Coffee was great, I had eggs and bacon. It was simple but nice. Seems to be a very popular place as the line is sort of constantly moving to get in. I have to say the young lady who served us was maybe the best experience I've had in Italy. Passionate, polite, hard working and a smile. Great place and worth trying.

Google
We went here after reading the Google reviews. We had no trouble being seated and the service was excellent. The avocado on toast was delicious, but there could have been more avocado. The raspberry croissant was recommended by the waiter and it was excellent. The coffees (decaf oat latte and iced oat coffee) were okay. Overall I would recommend.

Google
Visited this cafe at around 10am on Saturday & dined in — definitely a busy popular cafe so be prepared to line up. All the pastries were good, and the coffees were solid, but I can’t say anything was mind blowing (would be nicer if the pastries were warmed up a little).

Google
Such a delightful pastry selection — there’s truly something for every taste! From flaky chocolate twists to creamy brioche buns, everything looks and tastes absolutely delicious. Perfect spot for a sweet break with great coffee and an amazing variety of fresh baked goods. Highly recommend for pastry lovers!

Google
Probably the best Panettone that I ever had! The focaccia was also delicious. They produce everything in-house. Friendly staff, moderate prices but the place is pretty busy and it can be hard to find aa table.

Google
amazing place and delicious food.. Highly recommend… I went there twice in one week .. First time in weekend and was busy but we didn’t wait for a long time and the service was fine but the food was delicious as we had plain, chocolate croissant and egg with croissant and everything was good. Second time (middle of the week) and was a but quite and service was great and I enjoyed the second experience more..

Google
Whichever we tried was really good and tasty. The service was good. However I think it was overpriced compared to what you get. Tiramisu is one thing I can definitely recommend.

Google
Enjoyed our visit here. Service is great and the pastry case is one of the best in the city. We got the following, with asterisks to indicate what we enjoyed - Crème Croissant* - La Colombe - Cappucino* - Coffee Braid*

Yelp
Out of all the great meals I've had in Italy I can't believe this is my first review. Like most tourists I've been enjoying the hotel breakfast however this morning after a run and a late start I couldn't muster another hotel spread and had to venture out for something new. I found Pave on Yelp however the last review was years ago so I wasn't sure if it was even open. Not only was it open it was booming and I now know why. I sat outside which was lovely despite the heat and enjoyed the Pave sandwich with an added scrambled egg. I had an Americano followed by at a cappuccino, because why not and was incredibly pleased with the entire experience. I wish I would have found this place sooner!!

Yelp
The wait to get inside was approximately 30 minutes on a Saturday mid-morning. The food, coffee, and pastries were all good, but I believe I got food poisoning today. About 60-90 minutes after breakfast, my stomach began to gurgle. I rushed back to the hotel and had diarrhea multiple times. I spent the rest of my vacation in the hotel room taking anti diarrhea medicine, eating saltine crackers, and sipping water. Needless to say, the 21 hours it took to get back to the US were very unpleasant. This place should be inspected by health officials.

Yelp
We wanted to grab breakfast and when I searched online, Pave looked like the best option for us. Due to the jet lag still, we're up early so we ended up as their first customers of the day when we arrived. You seat yourself either outside, upstairs or on the ground level in the dining area if you want to dine in. They also have a restroom on the ground level. A lot of people just got their orders to go. We dined in and sat along the wall on the ground level. Customer service was friendly and we were brought menus right away. We ordered a Pave Sandwich, an Eggs and Bacon, two Americanos, a Lamponi, a flat water and a Croissant filled with Madagascar vanilla filling (this item was to go). The food was quite good and we enjoyed our breakfast here. Mink commented about the quality of the ingredients they use and she said she could taste the difference. It was definitely legit so I concur with her statement. When you're done, you go up to the cashier to pay. Great cafe to check out in Milan!

