How Düsseldorf transformed into a leading cultural hub - SilverKris

"Designed by an architect intent on restoring the historic network logic of the square, this award-winning wooden pavilion recreates the old proportions of the space, aligns sympathetically with the neighbouring red-brick church and nearby tower block, and forms part of a broader project to reconnect and humanize an area previously divided by elevated traffic." - Alexander Wolff

Centrally located, well-maintained massive lawn, ample parking. Splash pad for kids, wide sidewalk for jogging. Great venu for community events. -1 because the irrigation system soaks parts of the lawn and even makes deep and dangerous holes.

Visiting the wife's family here I'm from Texas and our daughter had a BLAST here super great place!!! Only thing... I think this water spout here has a wasp nest under the bottom portion of it. Just wanna watch out for the little ones!!! It's a super great park though

My kids had lots of fun playing in the water jets that come up out of the ground. The playground's really nice too. Spent several hours here

Our favorite Stapleton park! My 4yr old requests to go to "the muddy hill park" where little ones love to make mud on this dirt hill, there are play structures for all ages and abilities and a splash pad like area! We just moved here and it has already become a go-to, must do, fun place for us!

This is a great space. We usually come here for my son's favorite palyground, he calss it the Purple Hills. The fountain is also a big hit with plenty of children enjoying the cool water. There is also a plethora of interconnected trails that offers a choose-your-own-adventure style walk. This can turn into a larger adventure since these paths also connect with the Sand Creek Greenway Trail. We sometimes take a walk to the Stanley Marketplace.

Our first visit here this year for a rugby match. The grass was well maintained and the facilities (primarily bathrooms and water sources) were appropriate for the number of attendees.

Went here to enjoy the "splash pad" with the daughters. Overall, it's great entertainment on a hot day. Some things to note, though. Splash pad fountains don't start up until 10am (at least for us in early June). Basically, there are a lot of in-ground fountains shooting water to varying heights. Occasionally (every 30-60 seconds), water pressure drops way down, but only for a few seconds. My 3yo eventually came around and had a blast running through the fountains. It was a little too much for the 1yo. She had a few good splashes, but overall mostly watched. There isn't a small pool of standing water to splash around in or anything like that. Not a lot of overhead shade, so wear sunscreen. Good way to kill an hour with some kids, especially if you're not afraid to get a little wet.

I go here often with my kids, and it’s a mixed bag. At the playground, the sun is great in the winter and unbearable during the summer (there is no shade at all). And unfortunately, the splash pad seems to have been retired, as it wasn’t turned on last summer. Much of the play equipment resembles an obstacle course, which my kids think is amazing. The rock wall (and surrounding rocks) is a cool idea, but is unsafe because of a large drop off. I’m not a fan of the rubber layer on the ground in the majority of the playground (why not grass instead? Or even mulch?), which only makes the park hotter. That said, the walking trails around this park are stunning, and my kids do enjoy the playground. They’d probably give it 5 stars, but it’s a 3 from this mom of two.
