On the Grid : Pause Cat Cafe

"The premise is simple: surround yourself with feline friends and you feel better. It may seem like crazy, but if you're away from home, love in a flat that doesn't allow pets, or just need some company, the difference a short pause with some paws can make is incredible, The menu is locally sourced, sustainable, healthy and artisan in keeping with the overall ethos of wellbeing. Without a doubt, there's no other cafe in town like this." - Bright Blue Day

Cute cats and plenty of toys! If you're there to see the cats, you'll have a good time! They're adorable and some are raring for a gentle scratch. The young ones tend to be racing along of the floor and some might play too. The food was nice, and come in little boxes to keep safe from the cats but none seemed too interested in them. Unfortunately the 'frozen strawberry' drink was completely room temperature which was disappointing on a hot summer day.

A place to relax with the cats. I didn't eat, I just had a coffee. I suggest booking a table upstairs, the cats love to sit at the entrance to the cafe because it has a window. It's very clean, but downstairs there's a strong smell from the litter boxes and there's no ventilation. A place to relax with the cats. I didn't eat, I just had a coffee. Pause Cat Café is an absolute dream for cat lovers! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the most adorable and friendly cats, each with their own personality. Eddie and Max were especially charming—so playful and affectionate! The staff were wonderful—so kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about both the café and the well-being of the cats. The whole place is really well run, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere where both guests and feline residents are happy. The food was delicious, and while it would have been nice to have a non-vegetarian or vegan option, I really can't fault what was served—it was fresh, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, Pause Cat Café is a perfect place to relax, enjoy some quality time with adorable cats, and feel completely at ease. I can’t wait to go back!

A nice cafe cafe, cats all look well looked after and happy there. Quite spacious as it’s over two floors, you are able to walk around the cafe and explore the floors during your allocated time slot. Nice to see the volunteering scheme in action with young adults throughout the cafe. Majority of the cats all friendly however some of them did seem a little fed up with human interaction

It's a lovely place to have a drink while you enjoy watching the cute cats wander around. All the food served is vegan, but the drinks do include dairy milk as well as alternatives. The mac and cheese was lovely - could hardly tell that it was vegan cheese.

Came on a first date with my girlfriend here 5 years ago and it’s still our favourite place to go! Staff are always wonderful and friendly and able to answer any questions we had about the cats, who are also lovely! Food is amazing, we love to get nachos but we are always careful of Sweetcheeks the nacho bandit! I also love the strawberry milkshake and crave it at least once a week :) On my birthday last year my girlfriend gifted me a VIP tour of the cafe which was amazing! Got to go behind the scenes and see where the cats hide when they are not outside, and even took their temperatures to make sure they were healthy! As part of the experience, we got a lovely polaroid photo and a pin badge of my favourite cat, Pumpkin, who will always be special to me even after he has crossed the rainbow bridge :( We love Pause!!! 🐱☕️

A nice place to visit to see some fluffy friends. You can look around the cafe and find a lot of cats. They were mostly sleeping which is normal for such nocturnal animals. We also had some hot drinks which were cool and they had pretty kitty designs. I would recommend the place as it was nice and my son absolutely loved it. We will hopefully come back to see the kittens.

A lot of sleeping cats but still very fun, the soup of the day and coffee is nice!! Food comes in a box with a lid so the cats can't eat it. Cats are very friendly and cute and some are shy, the workers and volunteers are very nice. I would highly recommend!! ᐠ( ᐢ ᵕ ᐢ )ᐟ
