Paul’s is this rare kind of old school barber shop like in the movies. He has been in this location since the 60s, and can really cut hair the old school way, no clippers. Very fair price too. I highly recommend this place - just watch out for the operation hours as he is only open 4 days a week.

Will bust your chops, and before you realize it, the haircuts done and hey, not too shabby for an old man lol

I’ve been coming here for a few years and always had a great experience. What a gem of a barbershop in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood. I hope Paul will be around for many more years to come!

New to the area and decided to go to Paul for a haircut. He did a great job and we made nice conversation. Really good price as well, highly recommend

I came in after normal hours of operation and even though Paul had several other customers to attend to first, he agreed to cut my hair. Turned my long, unkempt hair into a sharp, short cut. Would highly recommend.

I recently started going to Paul's for my haircut. Three times in a row now I've received the best quality cut I can remember getting in NYC. It's a one man show here, and he doesn't rush your haircut. The price is more than fair, too. I wish I had started coming here years sooner.

Went here for the first time today and I have to say Paul does a great job, especially for the price. For $10 he'll cut your hair exactly to your direction. I told him what I wanted and he didn't question it or give suggestions. He's a friendly guy and got talking and let me in on his vast knowledge of the neighborhood as he has been at that exact location for 40 years! So if that doesn't say anything about his hair cutting skills, then I don't know what to tell you. Definitely check him out.

I'm only in Brooklyn for a few months, and needed to find a barber. I picked Paul's, and I'm glad I did! Not only did Paul give me a sick haircut, but we had a great conversation. I highly recommend this place, it's a rare gem. I'm already looking forward to my next haircut!

Yelp
Paul is a veteran, very talented barber. Have been going to his shop for over twenty years. He has an innate sense of style so when you describe how you would like to have your hair done the outcome will suit your personality and you will very likely be pleased. I also like that we exchange information/gossip about the neighborhood. During the pandemic I stopped going but I went in one day to say hello. I told him that because of my advanced age I had to be super careful. You and a lot of other people he said, don't worry that's how it is. I am back of course and happy to see he is busy.

Yelp
CLOSED Saturday, Sunday, & Thursday! I walked into Paul's Hair Styles and there was only one child sitting alone in a chair while a man waited in the sitting room. Paul was on his way to get coffee from a local bodega and this couldn't get more local. I posted the pricing as a Tip but here it is again. * Men's Regular Cut $10 * Men's Cut, Long Hair $13 * Shampoo & Dry $12 * Men's Styled Cut $14 Paul has an intimidating demeanor but I heard him ask the child after his haircut how his mother was doing. This is the stuff I miss back home! HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS!!

Yelp
Best in the hood Discovered like a year ago and I wish I would discovered Paul"s saloon earlier. Fast, stylish, friendly, hygienic and well priced, Feels like other saloons are for boys and Paul's place is for real men Recommend !

Yelp
Was in town for the week and stopped in to get a haircut. Paul treated me like I've been coming there for years. Professional and friendly, I would recommend to anyone living in Brooklyn.

Yelp
$10 hair cut. No frills, no BS. Walk in and wait your turn. One man operation. Classic neighborhood, "Norman Rockwell" style barber shop. I was a little intimidated by Paul at first, but once I got in the chair, he was real nice and got the job done... I'm intimidated by most barbers at first though, for some reason.

Yelp
I typically go to Manhattan barbers where I spend a whole lot more money than I did here; but I've been stupid busy lately and my hair's been getting unruly so I needed a quick cut. I was concerned about getting a cut in this neighborhood because my experiences before have left me with the precise angular details that seem to fit hispanic men but look goofy as hell on a white guy like me. I'd seen this place and decided to give it a go. First off, the price was $10 which blew my mind. How can you run a store and pay yourself on $10 haircuts that take 2-30 minutes? However he does it, Paul does and he did a good job on my hair. Unlike many barbers even at those expensive places he did EXACTLY what I told him, not taking any liberties. It's not the best haircut I've ever had but it's better than a lot of them, it's what I asked for, and it's a great price. Plus, it turned out to be a nice quaint little place, with a friendly guy who most customers seem to know already. Very nice environment.