Yelp
The aesthetic of this place is great. They had fun music playing and a couple signs that basically said they are a cafe and the atmosphere is for that which is nice. The only things available when we arrived around 11am Was the croissant and berries tart. Everything else was sold out, which must be a good sign. Poor planning on our part as we were holding to try some of their pastries. The croissant was good, nothing crazy. The coffee was delicious and very rich in flavor. The berries tart was mildly dry/bland. Overall an enjoyable place but I would suggest coming early so you aren't limited to options like we were. Thanks!

Yelp
We got the Tonka & Lamponi as well as a Cortado. All absolutely wonderful. We very much enjoyed sitting in the loft area, cozy, charming and busy.

Yelp
Delicious, went her twice in our vacation. The line gets long but moves fast!!! The staff is amazing, I think they are superhuman. Highly recommend the filled croissants, and the prosciutto and Stracciatella sandwich!

Yelp
Croissants are five stars along with the service. I love how they take the time to talk to customers. Most of the bread-based items are baked in the house. The desserts look beautiful, but I'm not convinced that they make them as well. I had the sachettorte. thought it was good, but not memorable. Self setting for table surface on two levels .

Yelp
A must if you're in Milan. We went on our last day and I was disappointed we hadn't gone there sooner as I would've made sure we went back several times. They also have iced coffee, which for an American girl in Europe is always a treat. I had the bombolone salato farcito con stracciatella di bufala e culatta di Langhirano the Crema alla vaniglia del Madagascar brioche (croissant) and both were incredible. They offer order at the counter and take away or seated and a server will take your order. I'm already planning my next trip back to Milan so I can eat her again. Highly recommend, do not miss!!

Yelp
Cute cafe with various desserts and drinks. Came here while we were walking around the area on the way to the train station. Takeout and dine-in are available (service charge per person applies). If you opt for dine-in, you pay at the counter afterwards. Single occupant restroom is available. Cash and credit cards are accepted. They were out of croissants by the afternoon, but the cakes were very tasty. The tonka was a light dessert option and had a sprinkling of pistachios (it's not too sweet). The eclissi was the chocolatey cake and a tad richer than the tonka, but still not too sweet. The cappuccino was yummy and they do serve alcohol.

Yelp
We loved popping into Pavé while in Italy! Thoroughly enjoyed delicious their coffee and brunch.

Yelp
OMG - would have ordered everything if we could have! A must visit in Milan! Hip, welcome vibe. Warm service!

Yelp
Perfect spot for breakfast with indoor and outdoor seating. My boyfriend had an espresso, while I went for the cold brew (which was definitely not cold brew, more like weak iced coffee, but having a cold beverage ruled). Apricot tart and peach croissant were both great, and the egg croissant (weekend special) was amazing. Definitely recommended!

Yelp

Yelp
Staff spoke enough English to help us out. They were super nice and speedy. The coffee and food were amazing. We would 1000% go back and highly recommend for breakfast or lunch

Yelp
Tasty, fresh baked breakfast option. Very friendly service. English speaker friendly. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Very expensive and portions are small. Walk a bit and you can find better and cheaper places around the corner

Yelp
Super cute cafe that was like a 15 minute walk from our hotel in Milan. Their cafe macchiato is out of this world. Pastries were huge and fluffy. I think you pay like 3 euros (?) to sit down? Either way, I liked their menu. The waitress's English was pretty good. There's free wifi here as well. Definitely a must stop by!

Yelp
I came into this cafe to meet a friend after exiting the Milano Centrale Station. I was able to take public transit from the station to 500 m away from the store. I was caught in a rainstorm just before getting there- the staff welcomed me in, luggage and all and helped me to the restroom to use the air dryer. Once dry, I sat in the restaurant- super clean, and aesthetically pleasing. There was a ton of seating and free, sustainable WiFi. I felt no rush as I waited for a friend on a delayed train. As an American, I could've cried when I saw cold brew, chai lattes and ICED COFFEE on the menu! Finally, I got my savory breakfast in Italy. I had the chai latte and avocado salmon sandwich. The drink was great but the sandwich was SPECTACULAR! There was a Dijon (?) based aioli on the sandwich , fresh smoked salmon, a generous amount of avocado and arugula- PERFECTION! We stayed for hours , ordering even more coffee and a MARTETOZZO! You have to get it- it's an Italian brioche bun STUFFED TO THE BRIM with perfectly light whipped cream. I wish I had time to go back to the place before leaving Milan! Best breakfast after months in Italy!

