A fantastic restaurant with traditional Austrian food and a beer garden! We really enjoyed the Austrian pan dinner and Schlutzkrapfen. The beers and atmosphere out on the patio were also excellent. Our waitress was nice and service was quick. This was a great hidden gem, and we would definitely come back!

I visited this place with my family during our trip to Austria last week, and we chose it based on its great Google reviews — it did not disappoint. The food was incredibly delicious and perfectly seasoned. The customer service was top-notch — warm, attentive, and welcoming. We all had a wonderful time and would love to come back again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and experience!

What a wonderful meal! If you only have one chance to eat in this city, you must come to this restaurant. The service is warm and the dishes are delicious. I’ll come back for another meal if I get the chance. 🙏

A must in Austria!! The best apple strudel, flavour, texture, balance of sweetness, and the warm like recently made. Their schnitzel with potato salad was amazing as well as the pork roast. The waiters and waitress are super friendly, helpful and talk all of them English and German so it is easy to ask for food and recommendations. The place is hard to find after you enter, but just go up until you finish the stairs and turn left. I recommend a reservation however I went last minute after a tour and they were able to accommodate us.

As someone who has worked in a 5-star hotel and a 2-star (Michelin) restaurant in Germany, I have high expectations when it comes to hospitality and food—and Pauli Stubm truly impressed me. The service was excellent: warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. The team created such a welcoming atmosphere with great vibes that made the whole experience feel effortless and relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic Austrian cuisine at its best. Every dish was full of flavor, clearly made with care and tradition in mind. It’s rare to find a place that combines such high quality with such a cozy, down-to-earth setting. Pauli Stubm is a hidden gem I would recommend to anyone who values great service, honest food, and a true local experience. I’ll definitely be back!

We were looking to eat something in late evening and most kitchens were closed. But they still offered food which was great. We had baked potato with sour cream (and salad) and spreads on bread. Both tasted amazing and the service was fast. The cashier guy was very friendly and respectful. They also punched our parking card for discount (for contipark altstadt). The atmosphere in the terrace was lovely. Would definitely recommend this place!

This old-fashioned yet cozy place offers generous portions of Austrian dishes with reasonable prices. The meat and cheese appetizer board was delicious, though the meat was a bit too dry and tough for my taste. However, the pretzel bread that accompanied it was amazing. The spinach and cream cheese ravioli were very flavorful and enjoyable, though it felt a bit heavy towards the end, much like many Austrian dishes. My partner had a special steak dish. While the sauce and potato patties that came with it were amazing, the steak was a bit too tough. The richness of the sauce also makes it difficult to finish everything. Despite the dishes being a bit heavy, we still highly recommend this place if you’re in Salzburg.
