Pauly's Dinner is a popular spot, and for good reason—it’s definitely a must-visit! The place was busy, but the food was worth the wait. I got takeout, and the honey chicken was absolutely delicious. The flavors were just perfect! If you’re in the area, I highly recommend trying it out.

What an awesome Chicken Burgers!!! Very authentic southern fried chicken. Had a honey mustard chicken burger and fries. Burger was fully loaded, one very big piece of chicken and really great taste. The spinach was an good upgrade to the mostly common salad and made it even better. Burger buns were awesome, too. Definetly best burger in Taupo as they proclaim! Staff was very friendly.

Absolutely phenomenal food. We had the honey mustard chicken burgers, and the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, with some loaded fries and kumara chips. All of it was fantastic! Fresh, tasty, and juicy. Service was great too - They got our order wrong but corrected it quickly and kept the rest of our food warm while we waited. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great burger. Will definitely be back when we're passing through!

Honey Butter Chicken is great - 5 stars. Onion rings are the fake jelly kind - not actual onion rings. Sauce and toppings are fine. Loaded fries are meh. I ordered ahead of time, turned up when I got the notification that it was ready to be picked up. Then it turns out that it hadn't even been started.

I ordered the honey butter brisket and 2 honey mustard chicken burgers. There was a fly that had been cooked into my chicken brisket - it was so disgusting I threw all the food away

I'm confused, sad, disappointed and confused more. The honey butter chicken is just confused and nothing to do with honey or butter, full of yellow mustard seed and fennel seeds the chicken is a sloppy mess and just cooked. Certainly didn't takeaway well. Blue cheese and hot sauce is a wet mess. Don't order the frozen fried onion rings, I asked about them and was told they were a best seller, I asked for the dukka on the side because I wasn't sure where that spice fitted in with southern fried chicken baskets and burgers. I did ask how long there had been new owners used to be a firm favourite when I'm in taupo. It's certainly not the same mate, it's confused southern chicken, crazy spice bends that are complicated opposite. Onwards and upwards, absolutely had a great walk there and back but that's where the happiness ends. 😭😭😭😭 Oh yeah couldn't help myself and ordered the gravy with cheese...... I'm even more confused.

This was one of the best places I have eaten in New Zealand. This was an excellent burger, high quality meat, Chips (fries) were excellent also. The fried chicken with excellent also. If I am down from Auckland again this is a must stop for a burger 🍔!

excellent burgers here! I've posted an up to date menu on this review, check the photos. they have added more outdoor seating since last time I came. delicious burger tonight! bun is brioche, fluffy and fresh. meat is semi smashed, griddled to perfection! their burger sauce is perfect. i didn't have to pay for extra onions, this might seem trivial but it means a lot to me. the service was good, the guys in there clearly love what they do and are good at it! i come in for a burger every time I'm in taupo. luckily for me I got a new job that will see me get to taupo once a month! thanks Pauly, I will see you again in a few weeks.
