake. I was expecting there to be crispy edges. The danish sausage was good and flavorful. It does get pretty packed so I think it's best to get the first available seating. This place is pretty average but still good!

Yelp
Nothing STACKS up to Paula's Pancakes, and I'll stand by that! Was recommended this spot by a coworker who SWORE the pancakes were so good that she can't eat them anywhere else, and I highly agree. They specialize in danish breakfast, and as their name suggests, their beautifully thin and airy pancakes topped with their fresh, housemade cream is a must order. I opted for the Danish pancake combination (priced VERY affordably at $16 without add-ons), which also comes with 2 eggs and your choice of bacon or their signature Danish sausage, which is also a must-order and one of the BEST I've ever had. We were originally quoted a 50 minute wait that ended up being less than 15 minutes, and I highly recommend sticking it out for one of the BEST breakfasts I've ever had!

Yelp
Checking out what the hype was all about this place. There's always a massive line for breakfast which was a big turn off for us. But we bite the bullet and gave it a try. Even when it was still early, there was a massive line. We put our name down for 2 at around 9am. The wait time was given at about 45 min. Which gave us plenty of time to walk around and check out the little village. Well majority of the places were open yet. There was also a massive crowd standing outside just waiting for their name to be called for their table. Give or take 25/30 people and more just kept adding to it. Given it was popular, hence trying it out. We got seated outside which was fine. It's your full on breakfast spot with all your traditional dishes and the famous danish pancake. Of course, had to give it a try. It was good. Light and fluff which was nice with the berries and cream. The other dishes we had, chicken fried steak and the pork chops. They were nice as well. It was quite busy but food didnt take long to come out. Also had the mimosas which they brought out a mini bottle and the oj. Was it worth it, it was good. But not worth waiting in line for that long. There's other nice breakfast place nearby which we did notice a lot of people ended up doing. It was nice and a big tourist hot spot. If the line was shorter, I'll probably give it another shot.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Do get there early (6am-7am) or you will be out on a wait list. We had a party of 5 and had to wait 45 minutes at 8:30am. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. Lots of inside and outside seating but it was a tad cold so we opted for inside. A must visit for anyone who has never been to this nice little town.

Yelp
A traditional Danish breakfast in a traditional Danish town, or at least a very good facsimile. Traditional diner vibe. Got the Danish pancakes with blueberries, danish sausage and mimosas just because. Food was tasty. Wait staff was pleasant. Lots of regulars as well as tourists like us. Outdoor as well as indoor seating. Decent fare at a reasonable price.

Yelp
Worth the wait ! We waited in line for about 30 minutes before being seated and it was totally worth it. The service was fast and it feels like a breakfast diner. Food is delicious and good size portions. The Dutch pancakes are amazing ! So was the Dutch sausage, country fried steak and eggs and even the biscuit was good! Friendly customer service everyone is so attentive. I'll definitely be back when in town. Family environment as well so it's good for all ages. The whole town is amazing. Felt like I was in a Christmas movie .

Yelp
My family and I visited Solvang right after Christmas for two days and we came here both mornings for breakfast. The food, service and ambience were all great. I would set your expectations that there will most likely be a wait, but if you plan accordingly, you'll enjoy going and it'll be worth it. Evelyn, the hostess, is amazing. She really knows how to manage the large crowds that come and has a very efficient system. Note that if it's really busy, you may not be able to do take out but other times, you may be able to, so make sure to ask. The first day, it was super busy, no take out option was available. I was given a return time so I took the kids next door to the bakery and walked around until we were called. The second day, it was raining and there was still a line but I was able to do take out. We ordered Danish pancakes, ribeye and eggs, and Danish sausage and eggs. Our orders came with hash browns, toast and were very filling. Food was really good and it came out fast. Our server was so friendly and service was speedy. I will always come here for breakfast when I visit Solvang. The only thing is to not go when kids (or adults) are hangry, so plan accordingly.

Yelp
WOW! This was the most delicious and perfect breakfast in Solvang! I have never had Danish pancakes before and these turned me from anti-pancakes for breakfast to yes please Danish pancakes all day every day. The pancake was thin and crepe-like with the perfect amount of sweetness that didn't even need syrup. I got them with warm apple cinnamon and fresh whip cream and just wow. It felt really light too. Pro tip: get a side of eggs and hash browns to complete the breakfast without paying extra getting the "two eggs" breakfast. The hash browns were very clearly home made and hit the spot! I will say the wait here is INSANE and you kinda have to go really early, get lucky, or wait 1-2 hours to be seated! Well worth it though and I will absolutely be back whenever I'm in Solvang.