Yelp
THIS is the spot. Welcoming environment, delicious food and coffee, and friendly staff. 100% recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
There isn't much else on this street but it's worth the trek here just for the pistachio and white chocolate tart (pictured). Also picked up some biscotti for friends back home. Service is excellent (English menus are available on request). Be warned that eating is communal so you may find yourself rubbing up against some people you've never met; ive only had friendly experiences so far.

Yelp
Very good espresso and treats. Very friendly to English speaking folks. Enjoyed my sandwich very much. It had fresh mozzarella! Recommended here to anyone!

Yelp
I'm still dreaming about Pavé's croissants so it hurts a little bit to write this review knowing it will easily be years until I'll ever be able to try them again. We came here for breakfast and it was easily the best cappuccino and the best croissant sandwiches I had in Italy. The place is cute and small, with more seating in an upstairs balcony. That said, we were still seated at a table for four with two strangers-no problem for us but just a heads up. Pavé had so many wonderful looking pastries and tortes but ALAS it was too early in the morning for me-I went straight for the XL cappuccino (which I'd classify as an American small or medium, depending on the place) and the ham and cheese croissant. My partner got the vegetarian arugula and cheese croissant. I gotta tell you, the croissants here are cooked to absolute perfection: perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and almost doughy on the inside. They were gorgeous, perfect storybook croissants and I just can't tell you how much I will continue to dream about them. Wish I had been in Milan longer to come back here multiple times!

Yelp
Excellent pastries and desserts!! Tonka (6 euro) was incredible. Loved the texture / taste of the crust, the cream which was not too sweet, and the yummy pistachio crumble on top!! Would be great as a dessert. Fruit pastry (2 euro) was really good and would work well as a breakfast or snack.

Yelp
This hipstery cafe is cranking out delicious pastries and drinks. There is a mix of locals and tourists crowding the space, attesting to its popularity. Upon entering the display case is a site to behold, showcasing their crafted cakes and desserts. We ordered the pistachio tonka, the barbajada drink and a pims cocktail. The pistachio tonka was sweet and delicious. The sweet cream on top with short bread at the bottom and pistachio in between adding an earthiness to this sweet treat. The cocktail was well balanced and the barbajada was also just the caffeine hit I needed. Grab a pastry, a coffee and maybe a cocktail if it's not too early. Atmosphere: 5/5 Food/drink: 5/5 Cost: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Overall: 5/5
google avatar

Dillon L.

Yelp
Looking for a cafe to get breakfast, we decided to go here. I had the ham and cheese croissant and barbajada to drink. Their sweet pastries looked so good, but I wanted something a little more substantial so I got the meat croissant. And it was still really good. Good portion of ham and cheese, and the croissant was buttery and flakey. I've never heard of barbajada, but it was a chocolatey coffee drink. They give you a small glass. It was a bit too bitter for me, but after adding some sugar I really enjoyed it. Nice cafe for coffee and pastries. Good wifi too.

Yelp
Pavé is a cozy, quaint, hipster-esque cafe in Milan. My sister and I were craving something sweet so we stopped by Pavé mid-afternoon. Almost all of the seats (including the armchairs) were taken except for a square table, and we had to sit next to another couple. All of the tarts and pastries looked so-o pretty, and we stood by the counter for a few minutes just to stare. We ordered a kouign-amann and sfogliatelle to share. It was our first times trying out these baked goods, and they did not disappoint. The kouign-amann was made of pull-apart, folded pastry squares, and it was extremely rich, buttery, but not over the top sweet. The sfogliatelle could have been a bit warmer, but it was still delicious. Like any European pastry, the roll was crunchy, crackly on the outside, but still buttery, soft, and chewy on the inside. I only wish they put more custard cream inside. They do cover charge per person, but the atmosphere and ambience of the cafe makes you want to stay there all afternoon.