Yelp
We came on a Wednesday for lunch. We waited a bit at the hostess stand to be acknowledged. There was about a 20 min wait for the quickest table & we ended up sitting indoors. The seating was a little cramped. The ambiance was aged, but it's the old school vibe of a place that's been an institution in Solvang for a while. There are lots of hanging plants, intricate lace curtains, & art on the walls. The unisex restrooms seemed well maintained. There were areas around the ceiling with spiderwebs. What we ordered-- Paula's Special with the Warm Cinnamon Apples option--Don't let the thinness fool you into thinking this won't be filling. The pancake was tasty, the apples were a comforting topper, & the cold whipped cream was nice & thick. Syrup was thin, but sweet. Buttermilk Pancake Combination with poached eggs & sausage patty options--A really good breakfast combo of solid pancakes, flavorful sausage patties, & eggs that were well cooked. The server even asked to what doneness we wanted them poached. Kids Hamburger meal with added cheese, fries, lemonade options--Little one was a happy eater. It came with lettuce & a lot of pickle slices on the side. Our server was awesome. She was very friendly, smiley, & attentive, checking on us multiple times. We never felt rushed.

Yelp
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Came for the danish pancake combo (~$17 to get it with fruit or whipped cream), because you have to get an a danish meal while in the danish capital of America lol (and I didn't see any other place offering "danish" options for breakfast). It was alright. Tasted just like a very thin regular pancake, nothing special. Sausage was good if you sliced it thin, but had a bit of a weird taste in larger chunks. My 2 toddlers shared a kids meal ($10) of 4 dollar pancakes (referring to size, not price) with fruit. The fruit was a little old, but it was a good sized meal for them to split. Service was ok. Came around 7:30 on a Sunday in early August. Got a table outside for 5 no problem. It was a little chilly, but I was fine without a jacket. A larger party came like 10-20 min later and got a table inside..so it could just come down to timing when you come early. It didn't fill up until like 8:20ish? Even then, it was still a short wait. When we drove by on Saturday morning around 10:30, it was packed and looked like it had a long wait. It was a decent meal. Best option for a "danish" breakfast that I saw. Prices were average and service ok.

Yelp
Last time we came here the food was better. Today not so much. The scrambles egg were extremely dry. The cheese on top of the Denver omelette was cold and not melted. The water cup was dirty and still had someone else's lipstick on the rim. Totally gross especially because I wasn't wearing anything on my lips at all. The service is still good and the coffee as well however, I don't think I'll be coming back here again.

Yelp
Got here around 7:45 am and we got the last outside seating for two. Weather was perfect to sit outside. As we waited people kept coming. Get here early if you want to get in quickly. Server came quickly to give us coffee and take our order. The danish pancakes were light, thin and yummy. The poached eggs on the benedict were perfect and the smoked ham was very good. The hollandaise was ok. Overall the egg benedict was very good. Probably my biggest complaint was once our server brought us our food she didn't return. Not sure where she went. Had to get attention of another server to bring us more coffee and another to get the check. Once we got the bill it took another waitress, that we called over, to process our card. We weren't in a hurry but felt badly that we were holding a table for 10 minutes just waiting for someone to take our credit card. Regardless Paula's is a great place for breakfast with so many options everyone should be able to find something they like.

Yelp
The service and food at Paula's are outstanding! Absolutely worth the wait. I can see why this place consistently has lines down the street. Everything was DELICIOUS. Especially the Danish pancakes and the Danish sausage.

Yelp
I am so glad we were recommended to come here when stopping through. Our food was absolutely fantastic, the portions were amazing for the price. All of the women working were so sweet and made sure our coffee was filled at all times. If we stop back through we will most definitely come back! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Food- Our food was really good! Most of us ordered the pancake combination, while I chose the veggie omelette. Great portion sizes, and priced right for the amount of food you bought. Service- We didn't wait too long to sit a party of five. I say roughly about 15-20 minutes, but there's stores nearby to explore and shop while you wait. Our server, Tess, I believe that was her name catered to our table with attentive and care. She constantly did her table check ins and kept our glasses full. Ambiance- Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. We were seated inside which gave cabin diner style vibes. Beautiful hanging indoor plants to add greenery to the ambiance. Thank you! Overall, Solvang is definitely a place you'd want to visit once in your life! Thank you!

Yelp
First time visiting Solvang, so after reading the reviews for Paolas Pancake House we decided to give it a try! My husband and I arrived at 800am, we were seated very quickly, ordered our coffee, breakfast and I was impressed with how fast we received our food. It was made to order and soooooo delicous! Service was excellent and we were very happy to have had a memorable visit! Thank you

Yelp
We went when they opened so we were seated immediately. A line started forming within an hour. Decent pancake breakfast. The best part of this restaurant is the service and the atmosphere. avoid the breakfast sausage. It nearly ruined my morning.

Yelp
Service was ok, we sat outside which was nice. The food was simple no special taste. Same as going to ihop or dennys. The lady that helped us was not so friendly. Only came by once to refill my coffee. And brought me water until the end.

Yelp
Stopped at Paula's for breakfast while passing through Solvang on the way home from a trip. Their danish pancakes were amazing; crispy, sweet, and slightly chewy. I normally don't like thinner pancakes but really enjoyed these. Their egg white omelette was good as well, and everything tastes fresh. Ambiance was nice, we sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air and greenery. Definitely gets crowded, but we were seated and served quickly.

Yelp
While in Solvang I tried this place because it's known for the huge pancakes. I gotta say it didn't disappoint I loved the pancake, I got the danish pancake with bacon and eggs. I could have used some potatoes but overall very good. This place is poppin so arrive early, or be prepared to wait. We got sat at the bar as soon as we got there which wasn't terrible. The restaurant was decorated with a bunch of different artwork, and the waitress had a cute uniform.

Yelp
HAVE: Corned beef hash and eggs with fruit cup, California Special Omellet, Danish Pancake Combination, French toast, and a short stack of buttermilk pancakes TAKE: Their Danish pancake is a standout on the menu. It's like a crepe but tastier, topped with powdered sugar for a sweet touch. Each bite is light and delicious, making it a must-try at the restaurant. The server recommended the California special omelet, a popular choice on their menu. The fluffy eggs are cooked to perfection, creating a creamy and flavorful base with jalapenos filling, making that spicy kick. It is paired with a side of toast and a fruit cup; it's a satisfying and well-balanced breakfast option, I would rate the corned beef hash and over-easy eggs as excellent. The flavors complement each other well, and the dish is satisfying and delicious. The review of the French toast and buttermilk pancakes was omitted because although we ordered them, I didn't have the opportunity to try them. SERVICE: The servers were attentive and checked on us often to ensure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. AMBIANCE: We chose to sit on the patio because we had our dogs with us. The outdoor setting provided a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing us to dine comfortably while enjoying the fresh air and the company of our dogs. You can expect excellent food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere at a reasonable price. We were so impressed with the food that we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant one more time before we headed home. TIPS: They open at 0700 - come early or be prepared to wait. Our first time, we arrived at 0930 and waited approximately 30-45 minutes. It is a walking distance from our hotel, but public parking is accessible nearby if you decide to bring your car.

Yelp
First time visiting Solvang, recommended by a family member that said "you must stop at Paula's pancakes" And let me tell you it was delicious. The restaurant feels very cozy, food was very tasty, priced reasonably, staff were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back again.

Yelp
Food and coffee are good . Just very disappointed with cutlery , NOT very clean . Make sure your coffee mug doesn't have the last female's lipstick mark on it before your drink from it .

Yelp
Breakfast in Solvang is a big deal. Most of the spots were packed so I narrowed it down to this place and it did not disappoint! We waited a bit less than we were told because we were a party of 2 and a lot of parties left the waitlist. So keep this in mind when visiting.. get here EARLY. Food: everything was great and came out fast Sausage had an interesting flavor Not pictured is my coffee but 5/5 i take my coffee seriously lol. I was awake! Vibe: 5/5 we sat outside and people watched

Yelp
We couldn't leave Solvang without a trip to Paula's Pancake House. There's seating both inside and on the large, front patio for those wishing to add a little people-watching to their morning routine. Seating was quick despite the 9:00 breakfast crowd, and service was prompt. Our order arrived in a short time and coffee/beverage refills were also timely and frequent. The food selection ranges from traditional Danish fare to good ol' all-American favorites. I enjoyed the Danish sausage and my wife ordered the Danish pancakes, which are surprisingly flat but flavorful (and you get two that pretty much cover the entire plate). I should also add that prices were not overly expensive and comparable to similar eating establishments in the city. This seems like a popular place for early to midday snacks, but be aware that like most of the area restaurants, Paula's closes early in the afternoon (daily hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Still, it's worth your time to fit this restaurant into your itinerary when visiting Solvang.

Yelp
We like the eggs Benedict, the ham in the middle is slightly crunchy it's very tasty and the eggs cooked just right, the side cup fruits are fresh and sweet. The danish pancakes are thin just a bit thicker than crepes, it's my first time trying a danish pancake so it's quite exciting for me. Omelette is okay. Coffee is refillable but it's not great coffee, just so so. Utensils can be cleaner. Service is good and fast, but waiting time to get a seat at this place is a nightmare apparently a very popular place in town. We came around 10 am and got our seat around 11.30 am. Ambiance is casual, it's a brunch place.