Yelp
Items Selected: Millefoglie St. Honore Apricot Walnut and Custard Focaccia Dulce Prune Croissant Lemon Hazelnut Plum Cake Hazelnut and Ginger Girella Given the international status of Milan it should not be expected that a smattering of imports and trendy concepts have begun to infuse their dining landscape, yet taking into account the seemingly universal belief of Italians regarding their craftsmanship being unparalleled Pave still seemed like an outlier, the food and the service both seemingly transported from Brooklyn's Hipster scene. Located on Via Felice Casati and offering traditional counter service in addition to a smattering of tables packed-to-capacity even at the off-hour of 10h00 on a Thursday, patrons entering Pave may be shocked by the frenetic pace and high volumes created by high ceilings and loud voices, the exposed kitchen seeing a flurry of activity as Baristas quickly pull shots while also running tabs and shelving fresh Pastries. Taking a modern approach to their work, none of the standard Bombolini, Cornetto or Cannoli offered elsewhere to be found, humorous T-shirts including "Bread or Death" and "Chocolate is the Answer" flank a collection of perhaps two-dozen daily choices, the Lemon Plum Cake eaten warm from the oven nicely flavored with a moist, crumbly texture while an equally fresh Croissant saw it's golden shell shatter into a hundred pieces around a whole grain center stuffed with Prune Jam. Further impressing with the complex flavor of fresh Apricot, Walnuts and soft-set Custard at the center of a laminated square as a coil of springy Brioche saw senses refreshed by the flavors of Ginger juxtaposing toasted Hazelnuts, the tasting of Pave ended with a pair of French Classics showing the St. Honore to unfortunately be slightly soggy while the just-stacked Millefoglie fared far better with Zabaglione offered as a stand-in for traditional Custard or Cream.

Yelp
I definitely recommend making the journey to Pavé if you're in Milan. It was absolutely delicious. The croissant was buttery and flaky, not heavy. I also had a fruit tart with raspberries. Of course, I also had coffee. I had both a latte macchiato and marocchino. Both very well crafted drinks.

Yelp
Truly great place; laid back atmosphere, fantastic coffee and extraordinary fresh juice, try the apple beetroot ginger juice if you get the opprtunity orgo for the Meat & Cheese platter... Best coffee shop in Milano I'd say...

Yelp
This place is such a gem! We arrived here around 10:30am on a Saturday morning and it was hustling and bustling. It was busy serving tourists and locals great and amazing pastries and coffee. We got seated after a 10 minute wait, which seems like the norm for many people who left a review here. We were seated promptly and given their menu, all of which sounds amazing! We had the panettone with a nice cream. The Tonka was also delicious! Both pastries were not too sweet and are definitely recommended! We also had the coffee which was good as well. Their service was prompt and impressive for a place that was always bustling with people coming in and out. It took us some time to put in our order for our food but other than that, we have absolutely no complaints! I would definitely recommend you check out this gem if you are visiting Milan!
google avatar

Yelp
I don't often leave 5-star reviews, but this place is certainly worth it. From the friendly services, to the fresh pastries baked on site, to the perfectly steamed cappuccini, this place has everything you need to start your day. We were recently in Milano on vacation and tried this place out on a whim. Needless to say, we returned every morning. Not a single complaint. Tables are available on two floors, some of which are shared among visitors (which might sound somewhat unappealing, but we never had a problem). Prices are reasonable, and service is prompt. Careful on the weekend when things can get a little busy, you might have to wait five minutes for a table, and the bar area can get a little crowded. Oh, and the cappuccino is available in an XL size in case you have a long day planned.
google avatar

Christine T.

Yelp
Highly recommending you to come to this cute coffee pastry shop if you ever find yourself in Milan. The shop itself is just cute and causal. The decoration is very European and young. It gives you the feeling that you are sitting in someone's home kitchen. We tried the butter croissant, lemon tart, and vanilla crispy pie... they were so amazingly delicious ! Pieces are very reasonable and service is fast ! Come here for a nice breakfast, shopping break or afternoon tea ! you might have to wait in line to get a table, but it normally takes around 10-15 mins ! ( it's worth the wait, trust me !) Give it a try !
google avatar

Matteo M.

Yelp
Love this place but why don't they have cheesecakes? Cheesecakes are getting incredibly popular in Milano so I bet they can make a pretty good one! The place is super cozy and you feel just like at home on your living room, you can enjoy some nice pastries and a coffee while reading newspapers in the morning. This place is unique and it doesn't have that much competition around. All the places nearby are the usual boring cheap dates coffee places with the same boring croissant and espresso. Pavè brings some fresh air to the breakfast scene by providing a nice location, welcoming stuff and awesome pastries/coffee/bakery. Gonna be going back pretty often! Remember to make a cheesecake next time ;)

Yelp
I came here last year (back in November of 2014) when I was only in Milan for less than a day. I had just arrived all the way from the states and my train was cancelled due to a strike. So I stored my luggage and decided to make the best of my "layover" in the city. The first place I found on Yelp within a reasonable distance was Pave! Once I got here it was the first time I had relaxed in over 36 hours and it was the perfect place to do so. I loved the ATMOSPHERE! Beautifully relaxing and full of friendly people of all types. It was cozy enough for me to feel comfortable settling in for a bit while I got my bearings and planned my unexpected day in Milan. I was lucky that the friendly people behind the counter spoke a bit of English too which was also comforting at the time. The FOOD was delicious! I love the natural juice and my panini was perfectly cooked and executed. I was really excited for this to be my first meal on this 3 week trip to Italy. My food was my favorite part of my whole trip - all over Italy - and I was really happy that this panini sandwich at Pave started it off right. I would definitely suggest coming here if you've got extra time in Milan. It's the perfect place in the city for a delicious panini, it's off the beaten path but so welcoming and friendly!

Yelp
Nice coffeeshop but very hard to find. Its a small shop in het buenos aires area with nice coffee a hipster vibe and the most delicious patisserie. I've had the pistacio tart and it was very good. The interior is very basic and the prices are okay. Good place to meet with a friend for a long conversation ;)

Yelp
Must visit in Milan!! Me and my friend arrived around 10ish and the place has already been full with customers. I had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated but worth it! I ordered cinnamon roll and raisin, taste was so good. Not too sweet and a bit crunchy. The cappucino was fine. I also ordered fragole mascarpone and I loooovee it! The strawberries were fresh and sweet. The cream was also good. It was made perfectly!! Definitely will go back!!
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
We love the caffe macchiato and the buttery croissants here! It was hard to find a good croissant in Italy and here, it was amazing. Buttery with just the right amount of sweetness. I wish it were here in America ): service exceptional as always in Italy. Grazie mille!
google avatar

Volkan Ö.

Yelp
Very nice place for a breakfast... The waitress recommended the croissant with vanilla cream and it was frickin' delicious. However we did have to wait 10 minutes in line to pay... Not good!
google avatar

Manish B.

Yelp
Great for a light breakfast, if you are in the area. The pastry I tried was one of the best I have ever had .. just wonder what the best one is , is it the flakiness , the sweetness, the hint of butter or just he toppings .. guess Pavé has figured it out for me .. cappuccino was average .. but pastry was amazing . Highly recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly one of the highlights of my time in Milan. All the pastries were so good. I got the ham + cheese croissant and the cappuccino, my friend got the fruit tart and cappuccino. Honestly, if I could order one of everything, I would have. I did try - ordered the chocolate croissant and the raspberry croissant to go. Will say the chocolate croissant wasn't as intensely chocolate as I had thought it would be given the outside coloring, but still good, especially as I had it 24 hrs later. Bought the chocolate tart and the coffee chocolate braid for my friends, and they really enjoyed them as well. Also, interior aesthetic is absolutely on point, would live here if I could.

Yelp
Open letter to Pave'. So far I'm not impressed with Pave', also if I've been here more than three times. I can't help but wonder why they changed so quickly the spirit the place was born with. Getting popular does authomatically mean you need to change attitude? Maybe. I'm not talking about the quality, that is always good. Just thinking about the small cakes, awesome. During my last visit with friends I paid more than 2 euros for a kipfel, sort of an almond croissant, good but not unforgettable. What I did not appreciate is the fact that all of my friends and I got charged at the register of 1 euro just for the table service. Is it a joke? Aren't the prices high enough to include the service? After all we are not in the USA and Pave' doesn't look like the kind of old style italian cafe where you get charged for a table service, not for lunch but for a coffee and a croissant. The staff has been very nice during the last visit when I was sitting at a communal table downstairs, bad, slow and unattentive in the previous one when I was sitting upstairs. Sitting upstairs looks like somebody will forget about your presence soon. The place still looks cozy, they have american brewed coffee (rare in town) and still deserves more than one visit, but paying so much and being charged 1 more additional euro for the service made me become reluctant and change my mind. If you guys at Pave change your mind and decide to take the service off at least for afternoon coffee I will be back, I promise. After all you got so popular, and have so many people visiting, that you really need to charge so much? #Thanks#

Yelp
Our AirBnb was 5mins walk from this Cafe so we decided to try it. Their pastries were crusty in all the right places and the sweetness was just right. Cafe Late was also quite good and makes for a perfect drink with the pastry. There are plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. If you drink and eat Italian Bar Style (standing at the bar) the drink and food will be cheaper. We visited this place twice and did the Italian standing at the bar on the first visit and sat upstairs on our second visit. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
For having cappuccinos as the country's morning drink, this place was a nice change of pace. Of course you could still order a cappuccino, which I did, but my husband was able to enjoy something a little sweeter. Their drinks were very good and their pastries were delicious as well. They also offered savory pastries too which I wish I had gotten but still not a disappointment as my meal was just wonderful. Will definitely go back here next time I'm in Milan.

Lin D.

Yelp
Had their special coffee and it was great. The cake (pear with chocolate) was a bit too sweet for me. The seating was on the small side but it was cozy.
google avatar

Steve G.

Yelp
Charming place with out of this world pastries. The chocolate croissant was the perfect punctuation for the ham and cheese and cappuccino. The tables flip quickly so the crowd at the curb shouldn't scare you. Staff was very friendly- especially to Americans. Lovely!!
google avatar

Michele S.

Yelp
Great place for sweet pastries and awesomely brewed coffee. This time I got a Hibiscus and an espresso, and I enjoyed both. Service is fast and nice, the place is modern and a little hip (but not too much). Prices are average for Milan.

Yelp
We stopped by this cute cafe the day we arrived in Milan for a caffeine and sweets fix before our dinner. We were greeted by a friendly man who spoke English well and seated us at a table. After placing our orders, I glanced over and discovered 3, tall, macho, good-looking men working behind the counter, taking orders, making coffee, etc. I'm not sure if they are there daily but ladies should stop by for something, even if it's to use their restroom, just to witness this! Back to the point. I ordered a cappuccino and we shared a chocolate tart. My cappuccino was good but it wasn't hot for some reason ... possibly my milk wasn't heated enough, or did the man who make it feel as though the heat emitting from him alone was enough :)? The tart was decent also, but not amazingly good ... Perhaps bc the male who served us it felt that he was good enough? Lol, jokes aside, Pave is a cozy cafe worth your visit. Check it out!

Yelp
Good pastries and espresso and very friendly service, but it is somewhat out of the way. Unless you happen to be in the area, I would say that it is not worth a special trip. No complaints about my experience there, just a long walk from our apartment and nothing special to justify it.

Yelp
Great little breakfast place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved it so much that I went two days in a row. Capuchinos are amazing and the croissants even more. Also had the lemon tart which was tasty. Highly recommend.
